Extremely disappointed with my experience at American Tire Depot. I called on Monday and spoke with a representative about purchasing a new set of Michelin tires for my vehicle. We were both online reviewing the available options and ultimately decided on a specific set of tires. Since my vehicle requires different tire sizes for the front and rear, the representative confirmed that they had the two rear tires in stock but needed to check on the availability of the front tires. While we were on the phone, I mentioned that their website showed the two front tires were available. The representative assured me that if I scheduled my appointment for Thursday, they would have all four tires at the shop by then. Fast forward to Thursday. I arrived for my scheduled appointment, only to be told by the clerk that they didn't have ANY of the tires at the shop! When I asked why nobody had bothered to notify me beforehand, the clerk had absolutely no explanation. What was the point of scheduling an appointment if no one bothered to verify that the tires would be available? A simple phone call would have saved me the inconvenience of driving to the shop and wasting my time. No follow-up, poor communication, and terrible customer service. This was a complete waste of my time, and the lack of accountability made the experience even more frustrating. I would not recommend American Tire Depot to anyone who values their time or expects a business to follow through on its commitments. read more

Please read Lisa M. review as my incident was exactly the same. This morning, Tuesday Sept 8th I had an appointment for tire repair. I had a small hard plastic item that made my tire flat after driving over it because LAPD made us go over traffic collision debris. The employee looked at my tire for about 1 to 2 seconds and said no it's not repairable. My tire is 3 months old. He attempted to sell me a replacement for $249. I told him no, I'll get a second opinion elsewhere. I took it to El Camimo Tires in NOHO where the employee said of coarse it is repairable. It was as stated before hard plastic in the middle of the tire. 20 minutes later he charged me $25. I gave him $30 and thanked him for his honesty and quick work. came in late in just before closing but Leo was more than courteous and professional enough to accommodate me and get me back on the road with a brand new tire so I can be safe. not a long wait had me in and out in about 20-25 mins give or take. tire was pretty steep in my opinion but can't put a price on peace of mind or safety. read more

After seeing the positive reviews, I went to their website (which is super easy to use) and made an appointment and ordered 2 tires to be installed the same day. I then called and asked if I could do all 4 tires and they said, Sure, no problem. I arrive and was helped by Leo. I had 4 beautiful new tires installed at a very reasonable price within an hour. What can I say? I've been coming to the specific location for over a decade. I have seen it go through its fair share of managers. Nothing wrong with any of them. But I will say in the 10 years that I have been coming to this location as a loyal customer. I have never seen it in better shape than under Juan's managerial direction. The place is warm the place is welcoming. Excellent customer service and Juan is caring, compassionate and exactly what this location needs. It's professional. It's clean and Juan takes care of the customer the way the customer deserves to be taken care of. This location has a blessing in Juan. I was looking for a tire store that was open on Sundays and this one came up. I arrived right when they opened, so I was the first and only one there and was helped immediately. When I had my car serviced at my dealership, they said I had 2 tires with low tread, but suggested I go to a different store to get them cheaper. Here, one of the employees checked the treads, confirmed that at least one of them definitely needed to be changed and suggested that the others were nearing the time that they had to be changed as well. Since they were having a deal for 3 tires and I didn't want to come back in a few months, I just had all 4 tires changed. I read another reviewer say that there were shops nearby you could look around at, so instead of waiting in the waiting room, I chose to go out and wander. I'm glad I did because at the end of the block is 5 Points Park, so I just spent the next 1.5 hours sitting on the grass on my phone enjoying nature and the weather until I got a text back saying my car was ready. It came to $500 for 4 tires plus $100 for alignment which I was told is sometimes needed when the tires are changed. It's still a lot to pay for, but when I looked it up, those prices were reasonable and anything having to do with car repairs is going to cost a lot anyway. Overall, I was satisfied with the quickness in which I was helped and the honesty and reasonableness of the repairs and costs for them. read more

Jake was the best! Went in on a dummy tire with two nails in my actual tire. He offered to patch, and was honest enough to let me know I can get away with that and should be fine. Opted for two rear tires anyways for peace of mind, but he was not pushy at all and took great care of me! I stopped in with no appointment and was out in less than an hour! My wife's car needed two new tires and an alignment. I got quotes from a few vendors. American Tire Depot matched the lowest priced quote I received. We took the car in and the manager Juan took care of us promptly. A couple of hours later we were informed the car was ready. We went back and I noticed that the wheel lock master key was missing. Tire got a nail in it and had a slow leak so I dropped by on a Friday evening at 5 and they said no problem they could plug it! Luckily the nail was right in the middle of the tire in the thick part of the tread. They also completed it faster than the 45 minute estimate. They all were very nice and helpful and I would definitely recommend American Tire Depot for free flat repair, free tire rotation and if you need new tires!!! This morning, I went to American Tire in Burbank to have a flat repaired. I was told the tire was unsafe and could not be fixed, even though the puncture was in the center of the tread and the tire was in great condition with significant tread remaining. I was advised that I would need to purchase a new tire and was further told it would be best to replace two tires to avoid imbalance, at a cost of $220 per tire. I declined and asked that the tire be removed. I then took it to a secondhand tire shop, where the flat was successfully repaired and the tire was reinstalled for $30. I was extremely disappointed and felt I was being upsold unnecessarily. I am tired of dealing with this type of sales pressure and will not be returning to this location or to other stores that operate in a similar way. Don't waste your time--go to North Hollywood and deal with people who are honest. read more
