I was looking for a tire store that was open on Sundays and this one came up. I arrived right when they opened, so I was the first and only one there and was helped immediately. When I had my car serviced at my dealership, they said I had 2 tires with low tread, but suggested I go to a different store to get them cheaper. Here, one of the employees checked the treads, confirmed that at least one of them definitely needed to be changed and suggested that the others were nearing the time that they had to be changed as well. Since they were having a deal for 3 tires and I didn't want to come back in a few months, I just had all 4 tires changed. I read another reviewer say that there were shops nearby you could look around at, so instead of waiting in the waiting room, I chose to go out and wander. I'm glad I did because at the end of the block is 5 Points Park, so I just spent the next 1.5 hours sitting on the grass on my phone enjoying nature and the weather until I got a text back saying my car was ready. It came to $500 for 4 tires plus $100 for alignment which I was told is sometimes needed when the tires are changed. It's still a lot to pay for, but when I looked it up, those prices were reasonable and anything having to do with car repairs is going to cost a lot anyway. Overall, I was satisfied with the quickness in which I was helped and the honesty and reasonableness of the repairs and costs for them. read more

We took the car in and the manager Juan took care of us promptly. A couple of hours later we were informed the car was ready. We went back and I noticed that the wheel lock master key was missing. Tire got a nail in it and had a slow leak so I dropped by on a Friday evening at 5 and they said no problem they could plug it! Luckily the nail was right in the middle of the tire in the thick part of the tread. They also completed it faster than the 45 minute estimate. They all were very nice and helpful and I would definitely recommend American Tire Depot for free flat repair, free tire rotation and if you need new tires!!! They tried to sell me a new set of tires instead despite me pleading that I didn't have the funds for new tires. We ordered a tire to arrive the same day, and my car was ready for pickup the next morning. Everything went extremely smoothly and without a hiccup. This morning, I went to American Tire in Burbank to have a flat repaired. I was told the tire was unsafe and could not be fixed, even though the puncture was in the center of the tread and the tire was in great condition with significant tread remaining. I was advised that I would need to purchase a new tire and was further told it would be best to replace two tires to avoid imbalance, at a cost of $220 per tire. I declined and asked that the tire be removed. I then took it to a secondhand tire shop, where the flat was successfully repaired and the tire was reinstalled for $30. I was extremely disappointed and felt I was being upsold unnecessarily. I am tired of dealing with this type of sales pressure and will not be returning to this location or to other stores that operate in a similar way. Don't waste your time--go to North Hollywood and deal with people who are honest. read more

Had a bad morning and broke the valve stem on my Tesla. With all of the air gone from the tire, I could not drive my car. I had to get it back on the road ASAP. Called around for a replacement TPMS. I received a quote from Juan and he was half cheaper than the other tire shops around me. Brought my tire in and Juan took care of the rest. He walked me thru the entire process. He explained the sensor will be programmed for my car but since I was only able to bring in the tire, the car might not recognize it right away. But not to worry, drive it around for 30 mins and come back if there are any issues. I reinstalled my wheel and went for a 10 minute drive and the low pressure warning went away. I'm so glad to get the car back on the road and for having an American Tire close by. Worst experience ever - completely unprofessional I rarely leave reviews, and when I do, it's usually to share a positive experience. Unfortunately, my visit to American Tire Depot was so terrible that I feel obligated to warn others. And apparently, I wasn't alone--several other customers were complaining about the exact same thing while I was there. I made an appointment and dropped off my car at 11:00 AM for a simple oil and filter change. I was told it would only take about an hour. I went to grab lunch and came back an hour later--my car was still in the exact same parking spot. They hadn't even started the work. When I asked the staff member about it, he said they'd be done "soon," but I told him be honest should I take an Uber home and come back a little later, and suggested I go home and relax. So I did. Four hours later, around 3:30 PM, I still hadn't heard anything, so I called. I was told they were short-staffed but my car was "next" and would be done in about 30 minutes. An hour later, I took an Uber back--only to find my car still untouched in the same parking spot. This time they claimed they were "waiting on a filter part." I pointed out that just an hour earlier, they said they hadn't even looked at it yet. The story kept changing every time I asked. It's now almost 6:00 PM--seven hours later--and I'm still waiting for my car to be done!!!! While I was sitting there, I saw three other customers complain about the same thing. One woman had waited four hours and finally gave up, took her keys, and left. Honestly, this was one of the most unprofessional and frustrating experiences I've ever had.
