I've been to a couple Costco's and by far this is probably the nicest Costco I've ever been too from the customer service to the cleanliness of the store. The lines aren't as crazy as the Richmond Costco and the employee's who work here seem to be much nicer and not as rude. If I lived closer to the area I would for sure be coming to this Costco instead of anywhere else. read more

We stopped here after lunch at Zachary's today. We have shopped here several times when out this way and I really like it. The only thing it lacks is a gas station. The parking lot is large and it wasn't completely parked up today so we decided to go in. The layout is roughly the same as the Richmond Costco. Because it's the week leading up to New Year's Eve there is a range of champagne and sparkling wines on offer from $10 bottles to bottles costing more than $100. The fresh produce selection is good as usual. I have found blueberries out here when they weren't offered in Richmond. The cheese selection is often better than in Richmond and the wine selection is broad and varied. It's a more upscale market and Costco pitches its products at that level. We picked up what we needed and were out surprisingly quickly, counting ourselves lucky. read more

This is our usual Costco that we go to to pick up the essentials needed in bulk for the month. It's really awesome that Costco's in general are now carrying more allergen friendly foods. Wish they were sampling more of those foods when you're walking around and doing the sampling, but oh well. At least at this location no matter what I can always get through the check out lane fast. Even when it's really crowded were able to get through with just one person in front of us, that's efficient! read more

I tried calling to see if the store sold brusqsel sprouts. I called the number and the automated system was unclear so I pressed to be routed to optical to see if they can redirect me to the right department. The lady interrupted my question and just said hold on, abruptly. She then transferred me but there was no answer. Regardless of which department the customer was trying to reach, why not try to take of the customer the best you can. Worst customer experience I've ever had at this store. So shameful. read more

This is a review for the new SELF CHECK OUT service. The self check out is like the one at Safeway, only larger. When scanning your item, you must run the item over the scanner table (no handheld scanner available). If you have a large, heavy, or awkward shaped item, the scanning effort is quite difficult and cumbersome. After scanning the item, you are required to place the item in the 3x3 tray. This is Costco, where items are "Costco Sized," so the tray fills up quickly and sometimes a balancing act is required to keep items from falling off. The tray is also very sensitive. It kept telling me to remove items, when I didn't add any. DEAR COSTCO-please go to Sam's Club and see how they make self check out pleasant and efficient. Sam's Club has a handheld scanner, so you can just scan each item in your basket without heaving heavy items up and down. Sam's Club has a self check out APP for the phone, so you can shop and scan as you go, then check out/pay on your phone. read more

We come to this Costco every Saturday, and we like it here, BUT last Saturday for the 2nd time now the Rotisserie Chicken we got was not cooked fully, last time we had bought 2 and we took them back and got our money back. When we went to go get 2 new ones that same day, all the chickens seemed to be the same. I asked the man who was working with the chickens if they changed their cooking times he said " sometimes we take them out a little early, because the people want the chickens" I was kinda blown away by that response. We always look for the darker chickens, that day there was none. So we left and went to Livermore and found beautiful dark chickens. Last Saturday I had thrown away the receipt so I just cooked the chicken the rest of the way. Not what I wanted to do, but it is what it is. Going to shop at Livermore now and get some cooked chickens from now on. Word of advice, cook your chickens longer!! People want cooked chicken! read more

I have such a love/hate relationship with Costco. I love the frozen yogurt. I love the hot dogs. I like to stroll around and grab a sample and my few items and head out. the service is always good and the workers seem to know what they're doing. I've never had an issue there. That being said: I HATE EVERYONE THAT SHOPS AT COSTCO. The parking lot is a nightmare. We've seen people stand in a space and call their partners who are in another part of the lot trying to find one. Patrons never look around them and generally drive like they're the only ones there. They also leave the carts EVERYWHERE but the cart bay. That's the rudest damn thing ever. Have you seen those poor workers towing giant trains of carts back to the store? Thats a shit job so why would you make it harder on your fellow man by ditching your cart with the seven others hung up on a curb? Don't be a dick. Take the two minutes to put your cart back. You'll get into heaven. For some reason, when people enter Costco, they immediately become stoned. They walk in and start veering all over the aisle, they stare into space, they stop in the middle of traffic and look at the ceiling. THERE'S A MILLION GODDAMN PEOPLE AROUND YOU! GET OUT OF THE WAY! If I have to use a cart when I go, I generally accept that I'm going to turn into the Incredible Hulk before I leave. And why is it acceptable for people to buy cartloads of stuff and then park it in the walkway while they eat their chicken bake? Eat first. Then get your crap. Makes sense doesn't it? Sitck with me. First I am long time devoted member of Costco. We have an Executive account and have purchased heating and AC for our home, cars, vacations along with our everyday shopping. We are moving to another state and I recently bought a wine refrigerator from Costco.com to be delivered to our new home. The product itself is just what I ordered, no surprise. The delivery experience and actually getting the wine refrigerator delivered was A NIGHTMARE! I spent a combined 7+ hours on the phone with Costco and AM Trucking the company subcontracted to deliver the wine refrigerator. Once I bought the wine refrigerator Costco just referred to me to AM Trucking and took now further ownership, even though they sold me the product. AM Trucking is upside down. First, they didn't try to schedule a delivery after my request and instead called me the night before they were going to deliver regardless of my schedule. My rescheduled appointment was "lost" and then it took three more calls (average hold time 1:15) before I could get a delivery time that worked for everyone confirmed and they acted like they were doing me a favor delivering it. The day of delivery had a window of 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. At 4:15 p.m. I called customer service as I had not heard anything. They were condescending and rude, finally stating the truck was "on it's way". The truck showed up at 8 p.m. The delivery folks were professional and frankly I felt sorry for them, they are getting no support from their company. The AM trucking offers a callback option on their phone which I used once, still waiting for that call back. They also offer an email option for "faster service". The responded to email four days later. I have never worked so hard to get a $1K+ order delivered in my life. I'm going to Amazon from now on. Costco if you are going to have a website and sell things make sure you have a delivery service that can support your level of customer service, AM Trucking isn't cutting it. read more

Wow how about telling me to your right or any verbal communication. On my way to the checkout another employee is riding the cart and almost ran me and my son over. 1)Very disappointing service - we bought two pieces of furniture (1 couch and a chest). The box of the couch was badly damaged and so I requested one of the sales guy to help open the box, he just opened the top and said it should be ok- so I asked him if he could tape back the top of the box and he asked me to check with their front staff. Met with the manager and asked him multiple times if he could tape the box as we were going to get their recommended moving company to bring it home and wanted to make sure the couch reached us safely. The manager promised us he would personally take care of it and did not do it!!! 2)Their recommend moving company prices are insane (M&J enterprise) - they charge $70 per piece and $20 for each additional piece - that itself is reasonable, but they will not open the box or fix stuff for you (for that they charge $40 or more per item). I highly recommend you buy your furniture items from Tracy Costco and use their delivery guys (have it delivered: 925.454.1422)is the name of the company. Delivery charge is $70, plus $10 per addition item and free assembly and box removal. Use (have it Delivered) them instead and save yourself the trouble of working with poor customer service employees at Livermore , and unnecessary expenses! read more

Unfortunately today was not the day for Costco employees...which is strange since everyone had a day off yesterday (Labor Day..in which they do get paid for). Andrea, the cashier, I must say is probably the most rude, and unprofessional cashiers I have encountered at this Costco (usually you get a hi, hows your day, not in the most friendly way, but it's the thought that counts). I told her I had two separate orders, and I apologize because I know it's a pain (which I usually do and get a long sigh and eye roll. ITS GREAT TO GET TREATED LIKE IM DOING SOMETHING WRONG). Her response "I dont care. None of us do." Excuse me WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU. GET THE HELL OUT OFF THE FRONT END AND STICK YOURSELF IN THE BACK BAILING BOXES IF YOU ARE GOING TO TALK TO ME LIKE THAT. Pretty over the way these cashiers treat people and get away with it. Would like to see improvements in customer service but I have a funny feeling it won't since money is time, time is money, and who has time to find decent people to work a job like that. Shopping at Costco has turned into a miserable experience! I used to be a big fan of Costco, but ever since a new warehouse manager came on board about 6+ months, the location of items in the store change on a weekly, sometimes daily basis- with no rhyme or reason! When i tried to explain my frustration to the manager tonight-telling him the 2 people behind me in the checkout line were voicing the same complaint- he just argued and defended Costco's way of handling things. I know Costco's policy is to move things to keep you roaming the store so you'll buy more, but this has gotten ridiculous and has made me rethink shopping there. I will just support local grocery stores and buy my other items on Amazon. read more

Yippy skippy yahoo!!! So, some of you know that I have a driving service, that's how I make money for well...life. So, today it so happens I was driving a lady from Rossmoor, and she was going to need some assistance with shopping. We got super duper taken care of, first Arlie helped us with the nitty gritty, and then he handed us off to Zach. Zach is the man!!!! He was so helpful, kind, and patient, he was pushing the women in the wheelchair while I was pushing the shopping basket. Avoid the obvious, he knows where the item's in the store are, so that was extremely helpful to. While driving back the lady had mentioned, should I have tipped him? I explained to her that businesses like that usually don't allow empolyees to accept tips, I'm just not sure about the rules for Costco. Zach, thanks for being a superstar, and providing excellent customer service, I'm yet to be a member of Costco. I used to love this Danville location so much for its location and availability of goods I can't find at other Costcos. Now the parking lot is ridiculously crowded (because it shares the lot with the Marshalls?) and I can't get my favorite stuff here anymore because it's always out of stock for some reason. You yelp people ruined it for me. ;P Yes, I do love Costco for some things but what I've discovered over the years is that: 1. Unless you have a family of four or more to feed and can't go shopping more than once a month, you'd better at least have room at your house to keep all that stuff. 2. You're not saving a whole lot of dough. I find better prices at Safeway for goodness sake. 3. I end up buying something weirdly frivolous at Costco and console myself by saying it was cheaper there than anywhere else. Um, I guess I didn't need a CASE of Pellegrino.... Oh Costco, the only thing cool about you is your return policy and even that isn't as great as it used to be. Makes me sad. I'll still go to get toilet paper though. ;) read more

Soooo much better than the San Leandro Costco. I'm never going back to that one again! For one thing, it is less of a zoo. The shoppers here don't act as if the samples are their only meal of the day and crowd around the displays like a herd of cattle, blocking the aisles so that no one can get through. Besides the standard Costco fare, they also have additional items not found at other Costco locations. The fresh sushi party platter from Ozumo is da bomb! They also have a wide selection of live indoor and outdoor plants. Shopping here is less of a traumatic experience and actually somewhat pleasant! read more

This is a weird Costco because the address says it is in Danville, but the area surrounding it is actually San Ramon. This location happens to be two blocks from my church, which is in San Ramon. Because of its proximity, I have easy access to come here after services if I need to pick up a few things. The parking lot and warehouse is smaller then other locations, but you can find most of your basics here. read more

This is my favorite Costco in the east bay. The staff manages to maintain a friendly helpful demeanor even when the store is slammed. Costco has greatly expanded their organic section and it is simply the best offering available. Their buyers have done an amazing job of selecting tasty, healthy, and interesting brands. I complete 90% of my shopping here. The only thing they're missing is GT's Kumbucha. Highly recommend this place. read more

Never TRUST on these people!!! I ordered a cake for my husband's birthday a week before of his special date. As usual, I filled up the form with my CONTACT information and pick up date. Two days before the pick up date, I called to ask if they can change the existing date to an earlier day thinking that it would have been better to have the cake secured in my fridge. The person who took my call put me on hold for about 20 minutes, making me think that she went to talk with the bakery people to adjust the pick up date. When I arrived on the pick up date, I found out that the cake was not made at all because of the virus going on. What??? Why they didn't tell me or call me to let me know? I would have saved the trip, distress, and the time to find the cake somewhere else. Instead, the jerks of the bakery department, who seemed they didn't care, they offered me to buy the cheese cakes they had on the racks outside the bakery. Actually, left over cheese cakes, they really wanted to get rid of it. These are not birthday cakes! There is no words to describe how I felt, sad, confused, what to do now? ... I understand the sanitary emergency, but why they didn't bother to call me? Safeway or other chain stores, where I don't have to pay a annual membership, it would have been more decent and sensitive by calling me to notify me. For me, Costco is not the store that it used to be from ten years to now. This wholesale stores are downhill to a total disaster. When I go to this specific store in Danville, and ask for something to an associate, they barely answer with an extremely bad attitude and bitterness, like answering customer's questions are not part of his job. This year will be my last as a Costco member. read more

The absolutely BEST Costco around unless you can't stand screaming kids... they always seem to tag along with their moms during lunch time. So, anyway, the lines are short, product selection is good, flowers are gorgeous; sometimes I even buy a bunch to spruce up the office, and when you need to pick up an office cake, order from Costco for a delicious treat. Of course, parking is ridiculous and customers aren't the friendliest, actually rather snooty at times, but I can forgive all that for a great deal on my favorite bubbly! read more

While Costco in general is deserving of five stars, this one is a disaster. Tons of empty pallets on the floor, empty boxes on the shelves and a complete lack of items that are carried at other stores. The worst part is the food court. Absolute amateur hour there. At every other Costco I can order pizza from the register and I have it in hand within a few minutes. At this one I order at the register, go to the pick up area, get told that it'll be about 20 minutes, people come in and order after me, get their pizzas and go, I ask why I can't have mine since people that ordered after me have gotten theirs already, get told that they're pumping them out as fast as they can (even though I've just watched no less than four food court workers wander around and do nothing for 10 minutes with an empty oven and no one assembling the pizzas in the back), and finally get my pizzas after I have to get angry, nearly 40 minutes later. I've even had workers just kind of wander away in mid-sentence while asking them a question! Today found me waiting for a good fifteen minutes before they finally told us that they ran out of dough (?!). In the time that the pizza guys just kind of wandered around during today's visit, they literally just watched several pizzas burn in the oven. They finally pulled their heads out and started pulling the severely blackened, over-cooked disasters out. Most of them were blatantly inedible. The fact that they shoveled them into boxes and gave them to customers anyway tells me that my days coming to this Costco are over. read more

Just wanted to say this was the worst Costco I have ever been too. It took me 20 min to find a Costco employee to ask where certain items were located. Where are the employees?? It was a Sunday so they should be properly staffed to accommodate the busier weekend crowd. When I finally saw a Costco employee, she said she was on break and couldn't answer my question. WTH??!! All she had to do was tell me aisle number. If they weren't so short staffed, I wouldn't have had to bother her. I explained that to her but she didn't care. Been goin here since i moved to danville at age 4(it was price club then) and have been goin ever since. Food court is awesome here because it is indoors, unlike the ones in southern california. I only give it four stars because this old lady that hands out samples has been mean to me ever since i was a little kid and is still mean to this day. read more

I've been going here since I was a kid - it's like a second home to me. My parents still come every Friday and it's become a sacred tradition. We are a true Costco family. I love it so much, it hurts. Free samples, Kirkland Signature products, Hot Dog + Drink for $1.50, bulk items for cheap prices...Costco is the happiest place on Earth. That's right Disneyland, YOU HAVE BEEN BEATEN. I love how I can spot which of my friends belong to a Costco-oriented family by simply looking at their socks: we all have ones with the golden tip. read more

This store might be smaller than the Concord location, but there are items at this store that the Concord location may no longer carry. Like the Concord location, the store gets crowded, but the prices on many items you can't beat. Workers are friendly and polite, and have been very helpful during check out and at the customer service counter. I appreciate the helpfulness of the staff here, and I generally find things here I need. read more
