Big corporations store that needs to teach its employees some manners. Got to the cashier and had the unfortunate pleasure to have Maryann F, ring me out. Forgot my membership card so I had a temporary paper. She grabbed the paper out of my hands and took a deep sigh and said," Oookaaaayyyy" seemed like she was annoyed that I didn't have my membership card. Smile for one thing and two, say hello. She kept rushing through everything she rung up. And came across an item and said ," we don't sell this butter like this we sell it in a two pack. Why do you have one? " Instead of asking me if I wanted to grab a proper pack she just said I couldn't buy it. It's not my fault that I pulled one tub of butter out of the fridge. Then when it was all said and done and I had to pay, she just told me my total and started to move on to the next costumer. I ended up using a master card not knowing that Costco doesn't except it. The payment was not authorized and she started catching an attitude with me cause I wouldn't move fast enough for her ? Yelled at me cause I made a mistake that could have been avoided if she would have taken her time to ask me how I would like to pay, cash or visa debit. But no she just wanted me out of the way. I could not have been more embarrassed with the way she spoke to me. What a miserable women! read more

Costco chicken, O how love thee! It's a little lame to profess my love for a warehouse club, but it's all good! A decade ago, I signed up for a Gold Costco account at the Marlboro Costco because of this marvelous chicken and how cheap it was. At the time my wife and I were living on a strict budget and calculated out that buying the chicken, milk, eggs, bottled water, and certain other non perishable items in bulk was a good value. You really have to do your homework. Sometimes, it's cheaper to go to the supermarket and take advantage of sales with clipped coupons. Over the years, we have found out that Costco has many other great perks. We upgraded to the Executive membership ($120) from the basic($60) and it gives you 2% cash back check at the end of the year. You basically have to spend $3000 more per year at Costco to get your money's worth with the Executive membership. That seems like a lot, but I've found that you can save at costco on many household things online or at the warehouse, such as travel, carpets, blinds, car tires, home owner insurance, etc. A lot of times, Costco really is competitively priced compared to other vendors. You know what I also love? The gas prices are the best in the area! I also double dip in the gas savings with the Costco Visa card which gives you an extra 4% off at the pump for the first $3000. The credit card also gives 3% at restaurants, which is perfect for foodies! It's an extra 2% at Costco and Costco.com. This is on top of the Executive membership 2% rebate. The membership really pays for itself! This Costco warehouse is awesome. The employees are nice and there's tons of carts handing out samples, which I recommend you try them before you buy in bulk, otherwise you'll have wasted your money. Most of the merchandise are neatly arranged and prices obvious. On the weekends it gets fairly busy but the lines move quick. The best thing about Costco is their return policy. Most items can be returned with without a receipt of the unsatisfied no questions asked. Electronics has a shorter return periods of 90 days. I've returned items without receipt and they just search your account purchases on their computer. The only thing I don't like about this store it's there are no alcoholic beverages sold here. That's ok. I've found that their prices for alcohol are not much different than at the liquor store. Of the different warehouses, BJ's, Sam's Club, and Costco, Costco is the best! As for the chicken, my kids love it! We can get at least 4 meals out of this large, juicy chicken, for $6! It's really been a time and money saver for my family. read more

My wife was planning our daughter's first birthday and was going nuts as all mothers' do trying to gather all the items. We had already walked around the whole store looking for outside mats to place under the bouncing castle and couldn't find them anywhere. At the register, she decided to go over to the customer service desk as a last try. Shannon looked up and went with her to find them. After walking around about 3 times, Shannon suggested using the tarp, which made so much more sense but overall made my wife so happy. It's hard not to love (or at least truly appreciate) Costco. This location tends to get a bit crowded - especially on the weekends - but food is always fresh and well stocked. Outside of Restaurant Depot, it's really the best place to go for quality meats and and seafood in bulk. I also love their prepared chicken salad and chicken noodle soup they feature during the fall/winter. Perfect place to stock up if you're entertaining or hosting a party. My sister and I recently got some lamb sirloin and fresh shrimp from here that were to die for. Quality was so good we barely seasoned them! If you're looking for good value don't be afraid to buy Kirkland brand items too - they're actually the best! You'll never be disappointed with quality here. Excellent gas prices and remember in NJ you do not have to be a club member to get gas. Worth the wait if you are filling up. This is a great location and you won't find better greeters at the door. They do not sell alcohol at this location. You'll have to go to Edison. Note to self: if you see a seasonal item but if because it won't be there if you go back later. The 4/5 stars is because there are times when you are waiting on line and there are cashiers they should have open to help reduce the traffic. read more

This is a great Costco. I am always pleased with the wide selections of items. Their dinner meals are always fresh and very good. If you like stuffed peppers their version in the prepared foods section is the best! I only buy pork chops from this store because they taste the best and also the best price. All fresh meats are cheaper per pound then the grocery stores so I portion it out and out it in my freezer. You can't beat a 1.50 lunch of a hot dog and soda. They have many toppings for the hot dogs out and a selection of fountain soda. If you want sour krout you have to ask at the register and they will give it to you at no extra charge. The pizza is very good and tastes freshly made not frozen. Their crust is my favorite. read more

They lots of organic foods, which we love as a family! Costco Thick Cut Bacon is the best bacon we've ever had. It's incredible! The organic milk is awesome as well. The milk lasts way longer. The only problem is that they're sold in 3 packs, so you need the fridge space. The prepared meals have never failed me, when we've needed something in a pinch! What can I possibly say about Costco? This place is a mecca. It's wonderful. The torta rolls make me weak in the knees and I'm a sucker for samples. Staff is really nice and they will HUSTLE to get you in and out (which I appreciate when shopping with a howling toddler). I love this Costco. Its very well maintained and has better product inventory and variety than other nearby Costcos. Staff is very helpful and has plenty of organic selection options. Their Gas is somewhat priced higher than that of Edison Costco. Edison Costco is too crowded and filled too unruly people who are always in a hurry and hence I prefer this Costco. Its a one stop shopping place that I love. Peak hours should be avoided in any Costco. That goes without saying. Great thing about all Costcos at least in NJ is that they don't need your membership to fill the gas and all you need is a Visa card, which used to be Amex just a few years ago. I just purchased premium fuel for a fill up at the Costco on Rt. 9 in Marlboro, NJ. The attendant was not wearing a mask but had it dangling from his fingers. I didn't ask him to put it on as I was afraid of a confrontation. He took care of the car in front of me without the mask, too. When I saw that he wasn't going to put it on, I put mine on to protect myself as I am in high risk if I contract this virus. I am voicing my complaint also to the store manager as with this pandemic dealing with someone that deals with many people in a day at a gas station this is not a healthy situation for the gasoline customers. read more

This place is either a great experience or a not-so -great one. I have to give them credit, they were great during the height of the pandemic and I love how they clean all of their carts. Always keep things well stocked. They also offer great specials and deals weekly. Their produce is pretty good too. And the lines both at the gas station and in store move quickly. However, customer service both in the store and at the gas station can be quite brusque and unfriendly. There's been several occasions where we've been talked down to by the staff, downright yelled at, to the point where we almost called corporate, and I'm not that type of person. Gas attendants are pretty efficient, I will say that, but they are not at all the nicest or friendliest. Whatever, at the prices they charge for gas you just have to grin and bear it. Never had a problem until today when I waited in the entire line all the way back to the freezers which is anticipated before July 4th. However I had 3 items in my cart trying to make a quick payment, headed towards the Self Check Out, and the workers kept pushing my cart forcing me to pay at the regular register between customers who had 30+ items saying that I'm in a wrong lane. Even though I waited the entire time patiently. There was no "right lane" directory all the way in the back, no human or any signs. I feel violated, thinking where the common sense has gone since I would've literally taken 3 seconds to get out in the over populated store that day. My cart was physically and rudely pushed around several times instead. They only made the whole process slower and disgusted a customer and everyone around who thought this was ridiculous! Is this what I pay $120 membership a year for?! I'm European and when they heard my accent it appeared they were strictly unsympathetic! read more

This pharmacy is horrible. Firstly, they are closed on Sundays! They don't open until 10am and close at 7pm unlike other pharmacies which are open from 8am til 9pm, 7 days a week. Secondly, I have on at least 2 occasions had a prescription called in and they first claimed they didn't get it, therefore didn't fill it. Each time I had to call my doctor, who proved they DID get it, only to have them say they needed to order it and delay the refill ANOTHER 1-2 days, in addition to the lost time because they didn't see the request when it came in. As a result of these breakdowns in communication, they have twice put me in the position of having to scramble at the last minute to get my prescription, even though I never wait until the last minute to request refills, as a week of time had been wasted with these delays and multiple calls around their hours and my doctor's help to expedite the refill. Each time my doctor eventually had to help me find another pharmacy to fill my rx at the last minute. read more

I have been a Costco member for over 15 years, and usually shop at the warehouse located in Edison, NJ, but as I was in the Old Bridge, NJ area this afternoon, I decided to kill two birds with one stone and get my groceries at this Costco. The products that are sold at Costco are excellent quality, the prices are very reasonable, and the Customer Sevice is great as well. However, the layout of this warehouse is very different from the layout at Edison, and it is very confusing. I was not able to locate the fabric softener, they do not sell liquor, beer, or wine at this particular location, they were out of stock of salt, and did not carry Caribe cheese. In my humble opinion, sometimes, it is best to stick to what you know, but the lack of the products that I can find with ease at my "regular" store doesn't give me any incentive to want to return to this one. I have had the pleasure of visiting The Costco in Marlboro several times with my good friend Roy. He loves eating snacks at night before he lays his head on his soft billowy pillow. That is not a misspelling billowy is a word I learned from the movie Rocky Dennis. I am usually in charge of pushing the cart through the vast and wonderous aisles of Costco while Roy fills our buggy with goodies. I was originally baited into going by being told we are going out to eat lunch. When I ask, what type of food does this place have, the response is they have everything. They have steak, hamburgers, pizza, seafood and a bunch of other things. I was so excited to go to this diverse and accommodating place to eat. When I arrived at Costco I was offered sample after sample of a multitude of different types of food. I had Italian, Asian, American and the only other kind of category my mind could come up Frozen Food. Costco was the first to introduce me to the virtually limitless in variety class of food. I questioned the quality of education I received growing up due to the absence of the frozen food category in my humble teachings. The frozen food category is full of vibrantly colored boxes with joyful pictures on them. The only memories that I actually have of this cryo treated food group is what I saw in commercials following my GI Joe cartoons. From a very early age I was imprinted by these health minded companies to trust only one person which still to this day has remained. Once I was watching this movie from the eighties called Scarface. In the movie the main character named Tony, who was quite the ladies man I might add, said do you know who I trust? I then in response to this question yelled out in my pubescent voice, The Gordons Fisherman! Mom I know this one! You must trust The Gordons Fisherman! It all started to come together. The food pyramid was missing a major food group frozen food. On completion of our snack mission Roy asked me if I enjoyed lunch. I said I was still a little hungry so he said well lets go to this place that has the best hotdogs. After checking out at the register we didn't have to travel very far we took a few steps and I was treated to a delicious hotdog at the Costco Food Court that was only a dollar. We sat down at the shinny red fiberglass eating tables, which Costco graciously provides to their patrons, and talked about how much fun we had. read more

Costco is awesome. This location is large and has a gas station with low gas prices. As a result, lines literally spill out onto Rt. 9 during busy times, making it difficult to pull into the parking lot. Service could use some improvement; sometimes there's only one or two guys managing all the pumps (I think there's 12 pumps). Worth the wait for cheap gas though. Parking is also often hard to find. The store is very large and clean. Good selection. The served food section is good and cheap. You wouldn't think it tastes good, but it's actually not bad. I like the pizza and the hot dogs. The people offering samples are usually friendly and informative. Because the place is so huge, it's hard to find things if you're not familiar with the store, but just ask someone and they can point you in the right direction. Prices are great, as always. Generic Kirkland brand is actually really good for most things (not makeup, though). Gotta love Costco! read more
