Costco Tire Center did an outstanding job with my install. I brought in my 2023 Kia Forte GT2 to replace the OEM OmniMax tires with real performance tires, and the difference is night and day. Costco gave me the best price, mounted everything on my TSP rims perfectly, and set the PSI exactly right. The techs used the correct torque on every lug and even installed my Galaxy Locks for me. Total wait time was about 30-60 minutes for all four tires. They also bagged my old tires so I could take them home. The employees were professional, helpful, and told me to come back anytime for rotations, balancing, or air checks. Excellent service from start to finish. read more

I've been a loyal Costco customer for years, but my recent experience at the Cypress Tire Center has left me extremely disappointed. About a year ago, I purchased four new tires, and one of them recently started leaking air. I took it to the tire center for a repair that should have been covered by my tire purchase. I dropped my car off at 9:30 AM and expected some wait time, but I was surprised to receive a call at 7 PM to pick it up. I understand they may have been busy, but that's a long day to wait for a simple tire repair. Fast forward two weeks, and my tire started leaking air again. This time, I made an appointment hoping for a quicker resolution. To their credit, I received a call within an hour that my car was ready. However, just two days later, the tire was leaking again. At this point, I can't shake the feeling that they never really fixed the issue in the first place. I'm frustrated that Costco offers free tire repairs if they can't follow through with the service. Now, I'll have to take my car elsewhere and pay out of pocket, which is disappointing considering I would have happily paid Costco for reliable service. Not recommending Costco Tire Shop if you have newer or sports cars, especially in city of Cypress California. Lack of Pride of Workmanship, Lack of thoroughness, including Tire-shop floor-managers. My 2011 370Z is in mint condition with only 14,000 miles on the vehicle, had new spec-tires ordered & installed by Costco. Even with special request, they failed to keep the existing Z-emblem caps and failed to reset the TPM sensor which I didn't know until error popped up 2 weeks later. I brought the vehicle to a Professional Tireshop in the city of Costa Mesa and discovered the root cause within 6 minutes of troubleshooting. I should have brought the $25 bill to Costco Tire-shop in city of Cypress for reimbursement ...but the whole experience I originally dealt with this Cypress Costco Tire shop store, it is not worth my time and gasoline to get my $25 extra expense back...Costco Tire-shop has lost its niche - customers relationship, professionalism, and value (cost of tires and installation fee were same as other chain tire-shops). It is no longer a "one stop shop" place I once called it for us. read more

I have an SUV that was a hand-me-down from my mother after she upgraded to a brand new Lexus. Brought this SUV in for a tire rotation and to have one of the tire pressure sensors checked out and possibly replaced (the yellow "!" light went on). I had paperwork showing the tires were bought from Costco in 2014 when my mother owned it, with a warranty of 90k miles. The clerk informed me that the warranty is not transferable but they will do a rotation and check/replace any tire pressure sensors if need be (in which case they'll charged me for it). I was cool with that, so I went ahead and left them the keys. This was on a weekday morning 10:10am. Five and a half hours later I finally I got the call back. According to them my tires were too old and had some wear, so they wouldn't do the rotation or a sensor check. The only thing they would do is install new tires if I buy a new set. I declined and took my car back, with nothing done to it. Part of me understands when company policy instructs workers to try to upsell customers to a new tire purchase rather than doing maintenance under certain circumstances. Increase the revenue when the opportunity arises...I get that. And going in I was aware of that chance of them denying my requested service since I wasn't the original buyer. What I did take issue with is that it took them FIVE & A HALF HOURS before they ruled on not doing any of the service in their work order. Granted this place gets very busy and when I arrived at opening I was already sixth in line. However would it have been too much for an employee to do a brief visual check of the vehicle's tires right after check-in, just to make sure it was suitable for the actual service later in the day??? This I'm guessing takes probably five minutes, no longer than a typical bathroom break, and likely wouldn't disrupt their current work rhythm much. They could've done this and notified me within the hour and I would have no problem with their decision whatsoever. As an aside it also sucks when tires that specifies 90k mile warranty only last a fraction of that amount. Between my mother and I this SUV experiences very minimal usage. Those tires didn't see more than 26k miles before being turned away for its age and "wear". This is more of a criticism of the tire manufacturer Michelin than Costco. Needless to say this was a bit of a letdown. Eventually I'll have to buy new tires for this SUV in the long term (whether this is an immediate need, or if I can get thousands more miles out of the current set remains to be seen...I'll definitely get a second opinion on that). And when that happens I'll definitely shop around. Unlike most of products that I buy from Costco they are not a sure lock on this category. From a consumer standpoint Tires are a headache! I wish the day would come where we'll finally have hovercrafts or Star Wars-esque Land Speeders. That would rock. read more

NEW HOURS - SEE PICTURE!! I guess the picture on Yelp was old because when I got there at 9AM on Sunday they were still closed. I got breakfast and came back around 9:45AM and there was already a line forming outside. They opened the doors a little early and led us inside to wait. I got my tires here and one of them kept running low on air every two weeks so I eventually called to see what could be done. The employee answering the phone advised that my tires were still covered by the warranty so I could either schedule an appointment on a weekday or come in as a walk in but said they had around 20 cars to work on at that time.. on a week day! I decided to go before they opened on the weekend to avoid a long wait. Since I got there early, my car was ready after a little more than an hour. Turns out I had a nail in one wheel and they patched it up for me. read more

Called today on a Wednesday because my tire pressure light was on, they were able to squeeze me in same day! I dropped my car with off with Ike and picked my car an hour later. He and Eddie were thorough explaining to me what they did and what the issues were. They cover your car seat with plastic and the floors with paper so don't worry about sanitation or dirt. While you wait just shop or get a snack, there is seating all over the property to hang out and wait and eat despite them removing the picnic tables they usually have. Eddie also helped me two weeks ago with finding a Costco location that had the tires I needed. Overall good experience, the office is through the doors on the right, past returns and before the optometrists next to the check out stands, it is not on the outside like some other location. read more

I love Costco business and also tire center but I don't like the Costco tire center in Cypress. Wait, wait and wait ... so long! I visited the store right after it's opened for a tire repair. It took me more than 4 hours to get it repaired! I have to take a half day off of my work! This was the third time! The reason that I had to come back here because the warranty policy. Now I have to think about this: for the warranty policy, I saved $15 but I lost a half day work! It's not worth! If just having a flat tire, i would not recommend you guys to bring your car to fix it at the Costco tire center in Cypress. You will have to wait at least 2 (if you lucky)-4 hours to get it done. My lesson learned: I'd rather pay $15-20 for a tire repair somewhere else (of course done in 1 hour max) than saving a few bucks but wasting my half day of work if I bring my car for a repair at Costco Tire Center in Cypress, CA! read more

I visited this location in the afternoon of February 25, 2022. My mom & I and two young kids were leaving Knotts Berry Farm and heading home to San Diego and had gotten a nail in my tire. Luckily we were in a parking lot. I called this location and talked to Ike and the manager Steven, seeing if I could get my tire patched. They were able to get me in, this location is super busy! I got a tow truck to fill my tire and barely made it to Costco Tire Center with no damage to my tire or rim. My tire was hissing and almost flat again. These guys were able to patch the tire!!! I don't think he deserves to work in Costco especially because I believe lot of families lot of old people come here and Costco carries its reputation to help people and be courteous. However, there was wheel damage after installation and after 4 months of speaking with both Costco and Costco Tire management at this location, the issue has yet to be resolved. I'm currently in limbo between Costco and their liability/insurance company and it seems unlikely that I'll be compensated for the damage that was caused during tire installation. read more

After getting a great deal on tires, I needed to find a place that would mount and balance them. After calling a couple of shops, I decided to call Costco Tire Center to see if they would do it for me. Luckily they do! At a very competitive price as well. It's $15 to mount and balance each tire. Definitely a steal since shops now charge more than that. I came on a Tuesday at 6:15pm and got a call at 7pm that my car was finished. I was surprised since the guy estimated an hour and a half wait time. I will definitely return to mount and balance my tires in the future. I can see lines getting long on the weekend and would recommend coming on a weekday or first thing on the weekend. read more

My 2019 Tesla Model 3 Performance had flat tire on the rear driver's side. I bought the tire online at Costco.com. Appointments were booked for two weeks at this tire center. However, Johnathan and the rest of the professional staff there got my car's tire fixed in a timely manner when I brought it in at 10:00 am. Best of all, they save me $300.00 by repairing the flat instead of replacing the tire. Outstanding work. I highly recommend other Tesla owners (and other car owners) to bring cars here to get their tires replaced/ repaired. read more

I drive a Mercedes and the dealership told me I needed back tires, and since they were run flats, it could cost me about $570! I shopped around only to find most places don't even carry run flats and Pepboys told me to try Costco. I called Costco and they told me I had to order them online. They arrived at Costco in 2 days and I went in to get them installed. Side Note: you don't need an appt to get them installed, but you'll probably have to wait a while if you do a walk in. I waited about 2 hours. Costco called me and told me I ordered the wrong tires. My car doesn't have run flats on them, just standard! After that whole time of stressing over finding run flats per the dealership, ugh! Luckily they had my size available in the store! So they put those on for me and refunded the rest of the cost. I definitely trust the Costco tire shop because they could have ripped me off like most car places would, but they didn't! :)) I definitely recommend them! $15 instillation per tire and that includes any future rotation and filling it with air. That cost is included in the tire price when you buy tires at Costco. read more

Disappointed with my recent visit today. Long time Costco Member. Purchased at least 2 sets of tires for 2 vehicles over the last 10 years from Costco Cypress. So today, I called at 3pm because I had a screw in my tire. They said they'd make an exception to repair today and my wait time would be about an hour. I showed up 3:45pm and they didn't want to take me then said they would but it wouldn't be ready until 8pm because I didn't have an appointment. How do you predict flat repair? My last visit for tire rotation was also horrible, regardless of an appointment, you have to wait at least 3-4 hours. You have no leverage here because you're at their mercy and they know this so they act like jerks at the counter. I will no longer be purchasing tires from Costco. Their appointments are weeks, if not months out. Back to the mom & pop tire shops because they treat you better and appreciate your business. read more

Note: if you're here before warehouse hours, you enter through the emergency exit (next to the car bays). As of this review, I've been here twice. Once during peak hours, once during a slow Monday morning. On my last visit I came to replace two tires. Devon helped me and he was absolutely helpful. He didn't just spit esoteric terms to me, as some technicians are wont to do; he gave me information that was useful and if I didn't understand something, he was able to explain it in an easy-to-understand way. He gave me viable options, helped me through different scenarios, and we ended up concluding that I didn't need new tires yet. Instead I went with a tire rotation and balance, and was informed I'd need to get an alignment done when I do decide to get new tires. He estimated that it would take about 30 minutes, and it actually took around 20'ish. After they finished, another technician gave me my keys and reiterated that I'd need an alignment when I do get new tires. After all was said and done, I got what I needed and left with useful information. FYI: this store only carries Michelin and Bridgestone tires. So if you got something else, double-check with them to compare similarities. Also, before you come here looking for batteries you might want to call - they're not guaranteed to have your battery in stock. read more

One of my favorite things on this planet is COSTCO TIRE CENTER. Why you ask? Well, it happened again, tonight. I found myself pumping gas at the Costco gas station when my tire goes flat. Like 0 PSI flat. This happened the summer before last year. Who knew thunder could strike twice?? There I was, stranded at Costco again with my dog on my lap, 10% battery on my phone, and another flat tire. This time though, it was 7pm in December, dark out, and the Costco was probably getting ready to close. Furthermore, the tire center seemed to offer appointments now, according to this sign, perhaps due to the holiday season... and boy, were they busy! This customer even told me to "forget about it," when I joined in line. He said he had been sitting there for almost 2 hours and had yet to be serviced. WELLLLLLL, how dare I doubt them, because when I brought up the situation to one of the guys who helped me last year (I forgot his name! Ike?), they told me they would certainly accommodate me and get the tire fixed tonight. I left them my keys and bought a $1.50 hotdog with soda. Then in an hour they called me to tell me it was ALL DONE. Like a miracle, they patched up my tire and told me it was on the house. The Costco tire warranty is THE BEST. Seriously, forget State Farm -- Like a good neighbor, COSTCO TIRE CENTER is there! read more

Noted that they couldn't rotate tires because they weren't authorized due to not having the torque specs from Tesla. Not a real reason since all the model 3s were in their system, and the car lists specs in the user manual within car. Had a flat tire yesterday and went to Costco to fix. They said the sensor was broke. Changed sensor and rhis afternoon same tire was flat. They sent tow truck to pick up my truck, but they sent the wrong tow truck. Manager came to house with a jack, took my tire and when he came back, he had my money from yesterday sensor charge and put a new tire on for me. What a customer service. Just got 4 new tires on my vehicle. Went in early (715am) on a Saturday and the lines was already long. Devin was super helpful; went out to check what kind of tires I needed. Said it would be about an hour and a half to 2 hours to get it done. Went to get coffee and a bite to eat and by the time I was finished I got a phone call saying the were done and it only took about an hour. That's what I call service. As much as I love Costco Cypress, experiences at the Tire Center have been awful. Difficult to get appointments. Long waits with appointments. Typical instructions to drop off car and pick up a few hours later. This time I had early treadwear issues and the service "manager" said I needed to show proof I had the tires rotated every 5000 miles. Where the hell does it say that? No Where. And who rotates every 5000 miles when they make it such a pain in the ass with very long wait times to have that service completed? What a farce. And communicating with them is not like communicating with the rest of Cypress costco warehouse personnel. Totally sucks - Customer LAST approach. They need revamped training. They will make every excuse to not honor warranties. read more

I've been shopping at Costco for several decades. Every time, I take my car in for services, I have to wait for a long line even if I made appointment. It does not make sense. If they want to do this, I don't know why they want me to make an appointment. Plus, the overall price is not cheap compared to other tire shops. There are so many good tires shops near here. Had a nail in a tire and a bulge coming out of the sidewall of the same tire. I has purchased my tires there and they were still under warranty. Only problem was I had directional tires. So they replaced the ones that needed replacement. I can't say enough about their customer service, it was excellent! I had to leave my car there overnight, but everything was taken care of within 24 hours and the price was very nice on the pocketbook. Thank you for your service. read more

This review is for the COSTCO Management to read. The tire center has a very tiny/small waiting area. The markings on the floor to safely social distance were only for 1 line. There's 2 counters. Today I was waiting in line for more than 20 minutes; boths windows were busy and there was only 1 line formed by the people in front of me. Markings on the floor shows 1 line only. While waiting, a lady created her own line because she is only picking up her car. When the line open up I went to the other window and she accused me or cutting in the line. I told her there is only 1 line; I told her you created your own line; the markings on the floor clearly shows only 1 line. The worst part is a Manager came because it started to get crowded and he asked everyone to follow the lines but the same lady ask him can I stand here to pick up my car and she told everyone that pick up and those with appointment have to stand in that line. So now there are 2 long lines next to each other where social distancing is not maintained. There is no way you can be 6 feet apart in that small space. If indeed there should be 2 lines, Costco needs to update your markings on the floor. The lady even called me psycho because I told her "I did not cut in line, I followed the markings on the floor where it clearly says there is only one line and I was here way ahead of you. You created your own line." She said the manager told her its ok for her to be in that line. I did not argue further but I felt like I need to say something to this management. Make clear instructions and your signs should not contradict what should be followed. Managers should also think about the safety of your customers and employees first and foremost before making decisions without foreseeing what will be the outcome. By the time I left that area it was too crowded. I asked to speak to the Tire Center Manager but he already left for the day and I spoke to one of the tech and asked him to update their floor signs to make sure people don't get confuse. read more

Came in early in the morning to have my warrantied tire looked at as I saw a nail in the tire. I told the attendant that I just had a rotation and only needed the one tire looked at. After an hour (which I expected to wait) they come and tell me all my tires are fine. NO! There is a nail. Send the guy out and yes there is a nail. I paid my share of the warranty to get a new tire. I have now been here well over two hours and my car is sitting in the bay. I'm not sure if there is a better time to come them first thing on a weekday. They don't seem to take the cars in any logical order. I will not return. read more
