I have to say, these guys are stress free. Sure, you might save a tad bit of money going to Costco, but I've found that the customer service here and the timeliness and ease of having your tires repaired or replaced is far superior to any other tire place in the area. They don't try to upsell you what you don't need, just honest customer service. I appreciate that. We were trying to decide to go with run flats on the GLC300. After a very good discussion with Dylan, we decided to go with the regular tires and saved a bunch of money. He took all the time I wanted to talk about my decision. I won some free oil change cards from a raffle at an event, so I figured I would come and use them. I was actually kinda excited to come here as I know it's a family owned shop and a mainstay of the neighborhood. Saw they were closed on Mondays, so I came in @ around 10am on Tuesday and was asked if I could leave the car overnight. I said that I would be unable to do so, and then was asked if we could schedule a date/time. No worries, sounds good. So we pencil in for that Friday @ 8a. Right on. Friday rolls in, I get there @ 7:55a - doors open @ 8a - all good, yeah! We get the ball rolling and they say they'll get rolling on it right away! Perfect! [they're trying to upsell, totally get it, one of my tires is in a bad way, but I have to pass today - he gives me a quote anyways - still totally cool, it's their job to let me know about issues, honestly, good on them - but I have to pass on this today as that's a steeper price than I can take on at this moment] See the bill for the oil change, it's much more than I usually pay at other places, but it's cool, they seem like a quality place and it takes quality money to keep good techs, plus I have these gift cards - this should bring it back down to what I usually pay - still cool. I head next door to the McD's - 8:17a I see a text that they've checked in the car. Great, I figure an hour or so, no worries. 9:25a I walk back over and see if I'm ready. The younger guy says no, it likely won't be touched until around noon as they're backed up, and when I mention that I thought that's why I made an appointment three days back he says that I should have told him that I needed it before the end of the day. [now I'm sort of irritated as thats why I made an appt for first thing in the day, and it's also their place to ask and set expectation if there are others in front - don't tell me an hour previous that you'll get on it first thing if that isn't the actual plan] I keep cool, say ok, then walk ~2.5 miles back to my home unplanned in flip flops and a button down shirt. See a Cypress PD neighbor on the way home and we laugh and lament at the situation. Get home, get a call from them at around ~10:35a. They're going for the upsell. Brakes are good, but something is making noise, for ~$90 they can check it. I say that I'm going to have to pass today, I know the tire is "tired", and I'll take a look at the brakes later today. They're not worn down, I changed them a few months back, it's likely debris or just brake dust - I'll survive. The man seems irritated, but eventually agrees. Says he's doing me a favor by bumping me up in line, so I really should think about getting these repairs. [ooookkkk, thanks I guess - so glad I booked three days prior to be there at opening to then be shuffled to the back]. ~15 mins later I get a call that my car is ready, the person still sounds annoyed; I say that I'll be there in a bit as I need to change and make the walk back in what's now a bright/hot/sunny day. Got there, the person ringing me out seemed to have changed his tune, apologized for the repeated upsell. I assure him I understand and respect it when it comes to the tire as it -does- need to be replaced, and that is their job - to head things off at the pass. Ultimately I believe they focused on the wrong aspect. I made an appt. first thing in the AM, it's best that if they do not plan to have things done first thing that they state such and set that expectation up front. -- Running a small business is set of pendulous threads - it's not easy, it's a constant set of choices. Do we put the full effort into making our existing customer base as happy as possible, or do we put our focus on new business. How much effort do we put into the upsell, can we scale another tech/bay and keep everyone fed the same. It's a never ending set of decisions, and like anything in life we can't get them all right 100% of the time. While I was there I also saw many great and wholesome customer interactions. Simply put, sometimes things happen. I feel that I need to share my story not so much as a cautionary to others, but as a reminder to everyone reading - from the owners of this establishment to everyone reading. One botched play doesn't mean the franchise is bad, it just means we see where we can clean things up and keep doing our best. I bet that they do great work, and the prices that they set reflect what they believe their techs time and expertise are worth, but never lose focus on what the customers time is worth either. :) read more

I went to Morrison Tire on Valley View to ask if they could install a lift kit on our vehicle. I spoke with Jim, and he told me they specialized in this type of work. He said they had three mechanics who could do the installation and that they had completed the same lift kit on another vehicle just the week before. We dropped off our vehicle, and they kept it for most of the week. Kevin called me every day with updates and said everything was going well. They finished the front installation first, then worked on the rear the next day. On Saturday afternoon, they called and said the vehicle was ready to be picked up. They told us everything looked great with the new lift kit and tires. After we paid and were walking out to the vehicle, they mentioned there was a small noise coming from the front driver side. They told us it was safe to drive over the weekend and that they would contact Van Compass for information on how to adjust it properly. As soon as I drove the vehicle, the noise was very bad, and it did not feel safe to drive. Since my home was only about a mile away, I carefully drove it home and did not use it for the rest of the weekend. Early Tuesday morning, we dropped the vehicle back off so they could fix the issue. Around 8 a.m., I received a call from Jim asking why the vehicle was in their parking lot. I explained that it was unsafe to drive and needed to be repaired. He told me they were not going to do anything about it and claimed they had already done their job. The vehicle sat in their parking lot all day without anyone working on it. Later that afternoon, Jim called again and told me to come pick it up because they would not continue working on it. I told them to leave the keys inside, and I would pick it up after work. We could not safely drive the vehicle because much of the installation had been done incorrectly. My wife filed a dispute with the credit card company, and after that, Jim contacted me demanding payment. I felt like they cared more about the money than the safety of my family. In the end, the credit card company still paid the bill, saying the work had technically been completed, even though many parts of the installation were unsafe and incorrect. Trust the Snake before you trust Morrisons--they're all family, They're nice until they get your money. Afterwards, they have every excuse, blaming Ford, Van Compass, and everyone else for the wrong installation that they did themselves. I bought a car from my friend who had just taken it here to get a new battery and have the alert lights serviced. When we got the car it died while driving it two days after we bought it. It kept doing this. The alert light was back in. I called and told the man who answered the phone that the car had just been serviced there and what the problem was. He said he would charge me to check everything out. I'm like you did this work a week ago!!! Then I took the car to a VW specialist and they told us that the battery that was installed was not installed correctly and that is why the car kept dying. They then fixed all the alert lights. $500 later my cat is running smoothly. Why didn't Morrison take responsibility for the horrible things they did? In all honesty I could have been in a horrible car accident because they did not correctly install the battery !!! read more

Took my BMW in for the brakes. They did a great job and in a timely manner. Everyone here is super nice and very professional. Plus, this has got to be one of the cleanest shops I have been to. They obviously take great pride in there job. After the brake service was completed, the service rep had noticed I had a small nail in one of my tires. He says he would not feel comfortable in letting me leave like that so he brought it back into the service bay to fix it (free of charge). Mind you, this was right before closing and right after they had just mopped the floors. I was very impressed. Then a couple of days later I get a call from them, telling my they accidentally charged me for a part that they didn't need to use. They owed me money. Wait, what? An honest mechanic too? I wouldn't recommend for the Audis especially if you have an engine problem. There are places that are cheaper than this one. For a diagnose of engine problem I paid $160, diagnose wire/washer problem - $80, installing new window wash bottle - $256, diagnose fluid leak - $80, install new engine oil fill cap with fluorescent dye - $55.37. I searched for tire shops near by and saw that Paul E. just gave this place a 5 star review and it's over all average was 5 stars. Read on their website it's a family owned and ran business. Sweet! Unfortunately the tire could not be repaired and the rest of the tires were about 85% worn down so we had to bite the bullet and purchase 4 new tires. This shop specializes in Goodyear so we picked one of the middle of road price range models. We both came in the same car since we figured it would be just a patch job and since they were busy we got a ride home so we could go do other stuff. Within a few hours we got a call saying the job was done and it was ready to go. Now my wife has 4 shiny new tires with that new tire smell. Guess that means we'll be keeping the Rav4 for awhile. They go by first come first serve basis on Sat's (no appointments) and open at 9am, so I arrived at 8:30am and there was already a queue of about 10 people. I was able to drop my car off and leave by 9:20am. Low cost and seems reliable and trustworthy. Their parking lot can get full so when looking for parking, drive to the back and take a right and you should be able to find more there. Their website is up to date and has a lot of info on there. If you want to wait, there's a McDonalds right next door along with a small movie theater a block south. Go one block north and you will find a shopping center that includes a Vons (Starbucks and Panda Express inside), Rite Aid, Wells Fargo bank, Souplantation, and other stores. read more

Getting an oil change when the Ben (Coastline) showed me how bad my tires were and cautioned not to drive on the freeway. Guys up front are very kind, they have fresh pod coffee and will pickup/dropoff (within reasonable distance) so you're not stuck there as wait times are typically very long (always busy.) Let me begin by saying I don't often leave reviews. And secondly, when I started shopping for wheels and tires, I was most likely going to go with Morrison because of their relationship with the Boys and a Girls Club of Cypress. But, I wanted to do my due diligence and shop around just a bit. I went to two other shops prior to visiting Morrison, both long-standing and well-respected. The first answered a few questions in person and was going to call me later in the day with some prices because "it's too involved to do in person since we have other people waiting". The second did the same, but scheduled a phone appointment for the following day at 10am. But since I'm a bit compulsive, I wanted more information sooner, so I drove down to Morrison. Not only was Kevin extremely helpful, but he outlined all the different options and prices to find something that worked the best. I ended up having several phone calls with Kevin about various wheels and prices before finally making a decision. Morrison got the sale, over $1800, and had them installed 48 hours later. And, two weeks after my initial trip to all three stores, I haven't heard a single peep from the other two stores. If you are in the market for tires, wheels, or other auto upgrades or services, do yourself a favor and give Morrison a call or a visit. You won't be let down. read more

I would not recommend Morrison Tire and will not return there again. I had used them since 2004 due to AAA recommending them for a 40 point inspection at that time. Recently (10/7) , one of my tires was punctured by a roofing tack and wanted the tire repaired and the tack saved. The tire had to be replaced, which I agreed to but did not want to buy an additional 3 tires. The tack was not saved as requested and when I went to Costco later to compare pricing, I was told that I was sold the wrong size tire (size is stated on the door panel) which Morrison replaced. Also, I recently 11/7/23 wanted to service the transmission from another shop only to be told when we were reviewing my detailed service record, that I had been scammed by this same company in 2012 for a transmission "flush" . I still have the 2012 invoice from Morrison and was charged for " Flush Transmission System Mercon V" My vehicle does not require a flush as it has a filter and drains per the recent transmission service I had performed by a transmission specialist. read more

I asked him if he was busy he said no he would be able to get it done. I stopped and he told me they were too busy and they needed time. He asked if I wanted to make an appointment.
