These tires/ rims are competitively priced and the value added services are great including the use of nitrogen. Reservations can be done online and when you order tires online you get a notice when they arrive at your Costco location. I was in need of new tires, so I got 5 estimates and did some research. Costco offered the best value. They were nearly $400 cheaper than comparable tires at other local vendor, but road hazard was included. Everyone else wanted $160-$200 extra. So, I went in to chat with the tire guy. He informed me that I was correct, and he would have recommended the same tires I found online. I ordered since no one carries my size in stock. He said 3 -5 days. I received a call less than 24 hours from purchase as they were in. Got an appointment for 3 days later. I showed 15 minutes early for my 1:45 appointment and was told about an hour, but they'd call. They called exactly 30 minutes later to say the car was ready. Wow! Such great service! Everyone we interacted with was friendly and attentive. I will absolutely buy tires from Costco again. We got our tires here 3 months short of 3 years ago and always brought our Subaru in for tire rotation regularly. No problem...until our front drivers side tire started going flat, completely flat shortly after a rotation. We would fill it and it would go flat again after a while so we had them check for a leak and after 4 times of telling us they didn't find one we finally talked to a manager named Adam and he recommended ordering one. So we do that and bring it back in yet again and after waiting an hour we were told that they couldn't install just one and we'd have to replace all 4. That should have been looked into before deciding to replace just the one! So then I talk to another manager named Jack and he told me they would switch the tires and if that doesn't work they would compensate us 4 new ones and if it did work he'd give us a shop card for our time and inconvenience. So we're good with that and after them switching the tires it goes flat again a few days later and now they're saying we have to pay for the 4 tires and Jack said he never told us we wouldn't have to but he'd give a discount on them. What?! So my husband checks the tire and he finds a tear on the tread! Costco couldn't find that after inspecting them 4 times?? So frustrated and will never get tires from them again! read more

Been there twice in a month and both times they made us wait 5+ hours just to say they can't help or do anything with the tire. Simple patch jobs I've got done in an hour or less at other tire spots. They even charged me 15 bucks just to change my tire cause they're not Costco tires. I could've had AAA come to my house and do it for free. Multiple days ruined and no help whatsoever. There is no "walk ins available" on any of their local stores. Even scheduled rotate and balance got told "leave it with us all day and we might get to it" and it was SCHEDULED. Will never, ever buy tires here again. Not worth the time and effort. read more

We stopped by Costco in Sparks & were immediately helped, in short order they had repaired the tire & had us on our way for less than $15.00. Staff only looking to upsell and trick you. Showed up with a flat tire needing a patch or new tire depending on damage. Was told that tire was too damaged and I would need to buy 2 NEW TIRES because the brand of tire I came in with was discontinued and they "couldn't sell me one mismatch tire". All in all took about 20 minutes for them to decide I needed to spend upwards of $200. Went to Rays Tire Exchange and got my original flat tire patched (was actually not too damaged, just a nail hole) and put on for less than Costco charges to just put on a tire! read more

The staff at this tire center are so awesome. My wife, new baby and I needed gas before going back home to California and as the gas was pumping I noticed we needed some air in our tires. I walked over to the tire center garage and asked one of the mechanics if they wouldn't mind filling up my tires with air. They were busy, had several cars they were already working on, but they still were so polite with me and took the time to accommodate us. Great people doing great work. read more

I purchased a set of 4 Michelin Tires with a 65,000 mile rating for $600 and all 4 tires are worn very evenly as I had done my own tire rotations at the recommendation of every 6,000 miles and I only got 24,000 miles out of them and because I don't have hours to wait for a simple tire rotation at Costco and I don't have proof that I did the regular rotations which even tread wear would indicate, the guy won't prorate them.. 24,000 Miles is ridiculous!!! Ordered tires online, they arrived at the store, received an email stating so and made an appointment to have them installed. Appointment time friday at 11 am, we were greeted by a friendly young man. He checked the car in, gave us a time it would be done and guess what... it was done on time. after going the tire dept to check in the price of the tires I was interested in I was told to wait until the first week in Jan. 2014 as I could get a better price. That was nice. So I go in on the 6th of Jan. to make an appointment to get the tires in the ad. However the tires were not available--oh, well. The lady rep told me she could get me an alternate tire and we made an appt. for the 13th of Jan. Now I go in and NO TIRES after being reassured the tires were available. Why would I make an appt. if the tires were not available. The customer service desk people could not have cared less. No reaction. I have lost much respect for Costco customer service. I used to only use Costco for tires because I like Costco. Had bad service today though. Had a screw in my tire and they wouldn't repair it even though it wasn't in sidewall. Said it wasn't repairable but offered no good reason why it wasn't. Also, asked for rotate and balance and they wouldn't do it and wanted to sell me new gites although had plenty of tread still on. read more

I might review it at a higher star but the service I did get was smug and the service I opted out of was ridiculously expensive. I have a 2003 spyder eclypse with custom rims and I've been able to get tired for them for less than $100 each. I went into this location to check out the deals because the added quality control and hazard service seemed like a pretty nice deal. However, when I went in they said they refused to replace only the front two tires and insisted the couldn't replace only the front ones to prevent hydroplaning. Maybe it's a policy they have to make to make sure they have to pay the least out in the quality services they offer with the tires --but to the tune of $700 to replace all the tires, I nearly shit a brick, especially since Walmart offers the same services and the same tires AND doesn't make you buy an entire set for about 1/4 less than that, --which I ultimately did. Part of it was that the rep was also into hard sales which is really annoying because it scares away people more than it secures them, especially with really high priced items. With the advent of the internet, every person going into sales should know that hard sales is bullshit, intimidating and should be avoided like the plague in every industry except loan collecting because it's ineffective. The first time I asked him for the price of /one/ of my tires, he had to give me a diatribe about how superior their services were and that they were offering a $170 coupon for all 4 tires. I had to actually ask him a second time "Yes.... but how much are the tires?" My mother is older and less patient, and she was with me at the time to yell "Holy shit, that's outragious, 4 tires for $870 without a coupon." She is the mafia mom-type, if she has a problem, you WILL know it and you WILL know NOW, and you WILL know it in the most brusque manner. Costco Tire Center in Spark, NV is a very bad, dishonest center. We had very terrible experience with them this Monday morning Dec20, 2010. We drove from San Jose, CA to Reno Friday(Dec18), on Dec 19 late afternoon around 4pm, when we returned to the hotel parking lot and found that one of the tires was flat. We called AAA next early morning and changed the flat tire, then we drove the closest Costco Tire Center. The repair guy said that we had to change the 4 tires since they are all worn out. Those tires are very new, we just had them on last year at San Jose Costco Tire Center!!!! We asked them to just change one tire, he said that he could not just change one based on the "LAW"!!, .... Finally, after negotiating, we still have to install two new wheels otherwise, he won't install and we could not drive back home today. He knew that we came from far away!! Yesterday, I took my car to SanJose Costco Tire Center and asked them to check if I need to change all my tires. They said "No, they are quite new". I paid $250 for the two tires and obviously I paid $125 extra for the one tire that should not be replaced. I will call the center to ask for the reimbursement. I just want to ask all the customers be aware of this CENTER when they deal with them, be very very cautions about what they say and recommend to do. They are ripping off the customers!!! read more
