this store prides itself in customer service, however when i came in 2 weeks ago, i received the WORST service from an employee named mike. my partner and i asked if he could help us and he replied sarcastically, "i don't know, let's SEE IF I CAN." we stood there in disbelief and he replied in an aggressive tone, "GO over to the rugs." we waited for mike as he came over with his go back wine in his arm. he aggressively tore through the box of sheep skin rugs. i told him my partner wanted a specific color, and that the box did not have the color we wanted. he ignored me and completely made a mess of the box as he tried to prove us wrong. i told him we wouldn't have asked for help if it was there. after he noticed that he was in fact wrong and that the color we wanted wasn't in the box. he tossed the box of rugs and cut open the new box. i was shocked by his aggression and apparent irritation and asked for his name. that's when he pulled his name tag to my face and i said, "wow, you must have been here for a long time to think you can talk to customers like this." he replied, "yes a long time, as long as i can remember." i said, "thank you for such outstanding service." mike aggressively remarked, "YEP, outstanding" as he walked away. i immediately notified a supervisor about this terrible experience and she informed me that she would have a talk with him. end of the story, mike shouldn't be talking to anyone in the way that he did. costco is a store that has a very reputable reputation. if mike's years of service with the company makes him think he can get away with disrespecting customers this management needs to revisit their expectations with how customers should be treated. i hope this review makes the management take action and that he corrects his negative and disrespectful behavior. read more

Food Court sucks! Over an hour wait for pizza! The employees can't even do a simple task in calling your order number even after asking multiple times when your order number will be ready! Their response is always "it's in the oven right now, about 10 more minutes!" but really it's not! It's their way of you not asking so many times! It's really frustrating having to wait over an hour just for a pizza when you've preordered it!!! This is for the girl employee with glasses and the bearded guy who handles slicing the pizzas!!! Steer clear from the food court if you're not planning on waiting over an hour for your pizzas!!!!!! read more

I'd expect this from other customers but not from the employees. I was constantly stopping for employees that would jump in front of my cart. Instead of saying "ohh sorry" or "excuse me" they just continue jumping in front of other carts. Great selection in products but this really killed the trip. read more

I had the worst customer service and I will be canceling my membership. The employees here are rude and lazy. It's also ridiculous that they would allow customers to over load carts with toilet paper and water bottles and leave nothing for anyone else. When I asked the employee for toilet paper he told me if I wanted toilet paper I need to come when they open. When I said that was ridiculous he told me no one has toilet paper. That is bs! Most people have jobs and seeing they open so late in the morning they make it pretty impossible. I only have this membership to save on toilet paper and paper towels. If they cared about customers they would put a limit. Winco even has a 4 limit max per item which seems pretty reasonable to me. Had that employee not been so rude to me I probably wouldn't have been so upset. I will not be returning here again. read more

The new Costco maybe bigger but I can't find any of the regular products that they normally carried at the Costco on Ashlan. The food court was not stocked and extremely dirty. Straws were thrown on the counter in a bag. It wouldn't be so gross if they were wrapped but they aren't and every unwashed hands were grabbing straws out of this bag. The soda dispenser was so sticky that I couldn't put my cup down. There was no pickle relish or ketchup for the hot dogs either. When I advised an employee about the deplorable condition of their food court. The reply was, "The members are so dirty". I was hoping for a reply that might say I will let someone know and fix the problem. What happened to customer service and actually caring about a customers complaints. Right after work had to go get couple things for bosses day so me and my coworkers could celebrate the occasion I was so dissapointed how the associate (JESSICA H) treated me Clovis Costco location . I've come to this Costco for some time now since it opened, and I understand that not everyone will B cheery and upbeatt ALL the time . . I definitely don't feel I or any other Costco shopper, that is not being rude or unpleasant themselves, obviously. . . Welp, we shouldn't have to deal with the bad attitude, negative vibes, or as i would say plainly, the asshole-ness (‍ . . . I just call it as I see it ‍) of the employees being paid to work during those times . . . Now, I mean, I don't expect the employees to be my best fkn friends. Yet, I do expect a decent professional attitude, leave whatever B.S. you got going on personally or even employment crap out of the customers experience. . . Mr. Sotero, for example at the self check out, on Wednesday 9/14/22, should really check himself on how he responds to and addresses some of the members. I love this new Costco... the gas station has red and green lights to let you know where there is an empty pump and it still rarely full with a line. Inside it like the other Costcos but a bit roomier. The food court is more open and has self serve ordering kiosks. I love shopping here and getting gas, and it is next to my other favorite, the Grocery Outlet. read more

I am very disappointed in the Costco tire center and the store management. I went to get my tires rotated at Costco where we bought them and was told they are appointment only now but had opening in an hour. That was cool I could shop. The guy went out to make sure the tires were able to be rotated because I told him we had an alignment appointment that afternoon. He came back in and said front tires were getting close but they were able to rotate. I waited an hour and they took my keys and wrote me up and I went shopping. They came to find me and told me my tires were bad and they could not rotate but could put new ones on for either 500 or 700. I told them to go for it and I would wait. 20 minutes later they come find me to tell me that they could not get 15" rim tires anymore and could not help me. I said what there are thousands of cars like mine on the road and they had now waisted 2 hours of my day. Asked to speak to a manager and the person they gave me told me right up front she knew nothing about tires and probably wouldn't understand but she would talk to them later. I left went over to Discount tire in Clovis on Railroad avenue where I have had work done before and had an appointment for an alignment. They told me no problem we could get you tires but your rear tires are fine and didn't needed to be replaced but the fronts were wore on inside and yes I needed new fronts and an alignment. In an hour they had new tires on my car and a 4 wheel alignment and showed me my rear Michelin tires were fine and hardly worn and only had 20K miles on 50K mile rated tires. I called the Costco store to talk to a manager because I felt this was not only wrong but a little illegal try to see me 4 tires when I didn't need all 4 replaced and they can do only 2 at the store. The manager seemed upset that I was bothering him with this frivolous manner and didn't care anything about me being a customer and just blew me off. I did contact the BAR Bureau of Automotive Repair and they didn't blow me off but took my complaint. Shame on your Costco for cheating your customers and not really caring you are. read more

Just bought a membership 5 days ago. Been there 3 different times. All 3 times have been unpleasant for my family and I. The first time the check out people were talking about my wife under their breath laughing. This got us to speak to the manager who said he would address this behavior. The second time my wife waited in the vehicle while I went inside. The workers outside pulling carts were talking to each other and cursing with no regards for the customers. Ignorant behavior. Then today my daughter went to rerun an item that was bad and the customer service woman was rude as hell to her. As my daughter walked out of the store the 2 male workers began disrespecting my daughter with sexual comments and curse words. What the hell kind of place is this that allows their workers to behave in such an inappropriate manner towards their customers? I cancelled my membership on the spot. This place has low life's and ignorant people working there. Even when I cancelled the membership, the manager was called to the counter to cancel. He walked up to the register, typed in his manager code and walked away without saying a word to me. Good riddance. No wonder why the employees are idiots. The manager was the same way. And not the white manager the Hispanic manager. I B am done with this place forever. read more

I understand the importance of social distancing during this very precarious time. That being said I don't appreciate going into a store and being shouted at to maintain my distance by the employees. I don't appreciate being hurried into a specific line while being ordered to maintain my distance just to have that 6 feet barrier violated by that same bossy employee. I understand that these employees are working long hours and are dealing with a lot of people, but they and their employers need to remember we are still customers. COSTCO, along with a select few other stores that other sell items along with groceries, are financially benefiting from this shelter in place mandate. Today when I went in there I was treated as though COSTCO was doing me favor by allowing me into their store. As a customer I should never be treated that way. COSTCO right now you are one of very few places left to shop and while I appreciate your efforts to keep me safe, please remember I am a customer spending a great deal money in your store and for that I'd like to feel respected and valued. read more

They said the pizza would be done in 16 minutes and iv'e been waiting for an hour and i'm still waiting, this is outrageous and very concerning, I could have been able to hop back in line with 60 items 3 times by the time my pizza will be given to me. I'm tired of standing here, my feet hurt and its so crowded in here and there is no where to sit. They just keep taking orders but not making anything, there are 7 workers currently working right now and not one of them has brought forward anyone's order. We asked for our pizza and they said it would almost be done and it has yet to even be made. We are contemplating on leaving and are thinking about not coming to Costco anymore at least not this one in Clovis, I'm sure it was just a slow day but its getting ridiculous, people just want to get their things and go home not wait and wait in an uncomfortable area. The place was also pretty dirty, the seats either had food or trash on them and the floor had a spill and trash under the table's too, no one was refiling the straws or the napkin dispensers they were just completely empty the only thing left was for the ice machine to run out of ice. I have never been more disappointed in a company with so much money that has the power to run a very decent and good business make peoples lives easier and more convenient for them. As Martin Luther King said "I have a dream..." I will also say I have a dream that Costco would use their money and power where its needed and if they could make wise choices when deciding how they are going to run each store, I have a dream that people will be able to enjoy their time at Costco and be able to shop with a smile on their face, I have a dream that we can be told to wait 16 minutes for our pizza and get our pizza in just 16 minutes, no more and no less. read more
