No pictures because there's people, Compared to the other locations of the hustle and bustle this location is very calm in comparison. It's also fairly large, with an amazing parking lot. Gas is also typically a few cents cheaper ( compared to others not all the time but most of the time) I feel like the staff is friendlier here, and because of that they don't really mind if you come back around for samples. read more

I just wanted to thank the wonderful people at this particular Costco. Everybody's very pleasant at the gas station, and also in store, I was having a few issues with my card. I went to a few other Costco's. They could not fix it, Deborah in customer service and her coworker sako were able to fix the issue , amazing customer service.. They even have service for travel, home renovations, attire department, and a Costco auto program. Members only can shop there. The store is very spacious and organized. They have great selections of products, good quality with very reasonable prices. The staff were very nice. There were many employees standing offering free samples throughout the store. We had purchased the television at this location about five years ago. At the time of purchase only received an automatic two year warranty, but because we purchased it on a particular credit card through Costco, they would cover it an additional four years. I kept my receipt and brought it back in today. They no longer warranty the television with the credit card anymore. However, at the time of purchase, they did honor that. After going back and forth a little bit, the manager Paul agreed to return the television, not for cash, but for a gift card. I have no problem with that, I ended up buying the TV there anyways He didn't have to deal with what he did, but he was fair and understood the situation. Costco in San Dimas feels like a small miracle compared to most Costco locations I've visited. It very rarely feels crowded, which is saying a lot for a place where bulk shopping is basically a competitive sport. The aisles are wide, the crowds are manageable, and all the classic Costco finds are right where you expect them to be without having to dodge carts every five seconds. I actually enjoy browsing here instead of mentally preparing for battle. The only real downside is the parking lot, which is a bit oddly laid out and can feel awkward to navigate. Another bad experience with customer service return. Not busy today they had 2 works and only one person in front of me. Two heavy set staff, one walks away looks back at us. Anyway, wanted to get the difference back on a sale item. One staff looked and couldn't find that I bought the item. She was more focus on upselling EXECUTIVE membership while pretending to look up my transaction. Long story short she gaslit me to thinking i never bought or scanned the item. A few minutes later I exited costco and went back to another staff, a Male staff, he found the item right away on the computer. The heavy set female staff overhears out conversation and looks at me like oh darn its in the system. Its a Tuesday 1:35pm. Come on its not even busy. Only have issues with the returns desk at this costco. Everyone is pretty nice and chill. read more

I had a very positive experience--I got a battery for my Honda Accord, and AutoZone was double the price compared to Costco. Michael also gave me tools to replace the battery right then and there. This is literally the Costco from hell. The employees are consistently rude and dismissive. God forbid you have a return because they act like you're ruining their day. I've been there for over 10 years (reluctantly because that's the closest one to me), and even when I was in high school I could tell how they were incredibly rude. The lines are 10x longer and slower than any other Costco, and somehow the parking lot is always a mess, trash and carts going everywhere. The pizza takes forever to come out even if you call the order ahead, the ice cream is always half melted. I've been to other costcos in way worse areas, and this one takes the cake BY FAR. read more

Costco in San Dimas has an indoor food court that I don't see that often in California locations. They have quite a large parking lot as well with other stores surrounding it. I know it's weird but sometimes I like changing up my Costco runs and venturing to other cities just to check them out. I like this one because there is a Yorgutland and also a Habit Burger in the same plaza. They have options for food so if you get hungry afterwards you can stop by at one of the food spots. During different seasons they also carry a lot of interesting products. Such as right now there is a ton of outdoor gear like if you go camping. read more

Cash customers beware! Bring exact change if you are paying cash. My fraudulent receipt shows I was due $2.01 in change yet I received only $2.00. The explanation for the empty penny till and the shortage was that pennies are no longer minted so Costco no longer handles pennies. This despite BILLIONS of pennies remaining in circulation. Lines a little longer then should have been That is my only complaint. And it was not that bad. It's funny the one near my house does not have the strawberry cheese anymore. This one did. But the strawberry topping was not as good as earlier in the season. But, still ok. Place was clean. Staff was very helpful when asked. They were busy. As every Costco is usually. I've been to many Costcos from Alhambra (which is one of the worst) to Irwindale, Chino Hills, Monterey Park, Fontana and several in other states. The San Dimas store I believe to be one of the best even on weekends though I prefer to shop weekdays. When it comes to employees unfortunately there are a few bad ones in every location. Now if you don't agree try Glendora Sam's Club and you'll appreciate coming here. I remember about fourteen years ago when standing on line at the return counter at this location and watching a customer return an eight year old tv and getting a full refund. Also in the news three or four years ago at another Costco hearing that a customer returned a used live Christmas tree after New Year and getting a full refund. I believe people that do things like that just ruin the Costco experience for the rest of us honest shoppers. Because of these people Costco has changed policies and raised prices. She was super patient and kind and answered all of my questions. Tang also went the extra mile by literally drawing diagrams of what the human eye is like and how the lens helps correct certain issues; and which glasses I should get and why. Day before Labor Day, this is where the party's at! Live my Costco though. We know folks who drive from SGV just to get groceries here. Usually the line is only about 3 deep at any checkout stand. It lacks in diversity though so once in a while we go to the other Costco in Irwindale for ethnic foods. But for date nights for this old couple, it's great. We get to walk the entire Costco uncrowded though it is more expensive than a gym membership because we might walk out with over $300 worth of things. read more

My happy place! I lived few blocks from this location I'm here pretty much 2- 3 times a week. People are friendly no one will bump your cart while shopping like other Costco locations lol. Staff are friendly and always willing to help and they know most of the locations of the stuff you need. The place is well maintained isle are clean no clutters and well stocked most of the time. Honestly with the new changes for executive members pushing back normal hours for regular members is dumb as hell. I had an appointment set up for 10 am to have two tires put on my SUV that I had already paid for. I'm early to all appointments, and was trying to walk in, scanned my card, and was denied entry. I had no idea that the new hours were in effect. Okay, so it's 9:45am. Waited until 10am and tried to walk into the tire section when a lady at the front desk rudely asked if I had a return, if not I need to go back around to the other side and scan in. I had already done that... Now remember I had a 10am appointment, tires were already paid for. Please tell me how it's going to take 1.5 hours to install two tires. Unless my appointment means nothing, and again you are catering to executive members. Will be cancelling my membership. Sam's Club right across the street is comparable for my needs and usually cheaper. I've been a member since 2012 and this visit just killed it. Just because I don't want to pay an extra $65 to have the membership, this trip to Costco has been abysmal. read more

It's always clean and organized, but I've noticed that they constantly move things around. It's impossible to just pop in and out because I have to hunt for my usual items. I think they do this intentionally to have customers discover new things to buy. Smart move. They have such great deals because they price them so well, but I wish they kept them in stock always. I'm constantly checking for their Pressed juices - sometimes the flavor I want is there but most of the time it isn't. I love the staff because they're consistently kind to me and my family. She didn't even greet nor acknowledged me and started scanning items without asking us for receipt. When I gave her the receipt, she stated I should have given her the receipt first. How would I know? I'm just taking out the items in the bag and she's started scanning.
