    Hibiscus lemonade

Who ever makes that aioli needs a raise. That was such a delicious breakfast biscuit! I enjoyed how you can just go in order and seat yourself it takes a lot of pressure off waiting to be waited on. They will give you a flag and link you to that so they know where to drop the meal. Drink was nice and wonderfully tart! I'm thinking I need to make a visit again soon the ambiance was great for a coffee date. Quiet enough to talk but loud enough to not feel guilty for laughing.

    our morning meal

The orange scone was softened. My friend compared it to a cafe she goes to on Sundays-vegan scone hard. We met the server who told us the baker is his wife! The soup was delicious and just the right mixture. The eggs scrambled were just right with the side of potatoes. All good. The hibiscus lemonade was tart I think. I do hibiscus. My confusion lay with where was the silverware? I found the water and napkins easily. Two toilets available. I like the open kitchen setup. My friends and I found the ambiance inviting. One friend had a walker and it works to bring it. Thank you.

I love the vibe of this cafe - the owners are newer but they left the travel videos and decor intact, which is greatly appreciated by the locals in my opinion. I also really appreciate how much effort they put into the food that they're making. Delicious soups and really good cookies too! Gluten-free and I'm always able to find something satisfying there to eat. I also really appreciate that the barista and cashiers are super friendly and make that effort to make connection with people that are coming into the café. I highly recommend it as a spot to meet a friend or just hang out. I like to draw in coffee shops and this is definitely a spot that I would want to do that in. Plus, I noticed that they have local art on the walls and I've really feel like that makes a big difference to making a café or coffee shop feel more relaxed and homey.

Long time customer. They're favorable in many areas including service. Love the vegan bar (and I'm not vegan.) The breakfast tacos were subpar, maybe add a sauce. Great vibe, a Portland classic.

stopped by this cafe before a flight back to California. I remember service being friendly, and there was definitely a sort of theme going on with the decoration in this cafe. The food tasted okay (quiche and fruit). This coffee shop reminded me of some older coffee shops back at home - a lot of seating, older furniture, and dimmer/warmer lighting. In any case, I was really glad to have found this cafe before I had to leave Portland - it was a good place to rest and refuel.

Coming in to Costello's there was a great smell inviting you in. It was immediately a nice peaceful break from all the hustle and bustle outside. The team working was fun to engage with and brought a smile to our faces as we ordered our drinks. I had a cold brew and it was delicious! It was the perfect drink for a rare sunny Portland day! Great location, great coffee, great service!

Updated menu ! Place is really good and relaxing.

Ambiance is wonderful and coffee is really good ! There's plenty of table to sit and chat with friends .

Avocado toast for people who don't like avocado toast?
    Robby R.

Hadn't been to Costello's in a number of years. Used to be one of my old spots for tea and get some work done on the laptop. I thought I'd stop by to have a small bite and tea. I ordered the avocado toast (without the eggs). For ~$12, it was underwhelming to say the least. It was two slices of thin sourdough bread with a thin layer of avocado paste. Photo attached to show you what I mean. Honestly, I should have given them some feedback. The ambience is still nice, but doubt this will be back on my recommendation list anytime soon.

Nice neighborhood café with a European vibe. Daily quiche options. Friendly, welcoming staff (makes ya think there's consciousness management...) Plus there's a weekly gathering of the Portland Radical Faeries.

Owner is rude and entitled. Food is not worth the price. Wait for the food was way too long for the amount of people there.

The drinks are that good - I'll risk the fury of a teen, once he looks up and realizes what I'm doing. The drinks are that good. Two days ago, I was getting a new fragrance (shout out Olo!!), and passed Yunomi on my way there. When I was returning to my car, I decided I try one of their drinks. The options were like nothing I'd seen at the other places around town. Foams of black sesame and sea salt?! I decided to really go for it - hojicha with a sea salt foam. There were a lot of people inside. There were several groups that ordered before me. Even with that, it was a short wait. New paragraph to emphasize that when I took my first sip, fireworks!! The hojicha was wonderful, and the sea salt foam! Before my second drink, I was already trying to figure out how to make sure every sip had that sea salt foam in it! That is why I am taking the risk of my son snapping - the flavor of Yunomi's drinks (maybe a matcha this time?) are worth it!!

It's always the places you don't expect/ just stumble upon that charm you the best! I'm not familiar with this area of Portland so I'm glad I lucked out with this charming and moody cafe. I'm sad that I had to get it to go for the expo instead of staying longer, I much prefer darker and moodier/ cozy cafe ambience to the sterile "modern" cafes. This place felt like a warm hug. Especially once I took a sip of that hot 12oz oat milk hazelnut latte! The baristas were all really nice, too, and after I told her I was heading to the expo, she recommended a reptile shop over on division for me to visit sometime. I underestimated the table I sat on, I assumed my binder was going to take up the entire space, but I actually had space for my food, coffee, binder and my laptop. While doing my homework there were other people getting things done along side parents planning their kids spring break. A lot of customers that came in seemed familiar and happy going inside and chatting with the two gals handling the bar. I had come in as a paying customer, sat quietly in the corner reading a book while waiting for my husband. Celia approached me and initiated a conversation, which escalated into her yelling at me and physically removing me from the premises, all while I remained calm throughout. This was corroborated by an independent customer who witnessed the incident and left their own 1-star review the following day. What followed was equally disappointing. I attempted to resolve this privately over the course of nearly six weeks through multiple channels -- their contact form, direct emails to hello@roselinecoffee.com, and direct outreach to ownership on LinkedIn. I received no response and was ultimately blocked without acknowledgment. A ban issued across all locations by a single staff member, stemming from a personal conflict she initiated, that goes unreviewed and unacknowledged by ownership, speaks volumes about the culture at Roseline. I genuinely loved this coffee shop and wanted nothing more than to resolve this privately. That opportunity was never extended to me.
