Yunomi Matcha is serving up one of the best matchas in the PDX area by far. To get here, there is street parking all around the area and a lot of other cool shops to walk around to. Inside, they have a cozy setup with about 3-4 tables for seating. For their menu, they have a nice specialty matcha selection to choose from. Wifey and I opted to try the Spiced Banana Matcha and it was great! All of the staff here are very friendly and welcoming. Definitely add this spot to your list as it is mando for any matcha crawl in PDX.
Overall: 5/5 Drinks: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 4/5 Best matcha spot that I have tried in the Portland area so far- I will go out of my way to get a matcha (or hojicha) from Yunomi, and that's how you know it's good! Their menu selection is small, but each drink is well curated and delicious. Yunomi offers a small work area with 3 tables and a countertop space, but if those tables are taken you are out of luck :(. So far, I have tried their banana hojicha, black sesame hojicha, double matcha, jasmine matcha, and oolong matcha. Of all the drinks, I recommend getting the double matcha- creamy, not too sweet, perfect taste of matcha in one drink. Yes, the cups are small, but for me the quality overrides the size (plus I am a sipper not a chugger so it works out). I'm not sure why Yunomi doesn't have the crowd or the rush as some other matcha places in the PDX area have, but I am not complaining because that means more delicious matcha and good street parking spots for me! Highly recommend visiting Yunomi for a sweet treat if you are in the area!
Tried their house blend Matcha which was slightly roasted. The nutty flavor was nice and novel. It did come in a smaller size than other drinks though. Their Banana Matcha was tasty too. They used house banana syrup which had a lot of caramel flavor. Can't help but feel like the staff was very rushed eventhough the place wasn't busy. Would have appreciated him asking about our sweetness preference. Overall, a decent spot but I won't be rushing back.
High quality matcha | good, simple menu This is probably one of my top 3 favorite matcha places. It's a small gem in Portland that deserves to be highlighted because it's a quality spot. I love their menu. It's just the right amount of flavors and combos for matcha drinks, and they do it well! Simple interior, superior taste. We ordered the strawberry matcha and spiced banana matcha. Both were the default sweetness level. Ceremonial grade matcha and the perfect taste that wasn't too bitter and not too sweet. So smooth and delicious. Next time, I plan to try what the 50% sweetness tastes like out of curiosity. Staff is friendly. Love this place and plan to come back.
This establishment is nestled in between other businesses, but it's easy to find. I arrived close to closing, and it was empty inside. The menu wasn't too big or too small. However, I was deciding between the spiced banana matcha or the jasmine one. However, I went with the spiced banana. It was pretty good, but I wish the banana was smoother in the drink. My matcha was $6.75, which is pretty average these days. Definitely check them out!
Good matcha! Lots of flavor choices/variety. They only have oat milk as an alternative (but I like oat milk the most). I loved my matcha jasmine, it was perfectly sweet and the jasmine foam was nicely floral. My sister got the banana spice which tasted like banana bread in a cup, well worth getting if you like a new spin on banana matcha! Only 2 workers but both were welcoming and kind. Line can get a little long since they have only 2 staff. It's a nice place to yap with friends or study!
We came around 12PM on a Saturday and all the tables were occupied, although there were only about 4 tables inside with some seats at the bar. It took about 5 minutes for our orders. They also had wifi in case you needed a place to study! The decor was minimal but I definitely focused on my order... We ordered the double matcha and the regular matcha. This was one of the best matchas I have had! The flavor/taste of the matcha came throughout the taste and it was very creamy if you like matcha made that way!
Jasmine cream matcha was pretty good. I would highly recommend if you are a fan of matcha. I personally think the matcha here is a lot better than a couple recently hype matcha places. The jasmine cream was pretty flavorful and the drink itself was not overly sweet at all , which is a super plus point for me. Some places make their matcha a little on a sweeter side. My husband also got The Vietnamese coffee to try, and it was just ok. Drinks came out fast and customer service was nice. Store is really nice with the interior design. If you're super into matcha, you need to check this place out :)
Matcha, Matcha, Matcha. What a cute place this is! I walked in and immediately thought, this is the kind of little shop I could hang out at for a couple of hours with friends. There are a few tables, a cozy couch area, and barstool seating. Surprisingly, there were not many people waiting in line, but it did take me a bit to decide what to order. Not a huge selection of drinks, but just enough to stop me in my tracks to decide between Jasmine Cream Matcha Latte or Hojicha Black Sesame Cream Latte. After letting a few people get ahead of us, I finally decided on the Jasmine Cream Matcha Latte. My thoughts? I have a couple. Their menu does not show prices (smart for them, but annoying for me), small, and sweet. It was like $7 bucks a pop for my drink, one size. I do love the Jasmine Cream. It had just a hint of Jasmine, not super strong, but enough to make my drink yummy. Compared to matcha drinks I've had, this is on the sweeter side, which I like. I also asked them for less ice, they were able to accommodate without sacrificing less liquid. Bravo, thank you! There were two people working, one making drinks and the other handling the cashier and helping with the drinks. I think they managed just fine because I did not have to wait long at all. Parking is street parking. They take cash or cards. Cute place. Will be back for their other flavors.

I love their matcha & their jasmine cream . I prefer less sweet matcha with strong matcha flavor, and Yunomi is perfect for that!! I get lighter sweetness. The jasmine cream matcha is great if you like sweet drinks - my sister is obsessed with it and she's super picky. the viet coffee is good too but suupper strong ! read more
I am admittedly not a matcha connoisseur. Every matcha I have tried, I have liked. I know some people can get really picky with their matcha and where it is sourced from and how it is prepared. I'm just not at that level. That said, this matcha was delicious. I got their double matcha latte, which is matcha topped with a foam. It came with oat milk by default which wouldn't typically be my choice, but it was great and I didn't really notice any difference. I loved the double matcha flavor. Staff and service were great. They were clearly very busy, as these drinks take a bit more preparation than a pour and go. It is really fun to watch them make the drinks. They went out of their way to check in with me on something which was very appreciated. The shop is located on NE 28th, a very happening part of town. They don't have big signs out front so it might be easy to miss. It's a small store with 3-4 tables and a small couch. I recommend taking your drink to-go and walking around the neighborhood or to Laurelhurst! read more

First time trying Yunomi and I am impressed! The matcha quality is pretty smooth and not bitter. The hojicha was also good but very sweet so I would get it less sweet next time. This cafe is good for studying or doing work. Street parking is available by the cafe. read more

Found this place on IG and thankfully got to check it out on our last day in Portland. Got the jasmine cream matcha for $7. I would say the jasmine cream is on the thinner side and the taste is very faint, BUT I'm giving this place a 5 stars because the matcha itself is super super delicious. You can taste it and it wasn't too sweet. I'd probably get it again without the cream. I also like that they didn't overfill it with ice, so you get a decent amount of the matcha drink. read more
I got the jasmine cream matcha at 70% sweetness. the drink came out super quick and service was kind. while the matcha was at the perfect level of sweetness for me, I would've preferred the jasmine cream to be sweeter. I also found the jasmine cream to be overly thick leaving a weird film and aftertaste in my mouth. my boyfriend got the spiced matcha which wasn't my favorite as I felt like the spice took away from the matcha. read more

The jasmine cream matcha latte was bomb! love that you can really taste the jasmine tea flavor and it complemented the grassiness of the matcha super well. Sidenote: A small space with semi-limited seating - some counter seating available and around 2 tables that seat 4 so I wouldn't consider this a great place to do work or catch up with friends for a long time. read more
Visited Oregon for the first time this week and my friend recommended Yunomi Matcha! It surely lived up to the hype! I tried the Jasmine Cream Matcha Latte and the Double Cream Matcha Latte. Both drinks had a strong matcha flavor with the perfect amount of sweetness. I was especially impressed by the Jasmine Cream Matcha because it was so aromatic and the oat milk didn't overpower the taste of the matcha! Customer service was great. Drinks were prepared quickly and the workers were very kind. Decent amount of seating available inside and very clean and nicely decorated. Parking can be challenging because only street parking is available. If I lived in Oregon, I would come every week!! Praying that they'll expand and come to LA one day because I am still dreaming about the Jasmine Cream Matcha Latte!! read more
Wow - I just love the Matcha here. The service is highly professional and skilled. The care to detail is consistent. Each drink we had was absolutely stellar, and the space is very chic. The Matcha float with the coconut pandan ice cream is by far my favorite, but the Matcha with strawberry was quite good too. You should certainly come here and try as many matchas as you can - and then continue to frequent the spot. my partner and i made a visit to yunomi last weekend and decided to pay them another visit again this weekend because it was just that good!! most matcha places are hit or misses but this is a hit!!! we really enjoyed their matcha and appreciated that the flavors did not overpower the matcha. I've previously ordered their jasmine matcha and found it to be well balanced. the star of the show for me though is their hojicha! the employees have always been kind and offered support with any questions and the service is quick! the space itself is pretty small but I typically order it to go anyways! read more

Honestly this is the best matcha place I have ever been to, and I've have tried different matcha from different states. Every time I come Portland the first thing I do is come here. This place still hasn't been beating from any matcha place I have been too. I recommend the matcha float when it's in season. read more
Great customer service especially from the owner as I asked him about his menu, when he opened and how's it going this far! I loved his set up and the unique options featured on his menu that had such intricate options like a jasmine cream foam? Loved that! I went for the Jasmine cream and ordered the strawberry mint for my sister. We both loved them, truly delicious. this space is a bit small but i like the neighborhood it is in. there are a decent amount of small businesses to explore. i especially love the donut place next door. i would not recommend getting work done here because im not sure there would be a table available. i got the jasmine cream which i loved. jasmine and matcha go so well together, and it was not too sweet even though i got 100% sweetness. this drink is worth coming back for but i would also come back for the other drinks. i wish it came with a bit more ice, but im also okay with less ice since it means more matcha read more
One of the newest Asian tea spots bringing that Asian goodness to Portland. Their flavors are spot on and their drinks are exceptional. Place isn't too busy since the tourists and tweens haven't heard about this place yet. This place has delicious drinks that pack great flavor, even if it's not as tween viral/Instagrammable as Project Matcha (another Asian tea spot that opened up recently). Come here if you want Asian drinks done right Tried four drinks over the past 2 weeks and standout drinks so far are their hojicha black sesame latte (not a matcha drink), spiced banana matcha latte and Vietnamese coffee with Jasmine cream. Their roasted barley vanilla latte is pretty nice though it's a lot lighter than the other drinks and doesn't quite feel as worth it. It's still a good caffeine free alternative though and it's got great flavor. Their warabi mochi snack is also delicious and brings me back to Japan. There's a lot of other cool drinks on their menu so I can't wait to come back and try the rest read more

Was in town for work and stopped by this cute matcha cafe. I normally would order a matcha, but saw hojicha on their menu & chose the recommended sea salt cream hojicha from the reviews. Only served cold (which is fine), and the server did an exceptional job in preparing this beverage. read more
This place is so yummy! I loved their regular Hojicha latte. They did not skimp out on the Hojicha nor the matcha. The space is small, cozy, and maybe a great place to work/study with friends if it's not busy. I hope to try their other drinks, they all look so yummy! :) read more
Great quality matcha! Lots of different flavors in the menu. They offer their drinks with alternative milks. It is a small establishment so there is limited seating inside. Lots of people come here to study and work with there laptops! The food they offer isn't always available, but they do seem to change their drink menu occasionally. Been here twice and enjoyed their strawberry mint matcha latte the first time I came. There is a bathroom within the establishment and service is relatively quick. read more
Excellent drinks! Hojicha w/ sesame cream was delicious!! So smooth and not bitter. Matcha was a good standard cup. Warabimochi was not bad - but probably wouldn't order this one again as it wasn't the mochi chewy texture I was looking for. Overall would come back again! There are 3 tables and some counter seating, so it might be tough to get a spot if you're trying to work. Free wifi available! read more
Yummy matcha. The cream is so yummy. The matcha is balanced. I went right at opening and there was a small line. There is some seating inside but not a ton so plan for that. The matcha is hand whisked and takes a little while to come out but so worth the wait. read more

- street parking, found one pretty easily on a friday - seating for work/study! lots of people inside with laptops out - love the menu offerings, with some unique drinks i'd love to go back and try - matcha quality was great! not grainy or too pungent of a taste - i'd recommend the jasmine cream matcha latte, i think that pairing is so yummy and refreshing and the light cream on top adds a floral flavor to the whole drink read more
