Beware of this lady working the front. Almost every 1 star review that is taking down this place is about this one particular lady. This should be a serious eye opener for whoever hired and is paying this lady. She has some sort of grudge against younger-looking people based on how rude she acted towards me and how nice she was towards older folks that walked in after me. Maybe jealousy by the looks of her... but who knows. I walked in and there was no "hi" or "welcome" just a stare that made her looked like she hated her life. We usually get carne asada fries (available in half order also), pollo asada tacos, carne asada burritos, and rolled tacos and they never disappoint. The CAF has the right amount of meat and not skimpy with the guac and sour cream on a bed of shoestring fries. Customer service is typically friendly, fast service and it's clean inside. There is a salsa bar to get your own salsas. No frills, simply delicious and efficient. We frequent this taco shop and it has restored my hope on good Mexican food in the Eastlake area. read more

The lady at the register the few times I've picked up my food isn't too friendly and I dislike the fact that they have that they ask for a tip on every order as is typical these days of most restaurants. My boyfriend and I went yesterday 8/23 between the time of 7-7:30. The lady at the register wasn't friendly. Didn't catch her name but she was bragging about her car to a little kid, slick back bun, and large. I wanted the special on the menu that included a small drink and she was looking at me like I was crazy. Seemed like she didn't know her own menu and proceeded to question if it was another item on the menu that didn't even match what I was describing to her. When I pointed up at the menu which one I wanted, that's when she finally looked up to see what it was. Not sure if she had some sort of ego but this interaction made me lose my appetite and I went with something smaller to eat. Other people were waiting for their order as well. She nicely called out "Hey girls!" Or "Hey guys!" and proceeded it with telling them their food is ready. When it got to me and my boyfriend, all she said was our food order. No friendly greeting. Not sure if she favored a certain group or is going through problems with her own personal relationships, but there's no reason to treat people differently especially when it's so obvious in her tone of voice and behavior. The rolled tacos didn't come with sour cream, so I paid $4 for 4oz when asked for a side of sour cream. The green salsa was good. if I could give zero stars, I would. The woman at the counter, I didn't get her name, (she had a slicked-back bun and was on the larger side) immediately gave me hostility even though I was polite. I just asked if they had a specific Mexican dish I've always loved, instead of helping, she gave me a nasty attitude after ALREADY staring me down as I entered, like I was wasting her time. She THEN proceeded to be even MORE unprofessional, she clearly thought I didn't speak Spanish, because as I took a step back, she turned and started mocking me loudly to another worker and said, "These people, oh my god I dare her to try to talk to me again." It was cruel and completely unnecessary. Keep in mind, I speak Spanish. I understood every word she said about me. She charged me for an extra drink and I only realized it until I paid with my card and went through my receipt. She straight up told me she couldn't refund me (for her mistake mind you) and said just take the drink "it's only like $3" WOW. The nerve of her, ok girl if it's just $3 then let me see you give it to me out of your own paycheck since you messed up and then tell me it's only $3. Of course everyone reading this knows it's not the $3 it's the principal (at this point because all she's been is nasty). I was checked out by the cashier named Luz on Sunday 10/30. I had a to go order. When I came home, I found that one of my meals was missing. I called the store, spoke to Luz and she said she would give me a refund. So far so good, not a big deal and I was satisfied with this resolution. Come the next day Halloween. I went in with my daughter who was also trick or treating. And we were greeted by the RUDEST, MEAN, and very intimidating woman. It was not Luz but a different lady. Before I even said anything to her, she was barking at my daughter to say "trick or treat". First off my daughter did say trick or treat, but this lady did not hear her as she said it the man who was passing out the candy, and this lady was working the register. Out of the 28 stores I went to before...NONE of them barked at my daughter for a "say trick or treat". Only this lady had the audacity to force a 2 year old!! (Mind you some kids are non verbal or shy). This was just the beginning of my experience with this rude cashier. I then explained to her that I was there to receive a refund from a missing meal that I did not get the day before. And I had spoken to Luz about getting a refund. **QUE all hell breaking lose** This woman about lost her mind when I asked for a refund. She asked if I had a receipt, which I never received a receipt. But I was able to show her my Apple Payment from my phone. The proof of purchase still did not satisfy her. She then wanted to give me the meal that I was missing. However I was not there for the missing meal, at this point I just wanted my refund. She got very nasty with her words and tone, and it was very aggressive to me in front of my two-year-old daughter. She told me there was no way she was giving me a cash refund, this was her register and she wasn't going to do this from her register. One of her coworkers said that it was fine to do give the refund, but this lady did not want to budge. I was actually pretty scared with the way she was speaking to me. I then asked to speak to a manager. She then called Luz, and finally gave me a refund. I wish I would have read the reviews before walking into this establishment. This aggressive cashier will single handedly bring down this business. Such a shame. I'm shocked the owners have not done anything to improve this non-existent customer service. Tried this place only because Los Primos in Rolling Hills Ranch closed. This was my second trip (went last week!) and no issues the first time. As a small business owner, I'd be happy if someone returned to my business just one week later, but the service today doesn't tell that story! I was sitting next to my husband when he ordered from home, so I heard the whole pickup order. The cashier was confused about his Carne Asada breakfast burrito, I assume because the online menu doesn't match the in-store menu(Ingredients) OR IT'S PRICES (which I figured out when I walked back in). I called them to advise of the error but before I could explain what went wrong and WHAT I HEARD, the cashier (Luz) interrupted to explain basically how she got it right. I asked her to allow me to finish speaking, before she explains to me how she made the mistake, and then she said "are you finished" in a tone that I can only describe as combative. Then she began to explain about the burrito that she got wrong, and I told her I didn't need the explanation...then she cuts me off again and says "I'm busy, so do you want a refund or a new burrito"????? There's only one word to describe this...RUDE. There was no "I'm sorry" or "my apologies" or anything really, other than an implied "hurry up". With that said, I tell her I don't appreciate the interruption and that the burrito that was ordered is wrong. To add insult to injury, why there were items removed from my burrito (when the discussion on the phone was about a carne asada burrito that DOESN'T EVEN HAVE SAUSAGE, I realize that my receipt has a different price than the website, and that the inside menu has ANOTHER price altogether. So I was charged more than the online menu price but less than the in-store menu price. Interesting. I wonder how they decide which price, and to whom??? 9.25, 9.99 or 10.79 After I drive back, I ask for the burrito and then realize the pricing issue. I tried to tell her about it and she says "well, I'm just the cashier...I told the owner, I can't do anything". She closes with a relevant, customer-focused response "STAY HAPPY", which was clearly meant in a derogatory manner. I told her about Cotija which opened up recently near our home and I drove there to get take out. When I walked in, I looked at the menu real quick and placed my order. While waiting, I decided to get some salsa from their salsa bar (plenty to choose from) along with a few limes and cucumbers (perfect with taijin at home!). The food was ready within a short amount of time and when I got home, the food was still very warm and my wife loved her quesadilla and I enjoyed my pollo asado tacos with rice.
