Took an hour and a half to get pizza delivered. When I called to find out where my food was, I was greeted with an aggressive speaking employee who stated "your food is on the way" without so much a sorry we are running late. When I called the 2nd time the put me on hold and I had to call back again only to be greeted in the same aggressive voice "your food is on the way." I understand that your business can become very busy at times, but you should be able to staff appropriately and train them to be pleasant to your customers. I ordered delivery from here tonight. I got the Meatball Sub and a tossed salad. I have got their lasagna from this location. The lasagna is straight-up legit. I get a call from the delivery driver, and he states he cant fond my place and is way in the opposite direction. My place is not hard to find. Also, when the driver showed up and told me I was outside of the coverage area. And i should be ordering from the Berkley store. Cottage Inn is by far one the the best pizza places I've ever had !! All there ingredients are fresh! If you love breadsticks as much as I do I highly recomme nd getting the breadsticks with ranch dressing! I could literally make a meal out of just this !! I usually opt for the thin crust pepperoni pizza ! You will not be disappointed! Did takeout today from here, I had a Groupon for one gourmet pizza and one one-topping. I got a BBQ chicken pizza minus the bacon, and a pepperoni pizza. Both pizzas were excellent... We had 6 people at a Golden Globes party I was hosting at my apt and the 2 pizzas went pretty quickly. I called in my order for 630pm at around 4, and when I showed up around 630-635pm it was coming out of the oven. They also gave me coupons for next time, I'd like to use them at the Troy location but I think it's only good for Madison Heights and a few other locations (not Troy). I have had their pizza three times in the last two months and it just did not meet my expectations. The pizza never tastes like it's fully done. Tonight was no exception. Placed an order through Grubhub for an all meat pizza. Upon delivery the pizza had no pizza sauce. I called and spoke to the manager who apologized that there menu did not match directly with the food ordering service they use. The pizza was awful and the manager did not offer to replace it but said she would have the menu updated. It's a really hit or miss place with this pizzeria. Sometimes what you get is extremely satisfying, and then sometimes what you get from there is rather just 'blah'. There are pretty good online deals on Monday and Tuesday especially. The crust was different than most - layered and flaky - but less so than a croissant. I've ordered from this location a handful of times. As a celiac, I expect when I order gluten free items that they are actually gluten free products with no, if not minimal, cross contamination. Yesterday, what I received when I ordered the gluten free pizza was not a gluten free item. I had such a severe reaction that I'm convinced a regular thin crust pizza dough was put in the foil pan. Please retrain your staff of the dangers of ignoring food allergies including celiacs ordering your "gluten free" items. Food allergies kill. I'm new to area and i see this isn't a good place to eat from It starts and ends with Shelly. The girl shouldn't answer the phone. Her attitude was so apparent that I almost took it personal. First, she gain an attitude when I didn't understand her asking for a street number. I don't live on a street number so my confusion lead her to be frustrated. Then when I ask what are your specials, she returns with a huff and puff then proceeds to name the special. Then I say well I'll take 2 large cheese instead and she then has an attitude because the price she mention didn't sound right. Which she explained it but again with such a damn attitude that now I'm thinking it's something I did. She gives total and ask will I be tipping and with an attitude I say no. She then ask me really and then say wow. I let her know her attitude stop his tip but I was actually giving cash and not my card so she really needed to relax.
