This is a fantastic restaurant that offers a wide variety of cuisines in addition to an extensive wine menu. The immense open kitchen is extremely clean. The ambiance offers a comfortable and inviting atmosphere that makes for a fun and relaxing dining experience. Even with a crowd the noise level is not distracting or overbearing. Senia took extremely good care of us by providing an endearing upbeat demeanor. She was extremely attentive while expressing extensive knowledge of the restaurant. I had a great experience here on Saturday. We were seated exactly at our reservation time. For starters, we got the focaccia. It was very soft, however if you don't like thyme then I wouldn't recommend ordering it... as the flavor was prominent. I thought that it was very delicious though! The focaccia came with a whipped butter, which was slighty sweet. For food, I decided to get the bolognese. It was pretty good, but I feel like it could've been a little more seasoned, and have a tiny bit more sauce. The noodles were cooked perfectly, though. Outstanding! Had to try Il Bracco after dinning at their other restaurant Balboa Surf Club. This restaurant group does not skip a beat. From ambiance, service, waitstaff to the food. All are stellar and I really appreciate all there efforts. Brought a friend here for his Bday because he loves pasta. Cocktails are stellar, well balanced and very satisfying. We had the Aperol Spritz, cucumber martini and the Asti76. Started with the Medjool Dates, and Focaccia Bruschetta both were delicious. We shared plates because we wanted to try both dishes. The single layer lasagna was out of this world. The had the right amount of everything. So balanced yet so light, filling and satisfying. Also we ordered the Al Limone (linguini, shrimp, lemon, chives and breadcrumbs) also light and satisfying. The pasta is cooked to pure perfection. We ended with the delicious Tiramisu served with a birthday ice cream that had whip cream with an olive oil and nuts poured over it, pure heaven. Never had ice cream that way. The cherry on top of the whole experience was Gracie our waitress. When I say the staff is attentive, I mean it. Not once did we have to ask for anything. At some point I dropped fork before dinner came while me and my friend was talking. I said to my self that I will ask for a new one when Gracie comes back to check on us. Did not even have to ask. She had already came ready with new utensils for me. I mean we where in a booth she definitely did not see my dropp it. I recently tried Il Bracco recently for lunch. The restaurant looks nice and clean but a bit cramped. Our server was super nice and helpful. For appetizers, we ordered the Crispy Artichokes and the Housemade Focaccia. The artichokes were okay but came with a decent aioli for dipping. They were light but not crispy. The focaccia came with a ricotta dip which was pretty tasty. I ordered the Al Limone pasta which came with linguine, jumbo shrimps, lemon, chives, and breadcrumbs. The 3 jumbo shrimps that it came with tasted pretty fresh, and the breadcrumbs added a nice texture to the pasta. The dish was pretty lemony but was a bit bland and just lacked flavors overall. The pasta was al dente but on the harder side, so I didn't like that too much either. Lemony shrimp pastas are usually my favorite, but this was not it. Overall I probably wouldn't go back to Il Bracco on my own. I came in with high expectations because of the good reviews, but it turned out to be pretty underwhelming. read more

The guest of honor was a bit upset that the server took our food before we were completely done and when she said, "I think there's still food in there," he said, "I'm pretty sure they're empty." We enjoyed the eggplant Parmesan, the fish filet, the gemeli pasta and the cacio e peppe, as well as Brocollini, mushrooms, the burrata, crudo, and bread with whipped feta. This place is super elegant, very dim lighting in the restaurant, romantic vibes. Big circle bar, outdoor patio that looks cute with lights at night. The staff is super friendly everyone is really good at welcoming you in. Our waitress Emma was really sweet and bubbly and made a good rec for our dessert. The food was really good my husband is on the hunt for good cappelletti, not many Italian restaurants serve it so he was really excited to see it on the menu. I love a classic spicy vodka sauce and this was tasty! Not overly creamy, good portion size. I came for my friend's birthday dinner and the server was super nice! The ambiance and lighting were perfect and the noise level wasn't too loud or quiet. I ordered the spicy gemelli and my friend ordered the lasagna. The spicy gemelli was a little salty and did not have as much flavor as I expected but the noodle texture was so good. It was definitely on the chewier side. It was not as spicy as I liked but adding red chili pepper flakes made it better. The lasagna was much different than we expected. The breading was super thin and crust like. The flavors of the lasagna was really good and surprised me though. My wife and I ate here recently after being impressed by their sister restaurant Balboa Surf Club across the parking lot. Il Bracco is an upscale Italian restaurant in the shiny and sleek Post Oak area of Houston. The interior was low lit and bustling with the sounds of their open kitchen cranking out plates, the bar top full of lively chatter, and booths and tables packed with diners having a big night out. The decor was very modern but it still felt personable and warm. The dinner crowd was lively but it wasn't loud in a bad way. It felt like you stumbled upon a secret party you've been missing out on. There were businessmen closing deals over steaks, families celebrating big occasions, many a date nights, and big tables of friends clanking glasses. They offer house-made pastas, fresh seafood, and USDA prime steaks, along with a full-service bar. They're open for both lunch and dinner daily. We opted for a couple appetizers, a bottle of wine, and each ordered one of their house-made pastas. Everything came out in good time and was perfectly executed. I was very happy with my Cacio e pepe and my wife was equally happy with her order. Prices are also surprisingly agreeable considering the formal and sleek feel of the place. I want to say my pasta was something like $23? Service was prompt and friendly. Out waiter did a fantastic job guiding us through the menu as first timers and even pointed out some off menu options and regular favorites. Zero complaints about front of house. Overall, Il Bracco is a great option for celebrations, date nights, or simply one of those evenings out where you want to dress up and have some good food and people watch. The salad were light and fresh with tender chicken and nicely done kale. The salad is simple and light (I may have wished for a little more texture or color), but the flavor was on point. Nice place to celebrate a graduation. My niece chose this restaurant to celebrate her graduation. Great service from Michelle. Started with a plate of focaccia and whipped ricotta. The focaccia is so light and buttery. It paired perfectly with the whipped ricotta spread. The five slices were just right for each of the three tables. Split a kale salad. So fresh and delicious. For the entrees at our table, we got a variety of fish and pasta entrees. Spicy gemelli. Al limone. Mediterranean sea bass. Pesto crusted salmon. The Mediterranean sea bass was delicious. The fish was paired with a gremolata mint sauce with yellow raisins. I substituted broccolini for the vegetable of the day which was roasted cauliflower. So good. The highlight of the meal were definitely the four entrees. My favorite was the Bolognese, which has a rich but not overwhelming meat sauce with thick pasta that helped to carry the sauce. The Al Limone offered a perfect contrast that had a lighter sauce that prevented the meal from becoming overwhelming. On the night that the six of us met for dinner, there were some glitches. I decided to send my broccolini back due to saltiness. One of the chicken dishes was cold toward the center. Ragu sauce on the bolognese was lukewarm. The pasta was good. It wasn't the traditional tagliatelle, but I liked it. The kitchen is turning out decent pasta. The cantucci biscotti was over baked and dark brown. One of our party had no issues with his entree. All in all, not the best experience, I'm sorry to say. One of the managers did come to the table to see how to make things right and several of the concerned items were removed from the final bill. Much appreciated. It isn't a bad menu. But I have a gut feeling that upper management needs to oversee the kitchen to assure that what is being put out is the best it can be. All about technique. And having a cultural map to know what something should taste like intuitively, instead of just following a recipe someone gave you. Then again, if you have a chef who says "those biscotti are twice baked and that's why they look and taste like that", and I'm thinking "dude, I used to spend 3 weeks in Italy every year at Christmas, and, I bake, so I do know what cantucci are supposed to taste like" lol. I'm thinking that I might bake up a batch to show them , as, I don't want to be "that guy" who complains but doesn't offer constructive criticism or helpfulness. Update. I had told a friend about the cantucci. He was there last week and took a look at the bags of cookies. He told me "some looked okay and others were definitely over baked, overly brown". This raised a red flag about quality control in the kitchen. Perhaps because the baker is from a different country and doesn't have the culinary cultural map to know what is acceptable and what is not. Their Negroni, using a Barolo Chinato instead of Vermouth was damn tasty and I'd order it again. I might sweet talk into making in the more European way if I ever revisit. read more

I recently dined here at dinner time for my first visit. Il Bracco is in an upscale shopping center with plenty of free parking in front. Inside it's an attractive and upscale restaurant with a full bar in the main dining room. Unfortunately, I only took two pictures while there. After being seated and presented the menu we all agreed everything looked good. I went with one of their homemade pasta dishes. It was the Bolognese for $28 and arrived within 10 minutes after ordering. The pasta was Mafaldine with a Ragu of beef, pork and lamb meat and had Reggiano cheese on top. It was a generous sized serving and tasted very good. I enjoyed it. At $28 it was a little pricey but this is the Post Oak part of town so it's expected. Finally Adam did a professional and friendly job of waiting on us. Il Bracco is a very nice Italian restaurant that I would be happy to return to. read more

I'm glad this place is still flourishing since I've been gone and the quality of food, and service have not dropped off. I've the main three Italian places I like to frequent, North Italia, Lombardi Cucina and Il Bracco, my personal opinion I like the food the best here, while each place has their pluses. The two dishes that I've tasted that I could definitely recommend to anyone s their AL LIMONE Linguine which is composed of shrimp, lemon, chives and breadcrumbs. The other dish is the MEATBALLS composed of Beef, lamb and pork, tomato gravy, reggiano, and side of house made focaccia. Service at the bar and table top are both lickety split fast and good. Very high marks for their service. There are a lot of other great menu choices and I plan on trying those dishes again. Bracco=Buenisimo. The pesto rigatoni is one of the best pesto-based pastas I've ever had. The salty-possibly garlicky? pesto sat extremely well in the mouth and seemed to almost marinate the tongue for a lingering taste in between between bites. The pancetta was also a unique and appreciated spicy element to this pasta. The pancetta did have a little bit of hard initial bite. The house made focaccia, also the best I've had ever. The olive oil use to make this bread was obviously of premium quality. Thought not an element I wish to remove, some bites did have an overabundance of rosemary which occasionally left an overly-woody taste. But the overall flavor of rosemary adds to the flavor of this dish. The service here was also one of the most hospitable I've encountered in fine dining. Our waiter was attentive, yet discrete. Coming from the service industry I can recognize fine service. The overall dim color hues of the restaurant interior provided a truly romantic and dramatic atmosphere under warm lighting. As you enter there's a warm welcoming feel with an open kitchen and bar. The patio did look inviting as well but wanted to be able to avoid the sound of traffic passing as it was 6:30pm on a weeknight. The reviews led me to try the meatball appetizer and they did not lie! So tender, with flavors that complement each other and the focaccia with herbs paired well. The manager brought out a small sample of the ricotta and oil for me to try with. It was good but I honestly liked it best without it. We also had the Caesar salad. My friend and I went the smart route and shared everything so we could try more. We order the Al linone pasta & the Gemeli which had a delightlful kick to it. The server suggested a side of crispy chicken with it. He surprised us with an order of the new pesto rigatoni as well. This was so sweet and a lovely addition because I'm not sure I would've ordered due to the peas. ALL of the food was good! I will be back! Stopped by Saturday evening around 8pm, we didn't have a reservation but they offered to seat us in the patio so we didn't have to wait. It was a little windy but they have the fireplace going, so it was still warm. The restaurant is definitely an elevated causal vibe. Our waitress was super sweet and friendly. All of the waiters were very attentive and accommodating. We started off with the focaccia bread and butter, it was so soft and delicious. I also ordered a cranberry mocktail and the limoné pasta with shrimp, it was very good the shrimp were cooked perfectly, i wish it came with more than three. The lemon butter sauce was so light, maybe a tad bit too zesty but overall delicious. My friend enjoyed her pesto crusted salmon and my other friend said her bolognese was okay. The Bolognese, Spicy Gemelli (Vodka Pasta) and two seasonal Pesto and Marsala ones are so good for entrees every time here. Last night I had the Marsala Trumpets Pasta with a Buffalo Trace on the rocks. It was really delicious, juicy, rich, fresh and packed with awesome, earthy mushroom vibes. Not just great noodles, but clearly handmade, very tender and not just good mushrooms, but very good quality seemingly like forest or wild ones. The ingredients, creaminess, herbs and seasoning were all spot-on in the meal. I would say it was the best mushroom pasta I ever had, along with the Fungi Pasta from Giacomo's. The drink was cold, strong, refreshing and sweet with some pinch to it. The service was very good and welcoming as well. I can say the same for Bolognese last time. Very flavorful, very delicious, very hearty in taste holding a great amount of both bolognese and pasta. It's too bad the Chocolate Budino is gone from their desserts, but the Tiramisu is very good and still need to try the Lemon Tart next if they still sell it. read more

In fact there was a small delay in taking our orders and to rectify it he ordered the artichoke for us to try on the house. Not only was the artichoke delicious every other dish we tried was delicious as well. By the end of the meal we were so full we were fighting through the tiramisu, which was also delicious. I am visiting Houston and was looking for a tasty Italian restaurant. After reading a half dozen reviews, I chose Il Bracco, and I'm very happy that I did. I was greeted by the kind host team and requested to sit at the bar. The bartenders were very attentive and worked well together to make sure that I had everything I wanted. They offered several suggestions upon my request and were very helpful. I chose the Bolognese, polenta and add on a couple of focaccia breadsticks. The Bolognese was terrific offering a very unique and complex set of flavors that made my heart happy. The polenta left a little bit to be desired, but I also know that I'm very particular, but I like my polenta. Ask for the focaccia, one of my favorites. I wish it would've been a little bit warmer, but I also understand that focaccia is served at different temperatures based on the restaurant. Ambience the restaurant was terrific. I got the Marsala trumpets pasta. It had trompetti, seasonal mushrooms, garlic, and Marsala. I've never had this kind of pasta before so it was something new and unique to me. The pasta overall was pretty rustic and earthy. The Marsala flavor was a lot lighter than I thought it was going to be. I feel like you have to really get the sauce onto the pasta to get more flavor out of it. Although good, I felt like the pastas needed to be more stronger in flavor. I felt the same for the spicy gemelli. Although it is good, you really need to plow the pasta through the sauce. I found that the chili flakes really helped make these dishes better. I also got to try their one sheet lasagna and meatballs. This lasagna is not your typical lasagna, I thought it was a flatbread when it came out. It's topped with ricotta, basil, spicy tomato gravy and pesto. I actually really really liked this. It's more on the crispy side and the flavor was more popping. The waitress gave us a complimentary dessert. It was ice cream topped with cream and olive oil. The olive oil made it a little too salty but I still enjoyed it read more
