When this place first came to Weatherford it was very good and clean,and the serve was very good and very fast. Not any more, now you get tired of waiting for a table, And then your food.I should have never gone back after I got sick from the fried fish. But I thought, maybe it was just a coincidence. So I went back to give them another chance. So I waited for a table again! And waited for the food again! When I got my hamburger ate part of it I found that I had a hair in my mouth and was still inside the hamburger!well at least they didn't try to make pay for it. We have a large family, there's 9 of us, so I cut a lot of places some slack. We arrived on a Sunday after 1 pm, I'm sure their kitchen and wait staff was rocked from the post church crowd, so again, I cut them some slack. Our wait for the table was short, about 10 minutes, no problem. We get seated, Jerry W. gets our drink orders and appetizers, and we're all set. We ordered the queso and salsa (chips), and the onion rings with ranch. They both come out in good time. We then place our lunch entree orders. The whole time Jerry is flying around the table and refilling drinks, they never run dry, one of the littles spills her cup, Jerry is right there to clean it up and refill her cup. Jerry gets five stars. Here's where the 3 star rating comes in, we watch three other tables come in and seated after us, they all eat, pay and leave, and we're still waiting on our food. About and hour and a half has passed since our arrival, no manager in sight to explain why it's taking so long, we have 4 little ones under 8 years old, so it's a struggle on long waits. I don't mind waiting for food if it's going to excellent, but when it finally arrived, it was disappointing. My wife and I shared the chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes and broccoli casserole. Unseasoned and undercooked mashed potatoes and the chicken fried steak was tough. We weren't looking for comped meals, maybe just someone to let us know how long the wait will be. The worst restaurant experience I've ever had. I had a to go order. I arrived when it was supposed to be picked up. They told me it would just be a few more minutes. After waiting about 15 minutes and nothing, I asked them to check on it. Come to find out they never actually started making the order. At this point I had already been here for 40 minutes (not even kidding) and my order was never even cooked. So instead of them actually checking in my order they just kept telling me it was almost ready when it was never even started. So after waiting almost an hour for my food, the manager comes out and instead of trying to make it right or give me a discount or something for the inconvenience, he made it seem like it wasn't a big deal. I will not be coming back here ever again. I could've came in, sat down, ordered my food and ate in the time I had to wait for a to go order! Absolutely worst customer service ever! We were not pleased with our hot food at all. I ordered the veggie platter-the dinner salad was great, I had black eyed peas, squash casserole and broccoli-all were at best room temperature. My daughter had the chicken strip platter-the chicken tenders were all batter and no chicken, she had Mac and cheese and garlic mashed potatoes-these were all room temperature also. We tried to catch the waitress but there were only 3 people working the floor for the whole restaurant. Took us close to 30 minutes to get our food. You would think it would be hard to mess up a chicken fried steak. Apparently, theirs should just be called chicken fry since I had a hard time finding the steak in all the breading. The side dishes were cold and the mac and cheese was dry and hard. On top of the bad quality food, our waitress acted like she could not have possibly cared less. Two tables that came in after us were served and gone before we finished our food. Used to be a good place with good food and family friendly. So I just work real close to this location and never had it before then I tried it and thought Ohhh yum it was delish!!! Well I don't think it's bad food but I do believe the service isn't amazing! They have one girl that is awesome and always welcomes you when you walk in BUT If she isn't there you will wait at the order out counter and be looked at 10 times over but not a damn teenager comes and helps u! Until you say can I order PLEASE and don't get me wrong I Tip every damn time! I will say quality has gone down a little as well! Soup has been getting colder and colder every time I get it and are you buying the rolls when people ask for tools give them more then 1 tool with two meals ordered especially if it's a soup and a salad WTF?? read more

Picked up lunch for Sunday. Been here many times, sometimes very good and other times not so much. On this occasion they were very friendly and professional. The food, however was not. I had a chicken fry with two sides. Mashed potatoes were very good and apples were fine. The chicken fry was poor. Would nor recommend it at all. My wife had chicken in dumplings which she could not ear, her carrots were not cooked so she cooked them herself. Her mashed potatoes were good. i just went in to the Weatherford location with eleven friends. We were told they could not accommodate the size of our group. We told them they could break us up into separate tables. We were told they still could not accommodate us. There was only a couple of groups in the whole restaurant. I will never go to this location again and will warn anyone else to stay away!! read more

This is the second time I have had a terrible experience at this location. I went with high hopes thinking they were just having an off day the first time, but somehow this time was worse than the last. First the server tried to sit us at a filthy table, she did clean it with a soaking wet rag that stunk of mold, then left our table so wet water was dripping off the sides. When asked if she could dry it off she brought us a handful of paper towels and dropped them on the table for us to finish cleaning. The food was not any better. I ordered the blackened tilapia that comes with rice, the rice was inedible. It was so crunchy, almost like it was not cooked properly. The kids ordered mac and cheese that looked like yellow water. This was not a busy time at all but I saw the waitress when she brought our food, and for the check, she did not offer to refill any drinks and had to be reminded to give the kids their dessert. read more

The service was not good at all, was sat down at a dirty table when there were only 3 guest inside of the restaurant, watched the cooks take off their masks and eat in the kitchen while our food was right in front of them. Our server kept taking her mask down and talking into her hand with the same gloves on she touched our plates with. They had 4-5 employees just standing at the counter talking and playing throwing stuff at each other. Guest left 30 mins ago and the tables they sat at are still dirty. I've eaten here off and on over the past 5 years or so. Food is consistent with other locations and pretty good. Service waxes and wanes as new staff cycle through, but over all I have had good service. Slow on weekday evenings, which is nice since you don't have to wait. Busy on Sunday after church. the place is always clean. My only complaint is they play their (country) music very loud... the back booths by the restrooms seem to be furthest from the speakers and not quite as loud. My wife and I went there for supper earlier this evening. She had been there before, but I had not. I like the decor. It's simple and says, "We're here to serve food. That's what we are about. We don't need a whole lot of embellishment." The place was very clean and the bathrooms were spotless. Our waitress was Sara. This young lady is absolutely delightful! Come to find out, it was her third day on the job. Sara will go very far and succeed in anything she ever decides to do. If she ever decides that she wants a career in retail, I have a job for her any time she wants it. Whatever they are paying her, it's not enough. Cotton Patch obviously has an excellent training program, and Sara has the attitude that every hiring manager wishes he could get in every employee. In addition to her wonderful attitude and obvious concern about her customers, It is amazing that a new employee could be anywhere near as competent and confident as she was. I swear you could not tell that she hadn't been doing her job for ten years. I am not exaggerating when I say that you could pick this child up and put her in Truluck's or The Palm or The Mansion or The Left Bank in Miami and she would immediately provide the service expected in a 5-star restaurant. I can't say enough about this young lady! We both had the fish and shrimp dinner. The side salads were crisp and very well done. The raspberry vinaigrette dressing that I had was excellent and the avocado ranch that my wife had was even better. The dressings were obviously made on site. We had the fried mozzarella sticks for starters. We were pretty hungry, so we ordered eight of them. We were expecting the standard-sized sticks that you get everywhere. It's a good thing that we were hungry. These rascals are about twice the size that one expects. They were obviously made on-site, cut from a big old hunk of GOOD mozzarella. It's probably not buffalo mozzarella since eight of these huge sticks cost only $5.99, but it's definitely not the low-fat, part skim crap that virtually everyone uses now. The cheese was wonderfully creamy, and stayed that way as it cooled. The crust was nice and crunchy and stayed that way. Unfortunately, the marinara sauce was simply sad. It was obviously made on site, and it tasted as if it was made from fresh ingredients, but these folks don't understand good marinara. They need another recipe. It was very institutional and had far too much oregano; so much that it covered up the taste of the other ingredients and the flavor of the great cheese sticks. The rolls that were provided were a concern for us. We had to keep reaching over to hold them down to keep them from floating away because they were so light. The flavor was great. Was disappointed that one of those flavorless "spreads" was provided instead of butter or proper margarine. These wonderful rolls deserved better than that. There was a problem with the fish. I will say no more about it. The shrimp was lightly breaded and seasoned, allowing us to taste the shrimp, which was very good. It was perfectly cooked. The iced tea was a disappointment. My wife had unsweetened. It was pale and weak. I had sweetened peach tea. They obviously use some kind of flavoring syrup instead of simply adding a little peach nectar. The first glass that I got had too much of the flavoring and had a chemical taste. The second glass was done just right and was as good as one can do without using proper peach nectar. We were quite favorably impressed overall. We want to try their steaks and their CFS. They look very good. Now: here's why I rated this visit as five stars rather than four: As I said above, there was a problem with our fish, one that can happen anywhere, no matter how careful people are. I told our delightful Sara and was MOST favorably impressed with the way she handled it. She wasn't defensive at all. She didn't take it personally, other than showing that she was truly very concerned and wanted to correct the situation. She wasn't emotional about it. She was simply as professional as one can get. This from a very young girl on her third day on the job. She didn't try to make excuses. She simply asked the appropriate questions, not to try to make sure we weren't looking for a freebie or something, but because she wanted to know exactly what the problem was so that she could take the appropriate action. Quentin, the young man in charge of the kitchen, came out and, once again, handled the matter perfectly. He asked the right questions, then asked what we thought would make things right, then exceeded what we asked. Folks, these two young people turned a negative into a positive. I WISH I could get the associates that work for me to understand customer service HALF as well as these folks do, and they are pretty darned good. We will certainly be back. read more

I've been to this place twice this week. First experience my companion and I were ignored by our waitress for roughly 15-30 minutes (claims she was new) figured I'd give this place a second chance because their BBQ chicken salad is pretty good. I ordered the same thing today and for some reason they thought it would be a good to add items that weren't indicated to be on the salad, of all things they added cucumbers, could have killed me! They also scarcely refill drinks to keep the proper level of hydration during food consumption. Glad I can smell cucumbers a mile away! Being that I had not previously been to a Cotton Patch before, I came in very comfortable and trusting due to the large crowd. However, I was quickly disappointed. The water tasted like tea and the place smelt of a nursing home. The rolls were brought which I was excited about, until realizing I could only have one because the other person I was with would not have had one. Sharing is caring yes, so maybe provide a more solid quantity. When it comes to atmosphere it was rather bland, faint country music but not much going on. I honestly should have just risked my health for a Big Mac or something. The water stayed empty for an unacceptable amount of time and being that the customer is the most important I was highly offended. Fuck this place. The establishment needs lots of work and I pray that someone resurrects it from the doldrums of shit rotten. read more

I've been a Cotton Patch fan for sometime. Had lunch today...a little late so no crowds. The price breaks were very welcome and the restaurant had been updated since my last visit...TX decor & comfy...the service was exemplary and my chicken fried steak breaded & cooked perfectly. Topped lunch off with the banana pudding---about the only time I indulge in this particular dessert--and it came festooned with vanilla wafers and the pudding was thick & flavorful. I have been to this location several times before and have always been impressed. Today I had family in town and took them for an early supper. Disappointed to say that this was the worst food experience I have had at any restaurant. The catfish basket consisted of three pieces of fish that were about 3 inches long and two inches wide, hush puppies burnt to a crisp and looked as small as a kids portioned meal. I ordered the Cajun duo "which I love" but it looked like an even smaller portion than a kids meal, very dry with hardly any sauce, but what really killed it for me was the bed of rice that was hard as rocks! I don't even see how a plate put together that way would be allowed to leave the kitchen. I was asked if I wanted more rice but the plate was ruined and I just sent the plate back. The meal was taken off the ticket but a dessert or gift card for the troubles could have been offered in my opinion.
