My toddler and I went to Sunny Street Cafe for a late breakfast. There was wait list but we managed to get a table within 10-15 mins. They have a cute Dino themed menu for kids. My son ate the Dino pancakes which was amazing filled with chocolate chips. I had their avocado eggs benedict, it was amazing and filling. The service was great and quick and our server was very helpful with recommendations. Definitely recommend this restaurant.

    STF omelette for the win!

I don't get to Weatherford often and found Sunny Street based on the Yelp reviews when looking for a place to meet a friend for lunch. We were both very happy with the selection and had a wonderful time! The restaurant is clean and well-lit, the service excellent, and the food very tasty. I had the STF (spinach, tomato, feta) omelette with fruit and asked to sub hashbrowns for toast. (The waitress said the substitution was no problem but failed to mention I would be charged for the hashbrowns. Since that may have been an honest mistake when putting in the order, I won't count it against them.) Not only was our server friendly and attentive, she also let us linger uninterrupted for nearly an hour after we finished our meal, since my friend and I hadn't seen each other in ages and had lots of catching up to do. When we finally did wrap up, a different server who happened to be at the next table offered to make us beverages to go. So thoughtful! I'm not sure when I'll be in Weatherford again, but this will definitely be my go-to spot for breakfast or lunch. Fresh food and friendly service are always worth the trip!

    Eggs Benedict (added avocado)

I came on a busy Saturday morning and there was no wait to be seated but there was a line after I left. The staff members are friendly and you can pay for your order at the kiosk up front. The restaurant is on the smaller side and true to the diner-look. I ordered the eggs benedict with easy poached eggs and added avocado for extra freshness with a side of hash browns. The hollandaise was not the smoothest i've ever had but you couldn't really a drastic difference in texture besides visually. I was pleasantly surprised at the hash browns: they were cut on the thicker side but fluffy and crispy on the outside, not super bland like most places. Overall, the meal was great! Everything tasted fresh and delicious.

Cute little cafe. The chicken and waffle was great. Large portion. The Baja omelette has a lot of bacon in it. Good flavor. The grits are nice and smooth. Service was friendly.

Pros .. 1. They have a first come, first serve counter that helped me bypass the waitlist. 2. The service was fast and friendly. 3. The coffee was good and filled often. 4. The grits were prepared perfectly! Cons .. 1. I had the omelet with pico, bacon, and avocado. I list pico first because 80% of it was pico. I literally tasted nothing else. .... that's it ... Sitting in front of the kitchen window let me see all the other dishes coming out. The hashbrowns and the eggs Benedict looked amazing. NOTE: I went for quiche and did not realize until later it is not on the menu. It is a weekend thing only. I should have asked.

The waitress didn't answer our questions with knowledge. The food was mediocre at best. There was only a few tables so I expected better.

The rumors are true Rio Brazos Grill is fantastic. Not "good for a small town," not "surprisingly…read moredecent" just flat-out good. The kind of place where it's immediately obvious someone in the kitchen actually knows what they're doing, which already puts it ahead of most restaurants pretending to. The meal starts strong with flash-fried calamari Fresno chilies, sweet chili sauce, balanced heat, and a clean execution. It comes as strips, which feels a little safe. Rings or whole baby squid would've shown more technical confidence, but fine the flavor still delivers, and at the end of the day, that's what people actually remember. The Calabria chili shrimp follows with the same sense of control: spicy, but not trying to prove a point. Paired with grilled baguette, it does exactly what it's supposed to do support the dish instead of getting in the way. And then there's the Chicken Fried Ribeye, which sounds like a bad decision until you eat it. Crispy on the outside, rich and tender underneath, covered in black pepper gravy with buttermilk mashed potatoes, a potato nest, and because apparently restraint is optional--two fried quail eggs. It's excessive, but not stupid. That's a very fine line, and they walk it well. Chef Clint Connaway clearly has classical training--nobody just stumbles into a proper beurre blanc. The menu pulls from Southwestern, Native American, Mexican and French influences, which should feel chaotic but somehow doesn't. It works because the execution is consistent, even when the ideas get a little ambitious. That said, the place isn't perfect. The quail eggs show up so often they start to feel less like a signature and more like a habit. And for all the technical skill, there's a noticeable lack of local identity. With Bosque Ranch right down the road, it's hard not to wonder why more local beef isn't front and center. A stronger focus on seasonal or locally sourced ingredients would push this from great to something more grounded--something that actually tastes like where you are. And then there's the obvious question: why no brunch? A kitchen like this could absolutely dominate a brunch service. Instead, it's just... not happening, which feels like wasted potential. Still, none of that changes the core truth. The food is thoughtful, the technique is real, and most importantly you leave feeling satisfied instead of questioning your life choices. That alone is worth something.

What I found is this place can be great but they need more work. We were only the second table and we were greeted promptly. The decor and atmosphere is fantastic here. Our waitress was very friendly and took our drink order. She advised us that the hostess gave us the wrong menus and gave us the brunch menu. This is weirdly a reoccurring issue at a smaller Felipe Armenta restaurant. It's happened to me at The Tavern and Press Cafe in Fort Worth. The patio was still only partially opened, and had to scramble to get it open to accommodate incoming customers. Food- The coffee was very good and the bearcat breakfast was very good. Scrambled eggs were cooked perfectly and the fruit was very fresh and lovely. I ordered the Filet Mignon Eggs Benedict, which had a perfectly poached egg and tasty hollandaise. However the steak was cold and with a warm English Muffin I just powered through. The Avocado Toast was very good and had a good flavor. Right now this isn't my first choice to eat. However, I could be talked into trying it again. I would just ordered something else besides the Filet Benedict
