It had been 2-3 years since we were here. It was great then but boy have things changed. It was not a busy time on a weekday morning. Server was off. The food was not seasoned at all not even the hash browns. Zero salt and I don't even like a lot of salt. Asked for hash browns crisp and they were just barley cooked. Asked for veggie omelet to be a Scramble instead, no problem but they forgot the cheese. When I mentioned she seemed put out and it came back with a barely warmed slice of swiss ploncked on top. My biscuit was delivered without butter, or jelly, or honey. Heaven forbid they ask of you want gravy with it. Shame on me for not driving the extra to an R & K cafe or Eggsquisite Cafe read more

Got breakfast. Came out about normal speed but they were not even moderately busy. Maybe 7 other tables. Home fries were not all the same consistency. The smaller ones were done while the normal to larger ones were way undercooked. You could feel it with a fork easily. CFS is from a box but didn't hear any complaints. Everything was okay. Nothing to call home about if you know what I mean. My only complaint was the floors. The tile on the trim around the place is the same tile on the floors and they are desperate need of a cleaning. read more

I eat at Sunny Street Cafe every time I am in Weatherford. The food has never been a disappointment and the staff are amazing. Portions are large and the food is always fresh. Breakfast is cooked per your preference - if you like your bacon "crispy", just say so and it comes out as specified. Want to be a bit healthier - have your side as fresh cut fruit instead of the hash browns (even though the hash browns are hard to beat). My toddler and I went to Sunny Street Cafe for a late breakfast. There was wait list but we managed to get a table within 10-15 mins. They have a cute Dino themed menu for kids. My son ate the Dino pancakes which was amazing filled with chocolate chips. I had their avocado eggs benedict, it was amazing and filling. A great place to grab breakfast or brunch. The portion is not too big but is enough to fill you up. There is a nice selection of jams on the table to go with your toast or biscuits. I don't get to Weatherford often and found Sunny Street based on the Yelp reviews when looking for a place to meet a friend for lunch. We were both very happy with the selection and had a wonderful time! The restaurant is clean and well-lit, the service excellent, and the food very tasty. I had the STF (spinach, tomato, feta) omelette with fruit and asked to sub hashbrowns for toast. (The waitress said the substitution was no problem but failed to mention I would be charged for the hashbrowns. Since that may have been an honest mistake when putting in the order, I won't count it against them.) Not only was our server friendly and attentive, she also let us linger uninterrupted for nearly an hour after we finished our meal, since my friend and I hadn't seen each other in ages and had lots of catching up to do. When we finally did wrap up, a different server who happened to be at the next table offered to make us beverages to go. So thoughtful! I came on a busy Saturday morning and there was no wait to be seated but there was a line after I left. The staff members are friendly and you can pay for your order at the kiosk up front. The restaurant is on the smaller side and true to the diner-look. I ordered the eggs benedict with easy poached eggs and added avocado for extra freshness with a side of hash browns. The hollandaise was not the smoothest i've ever had but you couldn't really a drastic difference in texture besides visually. I was pleasantly surprised at the hash browns: they were cut on the thicker side but fluffy and crispy on the outside, not super bland like most places. Overall, the meal was great! We came with high hopes based on the reviews. It was a slow morning due to the rain so that seemed to be a good indicator that the service would be attentive. We were seated instantly. Got hot coffee right away and made our order. It's a well-kept and clean building. But...it went downhill quickly. The refill on the coffee was stone cold. The food temp was cold. When we asked the server for hot coffee, we got an eye roll - always professional. We didn't even eat most of our food because it was cold. The pancake is advertised as "so pillowy you could lay your head on it". The opposite was true. It was flat, didn't rise, and was so cold the butter (which we had asked to have left off) never melted over the course of 10-15 minutes. The hash browns were deep fried and hard. The toast was cold and hard. We asked for the check, of course there was zero attention to any of these details, and before we could even sign the receipt and stand up, someone was all over us busing the table instead of allowing us to get up and leave first. That's how you say you want somebody to get out of your establishment without verbalizing it. When we got up to leave, we could see why our food was so cold. There were three employees standing in front of the pass, which was completely full of plates of food ready for pick up, just sitting there while they chatted. Had breakfast there this morning, based on YELP reviews. Angie our server was working hard and did a fine job. The coffee is good, so that's a great start. We had pancakes, the smothered hash browns and the corned beef hash. The wait staff does a excellent job of helping each other in getting the food out very quickly, so it's hot and fresh. My husband and I are new in town and we were looking for a great breakfast place. I ordered the waffles with the berry compote, eggs, hash browns and a side of bacon. The waffle was soggy and beery compote was just ok. The rest of my breakfast was what you would get at Dennys or IHOP. I was not impressed at all! My husband ordered the chicken salad sandwich. Upon coming in, I knew the place was good because the diner was filled with patrons. Their cinnamon roll pancakes were the best my son has ever had and he is a connoisseur of breakfast food. Their bacon was crispy to perfection...not greasy! Scrambled eggs were amazing...get them with cheese! English muffin was toasted perfectly and hash browns were soft but had a crunch!
