we visited on a Saturday evening around 6:00 pm we called about 30 before we arrived and were seated within minutes of our arriva. Hailey R was taking care of us. she asked if we had been there before, we had not. she made a few suggestions and we were ordering. couple of drinks, (well made) and broiled oysters. Hailey asked when they were gone if they were as good as we had at the beach. they were different but very good. I ordered the New York strip and my wife a hamburger. our meal arrived within 10 minutes of finishing our oysters.!.! Amazing.!.!. Brian or Bryan, maybe an owner or Manager? He was on point.!.! he stopped at our table several times, yes I said stopped. Asked if we had everything we needed and of course we did, Hailey was on point too.... Meal was over and Hailey mentioned desert, we were in. Dessert was great as well. We have multiple servers at multiple tables, ours is a young lady training Jacob. She is doing an amazing job. Thanks for your service. Now, on to this food, we got everything! Staff were great. I had a main entrée called the London broil, and it was quite good. I tried the oysters for an appetizer and coming from Texas. I was just disappointed because I couldn't find the oysters inside all of the topping. Oysters were let down however, the staff and the rest of the food and the craft beers made up for it. read more

We stayed right down the road being in town for a concert. This was the last place we had to try in the shopping center and it was delicious. The food was well priced and good portions. The southern burger was huge and the fries were crisp. My salad was good although there were way too many heaths of palm and bitter cucumbers. I noticed in the Huntsville area all of the cucumbers seemed to be extremely bitter. I opted for grilled chi Ken inside to have some protein. Half the chicken was delicious. When I brought it home and tried to eat it the chicken was extremely rubbery which was disappointing. Our server Christopher B was phenomenal made sure we had our food and ample drinks and even made sure we had everything packed to go. My only complaint was for a 70° night they had the air on full blast inside and it was soooo cold. read more

Went on a Friday evening before a concert and had no wait. The food was fresh and flavorful. We had the calamari for an appetizer and it reminded me of the same from longhorn. This was my first and last time at this restaurant. My food can out cold after waiting a super long time with my family. The waitress sent the manager over and he was rude. I also witnessed him talking to several customer and asking them if they needed anything. He walked past us several times and did not say a word. Tried this place for a second time. It was a much better experience, but my socks weren't knocked off. We were seated by the bar so there was a lot of foot traffic and were served by the bar tender. We started with the Louisiana egg rolls, which were delicious. I had the wings and fries. The Asian wings were absolutely delicious!! My husband had the she crab soup and it was not traditional she crab. I don't know what you'd call it. But it wasn't she crab. read more

For the night I got oysters as a starter and the chicken tortellini. Keep in mind that the menu for this night was a limited event menu. (I would have ordered the fried chicken sandwich if I could). Oysters - 3.5/5 The oysters were not fishy at all, however these oysters themselves were so tiny, I couldn't make out the breadcrumbs from the oysters. Chicken tortellini - 5/5 I really liked this dish. With a bit of black pepper on top it's perfect. It was perfectly creamy, and the chicken wasn't dry at all. Had the opportunity to visit Salt Factory on a Sunday night. Vibe was completely chill and not super busy; recommend Sunday nights for a good quiet dinner. Chatted with bartender Chase and Chef Nick Irwin, both great guys to have met. Chase makes a killer French75 and his service was impeccable. Nick stopped by and chatted with us between kitchen duties and he being the head chef in the kitchen. I had their chicken fried chicken and my gal had the Wedge salad with blue cheese dressing. Both meals were very very good and we will be back. Not to be confused with the Salt Smokehouse FYI. Ambiance was on point and we will probably check it out when they have live music on Thursday nights. Just go and hopefully you get lucky enough to meet Chase and Nick. First time eating in the restaurant, we previously had a great experience at the bar when Mel helped us. First, the food was very good, but the service was a bit of a disaster. Thankfully, Brian East saved the day! When we entered Salt, server Ami said to the host "he take the table" as it was about 7:30 pm. Salt was about 50% occupied. Server made us feel like it was an inconvenience for us being there. Didn't give us the main menus. When we had questions, Server did some unhygienic things by bending over and madly scratching at his ankles which made his pants fall to get a full view of his underwear. He was not wearing a belt. Server brought the meal and didn't come by to check on us, and I had to go retrieve pepper from a server station. Server then brought the check, 5 minutes after the entrees arrived --while we were in the midst of the meal--- effectively letting us know he wanted us to depart. No inquiries if we even cared for dessert. Fortunately, the on-duty manager stopped by to inquire how was our experience was going. Salt manager was asked to provide coaching to his staff member to improve his performance and representation of Salt. He graciously took the feedback. The salmon crunchy rice was epic, although a bit slow coming out of the kitchen ~ 20 minutes but I believe it is scratch made. We are going back thanks to management taking our concerns seriously. read more

The service was good, the waitress came quickly and checked on us often. I had the Thai beef risotto which was was good, rice was not overcooked and the dish had great flavor. The Mrs had the chicken fried chicken which was disappointing. The chicken was tough and the vegetables (green beans) were undercooked. That said, I would come back for another try. read more

What a neat place... Jack our waiter was amazing-we had a great time and he gave us numerous recommendations as none of us had ventured to the Salt Factory. I was there on business and I had a nice ice cold beer to start and we did sample the egg rolls to start. They were very unique and I enjoyed the seasoning as well as the presentation on the dish. Of course, there were three of us and four pieces so we arm wrestled for the last piece! My boss and I had the fish and chips. The cod was southern fried with a unique batter and sprinkle of Cajun seasoning. I enjoyed the crunchy batter and the cod was perfectly cooked. The fries were thin - I like thick cut to go with fish and chips. Our third member of the party ordered a burger his only comment was it was slightly overcooked. But said it too was a great burger! The service is spot on. No waiting about at the Desk. Hostess led us to our booth as requested. A waitresses was over shortly thereafter. The Manager, Brian came by and asked how we were doing? I told him no problems, everything was great. We ordered our food. My wife ordered the Shepherd Pie. We are from Ireland and we never get good Shepherd's Pie in the U.S. but this was excellent. I ordered the "Traditional" Burger, also excellent. I washed this down with a craft beer. Brian dropped by then to check in on us to make sure all was good. We told him, we will definitely be back. I was NOT impressed by this place...I wish I would've taken a picture of how terrible the oysters looked that we ordered for our table. Over cooked and dry, needed water after every one. If you have had Chargrilled oysters from New Orleans you are going to be HIGHLY disappointed here. read more

Reasonable ritz, says I. Salt Factory is a blend of upscale and downscale - not overpriced yet served with a flair. Our private room had multiple waitstaff assigned, each tending to all of our needs and answering any questions. Things weren't perfect - ice vs. no ice, lemon vs. no lemon as far as water goes - but maintained well. The public room feels like there's room for karaoke or similar there, not as formal as the lighting and decor otherwise suggest. Good beer selection on draught (their spelling). And the food? Solid. The she-crab soup comes with a good amount of crab inside, balanced creaminess, and a piece of bread to soak up remaining soup at the end. The calamari had a nice touch with peppers added to the fried mix, but I wish I had put off the calamari and waited for dessert, because I was too stuffed for the huge blueberry bread pudding or the chocolate brownie/cake, each with ice cream, and I'd had enough carbs for the creme brulee. But I saw what others were eating, and my tastes as plates were taken away all reflected well, except the eggrolls others got looked sparse. I tried the chicken tortellini across from me and it gets my thumbs up. My score is hovering between 4 and 5 stars for this place overall. I would have to try more of the menu to really give it a fair grade, and I don't live here. Since nothing really "wow"ed me, I will allow a strong 4 stars as my takeaway. read more

So my honey and I had a puppy free Saturday and decided to make the most of it. We are rarely in this area much less dog-free, so we/I decided for us to check out a new to us place for lunch. We've been aware of Salt Factory but hadn't made it out and upon reviewing their menu, I felt this would provide the most benefit for both of us. We ended up starting things off with the Broiled and Chargrilled oysters. Both were delicious! For entrees we had Hong Kong Salmon and Pan Seared Trout. Both were quite good and for some reason, we got the full sized Trout entree, it was a LOT of food. We also tried a number of cocktails, those names I can't recall. Our server was attentive and helped us navigate the menu options and was authentic and not too stuffy. The manager came by a few times to check on us too. All in all, we were very pleased by the entire experience. We'll definitely be going back and trying more dishes! read more

Everything is good but you need to get more variety in non alcoholic beers like Athletic, Sam Adams, etc, skip the Ultralights
