Came here to celebrate Father's Day with the hubby. I had the filet mignon and hubby had surf and turf. Then we ended with carrot cake. Food was delicious as usual. We have not been in a while but nothing has changed. The ambiance is very relaxing. The sound is low even with a packed restaurant and you can see the open kitchen to watch them cook as you enjoy your company. We had the most delightful server, Jackie. She gave us suggestions but also gave us time. We were also visited by the manager. This is always very nice to know that managers have their feet on the ground as well. Thank you for a spectacular time. We will be back!

Decided to celebrate my work service anniversary at the Steakhouse at the Hard Rock before the concert and my only dissatisfaction was my inability to eat more . It's an elegant decor inside, much fancier than my rockshirt and jean shorts should have been allowed. We had a reservation but they were able to seat us earlier which was wonderful. 1st, Our server Jaquie was beyond fantastic in all areas. She stayed on top of refilling drinks, bringing any condiments or utensils, and was overall superb. The food, was fantastic. We got the bread basket, which came with bone marrow butter and an assortment of different breads. While the bone marrow butter was rich and tasty, the breads, while good, in my humble opinion, the best bread was the rolls you get complimentary, so you can save a few $$ that way. Ordered the Pork Belly Appetizer which was a little crispier than I expected, but rich in flavor. Everything is a-la-carte, and knowing the steaks were going to be large, wife and I split an order of Brussell Sprouts, and Cheesy AuGrautin Potatoes. Sprouts were crispy, and in a vinaigrette, absolutely great. The Potatoes were cheesy, and packed with flavor. As for the steaks, my 24 oz Bone in Ribeye ordered medium Rare was such a work of art, I barely wanted to cut in to it. I got over that feeling real quick, steak was tender, juicy and so flavorful. I ended up bringing enough home that I was able to squeeze 3 more meals out of it. My wifes Porterhouse, was just as beautiful, just as tender and flavorful. To Cap off the evening, Jaquie brought me a complimentary slice of Carrot Cake for my service anniversary and it was maybe the best Carrot Cake I can recall having (my wife agreed as she pretty much commandeered the whole slice after I had a few bites. My wife was able to squeeze a few more evenings of dessert from the remains of the sizeable slice. When it came time to settle the check , process was easy, and Our server boxed all are numerous leftovers for us. All in all, and absolute fantastic evening of dining ! Thank you To all the staff, management and especially Jaquie for making my dining expereince a 10 star event.

Had the best experience at council oak steakhouse today! The restaurant itself is gorgeous and elegant looking! Our server ms Shelby was the best! Such a sweet lady that made our dinner awesome. Service was amazing! She was fun to chat with We ordered the ribeye and the pork chop with some mash potatoes and mushrooms as our sides. Oh and we ordered an order of scallops as an appetizer to share .. that was delicious! I would order that again! My pork chop was good and went well with the mash potatoes and mushrooms. Star of the meal had to be the awesome table side banana foster made by our waitress Shelby! She did and amazing job and no one lost an eyebrow! Such a fun little show and dessert. It's a must if you dine there!

This is the upper end Steakhouse restaurant in the Hard Rock Casino. The ambiance is very nice, and for the most part, known for the high quality aged steaks. The presentation and service is also high end, you are never rushed through your meal, and the servers are great. Today we chose the Sunday Special Prime Rib dinner for $39.99, accompanied with a salad, a dollop of mashed potatoes, two spears of asparagus, and a berry pie dessert. Any substitutions are an additional fee. We substituted a salad for soup at an additional $12.00 cost. The rolls are very good as well. Today, the prime rib was tough to cut and chew, even though there were a couple of big chunks of fat. It's usually pretty tender, and very good with the au jus and horseradish sauce. The asparagus was very fresh and was perfect. There were no substitutions for the dessert, and we didn't care too much for the baked berry dessert. The crust was hard, and not flaky, and not much berry filling on the inside, but the ice cream on top was very good. It's ice cream!

Visited this place as I ate the HardRock Council Oak in Ft Lauderdale and that was one of the best steak experiences I've ever had that I went back 3 days in a row. Well, visited the one here in NorCal and not the same experience. The service was good but not to the level I'm used for this kind of steakhouse. The steak was served almost lukewarm instead of hot which was a big let down. Didn't want to send it back since it had already been 50 mins since ordering it. The scallops were good and the seafood chowder was amazing! The sides were great as well. I will certainly want to go back and give it another try because I truly believe they could do better based on the experience at the other HardRock. I'm hoping they can make it up to us as we were celebrating Mother's Day and the experience was not to par and the level of excellence the council Oak had set in Fr Lauderdale

After a long day of being out and about we ending up at the delicious council Oak steakhouse at the Hard Rock Casino, We didn't have reservations, but we waited a few minutes and were able to sit in the bar area, which is really nice. The bartender that served us was really sweet and I really hope we get to see her again. She did a fantastic job! We ordered the prime rib and shared it and it was very tasty. We also ordered the seafood shouter which was exquisite. The sides we ordered were sweet potato and broccolini and they were absolutely marvelous. I cannot forget about the delicious scallops as well. At the end, we treat ourselves with the most delicious carrot cake. We had an amazing time at this steakhouse and love the way they had the restaurant decorated. Very fancy Schmanski. I definitely recommend the council Oaks steakhouse at hard rock Casino

Eight of us dined to celebrate a birthday. The service was excellent. Most of us ordered the 18 ounce ribeye. All were cooked to exact specifications and very tasty. One diner ordered the pork chop and said it was the best he had ever eaten. Another had the petite filet which was tender. I ordered the shrimp and grits, They were very flavorful and the grits were creamy. A couple ordered the baked potatoes and were pleased with them. The "jumbo" sweet potato with Jack Daniels butter was a big disappointment. It was wasn't much bigger than the filet and the JD butter was almost non-existent. The asparagus was really good. The complimentary rolls were very good but they came with about 1 tablespoon of butter for 6 rolls. The Millionaire Margarita was good but it was in a smaller glass than you would expect for a margarita. The birthday celebrant was given a complimentary creme brûlée and ice cream. We also had bananas foster. It was so delicious and worth every bite even though we were all stuffed. The ambiance was a quiet respite in a noisy casino. We were treated to a show owned by a couple feeding each other multiple bites. That was kind of cringy. We topped off a great dinner with successful slots.

Went for the prime rib, special blue out of the water. Any other one I've ever had perfect cook the flavor of the dry aged beef is incredible. Amazing service will definitely come here again. The inside is beautiful and classy, quiet, low lighting.

What went well? How about everything! Let's start with the ambiance. Elegant, stylish, classy and clean, it has a definite feeling of fine dining. The service was great, we were promptly seated in a great spot, the host immediately brought out water, menus and bread, Jackie our waitress quickly came over to introduce herself and take our drink and food orders .she and the staff were friendly and very attentive, definitely made you feel first class. The steaks (prime rib and rib eye) and drinks were absolutely delicious! Cooked perfect and I left there with the feeling of, I want to go back, dinner ended with a chocolate moose desert which was rich and delicious. Definitely worth every penny.

Always a great experience dining here! We've been here several times now and it's always been exceptional. You wouldn't know you're in a casino because it's tucked away and the interior is like all fine steakhouses with the best servers who tend to all your needs. On our last visit we ordered the Rib eye and mashed potato's to share. The steak was cooked perfectly and I have to say, we've never had an under/over cooked steak here. The manager came to our table and introduced himself to us. Our friends are regulars here so he wanted to make sure we had an exceptional experience. Highly recommended!

8oz Filet Mignon, Chimichurri, Baked Potato and Blueberry lemonade mocktail

I'm going to do everyone a "solid" and personally vouch for this place. I read through most of the good/bad reviews, and personally had my doubts. Only one way to find out!! Service - PHENOMENAL!!! The host was super attentive once she checked me in, and asked me some questions about my reservation/party. Nick was my server, and he was SO awesome! Super attentive, knowledgeable and sweet man. All the waitstaff were so nice, courteous and respectful. Jose, the famous manager that's been mentioned in the reviews, came to my table to ask about my dinner and evening. He was so nice, and his level of manners was SO appreciated. I was impressed! More restaurants should do this as at the end of the day it's the people and experience that compliment the dinning experience. Food - I ordered the Tandoori shrimp to start, which was a great appetizer for one person. It was as flavorful and light, which was ideal. My main entree was an 8oz Filet, cooked medium *chef's kiss* with a baked potato. Everything was cooked to perfection. The blueberry lemonade mocktail was so tasty as well, check it out if you can. Overall Experience: I made my reservation for 645pm knowing I had a show at 8pm with *some* wiggle room to be a little late. For one person, I was in and out right in about 1 hour or so. After dinner, I walked right over to the show event area and had perfect timing. If I came with a party of 2-4+ I'd budget 1.5-2 hours to enjoy the evening and have time for the larger cuts of steak (takes longer to cook/rest). Remember this is a fine dining experience, so anything rushed just sucks for everyone. Would I come here again? Absolutely. Yes it's a bit pricey ($125 including tip for 1 person), but that's what special occasions are for. Items Ordered: Tandoori Shrimp, 8oz Filet Mignon, Baked potato, and mocktail

We had a great time at Council Oak. They are really nice and polite and it was very kid friendly. We ordered the half chicken, salmon, Mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, and asparagus--all delicious and well cooked. The asparagus was nice and crispy and nothing was overly salty. Really enjoyed the environment as well as the decor. Very fancy and put together. We went a little bit casual and that ended up being okay. would recommend!

This was our first time at this steakhouse and our first time at Hard Rock for a concert. Justin took great care of us and helped us make great choices. I had the filet and my husband had the dry aged NY strip. Both were great as was the loaded baked potato. So glad we shared that! It was half price wine night so I had a half bottle for myself. We finished with the beignets which were tasty though a bit under and the coffee was great. It's a beautiful place and I felt the prices were very reasonable for the quality of the steaks. We will definitely be back before our next show!

So I was happy to find yet another Sacramento Valley gem away from usual touristy hot spots. I came for a special event with delicious sips, and samples of their menu. The versatile and styled ambience is perfect for a casual date, after work hangout spot, or an elevated wine tasting. Nothing pretentious here though, just lots of heart shown in the thoughtful decor, local art displays, and versatile seating - you can choose to saddle up to the bar, sit at a small table or high top with a group, or lounge in a conversation area of moveable velvet chairs for casual laughs with friends. The drinks are fun and imaginative. I sampled both the cowboy margarita that came with a cute hat decoration, and an Aperol spritz. Many of the guests raved about the mocktail options, such as their rendition of the Shirley Temple. For their size, they have a generous and well curated retail selection of wines, plus a cooler with craft beers and other beverages you can enjoy there or take home. For food they have a solid options of savory items that punch above typical bar food, such as the Croque Monsieur - that I helped myself to seconds of! - escargot, and bone marrow.
