I have eaten here before and it was fantastic so i was very disappointed today when i ordered lunch. I had a kale salad with chicken. Very little chicken and it was dried out. Ordered a noodle salad and there might have been 5 noodles on it. I hope this experience was a one-off but the food was also expensive so I won't be in a hurry to try it again. read more

Hidden away at a tennis club, but open to the public, Counter Culture serves fresh organic food. Vegan, vegetarian, gluten free, seafood and meat options. This makes it a perfect place for a party of people with different food preferences! On tennis playing days it can be quite busy but we came on a Friday night and it was very quiet. Our food was delicious; this was not our first time here and it will certainly not be our last! Really cute place not far from the beach. Plant-based and 'regular' fare. We had the veggie bambolini (which is a 12" pizza) and it was delicious! The crust (made in-house) is ah-may-zing! It would have been good business practice to apologize and extend us an olive branch. For the cost of one on the house meal with good service, they could have earned a very happy and steady customer. Great spot! Vegan options were tremendous. The Buffalo cauliflower with vegan dip and edamame dumplings were a great start! The French Dip was also spectacular. The environment was very casual with a big space (indoor and outdoor seating) with lots of tennis going on outside. The wait staff were very responsive and kind. Awesome casual and healthy spot in Vero! Lots of healthy and delicious options. It's open to the public (you don't have to be a member of the Boulevard to dine there). Just park in the general parking lot and go through the main doors and you will get to the restaurant area (it's just straight). We've only been for lunch and it hasn't been too busy. You order at the counter and your food is brought to your table. The veggie burger patty is my favorite! It's homemade and has loads of flavor. Think beans and spices but it stays together nicely. I know fries aren't the healthiest but I love their sweet potatoes ones. Another member of our party got the falafel salad with quinoa and veggie burger pieces, which I'll definitely try next time. I left with the brownie bites to try at home (they are gluten free and vegan) and those were quite amazing! Made with avocado and pretty decadent. My friends and I went to lunch for our friends 40th birthday and decided to look for a nice brunch/lunch spot with mimosa and a beautiful view. We were greeted by Matt, who was also our server. His customer service was so amazing. Matts recommendation was informative along with his kind demeanor. The menus were flexible, especially since we had 2 vegans and 1 non-dairy in our group. Mind you it was 6 of us. The brunch menu was creative and they also had a vegan menu. I order the flatbread off of the vegan menu along with calamari. I also ordered a salmon salad, which was superb! The salad was a good portion, I was able to snack on it later that evening. Towards the end of lunch Matt surprised us with a round of Sangia's to celebrate my friends birthday. The staff made the whole entire experience pleasant. Very welcoming and constantly checked to make sure we were okay. I was visiting the area with my parents and chose this restaurant as I am a vegetarian but they also like eating healthy. We all could find something to enjoy! Me and even my meat eating parents loved it! The chef even served us and it felt personable. When we ordered she told us she came up with the dressing for the Caesar salad and my only suggestion is too add more!! Also super refreshing to find a place that offers a plant based Caesar dressing!!! So rare. I didn't take a picture of the coffee or tea we also ordered which was delicious. If you do not read further, just know: RATS, HAIR, USED DISHES. Despite extremely slow service and a few mess-ups, had one nice experience here a couple of weeks ago and decided to come back with some other family members on 4/15/22. Not many people there and again, extremely slow service, one nice and efficient younger server however. To start, one member in our party was given a dirty appetizer plate. Not dirty as in the dishwasher didn't get everything- dirty as in it was never washed. Was grossed out for a sec but ok, things happen. Next, after a very long wait I took two bites into my sandwich to horrifyingly find a long, thick black hair. I gagged. My dad brought it back inside where the lady who seems to co-run the place and is a ditz says, "I don't know how that could've happened, our cook is bald." My dad can see straight back to the kitchen and there is a worker with a full head of dark hair and a beard with no hair net. Hello?! To culminate this unpleasantry, as my family is finishing their lunches, these teenagers about to play tennis started giggling and kicking and looking down at something on the ground a few feet away from where we were eating. We looked over only to see a motionless rodent with long tail right there in the middle of the dining area. It started moving a little bit, not dead yet. This other table of diners, also horrified, went inside to get someone. A tennis guy came out to look, tried to downplay it as a mouse with rabies (Idk how this would make things better?), but I'm from NY and there was no mistaking that thing for a RAT- probably dying from rat poison, meaning there are more around. The tennis guy went back in to get something to remove it with, he got a bag and a metal pan. The whole scene of him trying to grab it plays out in front of us. Other patrons saying "grab it by the tail!", the rat scampering in jagged directions, the tennis guy clearly afraid of it. It was absolutely horrifying. My dad went back inside to tell the woman he returned the sandwich to and she said "Is this your first time here? You really experienced everything today". Welp. We sure did. If you value your health, do not dine here. read more

My daughter and I were on an outing and needed to grab lunch. I am vegan and she is vegetarian. For her it is easier, but for me, not-so-much. We found this little gem tucked away. And we were not disappointed. The vegan options are plenty enough to satisfy. We even flubbed in our ordering process and they gladly corrected it with nary a complaint.
