This is often our Sunday go to brunch place. The restaurant has all Hispanic help Hispanic cooks, Hispanic waitresses, Hispanic cleaners and they do a marvelous job. Everything in this restaurant that I've ever ordered is top-notch and prepared exactly the way I want it and I'm fussy My wife's omelettes are always terrific And the help in this place is always energetic happy and very helpful. I can't say enough good things about it and it's an easy five star.

I stop in this location every couple months for breakfast, being its down the street from my office. Never had an issue here. Coffee is good. Food comes out hot and tasty and the ladies working here always very friendly. Interior set up Is your typical diner with a lot of cool knick knacks of sort on the walls to look at and talk about which is kind of cool.

Reuben, German potato salad, homemade coleslaw

I ordered the Reuben sandwich and German potato salad. What a delicious meal! The Reuben was the best I have ever had; tasty dressing and creamy sauerkraut, and the most tender sliced corned beef. The side of homemade creamy coleslaw was even yummy, and i normally don't even eat coleslaw.

First time here and felt welcomed right away. Worker held the door for us as we walked up and said sit wherever you like. Was busy at 12:30 on a Tuesday so ordered coffee and perused the menu. The place offers German food so wanted to try some things. I ordered the German sausage skillet w hash browns and eggs very good. Also had to try the cheese blintzes topped w warm black cherries wow they were tasty too Hubby ordered the schnitzel it was so tender and nice breading. Oh and the soup was ox tail and I said try it and he did the broth was so good and rich we bought some to bring home Really a nice friendly place we will go again

The food, service, and cleanliness has gone downhill in the last four years. I used to love this place, but it lost its touch. Such a shame.

We started with an enormous pretzel with yummy cheese and mustard dips. All of the food was as absolutely delicious and nice big portions. I think we could have shared one plate but maybe next time. We were too full to get one of their very appealing desserts. Our server, Elizabeth, provided excellent service as she was friendly and very attentive It was a pleasure and we will be back when we come back to town. Thank you for the great experience. German-American cuisine is an appropriate way to consider Edelweiss…read more Granted, take the salt with me saying i come from a German family so we can be wanting for traditional meals, so keep that in mind! First we can talk about the restaurant itself, very big! Huge bar when you walk in and tons of dining space, I can't imagine a day you can't get a seat for lunch or dinner so don't worry if you haven't planned ahead! The whole place is decorated very well and has a true feeling of Germany. Renee was our server and she was sweet, happy and incredibly attentive in a good way. She answered our questions and honestly we're very accurate. We started with a pretzel Ofcourse, it was fresh warm and we could have had two easily! I decided to try their sauerbraten, I will say, it's nearly not sour enough for me. It was on the sweeter end but I have a feeling they try to gear the meals towards more people Enjoying them, it wasn't for me however unfortunately The dessert was sadly another let down. My favorite cake is black Forrest and it was far from traditional. Overall. I will still give the restaurant a decent rating as I think many other people will truly enjoy the food here, but for someone who grew up in a German household, spent time in Germany and ate from the homeland quite a bit, it simply wasn't for me.

The woodwork with the tables are sturdy and was fun that the resin pour there were lil sharks in the table. So fun. Now the food. Very reminiscent of the Polish restaurants I remembered going to as a child with family on the South side of Chicago. Their house made bread with butter was very good. My husband got a beer and liked it so much he got bottles to go. He had gotten the breaded pork chop stuffed with cheese. I got pierogi and sides of fried cabbage and the sweet and sour beets. Would recommend all of it and would get it all again! Looking forward to our next visit.

A True Gem for Polish Cuisine Lovers!…read more We had the pleasure of visiting Delight Wish on a Thursday night, and what a fantastic experience! Our party of two was seated right away, with no wait, making for a relaxed and enjoyable evening. The ambiance is warm and inviting, and I absolutely love the huge wooden tables--plenty of room to spread out all your plates and truly savor the meal. Their drink selection is impressive, featuring a great variety of European beers, wines, sparkling wines, and classic Polish/Eastern European liquors. I ordered a Prosecco (they offer convenient, single-serving bottles--such a great touch!), while my friend opted for a Perła (Polish beer) with raspberry syrup. If you've never tried this combination, I highly recommend it! It's a nostalgic taste of Polish summers--a crisp Polish lager or pilsner with a hint of raspberry syrup. For food, I ordered the sauerkraut and mushroom pierogi, while my friend chose the potato and cheese (ruskie) pierogi. We both had them fried to perfection and served with sour cream on the side. Absolutely delicious! I also added a side of beets with horseradish (a perfect complement to the pierogi) and a serving of bigos (hearty and flavorful--just as it should be!). The prices are reasonable, the portions generous, and the flavors authentic. Plus, while you're there, you can pick up Polish bread, candy, chocolates, and chips to take home, making it a perfect spot to stock up on your favorite treats. I'll definitely be back--and if you're in the area, this is a must-try!
