This is our first time here since management changed. It's looks cleaner than it used to-freshened up. The menu has changed, and not for the better. We came here for years and the food was great! I always got the Greek Omelette. Guess what's not on the menu anymore?? The ingredients aren't on the menu, so I can't even order it. The goetta omelette is missing, too, but at least those ingredients survived that you might be able to order it. There was no Kid's Menu either on the regular menu or on a separate one. We had a 6 year old in tow, and no one mentioned what the kid's options were (BTW: a drink, an egg, a meat and a pancake). There were a couple requests for well-done pancakes, home fries and neither were as requested. Overall the food was fine excepting the requested items being cooked the way we wanted. The piece of meat on my daughter's breakfast was 4 pieces of bacon. Would I come here again? I don't know. I'm still irritated about my favorite thing being unavailable and that was the main reason I came here. read more

Some people like this place but for me both breakfasts with eggs being part of what I ordered the eggs smelled rotten. I had to order a pancake after that. Do not know if this is still true today. Service is excellent. Plenty of parking. Tables nicely separated for Covid protection. Open for lunch also. No dinner. Inexpensive. With McDonalds dining room closed, lots of senior citizen groups. The menu says the fried chicken is worth the wait (it takes about 20 minutes) and it is TOTALLY worth the wait. The cornbread is delicious and the chili came out piping hot and yummy. Went today. New owners took all of the food off the menu that made it worth going. They didn't update the website. I came expecting to order those items and NONE of what we wanted was on the menu. All reviews said the cost was low and the portions large. Not under the new owner. High prices and small to regular portions. Saw people eating things not on the menu. Heard people ordering food not on the menu. Place is a train wreck. My kids blt was burnt and the bacon was so thin it just crumbled into itty bitty pieces all over the place. Do not go here if you want good food made from scratch. The waitress also came to the table with the check at the same time she brought the food. I wasn't eating and went ahead and gave her my card. She came back within minutes and asked for the signed copy back. Didn't ask if we needed anything else. Had to ask for a to go box. She never came back. So not only is the menu wrong, the food too expensive, and cooked poorly but I have NEVER had a waitress come back for a check with full plates on the table and people still eating. This little dive is located off 125 in Amelia. A small one story ranch that has an inviting staff and good breakfast! The space itself is as the name suggest very country and exactly what you would expect from a small diner. There is a large t.v. In the main dining room and booths and tables lining the space. Every time I go in the place is packed so sometimes you are sat at a dirty table while the server goes to grab a towel to wipe it down. Very family friendly atmosphere. The breakfast is delicious and quick! Toast, eggs, biscuits and gravy and my dads favorite- lots of jelly! The one time I ate here for lunch I was not impressed. I recommend an early start to enjoy this place. Overall a great community restaurant. read more

Food was ok except eggs were cooked wrong and the scrambled eggs were dirty looking. Waitress asked if everything was ok and we explained as she looked and agreed and then walked off after laying the bill on the table. Manager apologized and stated oh this generation. Manager was going to remove the cost of the eggs only . Manager apologized again and said sorry the the transaction was completed and that she couldn't change the bill so we still paid for food we couldn't eat. A local mom and pop for sure. We just moved to the east side and wouldn't think of going anywhere else. We pass a few of the big-chain restaurants on the way. Nothing fancy but good breakfast and the biscuits and gravy are really good. My personal favorite is their potato cakes. Somehow half of my order seems to find their way onto my husbands plate. We've tried a number of breakfast plates but never seem to get back for lunch. Service is good too. All servers seem to help each other out to make sure your coffee cup isn't allowed to get too low. read more

My husband and I have eaten at this Country Inn Restaurant twice since it changed management. The chicken tenders, grouper, and cod are all lightly breaded, perfectly seasoned and perfectly cooked. The tasty homemade tarter sauce for the fish is unique with crunchy pieces of pickles. The French fries are thick cut, crispy outside and creamy on the inside--just how we like them. Our hot foods were served piping hot and the cold foods well chilled. The restaurant is very clean, nicely decorated, and comfortable. It has a lovely country atmosphere and the service is excellent and attentive. We do wish they were open for dinner hours, but the food and service are so good that we will make it a point to go for a late lunch. read more

The people who run Country Inn are insanely rude. I ordered through DoorDash and waited over an hour. The poor driver went all the way there and they refused to make the order because they said "we don't do DoorDash on the weekends" which is strange because the app let me do it. I'm home alone with a newborn which is why I ordered through a delivery service in the first place. The employee then told me that I could call in a pick up order. What is the difference??? We have come here for years and always enjoy the breakfasts. We came today on Easter Sunday and it was good but also a little disappointing. My one son wanted a 3 way, but they were out of spaghetti at noon. Then he wanted goetta like my other son, but they don't allow goetta as a meat choice on the kids mickey pancake breakfast. A kid should be able to have any meat choice, so that seemed silly. We were able to get a regular meal for them to split which was fine but again they should allow them to get goetta with their meals. Then I wanted eggs Benedict and they were out of hollandaise. I chose to get a breakfast burrito with goetta. It was alright, but the queso is too overwhelming in flavor. Some shredded cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese would have been more fitting. My Husband and I took a chance trying Country Inn for breakfast, and we weren't disappointed one bit. Walking in it reminds you of showing up at a family members house for a meal, welcomed immediately, really friendly servers, the selection is great with so many options, and it all looked excellent on paper. When the food arrived, I was shocked how much there was, and let me tell you, it was just as delicious as it looked!
