Country pride is a truck stop diner and not all that great as far as the food goes. Fairly average maybe even a little below average. Added gravy for my biscuit and hardly any gravy and not worth the cost. Waitress was nice and service was fast so that is a plus. Location itself is pretty old and dated and definitely shows its age. Our truck broke down and was at the TA Service Center that is on site. We ended up spending a few days here and ate at the Country Pride several times. The first night it was late when we arrived. Many of the others we've been at close by 11pm. We were surprised and very happy to find this one is open 24/7. It was too late for the buffet, so we ordered from the menu. I ordered the sliced beef sandwich. It was huge and really good. We ate here three other times. Twice for breakfast and once for dinner. Overall, service was very good. We had a different server each time. They all were polite and attentive. The breakfast buffet hit the spot! Coffee was fresh and they kept it full. There were eggs on the buffet, but you can also ask for eggs cooked to order from the kitchen. We did. Both times they came out perfect. Nice variety on both breakfast and dinner buffet. Breakfast had both bacon and ham. One of the days was fried bologna instead of ham. Dinner included the salad bar. Prices were reasonable as well. read more

We used to have a Country Pride back in Commerce City Colorado, but some time ago it was shut down. So we were on vacation from Denver and decided to stop in for a bite to eat since we literally got out of their "rush hour". After we got in, the ladies from the git go, amazing! Definitely friendly and talkative (which is a good thing). God forgive me, but the one who served us last night definitely made sure to keep our cups full and did complement our youngest on her outfit. The ladies from last night are the ones that we definitely need anymore. Amazing customer service with a smile. We were there pretty late at night ... huge trucks parked outside, a few truckers eating inside. It seems waitresses are "!used to serving truck drivers" ... "rough around the edges" but friendly. Our orders included, bacon cheese burger (can't go wrong with that) and my husband had pot roast w/ mashed potatoes & salad bar. All was ok, nothing special about this place. Just trying different places to eat while visiting LA and other southern CA areas. Probably would not return. read more

Just a diner at a truck stop... how very Americana. But this diner is pretty darn good (way better than Denny's, IHOP, etc.), with good value behind the cheap prices. I've been here twice now and haven't been disappointed. The first time I had the chicken-fried steak dinner, and it was better than average... crisp, moist, and gravy was good. Came with steamed veggies, side salad, and bowl of soup. All for 9.99. The 2nd time I had their buffet, which was better than Hometown. There was brisket, ham, and very good fried chicken, along with a salad bar and 2 soups. The buffet is 10.49 for AYCE. Finally, have the sweet tea! It's perfectly sweet, and not over. Plenty of parking. And remember that it's located in the TA stop on the western side of Milliken. The wait staff are overly nice. Oh... and open 24 hours! That may sound silly and simple, but do you have any idea how many chefs fail at making those simple, yet delicious breakfast treat? Tons of them fail!! Mm the food was superb!! Not sure what's going on with this location but new management needs to be brought in. Went in twice yesterday to sit down for a meal. Lunch was off but they were busy so we dismissed it as that. Both orders were slightly wrong bit not enough to bother the waitress about it. And then late night we went in for dinner. Place was just about empty except a few drunk drivers. Placed our orders, comes out the first time and when it gets to the table i ask the waitress what it is. I ordered a turkey melt and they put a breakfast sausage in front of me. She apologized and went to have what i ordered made. 15 minutes or so later they bring out a cold turkey sandwich and this time load it up with raw onions. Onions do not come on their turkey melt nor is a MELT served cold. By this time i call the manager over and he wants to go cook the meal himself for the third time. By this time we have been sitting in the booth for about a hour listening to drunk idiots hit on the waitresses and everyone else at our table is done and ready to go. Very frustrating experience to say the least. I'll order in uber eats for the rest of the time I'm staying here. read more

It's a truck stop right! 24 hours with an all you can eat menu. The chicken fried steak is a staple I am sure as is the fried chicken.(for dinner only!). The breakfast all you can is decent and certainly good food value if your hungry! Better than Hometown Buffet in my opinion. Salad bar is adequate but nothing to bring to go about! It was featured on Feasting on Waves "California or Bust." We stopped by in the dead of night and the service was kind and gentle. The food was superb and service was excellent. It's really a giant leap above Denny's and Hometown Buffet when you want some good American eats. They have buffet deals as well so that's pretty awesome. Inexpensive. Absolutely disgusting. Ive been coming in here for years, but its gotten to the point of absolute DISGUSTING! The TA should be ashamed to serve us this crap and charge us for parking. The food was burned, mushy veggies, dried out rice, cucumbers on salad bar look like they had been frozen and were translucent now, meat could not be identified...pork, if thats what it was, was multiple colors from grey to red, fried chicken was so dry on the inside and burned on the outside, it was just disgusting. Beans had a dried crust over them as did the mashed potatoes. Just gross and unhygenic. They used to make roasts and other cuts of meat, and cut them in front of you, but apparently were not worth it. Oh, but you charged 2 of us nearly $30 bucks. No more from me your not. read more

I'm always pleasantly surprised when I eat here. I've been here many times for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Each time, regardless of what I order, the food is always fresh made and very tasteful! The hostesses, especially the overnight hostess, are very pleasant and friendly. They really do make you feel at home. After a long day of driving, it's always nice to sit and relax and just enjoy good food at really good prices! Plus, their selection of foods are wide and cover most tastebuds wants. I've yet to tire of any of their menu items. Keep up the great work! A side note: the only negative I have is that, unfortunately, this great restaurant is part of a travel center that employs some of the rudest people you will ever run into. Example: they have a long sales counter. Above each sales register, approximately 6 of them, are different signs for different amenities the customer may need, such as faxes, diesel fuel, parking, etc. With all of these signs, they still insist on only one line for all of the customers! If a customer pays attention to the signs with the arrows pointing straight down, and moves to that register, they are immediately met with a verbal, nasty scolding by the employees, and the taunts of customers who obviously already know how useless those overhead signs are! The employees in the travel center are rude, lazy, slow, and very unprofessional. They are the exact opposite of the restaurant staff. I can safely assume that the restaurant loses business because of the rude staff at the travel center. I won't even begin to tell you about the parking and fuel islands there! I like the breakfast buffet and I usually go on the weekends. A very good selection of food on the buffet plus you can have eggs and toast to order on the sides. The waitress staff are very nice and friendly there. It's about $10.00 a person all you can eat. You can take food out too. I think it's weighed $3.99 a pound at the check out. Left without eating after 40 minutes. I was sitting in the booth after ordering a burger and fries. Nothing special just like it was on the menu. I watched the burger go to the window and sit ther for 20 minutes getting cold and dried out. The waitress tried to no avail to deliver the burger to the wrong customer. Back to the window. Finally after realizing wher the burger belonged the waitress brought it to the table. I refused the burger and asked for a fresh one after stating that I saw it sit in the window for 20 minutes and she had tried to deliver it to the wrong customer. I was told its ok the other customer never touched it. I refused and insisted on a fresh one. After 20 more minutes a fresh burger arrives. Good for me right they listened and fixed the problem. Wrong they brought me the wrong burger. Needless to say at this point I refused to let them make another mistake. I paid for my lemonade and left. Way to go staff. While the unlimited fish Friday is pretty good (excluding the dried out rice), we were very disappointed in the buffet for Christmas day. We thought it looked pretty good but once we started eating it was clear that the food was really old. The bread was stale and dry, the ham was dry (like jerky) and there was no PIE?! Only dried out nasty cake and bread pudding. All for $13.99, plus the cost of a drink. What a waste. Go to the Luxe Buffet down the street for what looks like better food. read more
