Blackened Chicken Combo with Fried Rice. Really good!
    Melinda L.

This is probably the best value of a meal if you don't feel like the other options nearby are going to do it for you. Located inside the Ontario Mills mall Food Court, Kellly's Cajun Grill is a nice spot to get some pretty delicious Cajun-style chicken. I have tried both their Bourbon Chicken as well as their Blackened Chicken - both are good, just depends on where you want something sweeter (Bourbon) or something more charcoaled (Blackened). Either choice will give you a choice of rice and boiled vegetables. At my recent visit, I was debating on which type of rice to get. Normally, I would go for the Black Bean Rice, which is a little bit more on the blander side, but at this visit, I saw the Fried Rice. I asked the guy on the line and he just pointed at the Fried Rice with the greatest certainty (haha...) and I was like O.K., let's try this one. Result: go for the Fried Rice. It's soooo good! There's about a dollar difference between the Bourbon and Blackened Chicken. The Bourbon is the extra btw. But combos are about $12-$14 (tax included), depending what you order. You may have leftovers, as the portions are quite huge here. So can feed two people, possibly. Worth a visit and a good value meal, will come back again for sure when I'm at the mall.

Food always have consistent flavor. Food court food but the bourbon chicken is the best! Sauce is a bit sweet for some people but it was perfect for me when mixed with the rice. I'm drooling again as I am typing this. Service is fast. Portion is huge. A lot of seats in the mall to sit down and enjoy the food.

I stumbled upon this spot in the food court that some reviewers seemed to love and other...well, lol Nonetheless, I decided to give this place a try. I ordered the honey glazed chicken, bourbon chicken, with a side of chow mein and steamed veggies. The girls taking my ordered helped with recommendations and explained how it worked. Similar to ordering at Panda tbh. Spoiler alert: it was bomb. The bourbon chicken was like grilled chicken that had been whispered sweet nothings by brown sugar and soy sauce, tender, smoky, and just enough kick to keep things interesting. The honey glazed chicken? Imagine orange chicken's cooler, more balanced cousin who doesn't try too hard. Sweet, sticky, and flavorful without that overpowering syrupy vibe. The sides? Chow mein that didn't taste like it had been sitting in a tray all day (a small miracle), and steamed broccoli and cabbage that made me feel like I was making responsible choices lol Despite some Yelp pessimists, my taste buds and I left fully satisfied. Moral of the story: if you need a break from draining your bank account at Ontario Mills, this spot is a flavorful pit stop that delivers. Would I recommend? Absolutely. Would I go back? Definitely.

Pretty good food. The bourbon chicken was sweet and the fried rice spicy was spicy which was a good mix and appreciated all the veggies.

After walking around Ontario Mills, this was such a cool spot to stop at and enjoy a nice solid meal. The mall itself was pretty busy but the line at this place wasn't and it did not take long to go through and get the food. As you go through, you choose which sides and protein you'd like. I thought they gave a good portion of food! I don't eat a lot and was able to save half for the next day, and my boyfriend was able to eat the whole plate! The protein options we got were really flavorful, especially the pepper chicken!! It was actually really flavorful and probably some of the best pepper chicken I've had! The only reason I give 4 stars is because we both thought the rice could have been a little more flavorful for our own tastes, but it was still really good and I would definitely go back. If you ever get the chance, I recommend trying this place out!

I usually don't post reviews for food at the mall like this, but anything for kellys!! I don't even know how many years it's been since my family and I discovered this place, but I'm pretty sure it's been over a decade. My family and I visit Ontario Mills once or maybe twice a year, and when I tell you this is what I look forward to most... This place is only available for me at this mall, and it's soo yummy! (Kelly is you're seeing this please expand to more locations TT) I get the same order every time, and they gave such a good portion today! The Honey Glazed Chicken was crispy, the Bourdon Chicken was nicely marinated and tender, and the Fried Rice was yummy as always. Everything is so yummy, and service is quick of course. I highly recommend if you're ever in the area!

Much better than Panda Express but not by much, really. Not as many options and the price is pretty steep for what you get. Their famous for the bourbon chicken - meat was tender but the sauce is pretty salty to me. Husband got the honey glazed chicken, which is breaded and akin to orange chicken at panda. Service was fine. Food area looked clean.

035/2024 This grill eatery is located at the Market Food Court inside The Ontario Mills Mall. The chicken bourbon kinda tickled my palate to give it a try. And I surely did and wasn't disappointed!! Chicken meat was tender and flavored with the sweetness of the borboun sauce. Combo came with sides of rice and vegetables medley! Will surely try the steak later !

On my way home from Carvana PPA Tour in Palm Springs today, I dropped by Ontario Mills to pick up dinner for my daughters and me. I have always enjoyed Kelly's Cajun Grill #1 Bourbon Chicken with rice and veggies. So that's what I got tonight. The lady just packed the box with multiple scoops of chicken and good portions of rice and veggies... shall I say up to the brim! Yes, I shall! Thank you miss! My tummy thanks you, too! LOL Atmosphere was a bit noisy since it's located in a food court. Fortunately, the line wasn't too long. I went up to cashier and paid for my food. Staff was nice and pleasant. I asked for a cup of water and they were happy to provide it. Afterwards, I was on my way to the next food stop LOL. I don't know what they put in their Bourbon Chicken... it's amazingly and addictively tasty... hands down!!! Thank you Kelly's Cajun Grill for sharing your delicious foods with us!!! I will be back for more the next time I'm at the Ontario Mills.

This restaurant is inside the Ontario Mills Mall food court. You can usually find a seat even when it is pretty busy. It can get fairly loud when it is pretty busy. There are a number of large tables for big groups. Like most mall food courts there are restaurants with food from several different ethnic backgrounds if you are not excited about Cajun food. The mall lot does get pretty packed, but it is a huge lot and you can usually find a spot with a long walk even when it's very crowded. The servers here were just ok. They are nicer than many fast food places, but not super friendly, helpful, and efficient like some of the best take out places. Their food and order system is just like Panda Express and so much so that we wondered if they have the same owner. You pick rice or noodle to go with a protein and a vegetable in a sectioned takeout box from a buffet style layout served by the employees. We got the bourbon chicken and black pepper chicken respectively with chicken fried rice (.70 cent surcharge on our visit over regular rice) and noodle. Everything was just ok, not bad, not super terrific. The bourbon chicken tasted like Chinese char siu (bbq pork) and the black pepper chicken had a stronger pepper flavor, but similar to the same dish at Panda. Overall, the Yelp 4 star average on our visit is probably about right. One must remember that 2-3 stars is good for fast food on Yelp, under 2 means avoid, and over 3 is very good. We are not dying to go here again, but we would eat here again and recommend you give them a try to see if you like them.

I love this place. I can safely say i been coming here almost as long as Ontario Mills Mall has been open. It's like 21+ years or longer. Every time i am in the area, i hope and pray that this place is still there. I couldn't help myself and drove by recently, realizing they are still up and running and busier than ever, which made me more than happy. I love their bourbon chicken, noodles, and fried rice combo. On the menu, it's a #1, but you can modify it any way you like. I recommend the chicken fried rice upgrade. I introduced it to my girlfriend, and she now wants to know how to create this magical bourbon chicken. I would easily drive 30 miles to taste the beauty that is this chicken. Ambiance wise, you are in the middle of a food court, inside one of the largest malls. The food is always fresh and will be served very quickly. If you love cajun food or bourbon chicken, i recommend doing what i do and grab extra combo plates to take home for later. U hope this place stays open another 20 years... and i would still be coming back for more.

I've been going here for 15+ years. They were never stingy with their food. While I was in line they were filling up other orders. When I requested them to add more like the other customers they said it will be $5 extra but nobody in line was paying that. She was super rude. The guy was giving people spoon fulls after I left for the same entree I ordered. Will never be returning.

Our usual order is 1lb of shrimp and 1lb of mussels, and we've always been happy with it. This time, we decided to try the Combo #2 because we wanted to add crab legs. We ordered three combo bags, each with shrimp, mussels, and crab legs. Unfortunately, it didn't feel like there was anywhere close to 1lb each of shrimp and mussels in the bags. I can't prove it, so I can only share our experience, but it honestly felt like there were fewer than 15 shrimp in the bag. For the first time ever, we finished our meal and were still hungry afterward. Based on this experience, I wouldn't recommend ordering the combo bag. Not only did it seem like there was significantly less food, but with all the ingredients piled together, some items ended up overcooked. We were really disappointed because we've had consistently good experiences with multiple locations here over the years. Hopefully this was just an off day, but we'll be sticking with ordering the seafood separately next time.

Compared to places like The Boiling Crab or Kicking Crab, it lacked the buttery, garlicky, and savory flavor we were looking for. Unfortunately, the sauce was the main reason my kids and I didn't enjoy the seafood. Since the sauce is such an important part of a seafood boil, it really affected our overall experience. AMBIANCE 5.5/10…read more After spending way too long trying to decide what to eat, we finally settled on seafood boil and landed on The Big Catch because of their all-you-can-eat option. Walking in, our first impression wasn't great the building looked a little run down. Once inside, though, the vibe improved. It had a rustic sports bar feel with TVs everywhere, an open bar, and a seafood station. Nothing fancy, but not terrible. EXPERIENCE 7/10 The service was one of the better parts of the visit. Our waiter was friendly, attentive, and took the time to answer our questions and recommend a few items. The food took a little while to come out. BTW there's a 90 minute limit after we were seated and the second round of our seafood took 30 minutes to come out (they apparently forgot our order) and they proceeded to tell us we had last call right after our second round of food barely got to the table. Not sure if that's done on purpose but we really didn't really appreciate that. Overall though, the staff definitely made the experience better. THE FOOD 5/10 Here's where things started to fall apart. The first all-you-can-eat platter came with two snow crab clusters, 1/2lb crawfish, 1/2lb mussels, 1/2lb peeled shrimp, plus unlimited sides. One thing that caught us off guard and maybe we just missed it on the menu is that after your first round, you can no longer order the snow crab or peeled shrimp. That was disappointing since those ended up being the best seafood options on the table. The snow crab was solid, and the peeled shrimp were surprisingly good the texture was crunchy and we didn't get any fishy smell or flavors. Everything after that... not so much. Round two included whole shrimp, clams, and scallops. The portions were noticeably smaller, and almost everything tasted like it had been frozen for too long. The crawfish lacked freshness, the whole shrimp had the same issue and were mushy without the initial crunch additionally the shrimp was hard to peel which makes us think that it was POSSIBLY reheated, and the scallops were tiny with a strong fishy flavor that made them hard to enjoy. Even the House/Cajun seasoning didn't do much to save it. It was too oily and honestly just tasted like salt, there was no spiciness either and we got the hot flavor. Ironically, the sides ended up carrying the meal. The cucumber salad was fresh and crunchy, which balanced out some of the heavier seafood, and the sweet potato fries were honestly one of our favorite things we ordered. And one last thing... somehow even the water tasted off. What We'd Order Again Snow Crab Clusters Peeled Shrimp Fish Taco Sweet Potato Fries Cucumber Salad Sausage Corn Skip These Whole Shrimp Clams Mussels Scallops Crawfish House/Cajun Seasoning Cajun Fries Cajun Wings Boiled Egg Water Final Rating If you're going for the all-you-can-eat seafood, don't expect premium quality. The first round is decent, but once the crab and peeled shrimp are off the table, the meal drops off pretty quickly. Would we come back? Definitely not. We ended up paying 90$ for 2 people which you can argue is good since it's an AYCE seafood meal but afterwards after speaking to the waiter we found out the shrimp and crawfish was indeed frozen that along with all the other disappointing food doesn't make us feel like it was worth the money. Overall Gassington Rating: (5/10)

HOUSE PAN ROAST It tasted exactly what was expected. A creamy tomato soup consistency and flavor. Got level 2 or 3 for spice level. I wanted more of that creamy flavor, not spice. Any higher than 3 would be Tabasco level spice and up. Deliciously filled with shrimp, chopped scallops, small crab meat. I could taste the crab meat, which was all sitting at the bottom of the bowl. The scoop of jasmine rice with the creamy pan roast was comfort on another level. Got the small size, but it is enough for me. I do wish there were more shrimp and scallops and crab in the pan roast. I felt the scallops and crab were chopped too small and wished there was a bit more. But still I enjoyed the pan roast and would get it again. As an appetizer and accompaniment to the house pan roast, they bring a basket with three sliced breads and a side of butter. It's a light, soft bread with a bit of sour flavor. Didn't like it. I would have preferred dinner rolls. CUSTOMER SERVICE I arrived 1 hr before lunch closing time. It closes at 2:00pm and then re-opens for dinner at 5:00pm. But service was good! Only one server, but she checked back with everyone and all around better than most places I've been at recently. Lots of people came in 30-40 mins before closing time. Hey Jackson, Instead…read moreof giving me an imaginary prize for being relentless, I would much rather appreciate your business taking accountability for the really poor service I had to experience in order to get a basic refund as a result of a mistake that was clearly from your restaurant. I can definitely be more upfront about my dietary needs moving forward when ordering, but even your employee admitted over the phone that chicken is not automatically part of the item that I ordered. If your staff wanted to add chicken to an item that should be seafood only, perhaps they should have asked if I was okay with that. After communicating with your employee about my concerns, I realized that the mistake on the food was secondary compared to the horrendous service I experienced when I shared my concerns. In your reply, you failed to mention anything regarding customer service that I mentioned, so let me say these facts again. I was hung up on several times over the phone, ignored multiple times when I showed up in person the next day, pressured to sign a claims release in order to get the refund, then was told I was an inconvenience to your business. Another fact is I lost my appetite after tasting your food yet was essentially called a liar when I came in the next day because I didn't appear sick to your employee. I cannot believe that is how your employee was allowed to treat a customer and I honestly hope you had a serious conversation with them. For the record, I was signed out of my main account for several months and did leave a review on a temporary account. Once I gained access to my main account, the review on my temporary account got deleted because that account got deleted. I operate on only one account and needed to re-write any reviews that got deleted. Looks like someone reported my review for your business, so I did revise it to better follow yelp's guidelines. Therefore, it is absolutely not an exact duplicate of the previous review. The real impact here is not only the loss of appetite, but also how I was treated after I raised concerns. It really was one of the most horrendous experience with restaurant staff. I will never again feel comfortable stepping inside your restaurant that is careless enough to scoop an item that was already made with chicken in it instead of making a fresh one with only seafood then try to pressure a customer to sign a claims release to protect yourselves. Nice try, but I'm not falling for that and neither should anyone else.
