Pretty good food. The bourbon chicken was sweet and the fried rice spicy was spicy which was a good mix and appreciated all the veggies.

I stumbled upon this spot in the food court that some reviewers seemed to love and other...well, lol Nonetheless, I decided to give this place a try. I ordered the honey glazed chicken, bourbon chicken, with a side of chow mein and steamed veggies. The girls taking my ordered helped with recommendations and explained how it worked. Similar to ordering at Panda tbh. Spoiler alert: it was bomb. The bourbon chicken was like grilled chicken that had been whispered sweet nothings by brown sugar and soy sauce, tender, smoky, and just enough kick to keep things interesting. The honey glazed chicken? Imagine orange chicken's cooler, more balanced cousin who doesn't try too hard. Sweet, sticky, and flavorful without that overpowering syrupy vibe. The sides? Chow mein that didn't taste like it had been sitting in a tray all day (a small miracle), and steamed broccoli and cabbage that made me feel like I was making responsible choices lol Despite some Yelp pessimists, my taste buds and I left fully satisfied. Moral of the story: if you need a break from draining your bank account at Ontario Mills, this spot is a flavorful pit stop that delivers. Would I recommend? Absolutely. Would I go back? Definitely.

After walking around Ontario Mills, this was such a cool spot to stop at and enjoy a nice solid meal. The mall itself was pretty busy but the line at this place wasn't and it did not take long to go through and get the food. As you go through, you choose which sides and protein you'd like. I thought they gave a good portion of food! I don't eat a lot and was able to save half for the next day, and my boyfriend was able to eat the whole plate! The protein options we got were really flavorful, especially the pepper chicken!! It was actually really flavorful and probably some of the best pepper chicken I've had! The only reason I give 4 stars is because we both thought the rice could have been a little more flavorful for our own tastes, but it was still really good and I would definitely go back. If you ever get the chance, I recommend trying this place out!

I usually don't post reviews for food at the mall like this, but anything for kellys!! I don't even know how many years it's been since my family and I discovered this place, but I'm pretty sure it's been over a decade. My family and I visit Ontario Mills once or maybe twice a year, and when I tell you this is what I look forward to most... This place is only available for me at this mall, and it's soo yummy! (Kelly is you're seeing this please expand to more locations TT) I get the same order every time, and they gave such a good portion today! The Honey Glazed Chicken was crispy, the Bourdon Chicken was nicely marinated and tender, and the Fried Rice was yummy as always. Everything is so yummy, and service is quick of course. I highly recommend if you're ever in the area!

Much better than Panda Express but not by much, really. Not as many options and the price is pretty steep for what you get. Their famous for the bourbon chicken - meat was tender but the sauce is pretty salty to me. Husband got the honey glazed chicken, which is breaded and akin to orange chicken at panda. Service was fine. Food area looked clean.

035/2024 This grill eatery is located at the Market Food Court inside The Ontario Mills Mall. The chicken bourbon kinda tickled my palate to give it a try. And I surely did and wasn't disappointed!! Chicken meat was tender and flavored with the sweetness of the borboun sauce. Combo came with sides of rice and vegetables medley! Will surely try the steak later !

On my way home from Carvana PPA Tour in Palm Springs today, I dropped by Ontario Mills to pick up dinner for my daughters and me. I have always enjoyed Kelly's Cajun Grill #1 Bourbon Chicken with rice and veggies. So that's what I got tonight. The lady just packed the box with multiple scoops of chicken and good portions of rice and veggies... shall I say up to the brim! Yes, I shall! Thank you miss! My tummy thanks you, too! LOL Atmosphere was a bit noisy since it's located in a food court. Fortunately, the line wasn't too long. I went up to cashier and paid for my food. Staff was nice and pleasant. I asked for a cup of water and they were happy to provide it. Afterwards, I was on my way to the next food stop LOL. I don't know what they put in their Bourbon Chicken... it's amazingly and addictively tasty... hands down!!! Thank you Kelly's Cajun Grill for sharing your delicious foods with us!!! I will be back for more the next time I'm at the Ontario Mills.

This restaurant is inside the Ontario Mills Mall food court. You can usually find a seat even when it is pretty busy. It can get fairly loud when it is pretty busy. There are a number of large tables for big groups. Like most mall food courts there are restaurants with food from several different ethnic backgrounds if you are not excited about Cajun food. The mall lot does get pretty packed, but it is a huge lot and you can usually find a spot with a long walk even when it's very crowded. The servers here were just ok. They are nicer than many fast food places, but not super friendly, helpful, and efficient like some of the best take out places. Their food and order system is just like Panda Express and so much so that we wondered if they have the same owner. You pick rice or noodle to go with a protein and a vegetable in a sectioned takeout box from a buffet style layout served by the employees. We got the bourbon chicken and black pepper chicken respectively with chicken fried rice (.70 cent surcharge on our visit over regular rice) and noodle. Everything was just ok, not bad, not super terrific. The bourbon chicken tasted like Chinese char siu (bbq pork) and the black pepper chicken had a stronger pepper flavor, but similar to the same dish at Panda. Overall, the Yelp 4 star average on our visit is probably about right. One must remember that 2-3 stars is good for fast food on Yelp, under 2 means avoid, and over 3 is very good. We are not dying to go here again, but we would eat here again and recommend you give them a try to see if you like them.

I love this place. I can safely say i been coming here almost as long as Ontario Mills Mall has been open. It's like 21+ years or longer. Every time i am in the area, i hope and pray that this place is still there. I couldn't help myself and drove by recently, realizing they are still up and running and busier than ever, which made me more than happy. I love their bourbon chicken, noodles, and fried rice combo. On the menu, it's a #1, but you can modify it any way you like. I recommend the chicken fried rice upgrade. I introduced it to my girlfriend, and she now wants to know how to create this magical bourbon chicken. I would easily drive 30 miles to taste the beauty that is this chicken. Ambiance wise, you are in the middle of a food court, inside one of the largest malls. The food is always fresh and will be served very quickly. If you love cajun food or bourbon chicken, i recommend doing what i do and grab extra combo plates to take home for later. U hope this place stays open another 20 years... and i would still be coming back for more.

I've been going here for 15+ years. They were never stingy with their food. While I was in line they were filling up other orders. When I requested them to add more like the other customers they said it will be $5 extra but nobody in line was paying that. She was super rude. The guy was giving people spoon fulls after I left for the same entree I ordered. Will never be returning.

Bourbon chicken soft juicy, sweet and mildly spicy. Flavorful soft sweet rice. Veggies not under nor over cook. Good quick meal on a busy Saturday weekend lunch time shared with my sweetheart. Still comfortable in the spot we got seated in spite of the noise of happy people enjoying their time around us. Good food and fun time spent together. Will probably try blackened fish next time.

Food was fine, but the service needs a lot of work…read more It was our first time coming here, so I had no idea how anything worked. When we first arrived, the front was completely disorganized, and there were no lines at all. People were just crowding around the hostess table, so I had no idea how to add my name to the waitlist. There were no signs that showed where the line starts, and no line was being formed at all. The hostess kept having to walk people to their table, so it was nearly impossible to grab her attention. When I did manage to do so, she was very rude and prioritized other people before us. She obviously saw us come in before other people, but ignored that fact and just added other people to the waitlist first. Ridiculous. Their waitlist system is through Yelp, which sends you a text when your table is ready. Based on the app, it said that our table wouldn't be ready for about 1.5 hours, so we decided to walk around the outlet in the meantime. After nearly 1.5 hours, I saw that we were 2nd in line and decided to have our family walk back to the restaurant. While we were waiting outside for me to receive the text, we heard the host call my name and say that our table was ready. We met with him, and I said that it was odd since I hadn't received the text yet. He said, "Oh no, the hostess told me about you guys. You said that your phone was dead, so you'd hang around the restaurant and wait for us to call your name." No. We never said that. They have us confused with a different party. This means that if I hadn't checked the waitlist regularly and had just waited for that text, it never would've come, and we never would've gotten seated. What a messy system. Also, I've never been to a seafood boil restaurant where we have to ask for the bibs. Normally, they're given to us right when we're seated, so it was weird. We noticed other people were given bibs right when they're seated, so we're not sure why this happened. Other Kickin' Crab locations also give you an entire bottle of ketchup, whereas this place only gives small plastic cups. Weird. I think the employees and other customers would agree with me when I say that the entire place is completely disorganized because multiple orders around us were being messed up. The table to our left was missing its piece of corn and sausage in its bag of shrimp, while the table to our right was missing crawfish in their bag. The workers were obviously trying their best to straighten things out, but it didn't seem to be working. The menu is consistent with their other locations, but the market prices are a bit higher than what we're used to. Compared to the location that we always go to, this place offers bigger frozen crawfish, but the bags were mainly just the claws, so it seemed like a big ripoff. * Cajun Fries: 8/10 - nice cook, but there was only cajun seasoning on the top * Shrimp (Head-On): 9/10 - good flavor * Crawfish (Frozen): 6/10 - big crawfish, but the bag was mostly just claws and not enough garlic The place is located at the Shoppes of Chino Hills outlet, so parking is relatively easy. After being seated, the servers were nice, but it was difficult to enjoy the experience because of everything that had already happened. Overall, the service was a huge letdown, and we did not feel comfortable eating here. Places like this are why tipping is optional. The workers at the Kickin' Crab location we usually go to are way more laidback and friendlier, yet still maintain impeccable service. Would not return.

The style, decor, music and ambiance was warm and inviting. The service was excellent, everyone was nice, friendly and worked well as a unit. Let's get to the food... I'll start by saying yes, yes and yes. From the appetizers to the desert.. spot on! To start we had cocktails. My wife had the Bayou Berry Smash, and I went with the Pecan Hips Old Fashion. The bartender did his thing on those cocktails. For the appetizer we chose Craw Fish Pies. The crust was buttery and flaky. There was just enough filling to get some in every bite. For the main courses, she chose the Sautéed Quater Catfish. She substituted the sauteed catfish for fried. The fish is served over a satuee of shrimp, crab, creole rice and ratatouille. It was exceptional! It was a big portion, but she ate every bit of it. Literally, no notes. I ordered the Crawfish St. Charles. A whole perfectly fried catfish filet on a bed of etouffée. The plating was beautiful and creative. There was a crawfish peeking through the curled end of the filet, which was fried to perfection. It was succulent, hot, crunchy, and juicy. That d!%# crawfish etouffée had me looking for a granny to walk out of the kitchen. It was sooo good, the perfect amount of spice and herbs, balanced with the gravy and crawfish and was perfect. We also ordered a side of red beans and rice. I had to try it, and it didn't disappoint. Once again they knocked it out of the park. The spice level, the texture of the beans and that smokey sausage hit the mark. To finish ourselves off we had the Croissant Beignets. All I can say is little pillows of heaven! We will most definitely pay them another visit. Pro Tip.. make sure you order the sausage with your red beans and Rice, the order doesn't come with it.

Drinks: - All the drinks were strong but the strongest was the hurricane (lots of rum). I found all the drinks to have a good amount of alcohol and tasty. The Berry Smash was probably my least favorite but not bad - very sweet though. Appetizers - Brussels Sprouts had a heavy balsamic flavor that was strong in flavor but enjoyable - frog legs - you get a good number of pieces and I don't get to eat this often so definitely worth a try - gumbo small - individual sized gumbo that has a little kick with a mix of seafood options Entrees - Quarter Catfish (fried was recommended) - nice piece size that was fried well and tasty, there was lump crab with a butter sauce that was great (I actually liked this more than the catfish) - Crawfish Pasta - not bad but decent. not the most flavorful considering most things were. - shrimp jambalaya - you can substitute the rice for pasta - strong kick, a little dry as pasta and decent Desserts: - Bread pudding in bourbon sauce - comes out sizzling and made in house; wasn't my favorite I think the sauce was too much - Carrot cake - definitely the best dessert they have; reminds me of a carrot cake cinnabon - Cheesecake - the top layer has a very sharp cheddar taste; not your classic mild cheesecake - you must really like cheese to enjoy this Overall I thought the food items they really experimented with and enjoyed the creativity. I don't think everything sat well with my taste but the food was very enjoyable and not too pricey. Staff was very polite though service was slow with the entrees I enjoyed our waiter a lot. The flavor and seafood were absolutely on point. My group of five ordered the Snow Star Family Bucket with Full House sauce, and everything came out fresh, well-seasoned, and generously portioned. Portions were solid and we all left very full and very satisfied. If I had to nitpick: The mild Full House sauce was a little spicy for something labeled "mild." Still tasty, just a heads-up for anyone sensitive to heat. The fried calamari was good flavor-wise, but it was a bit light on calamari and heavy on fries. Small side note: my wife and I love having boiled eggs with our seafood boil, but unfortunately they don't offer boiled eggs here. Not a deal-breaker, just something we personally missed. They provided us menus, pretty straightforward; choose seafood, add sides for an extra cost, choose the flavor, and the spice level. One thing not noted on the menu is that shrimp isn't peeled, but they can peel them for an extra $6. And each order comes in pound increments. No half a pound offered. Your table is also covered with paper so you can eat the seafood boil from there. They provide bibs and gloves for no charge. Ultimately, we enjoyed our meals. Everything was flavorful and, unlike some other seafood boil spots, it didn't leave us feeling like we had heartburn afterward. There's a little sink for you to clean your hands at, which is nice since you dont have to wait for the restroom to empty. The service is what was a bit off. Like we asked for 3 Cajun fry boats but only received 2. Drinks were mixed up, and the clam chowder didn't arrive until about 20 minutes after our seafood bags had already been delivered. If you want ranch for your fries, they charge 60 cents for a small container. For drink refills, they bring a pitcher, but it's the kind typically used for measuring ounces. The server also tended to reach across one end of the table to grab empty cups or pass out food. Since I was seated at the end, it felt awkward having to help pass things down, especially since there were other access points to reach people in our party. We left around 920pm. I only mention it because we were the last group there, and we all noticed the heater seemed to have been turned on. Restaurant sign says open til 10pm on Sat. but we saw them turn off their open sign when we went outside. Needless to say, service could have been better.

The place was pretty empty, yet the service was still very slow .To be fair, there was only one girl handling everything!! seating guests, taking orders, and serving food, while another man would occasionally come by to drop something off and then disappear. The food was the biggest letdown. The sauce was extremely dark, thick, and bland, with abt 6 large bay leaves in it. It also had a very bitter taste that overpowered everything. On top of that, the menu is very limited, only two combo options. If you want crab and shrimp together, you're forced to buy them separately, and it's not cheap The only upside was that they had a deal where if you spend over $70 before tax, you get a free item from a selected list. Also, the crab meat and shrimp themselves were very meaty and fresh, which is the main reason I'm giving this place two stars instead of one. Overall, I wouldn't return. The food , service and price just weren't worth it.

HOUSE PAN ROAST It tasted exactly what was expected. A creamy tomato soup consistency and flavor. Got level 2 or 3 for spice level. I wanted more of that creamy flavor, not spice. Any higher than 3 would be Tabasco level spice and up. Deliciously filled with shrimp, chopped scallops, small crab meat. I could taste the crab meat, which was all sitting at the bottom of the bowl. The scoop of jasmine rice with the creamy pan roast was comfort on another level. Got the small size, but it is enough for me. I do wish there were more shrimp and scallops and crab in the pan roast. I felt the scallops and crab were chopped too small and wished there was a bit more. But still I enjoyed the pan roast and would get it again. As an appetizer and accompaniment to the house pan roast, they bring a basket with three sliced breads and a side of butter. It's a light, soft bread with a bit of sour flavor. Didn't like it. I would have preferred dinner rolls. CUSTOMER SERVICE I arrived 1 hr before lunch closing time. It closes at 2:00pm and then re-opens for dinner at 5:00pm. But service was good! Only one server, but she checked back with everyone and all around better than most places I've been at recently. Lots of people came in 30-40 mins before closing time. Still, service was friendly and they weren't turned away. LOCATION At The Commons at Chino Hills. This is a large outdoor mall and have many parking spaces.

Hey Jackson, Instead…read moreof giving me an imaginary prize for being relentless, I would much rather appreciate your business taking accountability for the really poor service I had to experience in order to get a basic refund as a result of a mistake that was clearly from your restaurant. I can definitely be more upfront about my dietary needs moving forward when ordering, but even your employee admitted over the phone that chicken is not automatically part of the item that I ordered. If your staff wanted to add chicken to an item that should be seafood only, perhaps they should have asked if I was okay with that. After communicating with your employee about my concerns, I realized that the mistake on the food was secondary compared to the horrendous service I experienced when I shared my concerns. In your reply, you failed to mention anything regarding customer service that I mentioned, so let me say these facts again. I was hung up on several times over the phone, ignored multiple times when I showed up in person the next day, pressured to sign a claims release in order to get the refund, then was told I was an inconvenience to your business. Another fact is I lost my appetite after tasting your food yet was essentially called a liar when I came in the next day because I didn't appear sick to your employee. I cannot believe that is how your employee was allowed to treat a customer and I honestly hope you had a serious conversation with them. For the record, I was signed out of my main account for several months and did leave a review on a temporary account. Once I gained access to my main account, the review on my temporary account got deleted because that account got deleted. I operate on only one account and needed to re-write any reviews that got deleted. Looks like someone reported my review for your business, so I did revise it to better follow yelp's guidelines. Therefore, it is absolutely not an exact duplicate of the previous review. The real impact here is not only the loss of appetite, but also how I was treated after I raised concerns. It really was one of the most horrendous experience with any restaurant staff.

Lea was incredibly kind, gracious, and easy to work with throughout the entire process. At one point, we even had to cancel because we were dealing with internet issues at the venue, and she was so understanding. Once we confirmed the event was back on, I reached back out and she made everything seamless. The food was AMAZING. Literally everyone came up to me during the event to say how good it was. People were going back for seconds and asking where the food was from. One of my favorite parts of the experience was getting to give Filipino food space in a corporate setting and seeing how well received it was. Hallelumpia absolutely delivered.

The food was flavorful, fresh, and a hit with the entire family--there wasn't a single dish left untouched. What really stood out was her communication. She thoughtfully texted step-by-step reheating instructions for all the trays we ordered, which made hosting so much less stressful. That level of care and attention truly made a difference. Highly recommend--great food and service!
