Can't begin to explain how amazing these guys are!!! Toilet backed up on a Halloween night. I called and courtesy plumbing was able to get someone out within 2 hours. Immediately they began to work and it was determined that a pipe had broken in the bathroom. The following morning the crew arrived. Josh and Augustine were able to break ground, dig 5 feet down/10 feet out and replace all the plumbing in the bathroom ( toilet, sink & shower) Jeff, the owner of the company even showed up to further explain the situation and go over what was being done. I was constantly kept informed throughout the whole process. Out of curiosity I called a few other plumbers to get a quote. I explained the work that was being done and asked what they might charge. I was given a quote almost twice the amount that courtesy plumbing was charging. I was shocked! I will start off with the scheduling experience because first impressions are important. The office staff was sensitive to my predicament (since all plumbing issues are an emergency) and said they would have someone at my house by the afternoon which was reasonable given the fact that I called late morning. A cancellation was to my benefit and a plumber arrived about ninety minutes after I called. Tom was courteous and well trained. He laid drop cloths around the work area which is good to see. He pinpointed the source of my leak and made just one eight inch drywall cut. This was refreshing since I have talked with various companies during other plumbing emergencies or projects where they wanted to cut major sections of walls or ceilings when it didn't make sense to do so. I suggested installing a small access panel in case of future issues and Tom readily accommodated me. The price was reasonable given the circumstances. I would recommend this company to anyone in need of emergency repairs. I am sure they would be just as good for non-emergency or project work. read more

Just purchased a home and lots of things needed to be attended to, and one of the first issues was a broken water line that was supposed to feed my fridge. I called Courtesy and they sent Jason out who was prompt and quickly assessed how much it was going to cost to replace the pipe. What I liked was that he gave me the economical option, and also the less economical but more sturdydurable option instead of just charging me for the most $$. I went with the sturdy option just so the durn thing won't break in the future. A day later, we had a leaky toilet and I called Courtesy again. WoW! Ok, here is how my experience with this place went. I called in mainly because they said that they would give a free estimate, will not start working until they have an approva and I thought there might be a leak issue with the bath tub cause the water was leaking a little. The tech came during the time that they said they would show up all dressed up professional in the company's uniform. He detected the problem and gave us possible solutions to the problem since he didn't think that the bath tub was leaking (very helpful and courteous). He told us to try his suggestions and asked us to call them back if the problem still exists and we didn't have to pay anything! We tried what the tech suggested and I am happy to report that the problem seems to have gone away. I thought it was easily going to cost us a few thousand dollars. I could not believe all the good reviews here...I thought it couldn't be possible for a plumbing place to be that great...but...I discovered that the reviews are ALL TRUE. In my 30 years of living in a house, this was the first time I actually had a pleasant plumbing moment. I called them because of a serious leak that was flooding our house. Can't say enough great things about Sean. He's the guy you want on your job! I've had him out two different times for two different houses and I was impressed by him both times. The first time had to do with a simple loose faucet that was dripping under the sink...it was very embarrassing when he took one look, tightened the faucet, and said everything was fine. But my embarrassment soon turned to happiness when he said he didn't need to charge me for the call out. I think that was just a lucky day for me, but I know a lot had to do with him being a nice and fair guy. At our new house, our main line backed up AGAIN for the second time in two months. Since this was so unusual to happen so fast and the blockage was so large, he quickly pulled out his camera. I was about to lunge at him and say 'NO' as I didn't want to pay another camera charge to look at the same pipe I saw two months earlier with another plumber. Instead he quickly said there would NOT be a charge for the camera as he knew there was a bigger problem going on. This was pretty smart on his part because there was no need to nickel-and-dime me as his experience said there was actually a larger amount of work needed that could be possible business in the future. Sure enough, there was, and it involves digging up my lawn and replacing part of the pipe. The guy who came out from another company two months earlier had totally missed this and had nickel-and-dimed me. Sean gave me the quote with little pressure as he even said that this time of year was tough on expenses and understood if we wanted to wait or ever look for someone else. My husband and I will be waiting on this large job for a couple of months, but we're planning on using them again. Sean is now our guy - so if he reads this, don't you think about retiring anytime soon! My opinion is that some of these reviews on YELP might have to do with one or two less experienced apples in the bunch. Go with Sean if you want someone fair and knowledgeable. So I decided to help my mother out with finding a plumber to fix her main bathroom. I knew that the plumbing job that she needed done wasn't a huge one, based on the consultation prior. We pretty much needed the chain on the flapper adjusted and a possible unclogging. When I scheduled the appt, they gave me a timeframe of 12-3pm and arrived right at 12 which I actually did appreciate because I needed to go to work afterwards. I expected for them to call beforehand but I didn't receive one. However, one of the servicemen did apologize for not calling ahead of time. Once I showed them (2 servicemen arrived) the toilet, they knew right away what the issue was. The chain needed to be adjusted and they needed to plunge it a bit. Initially, I stayed in the restroom with them but then I stepped out to finish getting ready for work. They finished the job pretty quickly and informed me on their way out of the restroom, instead of offering to show me the work before. They presented me with an invoice and charged me a little over a $100 for this small job which was confusing to me because I had received a quote from another plumber prior, of just $45. It was even referred to as an "easy job". I asked for them to give me a breakdown of the services to explain the charges and their was hesitation in the explanation. Basically, all I was told is that the chain was adjusted and he toilet was plunged. Ridiculous!! This definitely felt like one of those typical times when a female is taken advantage of when seeking out a "blue collar" service that may be foreign to them. Our gas fireplace developed a leak, and Tom came out to fix it. He was wonderful - friendly and professional, he fixed the leak very quickly and took great care to make the result (replaced old, not-to-code metal pipe with new flexible pipe, which is yellow) as aesthetically pleasing as possible. Quick, easy, and painless. I called after the washing machine started to drain into the kItchen sink and overflow onto the floor. I called from work at 3. I told them I would be home by 5:30ish. Let me start by saying, great experience. Rick showed up ahead of schedule after calling to let me know he was available sooner, which was nice, but aside from that, he had to be the nicest repairman I've ever dealt with. Right away, you can tell he genuinely cared about helping me. I have a leaking sprinkler line issue that floods my neighbor's yard every time I run for too long. Rick made it clear right away that this type of problem is best suited for a landscaper; someone who deals with sprinkler systems all the time, but he wasn't hesitant to take a look anyway. He spent a good 20 minutes with me trying to help in any way he could. The issue of water flooding my neighbor's yard of course didn't happen while Rick was there. Rick didn't charge me, I'm not saying that's how he does business, because that wouldn't be a good thing for him to give away his time, but that was really nice of him to do that. I would have gladly paid for however long he was there. I wouldn't have changed this review even if I had paid. Yesterday, I found that our water heater was leaking. We had just replaced it 4 years ago so I called to find out about the warranty and they sent a plumber over to check it out. A kind of dusty looking guy showed up and gave me a quote for a warranty replacement or for a new American Standard tank. I called Courtesy Plumbers because of their great reviews, just to get a second opinion. Brandon called me back right away, assessed the situation and gave me a quote for a better top-notch, Bradford White water heater. The price was significantly higher but after hearing about the previous guy he decided to match the price. Look, I'm a registered nurse and don't know a lick about gigantic household appliances. I also know from my own line of work that people sometimes have to trust the professionals. I could tell that Brandon was a pro by his careful, thorough assessment and recommendation so I told him I was sold and made a next day appointment. He and assistant arrived early this morning in their cute truck and got straight to work. My dad was impressed at how professional they were and how quickly they replaced our 40 gallon tank. They resized some of the copper pipes to ensure a proper fit and replaced the gas hose because the previous one was too short. After he was finished he showed us how to turn off the gas and how to re-ignite the pilot. He cut me an invoice and I paid in cash but they also take check and credit cards. There is really nothing worse than plumbing problems. I mean, how many of us normal people really know anything about water pipes, water lines, etc.? I sure as hell don't. This past weekend, my toilet was clogged and everytime I would flush, take a shower, or turn the faucet on, water would come leaking out into my garage and stinking up my place. How is a bachelor like me going to bring some lady friends over when it smells like a dumpster? First ever Yelp review and it's warranted! Courtesy Plumbing was so great in their promptness, knowledge, attention to detail, and overall friendliness. Sorry for the late review JASON, but the holidays keeps you pretty busy up until the new year. I called Courtesy Plumbing on Monday, 11/21/11 to schedule an appointment. They said they could have someone stop by later that same day to check out our problem. We were greeted by JASON [smiling] and introducing himself and his company. I told him that we had water leaking from the kitchen ceiling. He started by listening, through the drywall, to the water spraying out of our broken pipe. He pinpointed the location of the problem and carefully cut through our ceiling drywall and found the leak in one try! He advised me that our copper pipes were getting too old and recommended us to have it repiped soon. He also recommended an alternative to copper repiping, in flexible pex tubing. He was very knowledgeable in his craft. He continued to cut out our old copper fittings and replaced them with new ones, within 30 minutes he was finished. He cleaned up his mess, put everything back to where it was before, took out his tools, retested and reinspected the pipe again, and then cleaned up a little bit more. JASON was very thorough and polite. He gave us our bill and it was very reasonable. I would highly recommend Courtesy Plumbing for all your home plumbing needs. It was a great experience, something I dreaded before, but now I will be using them in the future; I even recommended them to my neighbor who also had a great experience with them. read more

Bathroom tub stopped and I spent a couple hours with a 25ft hand rodder with no success. Actually got the thing stuck in the drain and couldn't get it out. Called courtesy the next morning and Josh and Augie came out in just a couple of hours. They used the big rodder through the roof vent to clear the main line and also cut out most all of the caught wire that was stuck in there. Only a bit remained in the pipes right at the tub drain but everything drained great once they were done. Whole job took about an hour and price was very reasonable. Josh also gave a rough estimate on some other work I asked about and tips on how to keep the main line clear. read more

I've actually been using Courtesy Plumbers for the past 4 or 5 years now and never got the chance to write a review, but I was kindof waiting until I had them do a big job before I finalized my opinion on these guys, so I guess now is the time. Courtesy plumbers are a reputable, honest, and reliable group of people. They've changed our faucets a couple times (we have an older house, so things are starting to fall into a state of disprepair, as all things eventually do). Anyway, garbage disposals, faucets, toilets, they've done them all for us...but this last time around, the big job finally came around. They come on time and always provide a pretty accurate service window. They're quick and from my experience so far, have been honest. Turns out I had a leak in my waterline that led out to my meter...the leak was pretty slow so it didn't require emergency service, but it did require service. Now they came and diagnosed it and charged me the fee for the labor and diagnostic charge, but told me I could apply it to the repair service, should I decide to move forward. Now I was offered two options, the first, for lack of a better word, being a patch..meaning the issue could and probably would happen again in a few years, so I would have to eventually conduct the service anyway, or just replace the entire line. The line was PVC and needed to be changed to copper. So they quoted me the price and said the initial fee would apply towards it. I actually got a second quote because I initially thought that the issue would be covered by my home warranty, but it wasn't, and the other company was actually charging more and suggested to use a cheaper material, which after some research and talking to Thom from Courtesy, was not the better choice. So we went forward with the repair and they were able to complete the work in about 5 hours with a small crew. Thom and his crew showed up right at their designated appointment time and were able to get started on the work; they informed me they would call me back about an hour out from completion, which they did and I headed back to the house to close everything out. Now some people might think they charged a lot for just 5 hours of work, but I've checked around and almost all plumbing companies charge roughly the same rates...just depends on who you trust and who you're willing to work with. Yeah, maybe 1-2 guys could've done it, but it would've taken much longer and the man hours is still the same, so you'll pay the same amount. I much prefer a bigger crew doing all the work quickly. Again, if you're just looking for the cheapest plumber out there, these guys will not work out for you, but often times, you're sacrificing the quality for the price, so buyer beware. However, I have been satisfied with courtesy plumbing for quite some time now and appreciate the work they do. read more

This is a neutral review. I got a quote but did not use their service. Just giving Yelpers a heads up. I requested for a quote to install a water softener system at my home. Called, made an appointment, and technician showed up (on the later side of appointment time). So far so good. Explained to the technician what i wanted to do. We talked and discussed some options and details then said something that raised a red flag for me. He said "I'm not sure how to install it but "WE'LL LEARN TOGETHER"" WTH!!! I am a property manager and had an emergency with two units where backed up, their toilets&tubs. I had our regular plumber scheduled for Saturday to come out and he was a no-show!! These traits to me are very important when I look for service. Professionalism means they're serious about what they do. Being knowledgeable means they know what they're doing. I like to know what's going on so passing over information to me is a key. And there's no replacing good old fashioned honesty. As a matter of fact, when they told me how much it was going to cost to clear out the main line, it was just slightly higher than the other guys. I'm very happy with my decision to call them. He proceed to give prices on what it might cost to get problem resolve, if you agree Dustin will give you estimated time and someone will show up. 30-40 minute later Aaron shows assessed the situation and give you what it would actually cost. My issue require another person which cost a little more. I gave the go ahead than Aaron called in his partner and arrive 10-15 later. They got to work about 20-25 min later they are done. This occured 08/09/13 at 6:30pm. I had a leaky shower head issue along with a malfunctioning toilet. I was going to hold off until Monday but the situation was degrading fast. I was quite hesistant to call on a plumbing service that operated at night because they may try to charge more, but this was an emergency. The plumber that came was MAURICE. He was quite nice and was straightforward in diagnosing what was wrong. He even went so far as to tell me that there would even be no assurance that he could help me due to the severity of the age of my pipes. Regardless he tried his best and managed to fix my problem and at the same time educate me on what may happen down the line. The wait time was far longer than I thought since they didn't get to me until 8:30pm. But the end result was no more leaky shower head. read more

"Courteous" doesn't do these guys justice. They should change their name to "The Absolute Best Plumbers in Town." The guy gave it too us straight, didn't try to nickel and dime us for a drippy bathtub faucet. He had to leave and come back 3 times to get the right supplies from Home Depot, because our bathtub was "tricky" and didn't charge us extra. You can trust these guys to do a great job and will call them again for any future work. read more
