Almost average small-town cafe; almost. I'm obsessed with their cups, so cute but they add too much ice even when asking for light ice. Their hot chocolate is so cute, it's topped with whipped cream and rainbow sprinkles. I have never gotten any main meal off their menu other than their street tacos, the only ones I haven't tried are the fish ones. My only real gripe is how inconsistent the are, sometimes they're REALLY good, juicy and filled with meat but other times they're dry and filled with primarily cilantro and other additives. First of all, service here was almost always fast, efficient and friendly. Though sometimes it was just fast and efficient. The food here for the most part was very good and often enormous. The burritos were generally quite good. Anything that came with fries seemed to come with enough fries for 5 people. A number of the items are made from scratch. So the biggest disappointment for me by FAR was the hot turkey sandwich with gravy. I was expecting actually house-roasted turkey but it was just some packaged lunch meat that was sort of fried up a tiny bit on the griddle. It was one of the grossest things I've ever eaten. Almost forgot, I also ordered the torta sandwich and it was literally about the size of my head and was tasty but so big and messy it was hard to eat. We were passing through Susanville on the way home from vacation and the reviews looked like it was worth trying. We were there at lunchtime but they serve breakfast and lunch so we opted for breakfast. My husband got the breakfast special a bacon mushroom omelette with hash browns and biscuits and gravy. It was just okay definitely not worth the $15 that was charged. I got a waffle with bacon and eggs. The waffle came out cold and the syrup was cold. The waffle was clearly made from a mix and cold. They warmed it in the microwave and it still wasn't worth eating. It cost $30 total and was not worth it at all. Definitely wouldn't recommend and won't come back when in the area. The server, Kim was the only good thing but she didn't ask if it was okay or offer to take the cost of the waffle off the bill or replace it. read more

We were traveling through Susanville on our way home and found this gem. The coffee was surprisingly good and the service was great. I got the quesabirria tacos and they were wonderful. My mom got the bacon avocado Benedict and she loved her food. The portions were large, but not ridiculously so. The inside was cute, though a little chilly. This place is always pretty busy and yet is able to still keep up with good service and yummy food. I hope owner or manager they read all I write down here , I went to Susanville and was lunch time I searched in yelp for local restaurants and decided to courthouse cafe they nice area for sit outside and I saw menu was like Mexican American style of food I ordered Philly cheesesteak with salad and daily soup when salad came they put shredded carrots on top of salad it was like if they keep carrots in water every day always gonna be looks like fresh it was regular okaye salad after they serve me soup was chicken tortilla soup and it was horrible so tasteless chicken over cooked you can't believe it, it wasn't fresh soup and best part about my philly sandwich I asked them for extra onions when philly came looks was good but when I get first bite it salty sandwich I had in my life also beef was so over cooked I asked server taste some beef she said omg so salty and over cooked and I asked her change for please and no salt at all and cook medium please and when she back again with new one philly sandwich was exactly same like before I asked for check she bring check to me I saw they charged me for extra onions a dollar I don't care about dollar but it was unprofessional and even they didn't put extra onions I gonna post pictures just check last pic so maybe somebody ask everything was bad so why 3 star because I care about local business I wish always best for all locals if I will going to Susanville again I give them other chance for change star. read more

On the left side of Mainstreet, headed towards Reno. First glance, it was packed at 1:36 pm. Good sign.,, I couldn't get over the size of the menu. I ordered 3 chicken street tacos. No cilantro. Served as such except it was beef. No problem! The beef was better than I could have had with chicken. They were incredibly filling. I don't eat much at one time so the average eater may want 5... Also came with 2 slices of slightly burned toast but was made for my husband. We both had the endless coffee cup both days. The first waitress last week was a doll. She stopped to find out our story and constantly filled our cups. She noticed right off that I didn't get the " beef" tacos I ordered but " chicken". Here for lunch on Memorial Day. Not busy today but it's not a work day for most. I ordered the gas chamber which was tater tots topped with chili, cheese and red onion. My husband ordered the pastrami burger which is a hamburger topped with pastrami on a hoagie roll. The portions are huge. You won't leave here hungry. The chili is home made and has corn in it. The tater tots had a slightly oily taste but we're brown and crispy. My husband was happy with his pastrami burger. This is a pretty typical strip - mall style cafe dining experience. Small cafe in the corner of a small business area behind Walmart. In a nutshell, home cooked goodnees at very reasonable prices! I got the breakfast special which was 2 slices of french toast, an egg and bacon, sausage or ham. I got the sausage which was thick and juicy. The french toast was fantastic! Thick and fluffy with a nice light crispy on the outside. The husband had the eggs and sausage... and he opted for the biscuit as his bread.... it was big and fluffy... but not too doughy. We went here for the very first time today. We had gone to another restaurant down the street who clearly do not understand customer service. We were sat, waited about 10 minutes, placed our order, ignored and after about 45 minutes, we left. When we arrived here they were slammed. We were immediately seated, we had a wonderful young server, our order was taken and within a few minutes, our order was delivered. I had the Martha's salad. It was delicious. Fantastic breakfast!! The food was great, the service was great, and the little cafe is unassuming. We visited at 9:30am on a Monday, and it filled up, mostly with locals (which I usually think is a good sign). I had the breakfast burrito and hashbrowns, and my BF had the Cali Omelette and country potatoes. They were both delicious! The hashbrowns were thin and crispy, and the country potatoes had a great flavor. And we both asked to make small alterations to our order, and the waitress was very cool about it! Generally pretty tasty food so an off day can happen. The cold French toast that went back to the microwave (I assume) came out hot and tough. At four dollars a slice on the side order menu, it was pretty disappointing. Our server was pleasant enough but when you have to ask for things like refills, you feel like you're putting them out. It wasn't busy and maybe that's the difference - when you are hustling, things just go better. We'll keep coming here because it is one of the better restaurants in town. read more
