I come to Livermore for work and this is my second stay here. First, what friendly staff! Very accommodating, great conversation, very professional. I have not had any issues where my room wasn't ready or given away, this happened several times before with other hotels, and they were efficient to get me setup in my room. The rooms are clean, fully stocked, have plenty amenities, and roomy. I don't sleep much when traveling but this place feels safe, it is quiet (due to being well constructed), and I'm able to knock for a few hours. The hotel has a decent gym, several cardio machines, freeweights sets, benches, weight machines (pulley systems) TVs, etc. I like it as it fits my fitness needs depending on my mood. The bistro is good. The food is decent but honestly the staff really make the experience. These ladies work VERY hard and are extremely efficient getting your meals together. What a great group of people. Very friendly and we built, and continue to build, a great rapport as I will be traveling here often. All in all a really good hotel. read more

The Courtyard by Marriott in Livermore is an excellent hotel to host guests when you are having your wedding at one of the nearby wineries. The selling point is the complimentary shuttle to/from the venue. The shuttle runs every 15 min going and every half hour after the reception ends until midnight. That is plenty enough time to get back to the hotel. However, going to the ceremony it is not. If you want to make it on time, be sure to be on the shuttle at least half an hour before the ceremony begins. Our shuttle driver was friendly and jovial. She commented on how quiet we were considering we were headed to a joyous occasion. Someone in my shuttle responded, "This is the calm before the storm." Another one said, "And it's open bar. Depending on how we react, we are going to be a different color when you pick us up. Red or green. So make sure you bring plastic bags." I said, "Everyone take a good look at me. Whatever you do, make sure you don't leave me behind!" I found out later in the night from a friend that on the ride back to the hotel the shuttle driver talked about a funny group who warned her about the open bar aftermath. She even brought barf bags just in case. That just goes to show how hospitable and conscientious the staff is at the Courtyard. They even let us take over the lobby for our after party. The rooms were decent size with a sofa sleeper, ironing board, hair dryer, and large bathroom. Parking is free and the beds are pretty comfy. How comfy? The thin walls will tell you. We came here for the Harvest Wine Fest in Livermore on Labor Day weekend and were very pleased with this hotel! It's located in an area next to a bunch of other hotels, and close enough to the wineries and Pleasanton (eateries). Check-in was friendly and simple. Room was comfy and just right in size. Elevators were a tad slow. The only bummer is that they don't offer a free breakfast, however they do have Starbucks there. I'd definitely stay here again. It's better than Holiday Inn Express down the street, where we stayed once before. read more

3.5 stars. We got married at Casa Real on Labor Day Sunday of this year (9/5/10) and the only hotel block we made was with Courtyard by Marriott of Livermore. We chose this hotel for the following reasons: - good price point - Nicole, our contact, was very personable and responsive (she gets 5 stars!!) - free shuttle service to and from the wedding - we were told we could have an after-party at the hotel bar and would be able to bring in our own alcohol after the bar closed at 11 pm. Though we generally had a good experience with the hotel (the rooms were clean and nice, the staff was friendly, the breakfast was good, they handed out OOT bags to the guests, etc) we were disappointed in the shuttle service. We paid $100 extra to ensure that the shuttle could pick up our guests after our event ended at 11 pm. However, there were 2 other weddings that night and the shuttle decided to pick up our guests last. Which means that our guests waited 40 min - 1 hour to be picked up. It was kind of embarassing actually, to see so many of our guests sitting around waiting to be picked up after the wedding. I felt bad. The worst part is, it killed our plans for an afterparty because many people were too tired and ended up just going to bed. Another thing that killed our after party plans is the fact that the bar stayed open all night, despite the fact that we were told it would close at 11. Our friends spent a lot of money on alcohol that we would presumably be able to consume by the bar had it not been open; however, the bar stayed open until at least 1:30 in the morning. I surmise this had something to do with the fact that there were 2 other weddings there and they wanted to profit; however I wish they had been upfront with us about this possibility, then we would not have wasted money on alcohol that we were chastised for bringing to the lobby area. I'm sure my experience was unusual because it was a holiday weekend and there were 3 weddings staying at the hotel, but I think they should have hired more shuttles and been more upfront about the bar situation. It really sucked that our after-party was basically ruined/nonexistent due to the hotel's overbooking itself. read more

My stay here started on a Thursday night as my best friend (the bride) and some of us bridesmaids checked in to get ready for the next days festivities. Let me start with the good stuff... - Beverage goodies in the lobby (iced, orange infused water, teas and coffee) - Nice, spacious rooms - Assistance with the bridal suite decoration - All the amenities (gym, computer area, indoor pool, outdoor gazebo, bar, hotel toiletries, vending machines, and HBO) - super sweet shuttle ride service from the hotel to the wedding venue to minimize DUI's - soft and hard pillows - Elsa, the woman at the front desk who helped us with early check-in's and logistics - Some rooms (like mine) had balconies. Now for the not so good stuff... - There was a breakfast bar - but you had to pay and prices were just above reasonable. However, I heard the food was good. - One star gone because the bridal suite had a super loud A/C and if you turned it off it got too hot. I finally went to sleep after putting ear plugs in. It would have been nice to have functioning windows. My room the next night was fine though. - One star away because they wouldn't let us get a roll away bed for the bridal suite even though their website said they allowed one. - Going with the above, the night lady was very rude. Overall, I had a very nice stay and I would stay there again. And if you have a wedding nearby, i recommended asking them to reserve a block for you. Makes it so much fun! read more

Generally a decent, no frills property. Not much around or adjacent to do. More of a commuter / wedding party hotel and that'd be about it. To that end, we recently stayed an evening to attend a wedding in the area. After our departure, we come to find out that a wedding welcome gift waiting for us, we never received. That was super disappointing. Like most all other wedding/events at hotels, that typically is presented to us at check-in. Not in this case. I called today to explore how the property might make this right. I was told, apparently the desk tried our room phone, but who answers hotel room landlines, much less checks messages. I sure do not. I can't tell you how many spam calls I get a day. With not offering me anything, I awkwardly outright asked for the hotel to perhaps make it right, that we missed out on the gift bag from the wedding party. Perhaps some points or something. After a significant hold, the desk told me that the "sales manager" wasn't having it and didn't offer up anything to this Platinum BoNVoy member. This was disappointing, considering it'd be no skin off their back to make it right by crediting my account with points. Next time, we'll stay at the AC Pleasanton as we'd originally planned. read more

Decent courtyard in a great location. Make sure you book early though! Room prices skyrocket during summer wedding season. Never had an issue with the room and the front desk folks are great. We reserved a room block here for our wedding at Casa Real and I was happy with the staff every step of the way. Nicole and Amanda were great, very responsive to my many emails and very accommodating. The weekend of our wedding, the front desk staff and manager were equally as nice and accommodating. We had a fairly "lively" crowd staying with us at the hotel and the management was very understanding, just asking that we keep our voices down and bring our party down stairs so not to disturb the guests in the rooms. Such a fair compromise, we all really appreciated their professionalism and understanding. I'm so glad I went with the Marriott over the Hilton for our room block, this team was awesome! read more

This was a pretty nice place to stay. Not hard to find and close to quite a bit. The room was clean though the bed seemed a little lack luster. The staff is friendly. The breakfast was good and the coffee was hot. There are a lot of tables and places to sit in the lobby. Overall I'd recommend this a good place to stay. My only gripe is the price. At $280 for a work week night that's pretty ridiculous. read more

If you're getting married in Livermore, this is the place to stay! My husband and I got married at Wente Vineyards and had all of our family and friends staying at Courtyard. From reserving the rooms to the reception at the hotel, the staff could not have been more accommodating. Not only do they offer free shuttles to and from Wente, but they did everything they could to ensure an enjoyable stay! Nicole is fantastic and helped us secure two free rooms. Also, they were able to help us set up an after-party in the lounge area when we returned from the wedding. They helped us turn off the lights, re-arrange furniture, and anything else they could do to help us continue the party late into the night. I wish they had an outside pool, but maybe it gets so hot there that it would be unbearable in the heat. As long as you're not expecting rooms like the W, you will not be disappointed staying here. read more

Okay, so I admittedly don't stay in a hotel across town, but there's a few relatives who -- wisely and to their credit -- prefer the flexibility of the Courtyard to the lumpy nature of our IKEA sleeper when they're in town. For the walk-in, walk-through visitors like ourselves, the staff are equally as pleasant as if we were dropping $200 a night or so for the stay. The pool is indoor, heated (not super warm, but the adjacent spa is, and is super warm), and on each occasion we've visited them during their stay, each of the aquatic good times areas are virtually deserted (I think we've had one person share the entire area with us, once). Nice location relative to the freeway, which is part of the draw to them, and on the opposite side of town... which I chalk up to convenience more than a passionate desire to remain as far from us as they can whilst still claiming to be staying in the same ZIP code. Oh, and if you don't fancy the dining options, Costco is around the corner, and you can grab yourself a churro and soda for $1.60 and peruse tires (or whatever else floats your boat). read more

Forces people to pay cash in advance before staying the night. BEWARE! The staff is rude and useless. The manager is NOT helpful. My wife & I stayed at the Courtyard Livermore one night 16 July before attending a wedding at a nearby winery. We arrived wanting to change clothes for the wedding only to find the A/C in the room did not work. A call to the front desk followed by a trip to the front desk eventually brought the maintenance man in about 30 minutes. He wiggled some wires under the A/C cover and the unit came to life. The maintenance man mentioned the unit had failed the previous day as well. This is fairly standard hotel room. The room was clean and all the typical bathroom accouterments were present. There is no microwave or refrigerator. Breakfast is not included so we drove to a nearby Country Waffles for breakfast. There are several hotels the immediate area that offer various features not included at the Marriott Courtyard Livermore. read more

We used this hotel for our wedding guests and also stayed here on our wedding night. Nicole managed our wedding guests beautifully, she was wonderful to work with, easy to get a hold of, answered all of our questions and was always friendly. The hotel is very clean, quiet, the staff was all helpful and friendly, they were very accommodating to all of our needs, I heard zero complaints from my guests, they gave us a great group rate. Overall great hotel, I would highly recommend it to anyone planning an event who needs a room block, as well as any out of towners. It was exactly what I expected, it doesn't knock your socks off as far as hotels go, but for a Courtyard Marriott it meets all the criteria you need/want. read more

I picked the Courtyard by Marriott for our wedding reception night hotel and everything went smoothly! I worked with Nicole entirely via email to set up the group reservation for me and my wedding guests. Nicole was always friendly and quick to answer emails, which made planning this super easy. We used their shuttle service to and from my wedding reception at the Palm Event Center, which all my guests loved! Our bedroom had a complimentary bottle of wine, chocolates, and two complimentary continental breakfast vouches for the following morning. The next morning my husband, wedding guests, and I had breakfast in the lobby and they had a simple but good selection of food and even had an omelette making station. We selected the Courtyard Marriott for our hotel room block for our Dec. 2018 wedding. They were so, so wonderful to us! The hotel has been redone in the last year or so. The rooms and suites were beautiful and the staff were true heroes! Debbie, who helped us with all the planning and booking, is a treasure and so easy to work with. She's responsive and wonderful. The staff there made so many kind accommodations - chairs for our suite the morning of the wedding for hair/makeup, coffee and serving items for breakfast that day, and they kept their bar open after the wedding so we could have an afterparty. They were all so wonderful and we had the best wedding weekend because of them! read more

This hotel is near the freeway for convenience sake. My room was immaculate. First floor at the rear of the building. Very quiet. Check in and out was efficient and hassle-free. I didn't use any other facilities or amenities so I can't comment. My stay was only overnight and the employees friendly. read more

Horrible service! The staff is very rude, the rooms are below average, it is not kid friendly and did I mention the staff is rude?!? Oh, and the free shuttle is a scam...the only reason I booked with this hotel was for the shuttle. I even took the time to call a week before the event to ask for more information about the shuttle and was told "no guest will be left behind at the event". Well, when I checked into the hotel I was told the shuttle was not available. I paid well over $150 for my below average room and then when I wake up in the morning to get some cheap continental breakfast items I am told I have to pay for it? And it is not a cheap price either! I will not go back to this hotel especially when there a so many hotels to choose from in this area. read more

What a fantastic hotel & team to work with for a massive wedding block. Most of our guests were out of town and the Courtyard was the perfect place to call our basecamp for our wedding weekend. Working with Debbie was such a breeze and she always made us feel comfortable and informed with the many questions and concerns we had. She's amazing and I highly recommend working with the Courtyard for your wedding needs. I worked with a couple others around the area and this one exceeded those, tenfold. They helped coordinate shuttles for our wedding guests the day of the wedding. Their staff was exceptionally kind and helpful for us - especially while handling our loud and rowdy party. This hotel and room got the job done. The reason I only give 3 stars is because our room smelt horrible upon arrival. When my family walked in, it was a very strong B.O. smell. We opened up the window and aired it out and the smell mostly disappeared. We could still randomly smell it through out our stay. Also, the room didn't have a mini fridge! We have 3 small kids and definitely need a fridge, not sure we will stay here again mostly based on the lack of fridge. read more

We recently blocked a ton of rooms for my sister's wedding at Murietta's Well in Livermore. I cannot get over the fantastic customer service at this hotel. I plan events for a living and get really excited when a vendor goes above and beyond. Here are some of the super cool things they did for us during our stay: --Delivered "out of town" bags that we put together to our guests when they checked in (free of charge...previous wedding locations have charged for this service) --Carried boxes for the candy buffet, wedding supplies, etc. to and from rooms and help them at the front desk until needed --Allowed us to through a pretty sweet after party in the hotel lobby/restaurant (was closed at the time) we played music, danced, chatted and drank (our own alcohol) until 4am in the morning. They said as long as they didn't get any complaints we could stay as long as needed. --Allowed us to check in super early to the bridal suite so we could start hair and make up --Actually did a pretty sweet clean up of the bridal suite with gift baskets, roses, champagne for the couple when they returned to the hotel (since the wedding was off-site we couldn't get back to do it). --Provided a FREE shuttle to and from the wedding for our guests - I can't tell you how awesome it was for everybody to know they could get to the wedding, drink, and get home without having a car. We had plenty of out of town guests so this was perfect!! I would recommend this hotel for your guests if you're having an event in the area. Although it's not the most trendy or fancy place, they treated us so well!! read more

They still had construction going on, which was a bummer, but they did their best to make up for it by discounting everybody's rates and comping rooms and breakfast. Another amazing review for this wonderful hotel!! I had a wedding block here (which was postponed 3x thanks to COVID). Nicole G. was FABULOUS to work with throughout the past year and a half of postponing! Which I was even more surprised because the hotel had 3 other weddings the same night as ours! Nicole was super on top of it all given this! We were given a Honeymoon suite with a bottle of champagne and 2 tickets for breakfast since our block booked a certain number of rooms. They also offer a super affordable shuttle service if your block books a certain number of rooms - we opted out for the precautionary of covid. They kept the (FULL) bar open until 1230am and we had pizza delivered for our after party. The rooms were nicely designed and the beds were comfy. The hotel staff was very sweet and patient with our kind of rowdy guests when we all got back from the wedding. Only downside is their beautiful courtyard with a big fire pit closes at 8pm - which is understandable since its surrounded by guest rooms. Highly recommend this hotel to say at and DEFINITELY recommend if you're having a wedding in Livermore! read more

Stayed at this hotel over a weekend for a friend's wedding. I arrived in pretty late after a long drive from Southern California. The front desk was very helpful in explaining directions to the wedding, and was very helpful with all my questions. The hotel has a small fitness room, but it's a good alternative when you're away from home. The pool is indoor, but there is an outdoor area for lounging as well. The location is very convenient, just next to the freeway with a BART station just a few miles down on the freeway for easy access to the Bay Area, and a nearby Starbucks, 7-11 and Subway for convenience. read more
