Conveniently located just south of Downtown Paso Robles the Courtyard by Marriott is everything you need without a lot of bells and whistles. Fair priced and close to the highway guests can get to any winery in less than thirty minutes while all the best Restaurants are just up the street. Rooms are comfy and quiet, the 24/7 fitness center and free parking are a bonus. For those looking to get some work done, however, be aware that WiFi lags on the first floor.

Our first time in Paso Robles so excited to explore this area. I chose Marriot bc the company so I expected professional interaction and stay. Upon entry the room was quite small space and only desk are to put stuff down. I tried to put drinks and stuff on another area but not realizing that the micro was hidden under and in order for it to open you must have the top clear. Pretty bad set up. Also the long dresser kinda drawer rolls out from under that desk and must be pushed back in to walk by. Again poor design. The reason I give such low stars is because the bathroom door locked on its own with no one in it. I had to call the front office and they sent a maintenance guy he said oh yeah this happens bc they're basic cheap locks and it triggers lock mode. The other latch part on the wall showed the use of a flat head or something previously to obtain the slight wood crack. So definitely had to keep the door open at all times. So with that being said the door is heavy and if it was fully opened properly it swung open on its own. We had to hold the door so it wouldn't lock on us while we might need it. The from door opens in while the bathroom door opens out. We held the door open widely to go in and out of the room. Again poor design. The bed and couch had very little space between each other. The other is our view from back window, it had stacked pallets and about 8 to 10 gallon bucket paint cans what a view while trying to catch the sunset from the room. Or even just a view. This was our first time in Paso Robles and I will Never stay here again. Nor recommend this place. After a long drive we asked for coffee and they said oh we don't have Starbucks open right now you have to wait for the time frame. They have brunch, lunch and cocktails but all at time frames. One was till 4 then open back at 5 so nothing served in between unless you purchased basic stuff from the lil corner shelves like store they haveexcept coffee. When I asked the employer she didn't understand much so I spoke in Spanish but I speak it as well so she said she didn't know ask the front desk so as I asked his response was there's coffee in your room, that is a service we provide. Ok fine as we entered back into our room there was a 5.00 fee for water. Being that this company has had A Great running with High standards as I thought this is disappointing. Another thing I was quoted one price and got charged another. Yes I am a member also but I will Not stay Here or recommend this place, unless your in for a quick put your head down with No Amenities!! The service as we entered and as we exited was blah! I didn't even get a Thank you for Staying with us how was your stay? No professional interaction with a company that carries a name so well. I could have chose another place to stay but was expecting so much from The Marriot. Such a disappointment. There's no free coffee or choice even to buy a fresh made, there's no Continental breakfast, and the time frame which you can be hungry on their time. So this is My review Not yours so take a chance and You might get a better experience. I called the 800 number and got a lady who speaks Indian and she kept saying it's hard to hear you 8 felt I had to realize my voice to a screaming loud voice and she again repeatedly asked to repeat my self and I said it's because it's so loud over where you're located I can hear all their conversations as well. I said I would call back because I didn't want to use a super loud voice over trying to be heard on her end. Wow such a disappointment. I will try to receive the difference of the cost which I was first quoted. Wish me luck

Great location to the major wineries! Friendly staff. As I understand it, rooms are recently renovated. It was decent but still felt dated. All the lights were independently controlled by the switch in the light, which made it inconvenient.

The Courtyard property in Paso Robles is currently undergoing renovation from August 8 - September 30 2024 (completion date subject to change). Despite the construction, we enjoyed our stay and the hotel's amenities. Besides taking full advantage of the complimentary internet access and the pool, we also appreciated the Starbucks coffee, water, lemonade and cookies that were conveniently served atop a table by the entryway. The property also features a gym, bistro, business center, conference space and meeting rooms. Our room was clean and comfortable and included a smart tv, refrigerator and even a microwave. FYI - there is plenty of parking but it is an additional charge. The service was adequate, but I wouldn't say any of the staff was overly friendly or went out of their way to assist us. The only exception was Amy who deserves to be commended for her above-and-beyond customer service skills. If and when we visit Paso Robles again in the future, we'll definitely consider Courtyard Paso Robles as one of our top hotel options!

What a wonderful welcome from Abraham Marquez who made me feel right at home from a long Ride from Carlsbad. Thanks Abraham......

Breakfast/Happy Hour area located just off the lobby.

Room price was reasonable, staff was friendly and accommodating, and there was plenty of parking. Clean, nicely decorated room. The bed was slightly hard (in my opinion), but my wife slept fine. Bathroom was very nice with plenty of soft towels and personal toiletries however, the showerhead water pressure was a little weak. Breakfast/coffee shop, located adjacent to the lobby, serving Starbucks brand products in the morning, and doubles as a bar in the evening with lite munches. NOTE: There was some renovation/construction occurring during our visit, but we weren't inconvenienced or bothered by any noise.

A nice touch: hot chocolate and fresh-baked cookies in the lobby

We had occasion to stay here for one night during a recent visit to the area. The hotel is conveniently located just minutes from downtown Paso Robles with its many shops and restaurants. Front desk staff could not have been friendlier. Due to ongoing renovations, they had a little "renovation basket" at the front desk offering snacks free of charge, in addition to what I assume was a holiday-related hot chocolate and chocolate chip cookie table for guests to treat ourselves to a warm drink and fresh-baked cookie. There is a small "bistro" in the lobby offering limited menu food items and drinks for sale. The room itself was standard basic Courtyard fare, with a comfortable king-size bed and four equally comfortable pillows. A small love-seat was a bit hard, but served its purpose for our short stay. There was a small desk and chair and luggage stand. The room had a small fridge, microwave and coffee/tea bar - with coffee also offered gratis in the lobby. There was no complimentary breakfast - so you're on your own for that. I had three issues with the room that knocked one star off my review: The toilet in the bathroom has to be the lowest toilet I have ever encountered. I am guesstimating it is no more than 12 inches off the ground. With no grab bar nearby, getting up and down off that low of a commode would be a challenge for anyone with mobility issues or even those of us of a certain age. Not sure what they were thinking having such an extremely low toilet. It's like a toilet for children. In the shower, they have the three pump bottles you find in so many hotels nowadays. One each obviously meant for body wash, shampoo and conditioner. The problem was the bottles - if labeled at all - were impossible to read to know which was which. Not so much a problem with the conditioner, which could be ascertained by appearance and consistency - but not possible to distinguish which was shampoo and which was body wash. Easy enough to have been taken care of by housekeeping. The third and last issue we had was that the A/C unit is positioned directly opposite of - and blows directly on - the bed, so if you have the A/C on at night, you're going to feel that cold air blowing directly on you. Fortunately, the window in our room opened up a small crack of a space, so we wound up turning off the A/C and having the window opened that crack to allow in the cool night air instead. All said, this is a conveniently located property with a friendly staff. If you're looking for a basic hotel and are familiar with the Courtyard brand, this hotel would serve nicely for a short stay.

This hotel is a cookie-cutter Courtyard by Marriott like its other locations: it provides a basic room with a comfortable bed. The TV is installed at a perpendicular angle to the bed, so it's impossible to watch TV while lying in bed. The bathtub is small. There was quite a lot of highway noise from cars early in the morning and some type of construction in the room above mine (1 star off). The curtains in the room do not overlap completely, so there is a large gap for light to come through in the mornings (1 star off), not to mention the additional small holes in the curtains. Needless to say, I did not get the best rest. In terms of cleanliness, I noticed a spider in the bathroom. I'm not afraid of spiders, but wish the hotel did a better job with the upkeep (1 star off). The spider was sleeping. I'm glad someone in the room got enough rest!

Some have Romeo and Juliet balconies the rest have sitting balconies all overlooking the vineyard. The property is located in the rolling hills not far from the main road but tucked away enough to feel away from it all. The price point for the rooms is below the value received. There is not a restaurant on site, but they do provide a daily delicious breakfast in an indoor lovely setting that was included. They offer an extensive Sunday brunch for $39.00. Allegretto vineyard and winery is just down the way with a lovely upscale restaurant if you don't want to go downtown which is 11 minutes away with a plethora of choices for dining and shopping. My boyfriend and I came to Calipaso Winery for what was supposed to be a relaxing weekend getaway,…read moreand it has honestly been such a disappointing experience. When we checked in and got to our room, the property felt completely empty. We were the only guests we could see, which made the whole place feel eerie and uncomfortable. We walked around the entire property and saw no one. There were only three cars in the parking lot, including ours and the front desk employee's car, yet we were told they were "fully booked" when we asked about moving to a larger room. The room itself was not great. The bed is extremely hard and squeaks with every movement. On top of that, the AC does not work. We told the front desk before leaving for dinner about the AC and were told someone would come fix it. When we returned, the room was even hotter than before & it felt like walking into a sauna. The windows don't open, so the only way to get air in is by opening the doors, which obviously lets bugs in. The "free wine tasting" was also frustrating. At check-in, we were told that we would get complimentary tastings at the tasting room. When we went to the tasting room, we were told they were "too busy" for tastings and that we would need to buy glasses of wine instead. We didn't want to make a scene, so we ended up purchasing a bottle and a glass, which came out to $85 & we never received the tastings we were told were included with our stay. Overall, this has been a terrible experience. Between the uncomfortable room, broken AC, lack of guests/staff on the property, and being denied the complimentary tasting we were promised, I would not recommend staying here. Do not let the 4.6 rating fool you.
