I had a really pleasant stay at the Courtyard by Marriott in Providence Lincoln. The hotel was clean, quiet, and well-kept from the moment I walked in. The front desk staff was welcoming and made check-in quick and easy. My room was spacious and comfortable, with a cozy bed and everything I needed for a relaxing stay. The lobby area was modern and inviting, and the café downstairs was convenient for grabbing a quick coffee or snack. They have a gym and pool. Parking was easy, and the location felt safe. It is walking distance to a 7eleven to grab snacks and other things. It was a smooth, comfortable stay and I would definitely book here again. read more

Arrived after midnight on a business trip and was thankful the staff was at the desk ready to assist. Got a room and went to sleep. Slept a little late (past 8 am) and suffered a cold shower. I figured it was just the late hour and it was all gone. Had a 4th floor odd numbered room, so there was a decent amount of road noise. Next morning I awoke early and suffered another cold shower. Complained before my third night and the guy at the desk said "oh, we weren't supposed to give out those rooms." They sent maintenance to check and Rob, who was the only one to show true empathy, confirmed the room had ongoing water issues. He lived be to an even numbered room down the hall. Nothing distal about the room except the hot water did work. To be fair, the water wasn't especially hot even after changing rooms. Rooms were clean and bed was fine, but I do not recommend this place. Mistakes happen,, but they didn't make much of an effort to make it right. read more

Sign in lobby says 'Evolving & Improving,' so it seems they have recently renovated & updated rooms and parts of hotel, and are continuing to renovate. Lobby is HUGE with a lot of places to wait. Staff was very friendly. Hotel is kept clean & tidy. Breakfast in Bistro with Starbucks coffee drinks was decent (wkday close 9:30, wkends close at 10). Was late one morning for breakfast, barista accommodated and filled a latte order for me although she was cleaning up. Room's are nice with updated furniture. Bed is okay. Only communication mishap was saying "come back" to housekeeper when knocked in morning to clean room but never came back to clean (either didn't hear or her English is not that good) so had to go to front desk for new towels. Bathroom & shower is okay. Mini fridge and microwave in room. A/C got a lil' too cold, no in-between where air is just right. 7-Eleven next door to hotel if don't want to pay high prices for hotel drinks & snacks in lobby. Hour away from Newport. Close to downtown Providence & Providence Place Mall. Surrounding towns/cities of MA & RI close also (Seekonk, Fall River, Warwick, Smithfield, Cranston, Wrentham) read more

Yea I liked it. B-, 80%, 4 stars Great location, well equy from a lot in Lincoln, but it was the host hotel for the wedding I was just at. Lots of pros, only a couple cons. Con, the thermostat was a pos! Floor unit that made the room a really unpleasant environment, seeing that this the where the $ goes when you rent a hotel room, well, lucky I'm in the loving mood from the wedding and didn't go jerkstore. Pros: aplenty! Location as I said, good options and a target almost walking distance. The mall, etc. good pizza too, tby (to be yelped) Pool was clean and accessible, hot tub not too hot. Gas station next door, but I guess some secret, if you get up before 7, they put out coffee until the bistro opens. Free is for me! Nice staff, but I also had some miscommunication during the whole reservation process, and I'm going to push the majority of the blame, 51/49, on Marriott and their lack of loyalty, I digress, but if you are a member and hoped for better, meh. Trying to stuff two kids on their pull out is not optimal. oh, fyi, 1st floor plus kids with candy issues equals ants. just saying. read more

Go here. Stay here. I stayed at the Courtyard for 4 weeks on business. I work for Amica, so the location to our home office is perfect, plus it is near a Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts and McDonald's for the breakfast people. However, you don't need to go to those places to eat or drink, because they serve Starbuck's drinks at the restaurant in the lobby. They have great breakfast sandwiches, muffins, bagels, etc. For lunch and dinner? They have great flatbread (from what I've heard), and I loved their cobb salad and half roasted chicken meal. The customer service here is superb. I loved everyone at the front desk and at the restaurant lobby. I loved all of their maintenace crew - very friendly and personable. The rooms were always clean and were recently updated so they look great. Some rooms have a microwave and some don't, so if you want one make sure to ask! They have a pool and large whirlpool that is open later than almost every pool in Las Vegas which I loved! In the back they have a fire pit, chairs and tables which is a perfect place to relax after a long day at work. We went out there several nights and relaxed together - could not ask for anything better. I would absolutely advise anyone to stay at this hotel, especially after hearing nightmare stories about other hotels (e.g. Holiday Inn Express down the road)and because of the service I received. Hands down, one of the best hotel experiences I have ever had. P.S. They have a happy hour at the hotel restaurant in the lobby. Yum. They also have a small convenience store with alcohol, food, chips and those items we always forget when traveling. read more

While the staff was really nice and it's in a convenient location, the hotel was a little surprising for a Courtyard. There was stuff on the floor in the lobby the entire 24 hours we were there (Paper clips, binder clips, etc). You would think one of the many desk staff would pick it up as they walked by multiple times per day. The ice machine was broken on our floor. The quick snack/drink market was almost empty. The breakfast options were subpar so we left the hotel to have breakfast at a restaurant. The rooms were not very clean. When you see a lot of dirt, fingerprints and boogers on the bathroom door, it makes you feel uneasy with what else was missed that we don't see.....especially during a pandemic. I actually had to clean some areas. Usually, I like to enjoy my time in hotels and utilize the amenities, but I couldn't get out of the hotel fast enough. There was mention by a staff member that they are struggling to keep cleaning staff, because "it's a lot of work". The rooms at other hotels are more clean than this one (pre-pandemic). For a Courtyard, which is a level higher than a Fairfield Inn, I was very disappointed. I'll take a Fairfield Inn over a Courtyard anytime at this point. read more

Our stay was great. All of the staff was very friendly. The lady who ran breakfast, Louise, was wonderful. The place was clean, the fruit cup was very fresh, the coffee was great. I used the pool one morning and sat around the fire pit at night with my sister. The only thing wrong was REALLY wrong, but I bet it was an anomaly. The entire electronic key card system didn't work, so any time you left your room, the door would lock and you had to get the front desk to send someone to let you in. This was probably even more annoying to the hotel staff as I don't know how they got anything done due to always having to walk us to our room to let us in. I bet that's fixed by now and doesn't happen again, but it's why I didn't give it 5 stars. The hotel is near a great Italian restaurant called something like Trattoria Romana and also near a nice bike path. I would stay here again. read more

I have been going to this hotel for many years and have seen it decline over the years but now some safety issues have arisen. In the pool area the hot tub timer has been broken for about 6 months. The start / stop button for the hot tub comes completely out of the wall ( most people are wet ). There is an electric cord running across the hallway for the dehumidifier in the pool area that passes through a metal door jamb and a metal door. To move the door open and closed takes a huge amount of force due to the cord wedged between the door and the jamb and as the sheathing of the cord wears away someone will be electrocuted. On top of that their Bistro ran out of hot water during breakfast. It must be COVID or supply chain problems. read more

In lieu of a basic hotel review (pillows were fluffy, sheets were clean, lots of towels, etc.), I present the Yelp Tip I left during our stay: "Well, I woke up this morning to hear a group of girls screaming at each other and (physically) fighting in the hallway. So there's that." That alone doesn't reflect on the hotel; however, the fight went on for about a half hour & with all the screaming & pounding into walls, you'd think that someone on the staff would've come up to check & maybe break up the fight? I was literally in this hotel for maybe 10 hours total, including sleeping while in town for an early am business meeting. I can say that the lobby was nice, the rooms updated, the bed comfortable. Very CLEAN - which is a must for me. I liked that I could crack my window open for fresh air too. It's in a very convenient spot to major roadways and there are a couple of shopping strip malls nearby with decent stores, a supermarket, and a couple of restaurants. I don't like that they charge you for coffee in the morning. This is a business-class hotel and should provide complementary coffee and wifi (the wifi was free). read more

Recently had the opportunity to stay at this property of the Marriott hotel chain for an entire week while in town for business. While it was only my second Courtyard that I have stayed in, I found this one to be the nicer of the two I have stayed at. The lobby is well appointed, clean and the desk staff friendly. They have a nice gas fireplace in the lobby, as well as a small, but well stocked bar. The restaurant area was well stocked for breakfast with everything you might expect (it is a full buffet style restaurant, not just "free" continental breakfast as in other hotels). There is also a very nice, warm, indoor swimming pool and gym as well. The rooms were bright, large and had comfy beds and pillows -- plenty of pillows and in general plenty of room just to spread out after a long day at the office. The wired and wireless internet connections are great as well. This hotel is all that you probably have come to expect from the Marriott Hotel chain and is definitely a nice place to stay while on the road for business -- or for pleasure too. read more

Stayed there recently when my friends and I went down to Twin Rivers Casino for the night. If you are planning to do the same, this hotel is a wonderful option. It is about a 5-7 minute drive from the casino, and we got an excellent rate of $109 on a weekend night. Great deal! The hotel rooms are very nice -- I was pleasantly surprised by the size as well as amenities. The bed was nice and comfortable, and the room was simple, but tastefully decorated. The bathroom was a good size as well (shower curtain had a slightly gaudy design, but I'll forget about that for the moment). The lobby area was small, and everything was centralized in that location. They had two computers there for guest use (not sure if there's a charge or not, but I would assume so), a fireplace with some chairs and tables around it and a bar. In the mornings, the lobby is turned into a buffet continental breakfast area. Though I can't say that the breakfast was five star caliber, it was food and it provided proper nourishment after a night of boozing and gambling. What really won this place over for me was the room itself. For the price, it was more than worth it -- I just wish we were able to spend more than a few hours in it! read more

We only came here to attend a wedding and we're so glad we did! This Marriott was wonderful!!! From check in to check out and all of the drunkenness in between, they treated us like VIPs. The rooms were so nice for $119 a night (very modern and pretty) and any time I had a question for the front desk (when does the shuttle run? where's the coffee?) it was all answered in a down to earth but respective manner. The night was crazy and the Marriott let us be how we were. The lobby is beautiful too! If you get the chance, stay here. They were really fantastic. read more

I wanted to give it 4 starts, but the Wifi took it to another level. The good's: - It's very new, comfortable and even the first floor has high ceilings so you don't really hear anybody above you. - Very clean, and cool lobby area. The bad's: - WIFI didn't work on my iphone or ipad!!! It's a courtyard and I would expect that if they say that they have WIFI that it would work. I was here three days, none of them I was able to connect. Couldn't get things done in here. - Far from Killingly, CT, but this was the closest Marriott. (45 min away) read more

Clean, Comfortable, and conveniently located. Friendly staff. Shuttle provided, albeit a fairly slow and not too friendly one. Not unfriendly, mind you...just not friendly. Very cool outdoor fire-pit area. Tolerates excessive noise levels well. Fairly well priced, but I simply will not give any more than three stars to hotel that not only does not provide a breakfast, but overcharges for it. Nice room. But they put my husband,myself and my three-year-old next to an elevator. All we heard was the elevator and the people getting off the elevator. I think the lady that booked our reservation profile us and put us next to the elevator horrible sleep. And I spent so much money on a room and no complementary breakfast. Not coming back. read more

I cannot emphasize enough that you should avoid this location. Even though the room was paid for in full prior to my arrival, the clerk on duty placed a hold on my credit card for the complete amount of the room without my authorization, knowledge, or approval. This was separate from the hold for incidentals. Other staff were helpful in attempting to get the situation resolved; what confounds me is that such simple messages such as "don't charge a customer again for something they've already paid for" and "don't charge them without their consent or foreknowledge or approval" are apparently not taught to the staff at this location. **EDIT** The charge is finally gone from my card. Would have been nice if I didn't need to spend about 40 minutes of my time, 30-40 minutes of staff time, giving my credit card number AND three digit card code to hotel staff, and multiple calls to the card company, in order to resolve something that would have not been an issue had the clerk on duty paid attention in the first place. None of this should have even been an issue at the start. read more

I stayed at this hotel this past Saturday night. Upon arrival we could tell there was something going on here. Unfortunately it was a hockey tournament in the area and the hotel was full of 10 year olds that had no parental supervision and were allowed to run crazy all over the hotel. During our stay the children were allowed to run around, knock on doors and yell and scream in the hallways. Despite all of this going on the hotel staff was incredible. They did their best to control the situation. After a long night, Jennifer Stamp, was wonderful and found us the next morning and could not apologize enough. She was so nice and so sweet. She explained to us that never had she encountered anything like this and assured us this was not the usual at this hotel. She was so good to us that it really made us feel so much better. She was wonderful and is truly an asset to your hotel. Thank you Jennifer for making a bad situation ALL BETTER!!!! We will definitely be back!!!! read more
