No complaints here. The Courtyard staff were very nice and accommodating. They even let us have a later checkout because my son's lacrosse game got pushed back. I really didn't feel like driving 3 1/2 hours with two sweaty smelly boys and their sweaty equipment. Donald, Linda & the other front desk staff are excellent. Super personable. The place is clean. The only reason for four stars is because the breakfast options are very limited, because they come from a Starbucks café. The bacon egg and cheese sandwich is premade and reheated. I wanted mine without cheese but that wasn't possible.

I had the most terrible experience here. On first impressions, the room was really cute and clean, but that is about where the positives end. I'm a Marriott Gold Elite member. There are specific remarks and requests on my account because I am a light sleeper. I specifically requested a high floor far away from elevators. They didn't even TRY to accommodate either request. They put me on the second floor between the elevator and a couple that were fighting violently all say and night (despite calls to security, it was never resolved). The walls are paper thin. Because of the location, I was awoken at least 4 times in the middle of the night due to drunken people yelling down the hallway, constant elevator ringing and noise from above me that sounded like a bowling alley. The noises continued until about 3 AM, and it was quiet until about 6 AM when the yelling and elevator traffic started again. So I got about 3 hours of sleep last night. This is a VERY NOISY HOTEL. I am blown away that my Marriott gold elite status didn't count for ANYTHING here. On top on all of that, the room layout is terrible. You cannot watch the TV from the bed, and the sofa is tiny and insanely uncomfortable. I wound up just trying to watch Netflix on my laptop, but the WiFi kept dropping and cutting out (from three bars to one repeatedly)

Gross, extremely coffee pot. Very disgusting. Must be their way to sell coffee in the lobby

The only photo I took captures the essence of your likely experience at this hotel. Arguably the farthest hotel from the town center, the hotel is encompassed within what seems to be a dying office park complex. Immediately upon check-in, I was told bluntly, there isn't any maid service available; they kindly offered to provide more towels upon request. Almost each of my visits to the front desk revealed this sign. Most times I just went away, but on one occasion I rang the bell like Quasimodo, now running for office in that state coincidentally, but I digress. The hotel at a distance seems new and modernly appointed and so it is, but it's used hard and when you look closer has heavy wear. I stayed at this hotel two years ago and it was a little better. Rather expensive for the complete, do it yourself package...no breakfast, no maid service. And so on. One night when I asked why the back door wasn't locked (because the sign warns it will lock after dark) the nice lady at the desk said it doesn't lock until 11 pm ...wayyy after dark, and that she was the ONLY employee in the entire huge hotel. Brand loyal to Marriott, so I stayed there, but will seek other options in the future. Sadly, disappointed...

I think this may be my first yelp review ever. While I realize staffing shortages are a major issue, Marriott should pay more attention to how many rooms are being booked and keep the number manageable for the staff they do have. The hotel is not clean. Left over (used) bar of soap in the bathroom, hair on the floor, dust on the furniture, sticky carpet. All for over $300 for the night. I didn't sleep much because I was so put off with the condition of the room. The issues were reported to the front desk but there was no offer for compensation or even an apology. The information was just written down (or at least pretended to be). Pay attention Marriott, this location does not represent your brand well or come close to meeting standards

This was our first time staying at this hotel. Unlike some other reviews, I am only a Silver Elite and have been upgraded at other locations but don't expect it especially during a pandemic. The hotel is conveniently located off of Route 15 and just a short drive to downtown Gettysburg. There are two restaurants located right across the driveway from the hotel. Appalachian Brewing Company is the one we visited (they also have a location next to the battlefield) we loved the food and beer. As for the hotel, we did express check in and when we arrived we were handed our keys but also had keys sent to my phone which I love. It wasn't very busy but every staff member we came in contact with was courteous and friendly. Our king room was clean and comfortable. The sleeper sofa was sturdy enough that you would never know it is. The bed had a nice mix of firm, but comfortable and we both slept great. I will definitely be staying here again as we visit a few times a year and only live 1.5 hours away.

I was flying solo, so I stayed in the smallest (cheapest) room - Violet Room - and it was nice if not huge. Bed, bath, etc., were really nice. Room does have TV and wi-fi, but I was "on vacation" and did not use them that much. Mornings I went down, grabbed coffee, and sat out on the 2nd floor balcony reading and enjoying the view of the yard. Weather was great this visit, and this was hard to beat! The public spaces in the inn were plentiful on both 1st and 2nd floors, and I felt very comfortable. Gaslight's location is in the heart of Gettysburg, and everything but the battlefield itself is an easy walk. That included places to eat and get ice cream. I preferred this to being farther out, driving around, finding parking, etc. Hosts - Mike and Jennifer - were great, friendly, answered all questions, and helped with anything I wanted. If you are looking for a 9-room B&B experience with other nice people, want to enjoy the heart of the town of Gettysburg, and do not need a mega-hotel, the Gaslight Inn should be high on your list.

The establishment itself is of handsome construction, its brick walls bearing the quiet dignity of years well kept. The chambers are appointed with tasteful elegance, and though we have, in our travels, rested upon beds of somewhat greater softness, the comfort of the accommodations was by no means wanting. Yet it was at the breakfast table that the Inn's true excellence shone forth. The morning repast, prepared with notable skill by Mistress Patty and served by Hannah, was of such quality and abundance as to dispel any minor discomforts of the night. Their attentiveness and mastery of the kitchen rendered the meal a delight of the highest order, and I found myself most grateful for her gracious service. In sum, our stay proved exceedingly pleasant, and we departed with a sense of satisfaction and goodwill toward the proprietors. The Brickhouse Inn stands as a worthy refuge for the traveler, offering beauty, hospitality, and a breakfast most splendid indeed

The location is good. The breakfasts were uneven: one outstanding, one pretty awful (a cold Egg McMuffin and cottage cheese?), and one so-so. But perhaps they had a new or temporary cook, because other reviewers did not seem to find this to be the case. We did not find a book in our room with information? Instructions on operating the thermostat would have been helpful, as it got quite cold the third night. Parking is very generous. All in all, we would return, as this was definitely the nicest of the three B&Bs in which I have stayed in Gettysburg.

There was a microwave, refrigerator, and coffee maker available to use. The bathroom had this large beautifully lit LED mirror. Room was clean and had brown modern minimalist design. Beds were really comfortable and I think they were new since there was a little sign saying "enjoy our new beds." As a Holiday Inn Express, they offer free breakfast. It's just your typical continental breakfast, but they still have some variety (cereal, oatmeal, scrambled eggs, pastries, bagels, fruit). I think the hotel is in a great location, right behind an outdoor mall, about 25 minutes from Liberty Ski Resort, few minutes from the Gettysburg National Military Park Museum and Visitor Center.
