I wanted something lighter I could maybe share with my husband and went with the large chicken tenders. When I ordered that, I was asked, "The five piece?" But the menu just listed two sizes and neither size was a number... That was the extent of the service I received from the cashier or the person that basically threw the bag of food at me. This was a good option while in the C Terminal of MKE, however, there is nowhere to sit and eat, so I had to find an empty gate and awkwardly eat my sandwich. I don't know if that's more on the sub place or MKE. The cheesesteak was good and the bread had a nice toast crispiness to it. Some of the toppings weren't the best, but it hit the spot for lunch. The other options for lunch in the terminal didn't appeal to me. The cheese curds were good too. I'll probably skip this next time just due to the lack of seating. The airport location is limited. No choice of bread. Everything is $5 more just for being at the airport. The ladies working did alright, but couldn't care less. Glad I tried it, will visit non airport locations when I can. read more

The Ham & Provolone 15 inch sub is MY FAVORITE! You can't beat their bread and delicious cheese. Everything at Cousins is delicious. The only bad thing is the service. Employees look like they don't want to be there. They don't welcome you. They just look at you like, "what do you want"? I swear I do not like ordering from them because they all look like they're just talking bad about you in front of you AND behind your back, so I watch them make my food because I just don't trust them. Every now and then they MIGHT smile at each other , but that's the nicest you're going to get. I hate terrible service, I think I'll just buy it outside the airport next time. read more

I tried it again, but with similar results. Sad face. Every time I visit WI, a Cousin's Sub trip is on the agenda. Normally these visits are once I am out of the airport, but on my recent flight in, I had a bit of time to wait for my ride so figured "why not". Looking back, I should have answered my own question with "it's an airport location and you've been down this road" and moved on. Cousin's has an amazing chicken cheesesteak that is my normal go-to each visit...and that was no different this time. What was different was the quality. The chicken was extra greasy, which gave it an off putting texture. The bread was a bit tough and "crackly", so the opposing textures were a bit off putting. Service was friendly, and the prep time was standard. Overall, just a bit disappointed in the sandwich itself. It won't change my love for Cousin's, but will just redirect me on my next pass through at MKE. read more

Unbelievably slow service - this place should not be in an airport where time is of the essence for travelers. The work crew clearly does not have the mindset to hustle which is the paramount need for serving people who must go places. The staff at this Cousins worked as slow as sloths. I wasted 15 minutes in line and left empty-handed, just like two other potential customers did. There was essentially no movement of the line. The "work" crew didn't seem to care; the slower they worked the fewer customers and less work they would have to do. I can't comment on the food at all because I did not have any there. read more

What in the hell is going on here. It's 10 o'clock in the morning. I stood there for six minutes. I'm the only person in there and they didn't even look at me. I had to lean over the counter and ask if they were open. When dude came to "take my order" (which is a stretch) he told me it was card-only, but not in communicable English, so I didn't understand what the hell he was saying. I said "what?" he said "it's card only because it's somebody else's register and I can't touch his money." I've never had a terrible Cousins sub before. This was just dreadful. I got the Italian Special - the meat was a weird color, the bread was dry and it barely had any oil and vinegar. The service was fine, but the food was overpriced and terrible. If I hadn't waited until I was on the plane to eat it, I'd have taken it back for a refund. :( read more

One of the worst fast food experiences I've ever had. It didn't seem like anyone was working and we walked in. Two people appeared, and they were definitely not happy to be there. No one greeted us even after I gave them a friendly hello. Our presence was met with Scowl and we were told they couldn't leave onions off half of a $20 15inch sub. One 15 inch sub, two chips, two drinks ran us $40. I expect to pay more in an airport, but I don't expect to be treated with hate. The second girl who made the sandwich is actually threw our bag down with a clunk and said "here ". I am not going to be stopping at any cousin subs from now on because this is probably an indication of a systemic problem in management of employees. Whoever manages this outlet obviously doesn't give a shit about the company name. I'm let me start out by saying that I love Cousin's. Ham & Provolone on Italian is my weakness. Simple, delicious. Thin sliced Milwaukee style onions. Oregano. Lots of mayo. Quality meat and cheese. I was pleasantly surprised to find one in concourse C MKE airport. Had to grab one before my flight home. Who care is I just ate a couple hours ago?! Streamlined ordering line. Properly staffed. Relatively clean. Diverse staff. Pretty friendly. They were a bit slower than I'm accustomed to and expected based on me being the only order at the time. I was going to give them 4 stars, but as I just finished my delicious sub, I had no choice but to give out the 5 stars. It's just so good! Prices seem to have a modest airport premium. Horrible. Definitely not the Cousins Subs we grew up on. Bread is old and stale and hardly anything inside to fill it up. Staff doesn't greet you, look at you or anything...I was only 1 of 2 customers at 12:30pm. I know airport food is supposed to be bad -- but this is well below bad airport food. Maybe their regular subs are better -- but I'll probably not return to find out. Because their breakfast sandwiches are the worst. The bad, dry bread completely overwhelms the meager ingredients -- egg, ham and cheese -- so it's completely flavorless. Some of the worst and most unprofessional employees I've experienced. As an employee of the airport, Cousins subs is often one of my stops for lunch. The workers are always to busy talking on the phone with their air pods their in ears. They hardly acknowledge your presence, myself and others have stood at the register for over 5 minutes while the workers blatantly ignore you, not to mention the wait time is always 10-20 minutes for 1 sub. They are often short staffed. I am constantly hearing unprofessional language, rudeness to customers, and a lack of customer service. What a bunch of CRAP!! One customer in line being helped, another employee is rearranging soda/water display at entrance and it is 5:52 on 6/8/21. I walk in with family of 5 ready to order. Worker asked the person behind the counter if we could still order. Counter employee says no more orders. We are inside the restaurant looking at menu. The worker rearranging display should have closed the entrance so we could not walk in. What store closes at 5:52? Total lack of customer service. Employees could give a crap about servicing costumers especially since we were already standing inside the restaurant. They should have let us be the last customer since we were inside. Problem is they cannot fire these employees because there would be no others to hire to replace them. My sub was good. The service other than the register was not nice. They didn't have any hot subs and were irritated it took me a second to find a new item. The fries sucked, we're expensive, undercooked, and small portion. They are French fries, don't be stingy. read more

Not a lot of choices for good order-and-go in the terminal so I grabbed a sub here to take with me on the plane. They were quick in getting me on my way and got my order correct. Has a limited menu. Royally messed up both my sub and my husband's. We were the only customers at the time. I ordered a Club with no onions or tomatoes. I received an Italian Special with onions. I am irritated by this location because they do not follow their posted hours. We are from WI originally but now live in AZ. We love Cousins subs and never miss an opportunity to visit as often as possible when we are back in town. Upon our return to AZ we were going to pick up some subs for the flight to bring home to our son as he could not come with this trip. This is all he wanted. I looked up online and saw they close at 8pm. We got to the restaurant at 6:55 and they had just closed. We missed them by minutes and they didn't feel bad at all that they closed early. I have been disappointed the last few times through the airport because this location has been closed. They were actually open this time when I went through. You can imagine my disappointment when I try to go there and they are only serving like 4 sandwiches... You should just be closed if you can't even serve half the menu.
