I tried calling this place last year for boarding and again this year and every time I call they tell me they will call me back. They call me back 3 hours later and give the run around. They start telling you all the services offered and the prices and then the man on the phone states "we are pretty solid booked, it will be spring break" I thought spring break was in March and not in February. Then he continues to say we can try and make some room, and would need to call you back. Are you still interested in making a reservation? Why can't they just tell someone yes or no? Is it that hard? I told the man I why did I want to make a reservation if he's telling me they're booked. Makes no sense at all. This place is a mess. Please go somewhere else! read more

I started taking my goldendoodle here for daycare since he was a puppy to start getting him socialized and he's loved it ever since! Every time we walk in he gets super excited and can't wait to play. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to do a tour because they stopped them due to Covid but I do see him in pictures on the screen of when he's played so everything looks great. We also started him on a grooming schedule every 6 weeks and it's perfect to keep his fur maintained and he comes out looking perfect! We are new to the area and this business attracted my attention based upon online reviews; however, my personal experience left much to be desired. We went for a tour and found the accommodations for the animals to be no different than any cages used by local animal shelters. We were assured by our tour guide (Ryan) that he would check availability for the dates we desired to board our pet and would call us back within the hour (note: timing was important, as we were making arrangements to enable travel for a wedding). By the next day we had still not heard back from Ryan. This, despite leaving a message requesting a call back. Finally, I called Coventry back and spoke to "Eugene", who once again said he would check availability (stating the facility had a capacity to board 40 dogs, the size of our pet) and would call back. After approximately an hour & a half Eugene called back & said Coventry could not provide service to us, as the facility was 'booked' for the dates we requested (indicating all 40 available spaces were reserved). While this is plausable, I could not help but wonder whether or not this would have been the case if Ryan had called us back within the hour, as promised; rather than letting 24 hours pass, in which additional reservations were received. All in all, while the facility may provide satisfactory pet service, I found the customer service to be unusually unprofessional, for a operation of this size, that had been in business as long as Coventry advertizes. I've been taking my dogs to Coventry for about 7 years now. Normal they are great but today my dog had a popping situation and after I cleaned it up I asked if I could use a sink to wash my hands and I was told know. Then I went to pay since my kid was going to pick our dog up and I was told they didn't know how much it was going to cost. I told them it always $54 and how did they not know what the price was? So since I had dog pop on my hands and I didn't want to deal with it at the time I left. They called me a few hours later and said it was going to be $63 now. I'm thinking I might want to start looking for a new growmer if this is how they are going to treat there customers now. I did ask to talk to a manager. The person I talked I'm not sure if she was a manger or not but she wasn't helpful either. 7-27-21 Since I left this review I can no longer make an appointment for dog grooming. Instead of calling me and apologizing or trying to explain their policy for safety purposes, their response is they have no more appointments for the year and that I can go on a waitlist. 7-28-21 I called the next day and asked like I was a new customer and I was told they had an opening within two weeks. So I can only assume because I left an honest review about how I was treated, I am now black-listed. read more

Not only do they make him look good, they also take good care of him while he is there! The Play Spa package allows him to get groomed and enjoy play time! The owner of Coventry is so gracious and cares for the dogs as well. At my most recent appointment, my dog had a hot spot on him and she showed me how to take care of him and offered extra care for my dog. If you can get your dog on the schedule here, do it! This place has such kind and approachable people working here. We love taking our dogs here and the fact they are willing to help a Mama out by bringing the dogs to the car so I didn't have to try to handle my toddler while getting the dogs into the car too. With it being on a busy street, that in itself takes a load of stress off of me. Our dogs always come home happy and are always so excited to hear us tell them they are going to "school" when we take them back. Prices are very reasonable for all services & we couldn't be more grateful for how much they helped our newly adopted Molly be able to enjoy being around other dogs again. We rescued her from being only a couple hours away from being euthanized in a Riverside kill shelter and so glad she is getting a real second chance at life not only in our home but at this wonderful place. It was always a great experience taking my corgi here for daycare! I would take him 2-3 times a week and he always had such a fun time and would be excited to go every day. The hours for drop off and pickup are perfect as well. I would've continued taking him here for daycare forever if we didn't move. The staff are mostly always kind and friendly, they were definitely knowledgeable, and I love that they have lots of other corgis that go here too! Plus, they have some great toys and chews for sale as well. I was apprehensive as a new dog owner leaving my boy with someone else other than myself, but I am so glad they do the temperament test before allowing new daycare guests. I called several weeks ago to reserve dates in October. I was told to call back in a few weeks to be closer to the dates. I called last Friday, only to have them tell me they would get back to me. 4 days later they finally call me back to tell me they have no reservations now, that I could do a "wait list". UPDATE: So we have decided go elsewhere for grooming. The first two times my pup went it was amazing, but I think they changed groomers on me or something because she isn't as detailed as the other groomer was. The groomer this time was Tania...she is not as good as Pam. My doggo is difficult to groom, I know, but she hasn't even been getting bows or anything. There isn't that attention to detail to there was before. Unfortunately today will be our last grooming there :( So my fluff ball here to get groomed today. She is a really bad girl when it comes to grooming. No groomer has been able to groom her, let alone put bows on her ears UNTIL today!!!! Pam did an amazing job with Mochi! I had my dog stay 3 days and he came out scared. When we picked him up we waited in the lobby 28 minutes while we watched 12 owners show up and pick up their dogs. Every time the door opened it wasn't our dog. We paid for a nail trimming that was supposed to be completed by 8am, and we didn't pick him up until 4pm and at that point they realized they hadn't trimmed his nails so they did it "real quick" while we waited more. All this after paying the highest rates with extra play times. This type of service makes me doubt that my dog got the care they said they would provide. I expected at least average service but got bad service. My experience here was poor and I won't be returning with my pets. Parking is sketchy in the tiny lot because you need to back out onto a major roadway to leave. The entrance is not intuitive, it feels like a back alley entrance. This place appears to be a "machine" for processing dogs and unless you stay your dog there daily or at least weekly, it seems like your dog is just a dog and not a special family member. I do not recommend spending any money for any services at this business until they can have a mindset that they are caring for loved ones, not dirty dogs. If you want to punish your animal, simply have them stay at Coventry Pet. read more

Unfortunately, my experiences for both dogs have both been very poor. The owner arbitrarily decided my older dog could not be groomed due to his age after we had been coming for over 10 yrs. Thankfully, I found Yucaipa Animal Hospital and the best groomer he has ever had. She is patient and gracious, extremely caring and highly competent. His age was never an issue and the grooming quality exceptional. My second dog, who had been coming since she was a puppy, initially did very well. However, the management seems to have abruptly become ridden with customer care issues and they will badger you continually if they are anxious about you arriving on time at the end of the day. . . . even if you are not going to be more than 2 or 3 minutes after their deadline. No courtesy and downright rude behavior on the part of one particular girl who manned the desk in the office. The best decision I made was to leave the establishment when I did. I just went in to check the facility for boarding. Polite greetings from the staff, so off to a good start. When I inquired about boarding, I was told that boarding was "problematic." ??? The website advertised boarding with various levels of service as well as corresponding rates. Ok, then I was required to fill out an information sheet "so that an account could be created" and a quote for the boarding. Ok. Now, I'm now waiting for the phone call. Oh yes I asked for a facility tour. "Tours are not allowed," states the manager. The website states that guests are welcome. Very weird place. Last straw. There are no responses to Yelp reviews. Our Yorkie gets so excited when we pull up to Coventry. He loves to play there for day care and has thrived when boarding. Be sure to sign up for the day care while boarding, the dogs play all day! I do appreciate that Coventry has staff on site 24/7 unlike some facilities that cage the dogs at night and leave the premises. I have a 2 year old female boxer that runs on the lean side. She was supposed to be fed 2 cups of food twice daily during her 3 day stay at Coventry. When I picked her up she was emaciated, and terrified. She has stayed at Coventry before and I didn't have this issue... so I know it was not just separation anxiety. When I took her home, she was shaking and had her tail between her legs for hours. She was so easily startled that she yelped when I took my sweater off and threw it over my arm. This is NOT normal behavior for her. She is a happy, playful, energetic puppy! I called Coventry the next day around 11am and let them know my concern. The man that took my call said there were no notes on my account about my dog's eating habits or behavior. He said he would speak to his supervisor and possibly anyone that had contact with my dog and get back to me. I received a voicemail at 5pm at night. REALLY??? My animal's welfare was SO important to them that it took 6 hours to return a phone call? Absolutely ridiculous. Over the next 2 days I received 2 more calls from the same man that took the original call and NEVER from a supervisor. I had to take my dog to the vet and she's now being treated for malnourishment. No one can say if she was abused or mistreated, but the vet agrees with me that her behavior was definitely abnormal. So now on top of the money I paid to Coventry for the less than stellar care of my animal, I am paying for special food and vitamins to put weight back onto her. I will never trust these people with the care of my animal. Good luck if you do. I read good reviews and I was excited to have a Pet Resort near home. I rescued a beagle from laboratory breeding at age 4 About eight months ago. We have been the Only true home she has ever known and we have not left her side for a day until recently. We decided to go on a weekend trip and we got lucky and were able to make a reservation to board her for the weekend. When I went in, to my surprise, I was not allowed to view the area that she would be staying in. There were no pictures on the website and it was a very uncomfortable situation once I was told no. I decided to be trusting and go with the reviews which I would later regret. We purchased the packet where she would be socialized throughout the day and go on three walks however, living close to the facility we have never seen anyone walking dogs from there. When we picked her up it was basically we had to trust that everything was done for her that was in the packet. They didn't have a leash to bring her out with which made us wonder what they were walking her with if they walked her to begin with. She didn't seem happy when we received her and when we got home we noticed several paws were irritated and skin was missing clearly from the nail grinder. Her paws are black naturally however, several paws were pink due to the skin being grinned off. It took a few weeks for it to heal. her paws were raw and tender And we figured this out right away when she kept licking them and whining. We weren't notified of any injuries we had to see it on our own once we got home. Our dog was in pain and irritated and we were mad! Never again! Our dog is our baby And we are sad that we took her somewhere to get injured and we were sad that we were not allowed to see her environment. On top of all that we picked her up two hours before her dinner time and when we asked if she was fed dinner they said no. So we waited for her dinner portion to be handed to us and the staff member went to the back and then came back and was unable to explain to us what happened to the food that was not fed to her yet. They didn't feed our dog! And that is exactly why it was the first time and last that we will ever use their services. Had to figure out a last minute dog sitter for our trip to Bear mountain and Coventry was a close enough sitter to Bear that would take our puppy on a Saturday without an assessment. We were told to come early to fill out more paperwork and to look around the place. We arrived right when they opened and the place looked busy (first perception: GOOD, they're busy so that means it's a great service). They took our puppy and said that we were all set. Less than one-minute inside the tiny office without even filling out any paperwork. Which is very convenient but also scary (is this what they do with every check-in?). We left her a serving of her food and they said that they'd mark it with her name and feed it to her at lunch. Came back after about 6-7 hours. At that point, they gave us the paperwork that we should have filled out initially and said to bring it in next time. Saying that they forgot and should see how it is on a "busy" day (apparently, what we saw in the morning wasn't as busy as weekdays). So I assume they overlook a lot more during the week. When our puppy came out she was eager to leave. Went straight to grass to potty (as if she held it in all day). We buckled her into the car and she looked sad. Driving off for our hour drive home, she wasn't responsive and stared off. There was traffic so we stopped at a strip mall and even though there was another dog there, she didn't care to say "hi." Instead she wanted to go inside restaurants and kept sniffing everywhere. And still wasn't responsive to her own name. I decided to call Coventry to get more info on her day: did she get to play with other dogs? was she segregated? did she eat? did they spoil her with treats? They passed the phone around and the jest of it was that she plays well with others (which we already knew), played with a small group of dogs ("less than usually"), they don't give treats and only feed them when instructed to, and ate half of her food. Stating that "she might be tired from playing." I'm sorry, but I know my dog. Yes, she'll be tired but she'd also be ecstatic with tongue out and very response (appreciative of the play day). Once we gave our puppy snacks to tide her over for our car ride, we was happy and responsive again. When we finally got home, she scarfed down two servings of food. She was starving. A puppy that supposedly played all day will eat all her food not just half. It does not seem like they fed her at all. Poor puppy was starved! read more

They won't allow you to reserve boarding farther in advance than 1 month, which makes it hard to take a vacation if you can't get confirmation of your acceptance. They explain they have to make sure they don't have too many dogs for staff to take care of, but if you know farther in advance what is being reserved you can build the staff around the reservations. They don't return calls or emails either. So sad, they seem like nice people, too. read more

I believe this facility to give decent care to your animals. I wish their charging practices were decent. We brought our dog in 4:45 almost closing on a thur night charged a full days price. Charge the same price for a full day friday with a play time which is an extra charge. We could not pick our dog up before closing as our daughter was not discharged yet. We picked our dog up on sat morning 30 min after opening charged a full day for sat plus a play time she may have had but most likely did not. I dont know about you but how is this fair or good practice. Also asked to be called by a supervisor but received no call. After giving Coventry $700 or so of our dollars in business we will no longer be bringing our dog here. No other facility has ever treated us like this. I guess they dont appreciated our repeated business. Watch your wallet n check your receipt. UPDATE: We received a call from a manager and given a full refund. Although I do not agree with pricing practice, this is a business of integrity and we will now return again with our dog when the need arises again. My mom Zen already reviewed this place but I figured I would too. My dog loves this place. We have toured the facilities twice. They are large, clean and all the dogs we saw were well taken care of. Loki goes 3 days a week for daycare. He loves it. They pair the dogs up based on temperment. Loki gets paired with another doodle dog named Dragon a lot. I think it is awesome they learn who your dog likes and then pair them up. The dogs play in pairs or small groups depending on size and temperment. This is better than a giant free for all because it prevents dogs from getting overwhelmed. The dogs also get breaks throughout the day so they arent over stimulated. The play areas are adjustable so the handlers can make them bigger for the bigger dogs. They play outside in a covered area that also has misters for when it is warm out. My dog gets so excited when he comes in for day care. All the staff are polite and friendly. He also gets groomed here. You can see the grooming area when you take a tour. My dog is part poodle and has to get his ear hair plucked or he gets infections. It is really hard to do this well (many groomers elsewhere have been inadequate) but coventrys groomers do an excellent job on his ears. He also gets a haircut and bath. His fur looks AMAZING after a bath here and the groomers do great haircuts. They also call the next day to make sure you are happy. If for some reason you arent happy let them know and they will fix it. We recently had him groomed and asked for "poodle feet" (very short shaved feet) and Pam was the groomer and his feet have never looked better. They are literally perfect. We made the mistake of bringing our dogs here when a certain nearby ranch was completely booked. While the entrance is very nice and clean, the staff blatantly lie to you about your dog. Our dogs came home dirty, parched, starving, and needing to go out immediately. There is no grass at Coventry, so your options are letting your dog get into the habit of having accidents on concrete floors or them holding it all day. If you take the time to tour this facility, which looks just like a dirty pound, you would not allow your fur babies anywhere near this place. It is more of a kennel than a "resort." The dogs have very little space and are locked in a tiny area with two other dogs. I asked what happens if a fight occurs and the staff member told me, "That never happens here! The dogs are 100 percent safe." Um, what? Avoid Coventry at all costs. read more

After my chihuahua Corkie's companion passed away, she was a mess staying home by herself while I was at work. Two friends (with VERY SPOILED dogs) recommended Coventry's daycare. Corkie loved it! She'd wait by the front door ready to go in the morning, happily greet the staff behind the counter when we arrive, and be pleasantly pooped when I'd pick her up. Kim would always tell me that she played really hard. (Corkie is playful when she's comfortable.) My boyfriend takes his bulldog Upton there for grooming and today his first day of daycare. Upton is scared and anxious with strangers, but he LOVES all the gals and guys at Coventry. He goes straight into happy-wiggle-butt-please-rub-my-belly mode here. We love and recommend Coventry. We've never had a bad experience here and we continue to trust them. The punch card daycare system is very reasonably priced. read more

1. They never call you back. 2. They tell you to call a month in advance to book. Then when you do they say you have to call less than a month in advance. Then when you call less, they say you have to call several months in advance. They give you the RUN AROUND and will not let you book unless you're a very high paying client. Me and my dog are being punished for this very reason. Reading the other reviews confirms this lol I used to bring my dog here all the time and loved it! Ryan was the best! But within the past 2 years, I've called probably 15 times to try and get my 10-lbs, people-loving dog in, but every single time I call they can't seem to get me scheduled. They never call me back, are always booked up, and have literally been straight up ignoring. I wish they would just be honest with me if my dog did something wrong and they don't want to take him anymore. Very disappointing communication and poor customer service. This place has become an absolute joke. We've been boarding our family dogs here since I was a child. And I've boarded my current dog multiple times. However, within the last two years it's been impossible to get her booked for boarding. The first time they said they were "fully booked" and it was due to "staffing". So this time I called 2 and a half months in advance! They told me it was too early and they start booking the month prior. So I made a reminder for myself to call at that time. I recalled on the exact date and got the same information. It's too early. We aren't booking. They told me then to call about 3 weeks before my boarding dates... ok. But the last time I did that you told me it was already booked up. So they told me they'd put me on a "wait list" and someone would reach out to me. I called again 3 weeks ahead because I hadn't heard anything from them and they just said they'd contact me when they had more info about staffing. Ridiculous. I ended up making her a reservation at HollyWoofWoof in Yucaipa in the meantime. And only THREE DAYS before my requested reservation date did they bother calling me to tell me they are "fully booked". Absolute joke. Don't even bother calling for overnight boarding. read more
