Too bad there are no zeros. I took my vehicle to Lincoln for an oil change. They suggested that I get some other services as well, so I said ok. Got my vehicle back and now the check engine light comes on. I called to let them know that and that there was nothing wrong with my vehicle before I brought it to them. They asked me if I could drop it off, I said do you have a loaner? They didn't have any loaners, which was an inconvenient to me, because I have to find a way to work and from work. I dropped the vehicle off the night before. I waited and waited for a call. They never called and acknowledged that they looked at my vehicle. I had to called them around 4:30 to get an update. Thomas my service rep. conveniently says oh yeah there looking at your vehicle now. So I went on tell him my vehicle was fine before I brought it in for service. He said it has nothing to do with the service that they preformed. THOMAS my service rep was so nonchalant about everything. He explained that I needed spark plugs and a vapor vent valve. It would cost me $929. I just spent $500. I called and left a message with Gene one of the services managers, not sure if he was off already. I never received a call back.. Someone needs to go undercover I truly believe they did something to my vehicle to try and get more money out of me read more

My entire experience with the team at Covert Ford was excellent from start to finish! It all started when my Ford Escape did something funny on my lunch break and almost felt like it was going to die. My husband who usually handles the car stuff was out of state all week with work. I decided to call Covert because they were close to my work. After explaining my situation they made room for me and got me right in. I worked with Austin in the service department where I was greeted with a smile and reassured me that I was in good hands. They gave me a loner that was even the same make of vehicle. I asked Austin if he could please keep me in the loop as they find out the problem and give me pricing along the way. He said he would, and he did just that. Recently purchased a used F150 FX4 from Covert Ford-Lincoln (Salesperson - Monty Saberi). I dropped in on Sunday to look at used trucks (F250s, F150s, Others), and Monty could not have been nicer and more patient (I brought both kids-haha). Start to finish...terrible! Service advisor didn't bother to give me a loaner even though I have an extended warranty that covers. He was just going to shuttle me home until I said I can't be without a car for 2 weeks. Then they dropped me off at Enterprise which is covered up to $30 a day, so I had out of pocket overages. Took three weeks to fix my door lock and they didn't bother to check the transmission issue (said they didn't, but it was acting up the same day). They offered to pick me up at enterprise at 7:45am, as I needed to be on the road by 9. The driver picked me up at 8:40 after I called several times, he was eating Burger King, coughed several times (Covid)...when he saw I was uncomfortable he put his mask on. At the dealership the directed me to the cashier to pay my deductible m, gave me my keys and pointed out front. No service advisor...my car had two shop towels in it so clearly it wasn't cleaned or disinfected. I've asked the dealership several times how I get my $800 back for the rental car through the warranty and no one has bothered. They did call to ask about my experience and I was told the service director would be calling to address my concerns. Still hasn't happened...and I'm still trying to collect my $800 for the warrant covered rental. And I have to take my car to another dealership to get the transmission properly looked at. It was pre-owned with 9,430 miles on the clock, and I must say I could not believe it was a used vehicle. My experience for buying a car at Covert Ford was very pleasurable. I am usually very leery of car salesmen, because I never feel they are telling the complete truth. Fred Soltani was a different kind of salesman. I found the car I was looking for online and sent in an email request to schedule a test drive. I was contacted by Fred both by email and phone to set up the appointment. When I arrived for the appointment the car was ready to go and he handed me the keys to take a test drive by myself, which I really appreciated. When I look for a car I want to form my own opinions and not have some salesman telling me what I should think. The car was exactly what I was looking for, but it was a little out of my price range. Fred found another car of the same model, but a different color and no sun roof that exactly in my price range. He let me take the car home and really think about my decision with no extra pressure from him. I do wish I could have gotten more for my trade-in, but Fred was able to bump it up a little bit to get the new car price where I wanted it. Overall it was great experience. read more

The salesman Burt Sheppard was outstanding, I was able to complete 99% of the transaction over the phone and through email since I was out of town. In addition, Burt coordinated getting accessories installed on the truck even prior to me being at the dealership in person. And finally, after the sale Burt recognized I had a rental car and he picked up the phone and found a local Avis drop off location just a few blocks from the dealership, then Burt himself drove my rental car to turn it in. I showed up in the Covert Ford showroom at 10:30 AM on a Wednesday and the place was crawling with people. I ask the receptionist what was going on and she told me "end of the month ". They must sell all their cars the last couple of days of the month! Who knew?! In spite of how busy the were, my Scottish/Mexican salesman, Jose Mackintosh, spent a lot of time with me and found me just what I wanted. Jose was very responsive even after the sale was done. Since I bought a "demo" with 4500 miles on it, I got to thinking the oil should be changed. I call Jose the day after I bought the car and ask if he would have the make ready guys do an oil change. Without hesitation he assured me he would take care of it. This is my 5th Ford pick up since 2000, but the first I've bought from Covert. My wife and I had an appointment on Sunday, the service from the sales lady was great. The finance women was absolutely disrespectful and she smelled of alcohol. They ran my credit four times, that is ridiculous. My score was a Tier one, before they ran it four times. My wife and I walked out of the finance office, appalled at the lack of service. Watch out for bait and switch. I shopped online and got a text message stating "I am happy to confirm 100% that the [price] + TTL price that you quoted is correct." I drove to Austin early the next morning from out of town and was told the owner was driving the car and hadn't come in yet. Just after 4 pm I was told the owner had come in but had added $3,000 of accessories and the price was now $3,000 higher. Sad this treatment comes from an business that touts their family business. read more

My husband and I drove in from San Antonio yesterday to test drive 1 2017 Ford Explorer XLT we saw online. We were pre-approved for a loan hoping that would help make our transaction seamless and were in contact with a salesperson via email and took care of some of the negotiating that way. Pricing: The vehicle had everything I was looking for and we were offered an initial price via email. Beginning the negotiation process, my husband asked for a lower price, within $3,000 of what was offered knowing they'd come back somewhere in the middle (which was our price point). Our sales rep came back with something about $1800 less than the initial quote and $1200 more than my husbands OTD asking price. Pretty fair. So we take a Friday afternoon off of work and drive to Austin to test drive. They had the car cleaned and in the front waiting to test drive when we arrived. The test drive itself was nice, they let you take the car without a salesperson. We return to talk numbers. The sales person immediately attempts to tell us he made a mistake in the final emailed OTD quote we had in hand and would likely not be able to honor it but would honor the very initial OTD quote we were given. Already, this begins to upset us as we drove to Austin from SA FOR THAT PRICE. He goes to talk to his manager and uses the tactic of 'this was my mistake when I ran the numbers and my manager is going to honor it this time but next time he says I'm going to have to pay the difference." We ask to speak to that manager to attempt to negotiate a little more. Note: A) I wouldn't have driven from San Antonio in rush hour traffic if I wasn't willing to pay the final OTD price they gave us and B) what does it hurt, they do it to us. The manager, Ilan, comes around with a smug smirk on his face and completely angered my husband and I. We felt his approach and the way he spoke to us was incredibly condescending. The only thing he said when he sat down was "This is the best I can do. You drove two hours for this car and it's the best deal you're going to get in a 400 mile radius, you can check....had you called me and told me you thought the price we gave you was still too high, I would have told you don't even waste your time driving over here. If it's not the car for you, then it's not the car for you." At this point, though we knew it was good deal, we were ready to walk out purely based on lack of customer service skills. We talk amongst ourselves and then tell our sales person we are ready to walk because of Ilan's condescending approach and asked him to try one more time and send us someone who is going to want to sell us a car and make us feel like we were talking to someone trying to earn our business. In comes Chris, another manager. He was incredibly personable and polite and spoke to us candidly about their inability to come any lower. He actually stated "I would love to earn your business" and approached us appropriately. He took time to fully answer all of the questions we had and did not pressure us at all. Chris calmed us down and we decided to purchase the vehicle as we knew the OTD price they decided to "honor" was a good deal based on the extensive research we had done. After this, the process was smooth. We spent about 15 minutes in finance with Travis who was also polite and personable. Overall, I would recommend covert for their competitive prices and ease of purchase once you reach that point. I'd give our sales rep a 4/5 star, Manager Chris a 5/5 star, and finance a 5/5 star. However, I would give the manager, Ilan, a 0/5 star for his lack of customer service skills and condescending demeanor. read more

So I found a truck that I liked at Covert Ford while looking online. I called the dealership to inquire about it and was connected with a sales person. I live in New Braunfels so I had to send photos of my trade to them to get an idea of value. To make this part short the sales person told me that they spoke with the manager and came back with a number that we agreed on. When I was able to drive up to the dealership on Sunday I was given another sales person to work with. My wife and two sons (2 and 4) were with me. We thought this would be a fast trip since we already had a pre approval with the lender and had spoken with the dealership. We were dead wrong we sat there from almost 2 hours and when we had had enough and were ready to leave they had just completed the appraisal on our trade. We ended up leaving because the sales person couldn't give me a straight answer on the cost of the truck. The following day I called the dealership and asked to speak with a manager. I explained everything to the manager and he apologized and said he would look at the numbers and get back with me. What he did was have another sales person contact with me and offer me a deal that was 3k over what had previously been agreed upon. I told him thanks but no thanks the deal was too high. At one point when I asked the sales person a question about the deal via text he said "I'm too busy right now." This dealership obviously does so much business that customer service is not a concern for them. I was looking at purchasing a brand new 80k truck with a pre approval in hand. The customer service was a complete deal breaker. The salesperson wasn't knowledgeable about the car at all. To start off he didn't even introduce himself or bother to shake my hand. After briefly talking to him it was clear that he didn't know much about the car. When he did led us to the car he realized that he forgot the keys.
