Finding a good and honest auto mechanic is hard these days especially if you're a woman! I live in La Mirada- however I was recommended to this place by my brother who lives close by this shop and the mechanic Joe has worked on a couple of my brother's cars. I drove my vehicle in because it had an oil leak- it seemed I was always having to top off the oil every 4 days because I drive a lot. I took the car in on Tuesday after Labor Day and met Joe- I explained to him what the problem was and he said to bring the car back Wednesday morning at 8am because he was swamped with work. So yesterday morning I took my vehicle in I reminded him why I was there and immediately he pulled it in - raised it up and found the problem- gave me an estimate and also an estimated time it would be ready. I called an hour before the time he said it would be ready and he told me that it was all done and he changed 3 items including valve cover gasket- an o ring and a seal. Got this shop recommended by a friend and I'm definitely glad I came to check it out. As others have said Joe is definitely honest and on top of that gave me a far better price for repair than a lot of other mechanics that I called. I had originally called Joe to get a price on my timing belt and water pump that had started leaking. Instead of just telling me the price and doing the repair, Joe suggested that I replace the other belts and radiator hoses while we were at it and even wrote me a list of what I should buy! The price beat every other mechanic that I had called if they had just done the work that I was asking. On top of that I got to pick up my car after work on the same day that I dropped it off. The only slight drawback is that it appeared that it was just Joe and 1 other mechanic working on the cars, but at the same time that means that my car got the utmost attention from the mechanic and owner Joe. I definitely recommend this shop, but would highly suggest asking what the best time of dropping off your vehicle would be, so that both you and Joe can know when the car will be completed as I had done before dropping it off. Came to this shop because of a friend recommendation and I am very happy with the results. I needed an oil change but the Lexus dealership was going to break my piggy bank with their quotes.
