This place has terrible customer service. I was a new patient scheduled for a cleaning. In the morning of my appointment I get a text saying they needed to cancel my appointment "due to unforeseen circumstances". They didn't even have the decency to call me to cancel the appointment. They chose to send a text. When I called to find out what happened, the lady says it was canceled because they are short staffed. Really?!!! She asked if I wanted to reschedule! For what, so you can cancel my appointment again?! No thank you. Don't waste your time. read more

These jokers did a crown for me and it started to hurt really bad, when I called for an emergency appointment, they wouldn't see me, they said that i have to wait eight days for an appointment. During a tooth Extraction the Dentist damaged the tooth next to it by Breaking a new crown that I just paid for at another dentist office the dentist at Covington Center for family refused to replace the crown he broke unless I pay over a $1000 with insurance I was just told that Unfortunately, accidents happens and it's the patient responsibility to pay for these accidents and if I want it done for free, I needed to go back to the dentist office that put it in even though Covington Center for Family Dentistry negligence. read more

So far the best dental practice I've been too! I'm 27 now so I def been to a lot! The office staff is super nice from the ones I've encountered! I office is new but super clean and professional! I love all the bobble heads (which are in all the offices) and I love the whole set up! They even have tvs above you as your getting treatments done! I don't have insurance but they do offer an in house discount plan which will help if you need work done and includes 2 yearly cleanings and xrays etc. I got my first xray and exam for free which is the reason why I went! I was able to get an appointment very quickly as well. I will be returning in a few days for my cleaning and treatments. Where was this place 2 years ago!?! lol UPDATE: So far, I've gotten a cleaning as well as a deep cleaning and my feelings are even better about this place! No complaints! This chain dentistry is only interested, and how much they can upsell you for treatment plans! I have never had so much trouble getting a cleaning in my entire life. I have been having regular cleanings every six months for over 40 years and now all of a sudden I need special cleaning, and just because a temp hygienist cleaned my teeth the last time, they now need to repeat everything again, which, by the way, my insurance does not cover. They were ready to take x-rays until I question insurance coverage. What a scam! read more

I had the same exact experience as the last reviewer. The cost wasn't as high but I just wanted a regular cleaning like the good old days. They diagnosed me with periodontitis when I didn't even have any build up to remove. The hygienist herself said my teeth looked great and my home care was good. Called and explained I had a huge abscess under a back molar crown which needed to be extracted on an emergency basis. They offered me a scheduled consultation weeks from now and to put me on a cancellation list to "try and get in sooner". No clue on how to handle emergencies. I explained I had seen a periodontist and endodontist, had current 3-d images of the problem which I'd be happy to send, and please get me in asap. Nope. Not a thing. The woman who answered the phone even had the audacity to say that there were emergencies all the time and they just couldn't keep changing their regular appointments to accommodate me. INCREDIBLY RUDE. They are one of the few who take my insurance. Unfortunately, I'm encountering this complete lack of patient care and compassion at every level and with every local oral surgeon. They just don't care anymore. And the staff is poorly trained on answering these calls. read more

BEWARE! When you schedule your appointment make sure that you know what they're going to do. I took off from work to go to this dentist to have a cleaning performed. I couldn't go to my other dentist because they were located in Atlanta. I came in 10 minutes early for the appointment and sat 20 minutes waiting to be seen. I previously had an appointment and came late and they didn't take me, so I wanted to make sure I came this time, on time. They took me back finally and did x-rays. Then the doctor came in and did a gum/teeth exam. I was expecting to have a cleaning that day and was then told to go to the waiting room and they would do a write up on how much it would cost and do scheduling. I asked the woman that was taking the measurement of my teeth was she going to do the cleaning now and she said no. She said I needed a deep cleaning. She said that I would have to talk to a representative and they would schedule me for the cleaning. I was pissed! So I sat another 15 minutes waiting for somebody to come talk to me. I finally went to the desk and told them I had to leave. They said a representative would talk to me soon. I went back to the back and talked to rep finally who gave me a whole list of a lot of high costs. They said the cleaning would take a total of two days because I had periodontal disease. The total cost for everything they wanted me to pay for outside of what the dental insurance covered was almost $4000. The cost for them to do a "extensive cleaning was almost $500 out-of-pocket and it would take over two days. Where are the days when dentist cleaned your teeth and they did it without any extra charges. I believe this is the way this dentist is just overcharging and gouging people. I was sitting while waiting, I read a review from Google or yelp and it stated that this dentist gave the same diagnosis as mine, and they went somewhere else and was told that was not true. So it makes me wonder does this dentistry tell everybody the same thing to make them pay higher cost. I contacted the insurance company and they said this dentist had never contacted them to put in a claim for this amount. Therefore, they should not have giving me those costs. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Plus the fact that we are in a pandemic, and and one of the young ladies doing the x-ray had her mask off. Asks for costs upfront!! read more

If you have tricare don't go to them. They don't know how to send the referral correctly and they when they do submit a claim to tricare they don't wait until it's approved by them to do work. Even when you call them multiple times for them to submit the claim they still don't do it right and they take their time. And when I went to get temp crowns one of them was placed on there incorrectly and it came off three days later ‍ read more

BEWARE! Do not go there! Some of the same are nice and polite however Dr. Salvador is the most arrogant person I've ever met! It is a shame he is a dentist but lacks the vocation of one. If you dare question him he will talks down to you as if you were ignorant. I really like the people at this facility. If I didn't, I wouldn't drive from an hour away to utilize their services. However, their inability to see patients in a timely manner is maddening. I make appointments first thing in the morning to avoid such delays, but it never fails. Today, a hygienist called out. I saw plenty folks leave, but only one person called back. When I asked after 30min of waiting, it was only then that I was told of the delay. I'll give them one more chance, but then I'll have to go elsewhere. TVs in the patient stalls are not enough to make up for my lost time. read more

Pay for service first!! Fast food you pay for before you get it but you know what to expect. Not so at this business. I was diagnosed with periodontal disease and bone loss would prevent having an implant. A second opinion ata periodontal specialist - 1) no sign of gum disease; and, 2) no bone loss. Took almost two weeks to get x-rays transferred. This dental practice is more bottom line oriented than patient oriented. Takes 30 days to get a refund. And, should you forget your checkbook, even though you have a credit, they send you home to fetch it before they will provide service. Pay up front, receive dental treatment you don't need, wait 30 days for a refund - I do not recommend this dental practice!!!! read more

This place has always been incredible, and I am so thrilled that it is just 10 minutes from where I live. I have gum disease so I have constant issues with my teeth and gums. I also have an innate fear of the dentist. These folks are fantastic though and made me feel so comfortable. They are understanding and patient with total regard for a patient's fear. Today, my husband woke up with a massive toothache. It's Saturday, the day when toothaches happen for some reason, and they fit us in because they knew he was in such pain. I love this place.The staff is genuine and so very nice. They also have this great dental insurance plan that is way better than most insurances we've had in the past. Also, I might mention that neither of us have great teeth inherently. This is one of the reasons we fear going to the dentist where everyone's teeth seem so much better than ours, however, we have never once been judged. I highly recommend Covington Center for Family Dentistry. They have a wonderful staff and the kindest office manager I've ever met. Also, first time customers receive a free exam and free x-rays. I was so nervous coming in for my cleaning. its been years and i have no insurance. The dentistry made me feel very welcomed and did a great job. They discussed in detail my payments plans, their rewards card, my dental health and gave me a lot of great tips to improve it. I highly suggest coming here if you do not have insurance like me or just afraid to go. Had four visits, looking for a good office now. Had a deep cleaning, this made me a periodontal patient. I scheduled a regular cleaning, I was denied this service and told by the office manager that by law they had to do periodontal maintenance. My insurance pays for two cleanings and exams per year. not periodontal maintenance. I now have two crowns I need done very soon and no dentist. I don't like being bullied into paying out of pocket when I don't need to. read more
