I was hungry for something not greasy fast food, and was drawn to the idea of snagging a deli sandwich while here. I did not expect the sheer incredible variety of food goods available here. Every aisle we browsed was like an exclamation of pointing and going "ooh!" I wanted to buy SO MUCH absolutely delicious looking stuff (especially the fruit-topped cheesecakes, pastries, and cookies... drool), as well as the various ingredients and spices and sauces and pickled veg. They had a huge pop-it-yourself popcorn selection, for example. Tons of pasta shapes. Even milk of many flavors in reusable glass (if only the world could go back to that sustainable model!). The worst part is, I only got a couple things, fully intending to stop again on our way back to Minnesota. But we left for home Sunday, when it wasn't open. It was a foolish error on my part indeed, one which I will likely never live down (until we come back out this way, and you can bet your ass I'll drop at least a hundo in here, maybe two!). The ice cream and the vibes are so cool! The vibes are very cozy and the staff are hard workers. You can also sample some of their ice cream, many of which have very creative names! (See my picture of the bourbon ice cream, "Exhausted Parent"). There are three sizes you can get, generally 1, 2, or 3 scoops. The "small" is 2 scoops and cost a little over $5. I got myself the small as a post dinner dessert with my boyfriend and some of our friends on a crisp April day in 2026. One scoop was the oatmeal cookie chocolate chip, one of the best ice creams I have had in a while, and the other scoop was called Fat Elvis, also pretty good, although it could have had more texture. They rotate their flavors sort of regularly so maybe next time I visit, I'll find a new favorite! As for now, the oatmeal cookie chocolate chip is my favorite flavor here. Yum!
