Tried Cowabunga! Pizza Pies in Bridgeport and it's such a fun spot for kids. Huge NY-style slices packed with flavor for around $8-9 a slice. There's only a couple picnic tables outside, so maybe not ideal for big groups, but there's a park nearby which makes it easy with kids. The pizza was really good, the vibe was fun, and my kids loved it. we will definitely be back!

I ordered a slice each of: 1. Cowabunga Special - pepperoni, sausage, mushroom, red onion, green pepper 2. April O'Neil - Spinach, Garlic, Grilled Chicken, Tomato, Pecorino Romano (White Pie) Who knows how long the slices are sitting in the glass but they reheat the individual slices in the oven so it comes out hot and crispy. Maybe the quality is better if I got a fresh whole pie but regardless, the individual slices were tasty. Slices were floppy, not very crispy, but still nice chew. Toppings are generous and evenly distributed. No issues with service. Limited seating inside.

20/10 of neighborhood staple that reminds me of the classic NY style pizza that's all ninja turtle fans love! The owner is amazing always doing family activities to bring the community in! You can play board games as you wait or post-meal! If you order online understand this a small business and everything is made from scratch! Want to get a peek into the process? Just step inside to see the chefs in actions flipping, spinning, and spreading pizza love Wed- Sunday! Family faves: Donatello (meat lovers), Cowabunga Special (supreme pizza) , and ofc classic pepperoni! Fun fact you can earn free slices through points! I've had a few and it comes in handy with a house of 5!

Cute decor. Service was great. Pizza was ok. Very small, only 5 stools at a counter and 2 picnic tables outside. My 6 year old grandson liked it.

Unique ninja turtle themed pizza shop. A variety of pizzas are available. Tried Chicken BBQ and Cheese. Both were great.

Hidden Gem Alert! I love checking out local spots that actually live up to the hype--and this Ninja Turtle-themed pizza joint definitely does. I passed by one day and was instantly intrigued, and now I've been back three times. Every visit has been a hit. The customer service is always top-tier--super friendly and welcoming. The place is small, but it's just the right size to grab your food and go. And the pizza? Unique flavors that will not disappoint. A fun, tasty experience every time.

This is both dine in and takeout. They have several chairs inside as well as tables outside. This is worth going to if you were ever a fan of TMNT or just want a NY style pizza. They have a lot of memorabilia, games (I believe one has to be fixed), and TMNT movie on TV. We got two 20" pizzas, April O'Neil and Casey Jones. The toppings were great and there was a good amount of meat. Customer service was very friendly. My pizzas were finished before the scheduled pick up time. Both pizzas were delicious. Only criticism would be that the crust could be a bit crispier. I prefer less chew.

Duuuude! This pizza is like totally radical! No bogus pizza here. These guys are just slanging some totally bodacious pies in the 'hood. Make you wanna slap yo mama and yell' Booyakasha" after declaring that its turtle time!! Fun nostalgic little NY slice pizza spot in the hood. Living in the area over 5 years now, I am loving all the cool places pooping up. Loved bringing my daughter here for a mommy/daughter date night to share some pies and little lady talk on their patio on a gorgeous summer night. Bitchin pies, my dudes.

Great new pizza spot that just opened in Bridgeport, just down the street from Maria's on 31st. It's been a welcome addition to the neighborhood, specializing in NY style slices, to compliment the more traditional Chicago pizza style places that are already in the area. They have a wide variety of topping choices, with various meats and sauces and vegetables on top. I've tried 4 different ones so far, all really good. While the inside is small, it's filled with a ton of 80s/90s nostalgia, from retro video games to VHS tapes to other cool decorations on the walls. The owner is very cool and friendly, and seems like this was definitely a passion project of his to start. The only downside is that it's only open half the week. Hopefully as it grows in popularity it will be open more days. Will definitely become a regular here!

Pizza is good excellent dough. The only thing is they don't give you any napkins when you take a slice to go.

The wood‑paneled coziness,…read morethe dim lighting, the slightly chaotic entryway where a host with a clipboard controls the fate of your evening... it all sets the tone for a meal that's equal parts ritual and indulgence. They push the Mediterranean Bread, and honestly, you should let them. It's enormous, blistered, fragrant, and arrives like a hot air balloon made of carbs. More importantly, it gives you something genuinely delicious to tear into while you wait for the pizza pot pies to emerge from whatever subterranean chamber they're baked in. It's both a starter and a survival tool. A reservation is non‑negotiable unless you enjoy contemplating your own mortality in a weekend crowd. The wait times can stretch so long you could starve to death before your name is called -- and the regulars will nod knowingly as they step around your skeleton. Plan ahead. The salads are comically oversized, the kind of portions that make you wonder if they're meant for a family of four or a single very determined marathon runner. But let's be honest: no one is here for lettuce. We're all here for the pizza pot pie, that molten, bread‑wrapped, cheese‑laden dome of joy that defies every attempt at categorization. It's not deep dish, it's not thin crust -- it's its own thing entirely, and that's the point. This is the place you bring out‑of‑town guests when you want to show them something uniquely Chicago without defaulting to the usual deep‑dish suspects. But it's also the place you come back to on your own, because once you've had that pizza pot pie, it lives rent‑free in your brain until you return.

He recommended some great items on the menu, checked in at just the right times without ever hovering, and somehow managed to get our food out incredibly quickly. It deserves a 5-star review on its own. We're not sure if it's included with the service, but it definitely made everything taste better! A huge thank you to Adam for making our visit so memorable. Great food, even better service, and we'll definitely be back. If you're lucky enough to have Adam as your server, you're in for a fantastic meal and a few laughs too!

I got there and there was about 15 people in front of me in line. The hostess was really nice and because I was there by myself, she called up to the bar to see if there was any seats at the bar so I didn't have to wait. I found out that Chicago style pizza takes about 45 minutes to cook, but I was willing to wait. After about an hour I asked where the pizza was, and they said "we lost it". Although I was disappointed that I had waited so long , they were accommodating and apologetic, and took ownership, which I really respected and appreciated. They said they could get me another pizza quicker than 45 minutes, so in total I waited about an hour and a half. They asked me if there's any appetizers I wanted for free or drinks and because I didn't wanna fill up before my pizza and I had already had a salad , I declined. The pizza came out and it was absolutely delicious. Was it worth the wait? Because I didn't have anything else that evening for a while that I needed to do, it was worth it. If I had been in a rush, it would've been a different story. The hostess, the bartender/waiter and the manager were all very nice and attentive. I had a great time at the bar socializing with people from different parts of the country. I would definitely recommend Giordano's.
