Reggie's is a "no frills" slice of pizza place for $6.00 a slice with a can of pop nestled inside O'Neil's Pub. The counterman is friendly and will get your slice ready to go in no time. It's a good size slice that looks better than it taste. I'm hard pressed to give it three stars, I'd give 2 1/2 stars if they could split the difference. I visited this place thinking it was Reggio's pizza which is an iconic black-owned pizza chain. Despite noticing my mistake I still decided to try it out. It's located inside of the bar. Reggie's pizza is tucked away in the corner. It's a really small space that I noticed everyone inside was ignoring. You can get a slice & a soda for $6.50 (prices oddly seem to vary depending ln the customer if you look through the reviews) although there's no apparent list of toppings or menu items anywhere from what I saw. I'm pretty much in agreement with the other reviewers in terms of the pizza looking better than it tastes. It's subpar at worst & ok at best. Despite it sitting on the rack then being put in the oven to be reheated...the dough was still uncooked in some areas. The cheese is perfectly browned & there's a decent amount of sausage. The sauce was lackluster. The main pro is that the slices are big although not Bacci's big. They're served like a New York slice of which the owner tries his best to convince Chicagoans to let him slice it into smaller pieces for them (must be due to past confusion or waste.) I did end up throwing the last 1/5th of pizza I had left away, but not because I was full...I just didn't feel like eating subpar pizza anymore. The whole time the bar wasn't that busy. There were a couple of guys playing eachother in darts which was somewhat entertaining since one of them was hilariously bad as well as cheating. read more

For me being my first time here, it was really confusing because you walk into a bar, people are looking at you all weird because you don't see anything related to pizza, until at a far distance in the back corner of the bar, you see a small pizza sign where they serve pizza. Must be it! I went with two slices of pepperoni and sausage. Two slices plus a can of soda for $8. Not a bad deal. Honestly, the pizza was whatever. You can tell the sausage wasn't home made or anything. I rather get pizza at Beatrix Market. It's a good deal if you're looking for a quick bite, but there are better options around. On a good day, you can have your order in a few minutes which sometimes in downtown Chicago can be hard to find. For $3.75 a slice, it's pretty good. Well, the service is good, the slice is huge, and the price is constant whether you have cheese, pepperoni, sausage, or a comination. Don't forget the grated parmesean (from can, not fresh) and the crushed red pepper! There's a bar too but it's a different business and called Alcocks so I won't include anything about it in this review. Reggie's just sublets the back corner of the bar. They also started serving Italian beef and sausage sandwiches but I have yet to try one. Maybe next time I'll see if they can put some Italian beef on a slice for me... now that's amore! Read reviews here so decided to try this place instead of City Pizza. I had a bit of trouble finding it initially as I was coming from North-East so went in the "back door" and not from Wells - but that turned out to be better since Reggie's pizza is inside the bar in the back corner. The deal is two slices and a pop for $5.90 ($6.50 with tax). I got a slice of pepperoni and one slice of sausage. It was heated up, thrown on a paper plate with a clear "sheet" over it (for both slices) and then tossed into the "pizza" bag. I then walked quickly to work (it's cold after all!) The crust was different between the two slices as the pepperoni slice was a bit more "done" - so I could hold it by the crust with one hand without it "bending". Wasn't "over done" for my taste so it was fine if a bit crunchy. The sausage slice wasn't as done and more flexible so had to be more careful with that slice. The sausage almost looked like a cheese slice at first, but then I noticed the bit's of sausage on it. The sauce was missing for the most part. I guess there was a very light application of sauce as there seemed to be a bit dried up on the very ends where the toppings meet the end crust. I like my pizza with a bit more sauce - at least have SOME sauce on it. Overall it's what you'd expect for cheap pizza, perhaps a slightly better deal considering it is downtown so 3 stars instead of a "meh" two stars. read more

Alright, where to start with Reggie's.... After Bacci's closed on Washington & Wells, my heart was shattered into a million pieces. I would always be the envy of my co-workers. One day, while mourning the loss of Bacci's jumbo slice, I was in the mood for pizza. While there is an Italian place in the Sears Tower, where I work, I've never had the courage to venture down there because it's always slammed during lunch. That's when I remembered meeting a friend at Reggie's a few times and decided to finally try it for myself. Now, onto the food. At first taste, this pizza is phenomenal, but GREASY. Usually I don't notice grease, but it was hard not to on this pizza. That said though, what's a pizza without some grease? And two slices for 5.50? You can forget about it. One is usually enough to fill me up, but about an hour or two later I'm rarin' for the second one. While I can't recommend eating here on a day to day basis, just because of the sheer amount of grease, if you're in the mood for good pizza, look no further than Reggie's for your fix. read more

The slice is warmed up before it's served to you so it's nice and hot. Cash only. Located inside an Irish pub. There are some other things on the menu as well (lasagna, beef and sausage sandwich, etc.) that I haven't tried yet.
