I'm very impressed with this little hole in the wall. It's a funky little place that looks like it hasn't been touched in 50 years, but the service is impeccable! Our waitress (don't know her name because they don't wear name tags) apologized for the wait getting to us, but it had only been 1.5-2 minutes. Food came out fast and was cooked perfectly, even asking for hash browns to be extra crispy, coffee cups were never empty, and the portion sizes were more than enough. It's obviously a local's hangout, as they called most patrons by name, but I would recommend it to any visitors as well. read more

Went for lunch. We ordered the cheeseburger. Well, I'll I can say is that the grill must have been very hot, cause the burger was burnt. Honestly!!! So overcooked and crispy critter!!! we have always heard about this place so we decided to try it. mistake, it was a tues morning so they were not busy. we walked in and stood there for about 10 minutes nobody even said hi by nothing!!! we sat down and still nothing for about 15 minutes so we just walked out. I'd say slightly overrated by people. The food is good home cooking but the portions are only large, not very large. I would still definitely recommend eating here. Exactly what I want in a breakfast diner...big menu, huge servings, reasonable prices, friendly service and delicious food. I ordered the 2 egg ham steak breakfast with home fries and sourdough toast. The ham steak covered half the plate (I actually only ate half of it and brought the other half home. ) Eggs over medium were perfect, and the home fries were just like my mom used to make...irregular chunks of potatoes and onions, crispy brown and delicious. Some buddies and I stopped here for breakfast during a roadtrip one morning. One of the best decisions we've ever made. I'm not kidding when I say this is the perfect place to grab breakfast. The staff are all incredibly friendly, the food is amazing, and the atmosphere is inviting and relaxed. Found this place because the first place the reviews weren't very good. Local helpers suggested this small western themed gem. We were in town pickin at the local antique stores and needed fuel for are bellys and this place hit the spot. My wife had the eggs Benny's with country potatoes everything tasted great a little lemon zing to the holindase but I like that and so dose my wife, the potatoes fried nice some crispy some not lots of onion taste yep again we like it cooked like that. I had the 1 biscuit country gravy with a side of bacon good amount of sausage in the not pasty gravy, thank you chefs great job. Now I go pay the bill and they have a tip jar for the cooks note to owner thank you as a cook myself it takes a team of front of house and back of house and I know people don't think about the cooks in the back bustin there ass in the heat making great food they only see the servers taking care of them and or maybe they think the servers split tips well no most servers tip there bussers and dishwashers but not cooks. Note to customers good food " cooks" are 90% of why u go back to a restaurant you can always ask for another server. We will be back keep up the good work great service and great food. read more

Our favorite weekend spot! The food is so amazing, we love everything we have ever tried. Hard to try something new because we love our usual (chorizo burrito and eggs benny) so much. We never got a chance to eat here, sounds like they have great food. The owner on the other hand is a mean person, how he owns a restaurant is beyond me. My 19 year old son passed away (at UNR) and we were passing through on our way back to So Cal. There was 8 of us looking to stop and rest, we walked in (it was crowded) the owner could care less about us, he acted like he didn't want us there. Don't expect some fancy city BS this is real America, good food, and good people. If you want to go somewhere that feels like home surrounded by family, this is it. It's a small town and most people know each other, but even your first time visiting you feel very welcome. By far my all time favorite place to get some good breakfast or lunch and relax. read more
