    My wife's burger and fries

My wife and I were in the Village yesterday and wanted to try something new. Cowboys Wandering is fairly new I believe but was an excellent choice. Even on a dead Tuesday afternoon in the Village, CW was still pretty busy. There probably were 5-6 families inside and a couple on the patio as well. Decor is cool, old west mixed with some modern touches. The table are amazing, live edge wood topped with iron bases. Very cool! Staff was friendly and fast. Drinks were never empty and the food came out quick. Food was great, especially the fries! Loved those! The taxes toast on my chicken sandwich was perfectly toasted and crispy and the bbq sauce was just the right amount of sweetness. My plate was empty!! My wife also enjoyed her burger, didn't quite finish it but it's a double patty and she was full from the fries as well. Will definitely be eating at Cowboys Wandering again!!

Bridget is the best Server we've had in so long. The food, music, and ambiance were beyond our expectations. We also love how sweet and hardworking Lily is. And guess what? She sings like an angel. Thank you for an amazing evening. We enjoyed it so much we went back for lunch the next day after our dual sport ride.

The food was ok. The ambiance was pretty fun and service was friendly but not most observant for refills and wanting to order something to go. We came here after looking at the pictures and reading good reviews but it fell short. Cheese curds and fresh fries were the best part. We got the s'more cookie after being told that was what was in the picture but what we received looked like a burned, bloody ( strawberry sauce), hockey puck with three marshmallows melted on top. When we told the waitress the cookie was burned she said " ok sorry" didn't even offer to make it right which was sad because I really wanted to like this place

I wish I could give this place a 6/5, we had the absolute BEST experience here EVER!! From the moment we got here we were treated with the upmost respect and hospitality. They had both great indoor and outdoor seating with perfect touches of interior design and style! Our food was amazing and the breakfast burrito was our personal favorite. They had a dog friendly patio where they were greeted with water and every single staff member was so kind and the service was excellent. We meet the owner Sheri and nothing but amazing comments to say about her!! Overall this was a perfect spot to go and is definitely the place to go while in Big Bear!!

Lots of seating inside and outside. Plenty of creative seating as well- horse saddle seats, metal rocking chairs, wooden rocking chairs, etc. The patio is pet friendly, has umbrellas that can be moved, and one fireplace in the middle. The food options are very classic - sandwiches, sloppy Joe, corn dogs. However, they also offer items not in the menu. Chicken tenders? Not on menu, but it is offered. Don't forget to order your dog some pup patties. Don't miss out on the cast iron s'more cookie either

Just popped in real quick for a drink, wanted to check out this new establishment in the big Bear Village. I like the cowboy theme and the cool comfy seats around the bar. Lots of outdoor seating to enjoy a lovely day. I look forward to coming back sometime and trying the food, looks like some interesting choices. Servers were very friendly and helpful and we enjoyed our quick visit and can't wait to come back soon!

Great spot here in Big Bear Village! We had the ribs and the double smash burger, both excellent! Wonderful service and friendly people, felt super welcomed! The Bread Pudding was amazing! We will definitely be back soon!

The place is unusual in that there really wasn't an inside . There were three huge garage doors spanning the length of the building, opening outside in, Ok I'm not a food snob, and there are some things, that was good, their menu, is very limited, I found that a big negative.. they make a good burger, fries are great. We did get the ribs too. Tasty, but very fatty. We got potato skin appetizer, they weren't potato skins.they were wedges, they did taste ok but not skins. Different experience. Texture. Why not just call them wedges, it is deceiving, I wanted I settled on the blt. But the only bread was Texas toast. Which I'm not fond of.. no sourdough, no white, so I settled on the burger.. which as I said wás enjoyable.. let me say service was great.

    Lola the Pitty!

Food is fantastic! Service was perfect! Even let the pup join on the patio for a soccer game. What else could you need. Cheese curds unreal, and followed by a great burger. Highly recommend the Tito's lemonade. Out server Christian was top notch!

Great ambiance, my daughter and I had the smash burgers. The bar has outlets if you sit there which is nice for travelers to charge your phone.

There were a a handful of people waiting to be seated when we arrived and the couple before us were seated at the last outdoor patio table available. The hostess told us that we could go upstairs to the bar area and sit anywhere we wanted and a server would be with us directly. So that's what we did. As a side note, the whole vibe of the restaurant was very comfortable and the building itself is pretty remarkable. Water and menus were delivered within minutes of us selecting our table, and our waitress Victoria maintained that same level of attentiveness the whole time we were there. The biggest shortcoming of so many restaurants in and around Big Bear is the bar and their specialty drinks. But this place just slam dunked on every other restaurant we've ever tried over the years - and not just for the drinks. I love a good old fashioned but until last night, every place I'd been to served their old fashioned in a glass full of ice like I was getting a soda at a fast food drive through. Not here. A proper big block ice cube made the "Maple old fashioned" (hands down) the best drink I've ever had. (I think they've got like 7 or 8 different varieties of the old fashioned and I will definitely be back to try them.) Our potato skins appetizer was on another level and that was before our entrees even arrived. My beef dip sandwich was perfect as was wifey's chicken Scaloppini. The timing of food arriving and the periodic check-ins from our waitress was flawless. We spoke briefly with the bartender, Doug (who may or may not have been one of the owners) to express how much we enjoyed our drinks and dinner. The hallmark of a well-run restaurant is that everyone who works there conducts themselves like it's their name on the sign out front. That's exactly what we got from everyone involved. Whoever is in charge of the kitchen staff deserves a Michelin star rating. The rest of the staff is equally impressive. I can't say enough about this place. Excellent drinks, excellent food and dynamite service. If you want a top-notch dining experience in Big Bear, this should be your first and only choice. From now on, it'll be mine.

We're a family of four with a well-behaved standard poodle, so we completely understood that our seating options were limited. What we didn't understand was watching two other families with dogs arrive after us and get seated well before us, along with what felt like half of Big Bear. Our "table is ready" text finally arrived 53 minutes after we joined the waitlist. If the real wait is an hour, just say an hour. At least then we could have taken our dog for a hike, grabbed lunch somewhere else, and possibly returned in time for our table.

My husband ordered the chicken parmesan with a side house salad while I got the scallop fettuccine dish and splurged the $3 extra to get their Caesar salad (totally worth it, made in house). Everything is made to order and each dinner came with a board of homemade bread and house made butter for the table. Folks. That bread. Was So Good. Soft and tasty and the parmesan, garlic, parsley butter melted right on it. There was something that didn't hit my palate right on my dish, so Patty offered to get me something else. I decided against that (because the scallops themselves were stellar) but I agreed to some extra Alfredo sauce to mellow out the flavors in the pasta, which worked great! When she learned it was our anniversary, Patty gave us a slice of cheesecake on the house the likes of which I have never tasted before.
