    Burrito Grande $16.50
    Erika A.

I went to Cozumel on a Friday night around 6. There were very few people there and we got sat right away. The service was quick and attentive. I ordered the burrito grande with steak and a 20oz blended strawberry margarita. Both were good, but I think I would have preferred the 10 oz margarita because I was so full that it was difficult to finish such a large, sugary drink. The burrito was also quite large and my only regret was that I finished the entire thing instead of saving half to take home. The cheese sauce on top was heavy, but I really liked it!

We had a nice time at Cozumel this evening. There was a group of 5 of us on a Friday night and we were seated immediately. The space is large and ideal for big groups. The service was extremely fast and friendly. They checked in frequently and we received everything quickly. The margarita and chips and salsa were tasty. I ordered the carnitas tacos and it was okay but not great. The serving size was very generous but the pieces of meat were very large and hard to eat. It felt like a very heavy meal...make sure you wear loose pants!!

DUDE. YUM?! Okay so personally, when a house salsa is really tasty to start with, it tells me the food is going to be great. My wife and I went here for a quick dinner out and they did not disappoint. I had the fiesta fajitas and boy were those filling. Tons of meat in the mix. Our waitress was great as well, even with how busy it got for the dinner rush. The inside is your classic Mexican restaurant look, but I want to go back to sit at the bar with a margarita. The margarita was also very tasty, and just the right amount of alcohol. If you want some real Mexican food, go here and not Bel Air!

    Cheese "enchilada"

No exaggeration the single worst restaurant I've ever eaten from. I'm vegetarian and ordered a bean burrito and a cheese enchilada. They asked if I wanted cheese on top and I said yes, figuring it would be melted cheese on top. What I got was a soggy burrito in queso, and a burrito with nothing but beans in it, nothing else at all. On to the enchilada, there was no mole on top, it was essentially the same as the burrito I received but smaller and only cheese inside of it, soggy again from the queso drowning the enchilada. I ordered side orders of beans and rice, the rice was fine, definitely tasted store bought even if it wasn't, but I can't comment on the beans since I never got them. The chips and salsa were good, but nothing better than what you'd get for free at a halfway decent Mexican restaurant. Avoid Cozumel completely, they are not worth your money.

First time here. Stopped in around 5:00 on a Saturday, and there were plenty of tables. Got greeted and seated right away. First thing to notice is that it's a big space with lots of seating, without feeling cramped. The decor is bright and fresh. Our server did a great job of settling us in. Got waters, menus, chips and salsa. We ordered guacamole right away, with a pitcher of margaritas. The chips were warm and the salsa mild. The guacamole is fresh, and chunky (might benefit from a little red onion or tomatoes). The margaritas were excellent. For our meal, we got a trio of tacos, taquitos mexicano, caldo siete mares (seafood soup) and a burrito (veggie). Everything about the meal was very good, with one exception. The caldo siete mares was very disappointing. Everything was overcooked, calamari rubbery, and a couple tiny pieces of octopus. This can be hard dish to get right, and unfortunately they failed. Overall a good experience. I would come back, but order something else.

Tried Cozumel for a weekend lunch. The indoor area is huge and they have a nice outdoor patio overlooking the river if it's a nice day out. It's covered as well. The service was great and we ordered and received food quickly. I ordered the guava margarita and chicken fajitas. The margarita was good and there's lots of flavors to try. The chicken fajitas was a large portion and enough to share with someone. The food is pretty heavy so come hungry. Food was just ok. I think there's better Mexican in Milwaukee but it's convenient and easy to get to. There's also parking in the building

For our entrees, I got the taco truck dinner with pork pivil as my meat of choice. The meat was juicy, tender and had lots of flavor! The pinto beans had a nice smoky flavor. I would definitely come back to try more of the menu!

The guacamole had a strong citrus flavor which I am a fan of and the salsa was complimentary! I would HIGHLY recommend the best burrito ($15) as they did not skimp on any ingredient, especially the flavorful pork pibil. My only qualm was that the rice was undercooked and slightly crunchy, but otherwise an affordable and tasty restaurant for a date night. The staff were friendly, service was fast (less than 10min to receive food after ordering) and the restaurant had bright and colorful furniture and decor which were true to theme.

Get here early - parking sucks, and suburbanites will freak out at the hood, but no worries Jesus is right next door at St. Josaphats basilica and will watch over you. And don't forget to take a tour of one of this country's most beautiful cathedrals. Right there by Don Luchos. You can eat here. Lots of long communal tables so don't be shy. Prices aren't cheap but this is quality. I usually get a pound or so of carnitas. They measure it out, it's steaming, and ask if you want it chopped. I say yes. It's wrapped up tightly and it will feed you all weekend. This meat is freaking amazing!!!! I pray they haven't run out of homemade tortillas, but like I said, you gotta come EARLY. Sigh. There's about 6 different amazing salsas to try. Smoky, fresh, green, red, hot sweet - I get two for the weekend. I consider a quart of menudo. I think about. Lamb, goat, barbacoa, chorizo - but I have enough. Too hungry to wait to go home, I sit down to eat. Two tacos - huge! The best was the barbacoa - tasty little carmelized deeply flavored meat bits. Hey - don't go expecting American extras like sour cream or cheese. This is the real thing. Warming: one taco will do you. Got a side of rice and beans - yum. Don Lucho is a treasure. It is authentic, mom and pop, and these are the businesses I love to support.
