Not overcooked, off the bone ham, and cheddar cheese was great. The only thing I saw for improvement on my plate was the hash browns. They were slightly undercooked and had no seasoning. The pancakes were exactly as pancakes should be: flavorful and cooked. The chilequiles were the best my wife had so far. She is now comparing those to every other restaurant. Casual breakfast diner with fair meals. Foos quality has been hit or miss lately. However, I can say I've never had a bad meal there.. Recently, I watched the servers bicker over who was taking my table of 1. When someone finally took my order, I didn't see them again until I flagged someone down for my check. I didn't receive silverware, and the meal was incorrect. All things that could have been corrected with 1 table touch. Most of my experiences were generally positive but respectfully, I have to say service has declined. Lots of inappropriate chatter among staff within ear shot of customers. Cozy Corner is such a cute restaurant. It's a favorite for my fiance and his best friend. He always tells me stories of their days of visiting Cozy Corner over the years. Cozy corner is very spacious inside that could easily accommodate various size groups. The restaurant is filled with bright colors and the wait staff is very welcoming. The food at Cozy Corner is priced reasonably, depending on what you order, but some dishes seem a little over priced. I wanted to order the steak chilaquiles but they were asking for dang near $20. I've never seen steak chilaquiles priced so highly. But the portions are massive so it can be worth the higher price if you can split the meal in two. I ended up getting one of the All Day Breakfast specials. The food was tasty and I was able to take a decent amount home. Cozy was for many years another diner in the Rogers Park/Edgewater. Cozy Corner has been around for a few years now, and thank gods of good grub for it. Like it's original Logan Square diner it is comfy, cute, well decorated and well, cozy. Table space is plentiful and the booths are clean and spacious. I tend to go on about places bathrooms but cleanliness or lack thereof of bathrooms and quality of napkins usually set the standard for a restaurants commitment to qualify. Cozy meets and exceeds on both. No being stingy here that's for sure. The menu is good size with a lot of healthy choices but just as many good ole Chicago eater delicious bombs. I say bomb because we Chicagoans know how to eat well though our choices won't make it onto any health food chart. Cozy has a good selection of both. Sadly I didn't opt for healthy selection but instead went for finger licking good. Their breakfast dishes are not small and you get more than your money's worth. I had a Denver omelet that was pretty big surrounded by crisp hash browns that were just the right amount to compliment the omelet. Too often breakfast spots try to load up the potatoes, grits or others starches to compensate for lack of faith in their egg dishes. Not here at cozy. It seems they have plenty of faith in their dishes and serve what one can reasonably consume. Now if you're me you order a side of sausage gravy and homemade salsa like some lunatic going to the electric chair. They brought me a heaping bowl of pretty darn good sausage gravy and two homemade salsas, green and red. There wasn't a bite that wasn't delicious. The service was great as well. My server Evelyn was on point. Super friendly and knowledgeable on the menu with suggestions for a helpless sap such as myself. Great smile by the way. We been coming to this location for a while now and we usually like it but today we had a Karen as our waitress we got there the hostess set us on her area and she wasn't happy about it I guess she thought we didn't speak English but her comment made me feel angry ( why did u sit them on my side now there going to have to wait) not even a good morning she got us water then after that got my husband's order wrong and when I told her she acted like she was making us a favor by asking the cook loudly for extra eggs and asked us to keep the once they made wrong because she wasn't paying attention to her job and we left her her eggs and a good tip they need better costumer service period. So. As a former breakfast chef, and Restauranteur I was a little skeptical about ordering breakfast to-go. So much can go wrong. Cold food, soggy eggs, bad timing, long delivery, etc. I've always been weird about Togo breakfast. None the less I gave it a shot and I ordered Scrambled Eggs with cheddar- It was very nice. Soft scramble I worried it would be like rubber. I was very pleased by the egg here and the cheddar gave it that salty ness it needed. Skillet- I loved the skillet I would only recommend with all the pots, and veggies don't be shy to add a little salt in there. Tastes very good I could just tell the veggies weren't salted. Seasonings it what will bring that extra level out. A pinch of salt when sauté those veggies will make a big difference. With that being said I wasn't disappointed it still delivered as the bacon gave it a touch of salty ness it really needed, the egg was cooked perfectly. They also don't have a Nutella crepe option but I requested one and they hooked it up! Amazing. I rated this a 4 JUST because the salt some of it was bland. Finally got the chance to come here! My husband and I came here around 9:30 to have breakfast and we were seated immediately even though it was pretty packed. Our waiter was really attentive and efficient. I ordered chocolate chip pancakes (with Ghirardelli) and it was fabulous. My husband ordered buttermilk pancakes and he loved it too. We also ordered a side of hash and eggs that were perfectly made as well. We appreciated the quick service even if it was busy and the restaurant itself was clean and really well maintained. I'm all about breakfast! I ended up checking out Cozy Corner for the bajilionth time (yes that's a number) on a Sunday morning after dance practice. So homegirl was HUNGRY! Plus you give me avocado on anything and the basic in me is thrilled. Also I was surprised, delighted, and damn near gob smacked to discover that they now have Cozy Canteena where you can order breakfast cocktails and minosas! Cozy Corner's food is usually tasty. My family regularly ordered food from Cozy Corner for years. Normally the delivery was fine. However, from time to time, mistakes happen, and I would call them to correct the issue. Well I've done that for the last time. The restaurant frequently delivered my cold items and warm packaged in such a way that the cold items (yogurt) would melt. I added notes to my delivery order to prevent that, and it happened again today. When I called to ask for a replacement or refund, the manager copped an attitude and told me they were busy, and preceded to tell me essentially to just accept their mistake because they were busy. I was taken aback by his tone and reminded him that I was a regular customer. He said "yes, and you complain a lot too." Well, I complain when the service I pay for is not provided correctly. Given this is the response Cozy Corner gives to loyal customers, I won't ever use their service again. read more

I've been going to the Devon and Clark location for a few years now and I find that going during the week so much better experience. The server was willing to accommodate special requests (one of us is lactose intolerant) and drinks were refilled. The food was good. On a lovely Saturday afternoon, my lovely friend and I popped into Cozy Corner for a meal. There are a couple of Cozy Corner locations in the city, and indeed this restaurant is stationed at the southeast corner of Clark and Devon. It was closing in on 1PM, but we were seated at a cozy booth immediately. Although one would probably go to a diner such as Cozy Corner in search of breakfast, we both gravitated towards lunch items on the menu. The menu notes "VP" next to its "very popular" food selections. Going against the grain, we did not select any of the VP choices, though we were pretty satisfied with our meals. My lovely friend went with a burger, which comes with fries and a pop in the meal deal. The burger features caramelized onions as well as the usual sliced pickles, lettuce and such. I went with the meat loaf, which does not come with a beverage but does come with soup or salad. I enjoyed the cream of broccoli soup, which comes with saltines and a chewy piece of bread. The meat loaf was pretty good, smothered with brown gravy. The meat loaf meal usually comes with mashed potatoes, but they were kind enough to serve the potatoes hash-brown style, and they were yummy. The dish of corn rounds out this platter. This was a solid and hearty "American" lunch for the both of us. The waitstaff seemed to be efficient. One waitress gave us the check in case we were in a hurry (we were not), as our server was taking a food break, but our server did come back to finish things off as we paid him. read more

This place is GOLD! My boyfriend and I come here about once a week for breakfast and we have never been disappointed. The food is amazing, especially the Lemon Capone Pancakes. The coffee is delicious which definitely says a lot. I recommend getting the combo with your pancakes. The sausages are amazing and the eggs are always cooked perfectly.
