Being greeted by an adorable tiny dog set the right vibe. I got the Japanese gel mani-pedi with the deluxe spa which included hot stones on my legs, worth it! We moved from massage chair after pedicure to the nail station for my manicure. I'm use to having to balance the gel light machine on my lap so having the built in light at the nail station was an upgrade. Well I saw someone recommended this place on an Asian social media. I scheduled an appointment and came in for gel nail today. I found a nail design online and showed Elaine. She is really nice and sweet, she put two different green on my nails and let me picked the one I like more. As you can see in the picture, the outcome is great! I am very happy with my pretty nails and cannot wait to come back for pedicures on Sunday. I will update my review for pedicures once it is done. By the way, this place offers reasonable price and they do NOT charge for gel removal. I will come back for sure, and definitely will recommend to whoever wants to pay reasonable price for the pretty nails. I had Elaine today and I think she is the owner. We have all heard the phrase that "When You Assume it makes an Ass of U and Me". That would definitely apply to my first, and only, visit to "Cozzy Nail Salon". My wife and I have been looking for a new nail salon here in Temple City, or in the near by area, since the salon we had been going to exclusively for the last 2 years started having a melt down in their quality of work. You wouldn't think that would be a problem in this area given that there are so many, virtually one on every block, but between checking them out on both Yelp and in person can be a chore. My wife found another salon to go to in the interim, until we can find a new home we are both comfortable with, but they are way over priced. Even though I only do pedicures I am very picky, but I thought I was doing my homework. That is when my wife pointed out Cozzy Nail was located in the same space that one of the salons we used to go to, Angels Touch, was. So I agreed to be the guinea pig for our cause and give them a try. It started out well. They had some one available to take me, Tami, as a walk in, a big plus given my impulsive whims for doing my nails, so we were off to the races! Unfortunately it was all down hill from there. As my feet soaked and Tami began her cutting I noticed that there weren't any prices posted or a menu of services, Then I remembered I had seen them on Yelp and even sent them a message asking if they had their prices posted yet, because some else had asked 3 months ago. The response they got was to call a phone number, but I knew the price and time range having had my toes done for a while. We had begun and I had been procrastinating for a while so let her rip. So here is what we ended up with. I had to remind Tami three times to cut my nails shorter, which she did on some of toes. Maybe she understood me , maybe not. Calling the nail trimming uneven is being very generous. She didn't spend the time I was used to, in fact she almost seemed rushed. I might have understood that if there were customers waiting, but there weren't any. I think that my have been a tell tale sign. The foot and leg message began okay, but was way too short, unlike my toe nails. The kicker was when she was "finished" I asked how much. She told me $25 which considering the basic nature of the pedicure, no callus removal, etc. made it the most expensive one I had ever had. When I checked my bank statement later they actually charged me $26. Upon checking out the job once I got home we were both in agreement that it was far and away the worst pedicure I had ever had. The feeling I had was far from Cozzy. Our search continues, thank god, or maybe not, there are so many to choose from in this area. If you have any suggestions I would love to hear them as long as they are open on Sundays and do Gel X. I'll assume you will have some first hand knowledge of who ever you suggest so I obviously haven't learned my lesson. 12/22/22 Response To Elaine's Response on Tami's Horrible Pedicure Just to be clear I DID NOT give Tami a $10.00 tip. I gave her a $5.00 tip and felt sick about doing it because she shouldn't have received anything! When I asked her how much the pedicure was she told me $25.00 which I paid on my card and she actually charged $26.00 to it and I gave her a tip of $5.00 in cash. If for some reason she was embedding her tip into the cost of the pedicure without telling the customer THAT IS WRONG! It also makes you as a business owner look like you are doing something illegal! I Strongly suggest you post a price menu on the wall of your shop and on YELP! and stick to it! read more

Elaine is super sweet and gets my nails done just the way I want. She's a very hard worker and is up to date with Japanese styles nails. I'm so happy I found my new favorite nail shop. First timer: made an appointment and came in a little early, was one of the first people in the store on a Friday morning. Gel Mani and regular pedicure was done in about 40 minutes and I felt as if the technicians rushed through. I've never had a gel mani take less than close to an hour. Elaine did my nails.
