I saw some negative reviews here so want to share my experience for anyone hesitant to use Kevin's service. First off the owner Kevin responds text after work hours which is not something most owners do, as a business owner myself my work phone is always off on weekends, so Kevin will be ultra responsive.(don't text him after hours unless emergency though) Second Kevin works fast and is honest, I did a PPI (an inspection with him for a car I meant to buy, he gave me a super accurate estimate of repair needed provided full photo, Third, most of my mechanics and ppl who work in my cars are in Tacoma or Renton so after moving up north here, if you are Kirkland/Bothel, try getting your car in with him. It's hard to find good mechanics up north. You wanna build good relationships with good folks. Regarding the negative reviews, I think Kevin is someone really honest, and he even told me to shop around for prices, that fact alone means he's not trying to rip anyone off. Went to CPR again to get my harmonic damper replaced on my BMW 335d. I called in advance so and they were ready as soon as I pulled up to the shop with all the parts. Kevin also took the time to demonstrate to me on the old part why it was time to replace the wheel and how we prevented damage to the engine be doing proactive maintenance. It's always reassuring to meet someone who is so excited about his craft that he is willing to explain all the inner workings of the engine and how each part is connected. I was in and out in a reasonable time and most importantly, I was not stranded whenever the part would eventually fail. I get all my oil changes done here now too because of the complimentary inspection that they do on the rest of the vehicle so I won't get any unexpected surprises. read more

Came in with an oil leak from the front of my BMW X5 4.8i. Was told that I need to replace alternator bracket gasket, it's a very common thing on 4.8 engines. Was quoted $1200 as it's a service which requires the engine to be lifted and would take over a day to complete. Was assured that we are the best BMW mechanics here by owner Kevin. After I've dropped off my car, got a call from Kevin about 4 hours later, saying your car is all done. I've picked up my car but it got me thinking, how can a job which takes over a day with the engine lift can take only 4 hours? Long story short, went to the BMW of Seattle, was told that my car has an external oil cooler and my engine doesn't have alternator bracket gasket. The job at BMW of Seattle was quoted at $400 Bottom line is, wanna be lied to and screwed? Go to CPR and ask for Kevin. read more

I just went to this auto shop without any appointment, Kevin spent a lot of time check my car and help me without any fees. I got a BMW 2002 325ci. He told you every details. I feel I also learned a lot from him. It's the best one. I am from Shanghai, China. just been in Seattle for 3 years. English is not my first language. Finding the right mechanic for my BMW M6 was really hard after bmw dealership ripped me off several times, but after searching around I found CPR European auto works and decided to take my car in a year ago after I saw good reviews for this place. Kevin was really knowledgeable about my car and diagnosed the problem the first day and fixed it the next day. Since then I've taken my car to him several times and had the same awesome experience with him every time. He also provides loaner car for certain services. Taking my 3 series to Kevin, or Keyvan, was the worst experience in my life for so many reasons. I took my car there for checking why engine check is on. The service he did at the end were these: 1- Change collant 2- Change Steering reservoir 3- cabin filter 4- change spark plugs (at 70k miles) and in diagnosis he did, he said your oil pan leaks, and it costs about 1500$ to fix it, which I passed for the time. When done, the engine check light was on, since all these fixes were not related to that, and it was because of sensor!!!! but he said everything else is good, and you should be good to go. I thought the price he charged was unreasonable, but I did pay and I was fine. but It was the start of trouble. I was on the way from shop to microsoft campus, where suddenly engine cuts, I pulled over. engine temperature was too high! I gave a call, and he came over after one hour, saying that: your water pump does not work any more!! He charged me again another unreasonable price and I took my car home after about 5 days. He did not accept any responsibility for that, although he acknowledged, there was no water pump issue when I got my car there. I payed about 2 k for all, and my check engine is still on. Few months later, I took my car to another shop, and to bmw dealership for the OIL PAN leaks. They both said, there is no leak from pan. OIL FILTER HOUSING RESEAL was needed, and the cost was 1/5 of oil pan. When I talked to the mechanic in my trusted shop, he said Steering reservoir was not needed to be changed either as a little bit of oil leak because of pressure is normal. also spark plugs I think so many mistakes in one visit is not acceptable. Because of that, even one star is too much for this place. 0 star. read more

All I can say is Kevin is the most approachable owner/mechanic you will ever meet. If you are not familiar with auto repairs, on a tight budget, and need a loaner car then this is the place for you to consider. He has the best customer service. My inquiry was returned within 10 minutes and received a call from Kevin directly to diagnose the problem. Update 3/1/14 After my mechanic moved to California, I was left scrambling to find a new one. Luckily for me I found CPR European Auto Works. Kevin is friendly, fast, and very knowledgeable. I've been taking my 328i to Kevin for the past two years. Super friendly and knowledgeable. Great customer service as well. He's even let me borrow one of his own cars in the past during times where the repairs would only take a few hours, instead of me having to lease a rental to get to work. Kevin definitely treats his regular customers well. Plus, he often has cookies and sodas out for the taking too! He has a guy who can replace bumpers as well, which was really convenient and ended up being less than what the MAACO in Bellevue quoted me for. This place is also open on Saturdays, whereas a lot of shops on the Eastside don't. If you're looking for a knowledgeable and honest mechanic, look no further. I went to this auto shop last month to fix my Volvo and had great experience. I broke my side mirror with all the plastic parts in hands and I was looking for an affordable bodyshop. The bodyshops I visited before Cpr were just trying to let me change the whole side mirrors since they could earn more money for new parts than simple assembly. Kevin checked my car and agreed to fixed my side mirror with affordable price. He completed the work within several hours while other bodyshop even tried to use more than 2 days for more labor fees. Do not fail bringing your car to Kevin. I spent 3 weeks, awaiting a mere diagnosis from a shop I used for 7 years. In their final analysis, my car my irreparably inoperable. Dead. Ready for salvage. As with doctors terminal diagnosises, I sought a second opinion. Kevin had the car diagnosed in an afternoon, and out the door the next day. Shop 1: dead. Needed new motor. $11,000. Shop 2: ignition coils and spark plugs, $800.00. I am consumed with good cars. Elation overwhelmed me on the way back home. Gifted insight. I have an older car, and it needs tender loving care. Kevin looked at the car, gave me a temporary fix for free, and went to work researching finding parts. He did extensive research to find the right part for the right price. He drove me to Crossroads mall to wait while he worked on my car, and picked me up at the end. If you do not have a mechanic you absolutely trust and look forward to going to when your car needs help you really need to give this place a try!!! You will be very very glad you did. Once again this place has saved me a lot of headaches and money. My newer Maxima had a bad battery which caused my battery cable to corrode the cable to the point of breaking completely. It was late in the day; rainy, dark and cold in late November but Kevin the owner ( GREAT GUY ) said no problem bring it in and we will get you back on the road tonight, we will stay late to help you out. Turns out I wanted a few other things taken care of as well so he offered to personally drive me over in his BMW to pick up a rental car at 6pm in rush hour traffic near Microsoft. What business owner do you know of that does that with a smile after a long day of working hard? I can only say that these guys are real pros at half the price of a dealer with twice the experience. When I called East Side Nissan in Bellevue they quoted me almost twice the price and said it would be 2 days at the earliest, This is the last time I will ever call a Dealer for service. Take my word for it I have never been so satisfied with an auto mechanic in my 55 years on this planet. I was so mad with my car but as soon as the AAA tow truck driven by Doug from Rubys towing in Issaquah (great Guy ) dropped me off at CPR European Auto Works I was completely relieved and almost felt happy to be there because of my previous experience with them in July. You can't go wrong if these guys works on your vehicle. P.S. The automatic up & down for the windows had to reprogrammed because a new battery was installed by them. So I came by 2 days later and Kevin just comes right out and showed me the trick as he reprogrammed the window buttons, unlike dealers where you have to wait over an hour just to talk to a mechanic and they would never show you how to do ANYTHING.
