We visited CR Hero's for the Tenderloin Trail for Hamilton County. We had not been here before and are very satisfied with our visit. The tenderloin sandwich was great!!! The 'Hoosier Daddy' was excellent! All four in our party selected the same thing. Two of us selected tots, the other two selected fries; I highly recommend the tots though my wife said the fries are excellent as well. Get the tenderloin loaded and ask for the aioli/garlic mayonnaise. It's has a kick and the flavor is outstanding. Dress the sandwich with tomato, onion, lettuce and a pickle and you will have one of if not the best tenderloin sandwich you've ever had! The eating area is a rustic bar setting. It is comfortable but a 'tad' loud but we were able to talk ok. It was comfortable and we're enjoyed the evening quite a bit. Our server was friendly, courteous and prompt. It's a smaller place (in the winter, it looks like they have a nice outdoor area). We came here while out of town for a sports competition with a large group. It is great for groups and kids. We picked the spot for their good reviews of gluten free items. Everything was delicious, and the kids loved being able to adventure to the arcade and order fun drinks, while the adults got to also partake in drinks. Tuesdays are meant for families: Free kids meals w/ adult purchase Free ballon animals Free face painting Arcade room (daily) They also have happy hour deals 3-5:30pm! We had really good appetizers: cheese curds and fried pickles. My favorite were the cheese curds, soft cheesy inside with a great batter on the outside! The fried pickles were also good! The portions were great. Got adventurous and tried the jalapeño popper burger, it's a really popular burger. There are so many options to try, I'm confident I can find more burgers I'll love. The salads also looked really good and I'd like to try one on my next visit. Went in for lunch with my son and grandson. It's a place open to families. We ordered a pretzel with cheese for an appetizer! It was buttery and served with ranch and nacho cheese! Fantastic! One of the best pretzels I've had in a long time! I have seen on a review that this is one of the best breaded tenderloins in the state! Great place for family. We were able to watch some of the college basketball games and enjoy our food. I had salmon and broccoli which was good but not a huge portion. My other half had steak and twice baked potatoes. The steak wasn't cook like he ordered and the waiter was able to get a new one cooked for him fairly quickly. My family has been regular customers at CR Hero's since it opened in the early 2000s. This is one of my must-eat-at places when I visit family! When I found out about my food allergies, we discovered that CR Hero's had also undergone some menu changes to accommodate gluten-free diets. I always leave feeling satisfied and full! My favorites are the cheese fries (gluten-free, dedicated fryer) and the Hoosier Mama, but the burgers are always a solid choice. We have absolutely loved coming here over the years, which is why I am so saddened and disappointed by the treatment from the manager, Lauren, towards our group. We have raved to our friends and family about this establishment until today. A member of our party requested to be moved from a booth to a table, only to be accused of "being aggressive" with staff (which was absolutely not true, there is a difference between having a backbone and being aggressive), and then being banned from the establishment only after leaving a bad review. We used to be regulars at CR Hero's--visiting multiple times a month for Indiana Trivia with Tim (who is fantastic). We've always enjoyed the food and usually decent service, especially given how busy trivia nights get. Tonight, however, was beyond disappointing--and ended with our entire party of five being banned for leaving an honest 1-star review. One of our guests politely asked to switch from a booth to a table once one became available. When it did, she approached the hostess stand and was suddenly accused by Manager Lauren of being "aggressive," which couldn't have been further from the truth. Still, we were allowed to move, and we figured that was the end of it. We had a great time at trivia, even won a $20 gift card. Then Lauren came over--smirking--and told us we're no longer welcome at CR Hero's. The reason? A single 1-star review written earlier about her behavior. So instead of handling concerns professionally, she chose to retaliate. We reached out to the owner (whose number Lauren gave us), hoping for a level-headed conversation. Instead, she stood by her manager without question and upheld the ban. She even asked us to return the gift certificates--after we'd already been made to feel completely unwelcome. We've never had an issue here before. But now? We won't be back--not because we don't want to, but because CR Hero's made it very clear that honest feedback isn't tolerated. Incredible family friendly restaurant in the Geist area! This is a must-visit for any families in or traveling to the area. The food is solidly American and sooo good. I got the chicken and waffles, and they were so delicious. My husband got the jammin' bacon burger and it was great too! The price of the food is also very reasonable. They have a great assortment of fun drinks and meals for the kids. There's a small arcade for kids to enjoy and plenty of TVs featuring an assortment of family and kids shows. Growing up, CR Hero's was my all-time favorite restaurant. I celebrated my birthdays here, got my face painted on kids eat free night, and begged to come here every time we went out for dinner. My family and I were regulars when I was younger, so much that I learned the weekly specials schedule: Free Cookie Wednesday, Trivia Thursday, and our favorite--kids eat free Tuesday, complete with balloon animals and face painting. CR Hero's held such a special place in my childhood because so much of the restaurant appealed to kids. From the specialty milkshakes, to the superhero theming, to the arcade, it was essentially a wonderland--with delicious food! As we got older and busier, CR Hero's fell off our radar, but our love for the restaurant was recently rekindled. When I was younger, I was a picky eater and really only tried the buttered pasta and the soft pretzels at CR's. Now that I have a more mature palate, I was ready to venture out onto more 'complex' dishes. For dinner, my sister and I both had the Buffalo chicken Mac and cheese. The meal comes with crispy chicken, but I was able to substitute grilled chicken for no additional charge. The mac and cheese was so creamy and cheesy, and the chicken was seasoned perfectly. The green onions added a nice pop of flavor to the dish, which my sister and I both enjoyed. As much as I loved it, I couldn't finish everything because the portion was huge! My sister and I could have split it and each had enough to fill us up. My mother had the filet grilled cheese with a side of the homemade potato chips. It looked and smelled delicious, and the steak was cooked to medium rare, exactly as she requested. My father was happy to see that the Buffalo chicken salad was still on the menu, as it has always been his favorite dish. And of course, no meal at CR Hero's is complete without an order of soft pretzels! Whether it's ordered a la carte or by the basket, the pretzels are hands-down my family's favorite appetizer. Salty, buttery, mouth-watering dough served piping hot, you really can't go wrong. We have even ordered a tray of CR's pretzels for our family gatherings on numerous occasions! This place is a great find! We went on a Friday, unfortunately, not able to book reservation online, but got seated quickly which was great! The theme is good - definitely present, but not too over the top, women's bathroom was so cute! The service was excellent! Our waitress was thoughtful, checked on us regularly, and handled our chaos at the table with the kiddos. They had the cutest drinks for kids, and the adult drinks were delicious as well, with a large selection! The chicken fajita bowl was just okay - I found the chicken to be excellent, but the rest was really bland, especially the queso! The portion sizes are large so you may need a to go container! There is a little arcade to entertain the kids after eating for a bit, but the claw toys needed shaken up and it's disappointing you can't reach close to the edges much to try to grab for toys. I had high hopes for this place, but it did not meet my expectations. They have lots of parking available in the private parking lot that it shares with the other businesses in the strip mall that it is in. The restaurant is dedicated to fictional heroes and our everyday heroes (firefighters, police....). It has a large dining area and a bar net door that they can open access to from the inside. Both areas have televisions which are normally playing sports. They have super hero stuff all around the bar, the ones with and without capes. The staff here does their job. They are not rude and not overly friendly. They do what they need to do basically. The place was pretty busy while I was there. They have a menu full of pub style food such as wraps, burgers, salads, wings and tenderloins. I went with the Firecracker Burger with fries. It did not take long for me to get my food. The burger was ok. I have had better and I have had worse. I ordered an electric lemonade to wash down my food and it was pretty dull and tasted watered down. For me, this place was ok. Kids menu includes typical items: we tried the chicken tenders, mini corn dogs, and soft pretzel. They have sports playing on several real TVs and cartoons on one. This local neighborhood gem is not far from my house so I decided to grab some dinner here. They offer convenient "curbside" pick up in the back of the building. I phoned the order in, but there was technical difficulties and the phone disconnected. They called right back, apologized, and explained the issue. We almost completed the order, but was disconnected again. After about 5 minutes I called back to confirm my order, and they explained they had to reboot their system, but my order was in. No problem. We pulled up, gave the name, and paid for the order. We received our order and were on our way. Smooth transaction. I wasn't as impressed with my Texas BBQ chicken wrap. It was just okay. I don't think I'd order it again. The chicken and waffles were good. I'd order that again. Since this is so close to my home, I'm sure I'll give it another try soon. read more

Our first visit here to enjoy the Hamilton Tuesday Tenderloin trail. The atmosphere was fun. Not a seat in the house was available. The staff was genuine and friendly. My wife and I sat at the bar.
