Food and service was amazing just like the music. Perfect to eat anywhere, like the house or in the car!

We were invited for dinner at Crab N' Spice in Northridge for my godson's birthday dinner. We were a party of 10. Soleil was our waitress and she was excellent. Soleil provided excellent customer service. This place used to be a Mediterranean restaurant that we frequented. It's now a new establishment called Crab N' Spice. Very spacious eatery with lots of tables and chairs for dining both inside and outside. Also lots of parking spaces available. Crab N' Spice is an all you can eat seafood boil. The charge is per person and you have 90 minutes to savor every bite. They offer lobster tail, snow crab legs, whole shrimp, headless shrimp, peeled shrimp, crawfish and black mussels to name a few. You can also order white rice because how can you enjoy seafood especially at an all you can eat seafood without white rice. You can also have corn, potatoes and sausage added to your meal. Crab N' Spice offers a variety of flavors and different levels of spice. Kids are free if they are under 3 feet in height. Kids above 3 feet up to 4 1/2 feet are $17.99 while Adults are only $39.99. Great pricing for the variety they offer. Drinks are charged separately. We dined on a weekday so it was not that busy. We plan to visit again on a weekend to see if they are consistent with excellent customer service and on point with replenishing the seafood. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. I saw this seafood spot on TikTok and decided to give it a try. Baby... TikTok got me this time because this food was NASTY. I've been gone for about 10 minutes, used mouthwash, AND I'm chewing gum, and I can STILL taste that nasty sauce in my mouth. The sauce was horrible. It had this weird, slightly sweet flavor that I just could not get past. I have NEVER tasted seafood this nasty. Now let's get into the "all you can eat." It's $40 per person. If you want peeled shrimp, that's an extra $5 PER PERSON. Even if only ONE person at the table wants peeled shrimp, both people have to pay the additional $5 because apparently they don't know who might eat which shrimp. That makes absolutely no sense to me. When our food first came out, they brought mussels, and HALF THE DAMN SHELLS DIDN'T EVEN HAVE MUSSELS IN THEM. Just empty shells! So they brought out another small portion of mussels with two pieces of corn. Still nasty. At that point, we couldn't eat anymore. But here's the kicker: if you order additional food because it's supposed to be ALL YOU CAN EAT and then can't finish it, they can charge you $20 for leaving food. If you want to take certain additional food home, they want another $30. THIRTY DOLLARS FOR THAT LITTLE-ASS BAG?!'m posting the pictures because y'all need to SEE what I'm talking about. That bag is supposed to be split between two people and barely has anything in it. And before the seafood even comes out, they load you up with THREE carbs: onion rings, fried green beans, French fries, or whatever three sides you choose. Now I see why. Fill you up on the cheap stuff before bringing out the "all you can eat" seafood. The onion rings were mushy inside too. And don't think the restaurant was packed and they were overwhelmed. NOPE. When we got there, it was basically just us and another table. Someone else came in later, yet it still took about 15-20 minutes, if not longer, for the food to come out. Customer service? POOR. Actually, customer service barely existed. Between the horrible sauce, nasty food, empty mussel shells, all the extra rules and charges, the slow service, and the attempt to fill you up on carbs before the seafood comes out, I would NEVER go back. If you want seafood in the Valencia area, Blueface's sauce is MUCH better. Their sauce is actually good. This place? Absolutely NOT. This place is just starting out. They had a tough time handling the crowd that was there during their Grand Opening. Staff is very nice. I have them all the spare pens from my car because they seemed to be short. I waited 3 hours in line to be served. I was one of the lucky ones that managed to snag a free seafood boil which was just right for me and my hubby. The place is very lovely and they have quite a few options. I don't think I'll ever be brave enough to do AYCE crab but maybe someone else out there....? read more

We came here for a bday gathering AYCE dinner. Plenty of tables and they provide gloves and bibs, which I gladly used. You choose different items per round with any level spice. It was all so good! My friend suggested we have lunch at this new restaurant because she said the food was really good, and it did not disappoint! I ordered the garlic shrimp with rice. When the waitress brought out our food, it was piping hot, which I absolutely loved. The only downside was that the shrimp were a little difficult to peel because the shells were stuck on pretty tightly. I think they may have been frozen before being cooked. Other than that, the meal was delicious, and I left with a full and happy tummy. I also had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Vangie, who was incredibly friendly and welcoming. She took the time to chat with customers and wasn't afraid to help out around the restaurant. It was nice to see an owner working alongside her staff and treating everyone with respect. The restaurant was clean, the ambiance was warm and inviting, and there was plenty of parking. I highly recommend giving this place a try! read more

Super disappointed! My boyfriend and I drove from South Bay to go to this grand opening. We knew we likely weren't going to be in the first 50, but that was fine because we were counting on being able to participate in the raffles and giveaways since it was advertised as happening ALL day (per multiple posts in the photos attached). We stood in line for about 30 minutes in the HEAT when they started raffling out prizes. It was nice that staff gave water to guests standing in line. But my boyfriend asked a staff about how to get a ticket for the raffle and they said raffling was only for the first 50 people then the wait to get a seat would be another 2-3 hours. We were initially quoted 35 to 45 minutes ended up waiting an hour and 15 during that time after we waited another 10 minutes for 2 other parties that signed in on Yelp to arrive they didnt show so we sat down at 8:48 and requested the all you can eat. The server told us that all you can eat ends at 8:45. We asked to speak to the manager and the host Julie, who was supposedly the manager came over. She told us unfortunately its passed 8:45 and there was nothing they could do. During our wait there were empty tables not cleaned for about 15 minutes following two big parties leaving because it was after 8:45 we could no longer order the all you can eat menu. Julie the manager who we thought initially was the host because she was just watching servers and joking with them while tables were kept dirty, came over and was short with us telling us too bad. Great deal with the all you can eat option! The service was spectacular. Everyone was very nice and welcoming. Even the owner came to our table to thank us for coming in. Shout out to Quincy for taking care of us! We had the all you can eat. We got fried Green beans, snow crab, muscles, crayfish, shrimp, Quail eggs, corn, and rice. I enjoyed the shrimp and muscles as they tasted fresh. My partner liked the shrimp and crabs the most. We both agreed that crawfish didn't taste fresh due to its texture, so it probably came from frozen. We got the All In flavor in medium heat which had everything. I thought it landed slightly on the sweet side, but was perfect once I added the provided lemon to it. Tip: it does take about 15 to 20 minutes for the seafood to come out. So order it first. The ambiance is fun, sporty, and clean. Lots of TVs to watch various games. And beautiful artwork on the walls. Crab N Spice is definitely our favorite for Cajun seafood in the valley. When we arrived it seemed a bit chaotic. Got our name on the waitlist took about less than 10 minutes. Jasper was our waiter he explained everything and showed us how the AYCE worked. We love the price. They had four tvs playing different shows; 2 were cartoons for the kids and the other two were more for the adults ( no sound from the tvs but they had music playing overhead). A little disappointed on the size of the crawfish. They were mini size maybe an inch or two big, sausages were delicious, crab was difficult to get what little meat there was out, no complaints on the shrimp (they were pretty good). The calamari had a kick but the aïoli that came with it so much better. Overall the food was good. There was a bit of a wait to get our second round, there was a very large party. They recently opened a Crab and Spice on Devonshire and it's amazing. The servers were super patient and friendly. The lady who took out order took the time to explain everything to us which was helpful. The food tasted fresh and was delicious. One mention however were the lemon pepper fries - it tasted like there was cinnamon on them; those were weird tasting. Inside the restaurant, everything was organized and clean. They were very thorough. A dad took his son to the restroom and they cleaned the table thinking that he left. That's thorough; Dad wasn't too happy but.... LOL. We will be back. read more

We were excited to try Crab N Spice, we loved Boiling Crab. It's still new so there were some minor things that we noticed. So excited they have a kids menu, my kids like seafood but not enough to eat only shrimp. My oldest got popcorn chicken and fries, loved the fries but said the chicken was a little dry. Youngest got the kids wings and fries, liked it but wished they had drenched wings instead of only dry rubs. Husband and I got CNS combo with shrimp, perfect way to try a little of everything. I recently tried this place and it was an okay experience. My sister and I did the AYCE. it takes about 20 mins for the food come out. We ended up doing two rounds of seafood boil. Snow crab legs are only one order the first time around then additional cost. but you can do shrimp, crawfish, and mussels unlimited unless u wanted it peeled then it cost additional too. The fried green beans were really good but skip the Cajun fries! It was soggy and didn't taste good at all. The first round of seafood boil the flavor was pretty good but when we ordered the second round w the same sauce it came out with barely any sauce and was flavorless. I think it's a west coast thing but in New Orleans - the boil is where you season your food. I don't like sauce and I don't want to have to peel through sauce to get to my crawfish. I did ask if they seasoned the water and they said yes but there was no way. I ordered crawfish and some sides. Because there was no flavor, I couldn't even eat it. This could be improved if they offered a sauce less option. I just don't need a gallon of butter to be the reason my food has flavor. The stars are for the mural! Good choice! read more

I give this place 2.5/ 5. I know this place is new and lots of potential to be better and adjustments. We ordered the all you can eat as they also do ala cart option. You are allowed to order 1 crab legs per person only as part of the all you can eat package. Anything after that one freebie of the crab legs, you are charged. The shrimp, black mussels, fries, crawfish are unlimited. As they were all combined to cooked, for some reason the seasoning did not hit the spot. The spice level kicked in but the seasoning was missing something. Black mussels were grainy. You can tell it was frozen as majority that was served had their shells broken in half or into pieces or some are empty and the seasoning didn't penetrate enough and it was grainy, gaimy taste, I give it 1.5/ 5. I will take green mussels instead. Next was the Shrimp quality was good but the taste was not there either 2.5/ 5 Next crab legs. I can usually snap the crab legs easily with my hands but this was be was tougher and again the seasoning did not penetrate. 2.5/5. Next was cajun fries, it was ok, over seasoned black pepper? 3/5 Hospitality was 5/5 very welcoming staff and helpful. Inside has tables and consistently being cleaned. Very impressive. They need to revisit the amount of seasoning they put into this as it is not there. You guys need to check how your competition (Kickin Asian)cook and season their food if you wanna keep up and attract diners otherwise this business will go tank down pretty quickly. 3 stars overall: This place has potential the quality of the seafood was there. The interior and staff of the building were clean and friendly. I think the flavor of the food is where they can improve the most. Everything had seasonings I could see and smell the spices but the flavor was bland. I chalk it up to being a new spot with a bit to learn; wouldn't be opposed to coming back, but maybe once they're more established. Service: 8/10 our server was attentive and came around to check on us various times throughout the dinner. When we went on break service stalled a bit but overall staff was amazing. Apps: Cajun fries: what we appreciated was the texture of the fries and the temp. They came out hot and crunchy. Taste could be better, while we could see the different spices on the fries they were bland no salt. Lemon pepper fries: same as above except these were overly salted. Seafood: We did three pounds of headless shrimp. The shrimp were cooked great, were easy to peel and for my texture people they were not chewy. They had a firm bite. We really enjoyed the quality of the seafood however its was just too greasy with not enough flavor even though we could see the spices and garlic that were used. read more

We did the all you can eat and was only able to do one round. It was a good amount of seafood for two people already including fries and rice. The service was amazing, food was really tasty even my thai tea was really good! It's definitely a little pricy. I think I got the captain's combo it came with 1/2 a pound of shrimp, which for 2 people is not a lot cause we probably only got like 4 shrimp each. 1st off the place was very clean, the service was spot on, the best seafood boil I have been to. Lots of options = all you can eat, different combo's & add on's, awesome!. Plus several different flavors of spice options as well. 2nd they give you a nice size tray to pour your boil into - no reaching into a plastic bag getting your hands & arms dirty/ big plus. 3rd there was plenty of staff & I am talking young staff which worried me at first, but they all behaved in a very professional well behaved manner, there was no goofing off, no cell phones visible, no standing around chit chatting. So the place is small when you first walk in it's no one at the door to take names so that people can wait outside. That should have been a sign from the jump when I came in. Our server wasn't on her job at all. I ordered the all you can eat and when I got the bag it was more oil than sauce. The shrimp were not the easiest to pull off at all. I had to ask for everything gloves and the cutter for the crab. Then let's talk about the music. It's a family restaurant and they were playing Kanye west damage with the cuss words. Like when is that ever okay when you know children come here. The strawberry lemonade was good to me but more people wouldn't like it because it was just like flavored water to be honest when I didn't mind. For a restaurant that offers all-you-can-eat with a 90-minute time limit, spending most of that time waiting for food is unacceptable and also if we order more food it will be another hour wait.
