I visited on a Saturday around 6:45pm as a party of four and to our surprise there was no wait. We were immediately seated at a table that seated 6 and Robin was our waiter. I started off by ordering the prime beef (a table favorite), brisket, bulgogi, and beef belly. I was cut off from ordering because four meats is the limit, which I've found to be pretty standard at other kbbq spots. We were also able to order non meat items such as steamed egg, and radish soup. When the server came back, I tried to order another four meats (while two were remaining uncooked) and he told me I had to wait. Then when we cooked the rest of the meats I tried to order another four, and he told me I could only order three. I thought this was odd because 20 minutes ago the limit was four. To make it even more odd, all the other servers kept coming to our table asking if we wanted more meats, and at that time our table was getting full, so we declined. Overall, the food is great, we just had an odd experience with our sever seeming to be stingy. I will also note that we have been here several times prior, and the food has always been quality. Likewise the service has never been stingy like this before, so I'm thinking it was a one off thing. read more

I will never get tired of saying this: BEST KBBQ IN THE VALLEY!! I always recommend this place to everybody I know that enjoys kbbq. I'm basically a walking ad for them at this point haha I've been coming to this place for years, before the name change, and NEVER had a complaint. What stood out the most to me was the quality of the meat--it tasted fresh, well-prepared, and definitely better than a lot of typical KBBQ spots. Finally!!!! A good Korean bbq spot that actually makes you crave it more. First time at this place, loved every single bit of it. Great meat options, great selection of options. Good cuts and I'd say premium meat cuts imo. My about favorite was #5 and #6. I believe was the prime beef and bulgogi( were to die for) The service was so good too, made sure to clear out the tables at all times. Refilled out drinks without even asking, options and food don't take long at all to come out. (Granted I was there at a Wednesday at 2pm, not sure how it would look on a weekend. But to be fair service can be different on the weekend. I'm just speaking out of my experience) Ambiance was extremely clean and neat. Bathroom were very clean as well and smelled good. Overall spacious space with lots of seatings. They have 2 options A and B. I got B which honestly it was worth it because it had more options. The only downside honestly, I just wish they had more appetizers or at least the basic app you find at any kbbq like fried rice,miso soup. Just the basic appetizers. I have been craving korean bbq and didnt really want to go far to drive to downtown LA. Also my cousin is visiting from another country and she likes korean bbq so this was the perfect spot. We got there and was seated right away. We ordered their menu B. We were given 2 sets of menu to choose from: Menu B and Menu C. I wonder what happened to Menu A. Anyway we got our usual meats of brisket, beef belly, steak and pork belly. They give you a decent amount of ban chans. The meat quality was good. The service was good as well. My friends and I had a wonderful time dining here last night when we came for some Korean bbq. The staff are amazing and we're very attentive to us. They would come and change the grill when they see that it's time for a new one. We went with the Ayce B option for the all you can eat. The prime beef, beef tongue, steak, spicy pork, bulgogi and brisket were delicious. The marinate in the spicy pork has a kick to it but it's not that bad. The price is reasonable and worth it here in my opinion. There a decent amount of parking spots in the plaza this restaurant is in but it does get busy and packed. We would gladly come back again. I liked the staff and comfort level at this restaurant. It sounds strange but furniture is not all created equal for plus size folks and tables tend to be in top of each other so comfort is important to me. Staff is very attentive for drinks, service and changing our grill. The portions and quality are great for the value. There is a 1.5 hour time limit not unlike other AYCE KBBQ and you know when they bring the bill out but they are still nice about it and didn't pressure us. Tip: I have been here before and it's a locals spot. The major obstacle is parking. It's insane so carpool or go to dinner early. Price: $$ read more

This restaurant was an excellent experience for us. We been to other locations but this one felt authentic. The staff was very friendly and will help you if you need help with the meats. Look at the menu before you go so you know what you want, like most places they are very quick with getting orders out. The meat was so good fresh and delicious. I debated leaving this review back in December because I knew it would not be a positive one, but I value honest feedback when reading reviews myself, so I decided to share my experience. The food itself was good. I have been here before and had a much better experience. Unfortunately, the service during this visit completely overshadowed the food. We ordered the all you can eat option and understood there was a time limit. However, our server ignored us most of the time, even when we tried multiple times to get her attention. Orders came out wrong, items we requested never arrived, and the lack of attentiveness made the experience feel like a waste of money. On multiple occasions, staff attempted to clear plates before we were finished, throwing food onto the grill when we were not ready or removing items that were still unfinished. The breaking point was when our server placed the receipt on the table and told us our time was up, despite the fact that we never fully received what we ordered or proper service throughout the meal. After that, I asked for a manager or corporate contact to file a complaint. I was told the manager was not there and was given a number to call the next day. Shortly after, they returned and said the manager had called and offered complimentary ice cream. Whether or not that was true, it felt dismissive and more like an attempt to smooth things over than to actually address the issue. I came with my brother, and this was his first visit. Unfortunately, it will also be his last due to the same poor service. While I cannot fault the food, the service and handling of the situation were extremely disappointing. Based on this experience, I do not anticipate returning anytime soon. read more

One of the better KBBQ locations in the Northridge area. The meat is excellent, the staff is efficient, and the price is right. It's not obnoxiously noisy like the "trendy" places nearby. Their spicy pork and brisket are my favorite. Parking can be a pain sometimes. read more

Had a wonderful time coming back here with my girlfriend today!!! We were lucky to get seated right away as it got busy after with the dinner rush. We were able to get accommodated quickly on what meats we wanted and the service was very attentive by everyone, not just our server!! Can't beat $36 for all you can eat and such quality food! Everything was top notch including the marinated meats and side dishes like the kimchi. Great food. Got a couple of soups also and steamed egg, all great. The service was amazing! Our waitress Ellena was so lovely and attentive. I'm a big fan of kbbq, but I find this place just ok. There's really nothing that stands out to me, either it'd be the meat, service, or overall experience. The menu has 3 tiers with different offerings. I find that when I was cooking the meats, it didn't crisp up properly. The sides were alright. My partner and I took my brother who was visiting us for the weekend here and they did not disappoint! We were sat so quickly, that my partner and I said to each other "Wow that was really fast!". And the service was next level, they were so kind and you could tell that they truly valued their customers. Every order we put in was out within 5 minutes, and the quality and quantity was great for the price. The inside was kept clean and their fans were out of your way which I was grateful for, just because I am not a fan of when they're in your face. this place is good, pretty solid for valley kbbq! many of their thinner cuts come out frozen but they still render nicely on the grill. love their banchan, especially the fish cake! service is decent, but you'll definitely need to flag people down to ask for napkins, more banchan, more meats etc. the ventilation was not great when we went. the whole restaurant was definitely giving hotbox, lol. you'll need to wash your hair after. they automatically add gratuity, btw, so be aware of this! Our favorite kbbq in Northridge. Great selection of meats for the BBQ at a great price. I especially appreciate that they carry beef tongue because not all kbbq places have it, but it's my favorite. No lines outside and no wait to get seated. It was 2 adults and 2 children. We were there 47 min. Waitress ignores me when I ask for straws. Second time she came around I asked again and she made a face a came back to throw straws at the table. Food comes out right away. One thing I hate is being rushed. She starts to pick up plates and then the sides. It was very annoying and then she comes back with the bill and pointed at it showing the highlighted gratuity and if we were ok with it. We say ok and continue to eat. I still have a plate of food I am working on plus a small sapporo. She comes back and says thanks for coming like if she wanted us to pay then and there. I ignore her because I'm still eating and am within the stupid 90 min limit. Then she continues to take plates off the table. For the amount I paid tonight I should have been left alone to eat in peace and enjoy my food and beer!!!! The lady was rude and this is the second time this happens. The brisket and beef belly are rubbery and I made sure not to overcook them. Spicy pork is very bland. Even the banchan choices are very limited. Our server is nice but our grill never got replaced. The ambiance is okay. Your typical kbbq ambiance. Will we come back? No, unless we absolutely have to. We had a very good experience from the moment we arrived. The waiters were very polite, friendly, and always checking on us. Everything we asked for came right away, and they made us feel welcome and comfortable. The food was delicious. The brisket was tender and full of flavor, and the pork belly was amazing. Every dish we ordered was fresh and tasty. We enjoyed everything so much that we stayed for two hours and ate more than we planned. The prices are very reasonable for the quality and portions you get. The only small issue is parking. The plaza has many businesses, so parking spots are limited. I came here with my bf around 10pm because we didn't want to drive to KTOWN. it was decent, but not the best quality meats. I'm a bit picky when it comes to brisket and I found it too thick and chewy, same with the beef belly. The marinated fingers were really good. I like the different soup options. And the service was good. It's kind of nostalgic coming and eating at this restaurant because I used to come here as a kid, but it used to be different name back then. Gratuity is included in the bill, not too bad pricing but for the quality of meats, i would pay a bit more some place else. It was all still enjoyable tho. read more

Hanoo? More like HellNO Words and stars cannot express how disappointed me and my friends were. The meats were good to start with. Service was absolutely horrible. And to charge a 15% gratuity to all parties regardless of size is absolutely ridiculous and completely understandable considering their customer service is non existent and they probably would get nothing on tip if they didn't automatically charge for it. We were trying to get extra sides, order more meat, and get a grill change but they just kept walking by our table. We finally got the attention of one of the employees and she aggressively said "what do you want?" then after we told her she was like "is that all?" and then when she brought everything she proceeded to throw everything on the table. Afterwards, we ordered a steak, but when we got it, it was still frozen. And all the meats after were such poor quality. We had to grill the steak longer and it ended up being super tough and the grill was then again burnt. So when we asked for a grill change, she said "oh but you only cooked steak on it" yes, we did but we were so confused as to what the problem is.. did she want us to continue cooking on something burnt and have inedible food? she then proceeded to say something in Korean to her co workers and they all started to walk by to look at our table. Great. Really loved that vibe. There was only one employee that ended up helping us but even then, all the staff kept avoiding us. All because we asked for a grill change multiple times? When our time was up a different lady came up to us and just said to us. "you guys don't want to order more meat right? because your time is up, you can't order anymore" Then we had to wait another long while to ask for our check and then of course while we were checking and signing the check she stood right there waiting for me to sign it. We were looking at the check to make sure they rang everything up correctly because we live about an hour away. The lady thought we were worried about the price of the beer but no we were just trying to make sure everything was correct. I just told her "yes thanks we were just checking" and she shoved the receipt in my face. On top of that, they clean everything with windex which is NOT food safe. I've been coming to this spot at least few times now, didn't realize I never thank them. I guess , I see it differently now in comparison with other places I've been recently to. For starters, I was shocked when I saw the reviews, never I'd think I'd see such low rating for this spot. I guess you can never please everyone... but hey there are 2 - 100% satisfied customers, my husband and I :). The customer service here is outstanding!!! Food was good; the quality of the meats were pretty decent. Spicy pork and brisket were the group favorites. Pork belly was meh. The kimchi was absolutely delicious and the sides were also good. The service was ok. Our main waitress brought things right away but it was busy and when we couldn't get ahold of her would ask this other waitress working in our section. She was not very friendly and although would bring the meats out quick she wouldn't bring back sides or condiments in a timely matter and once not even at all. Second time here, and for some reason the meat tasted better than I remembered. Parking lot sucks and there were no parking when I came on a Friday night so I ended up parking at a nearby street, plenty of parking there. In terms of service, they were very accommodating for my large 11 person party, they sat us in two 6 person tables next to each other. For dinner you're only able to select from selection B or C but B for $35.95 had plenty enough of selection. Here are some selections that I enjoyed. Steak - It comes in a huge frozen slab but turned out delicious with the sauce. (4/5) Bulgolgi - A staple and it was good. No complaints. (4.5/5) Spicy Pork - I like the spicy marinade and would recommend! (5/5) Any Pork Belly - It's fatty goodness so whats not to love. (4.5/5) Shrimp/Squid - Thought this was actually really good. Good taste and delicious when grilled. (4.5/5) Brisket - Always good and this one hit. Good with the dipping sauce. (5/5) Overall I like that they staff was so attentive and the meat came out quick. We also brought our own birthday cake and they helped us celebrate my friends birthday without any extra charge. The kbbq is a bit pricey (15% gratuity was automatically added probably because of our large party) so total came out to be $45 per person but I thought overall was good. read more

Had a family gathering and luckily KBbq was in order and the elders were open to try a new place. First time to try Hanoo as is. We had 16 people and were given a private section. What seemed as cramped still worked out as Servers were able to place dishes on a central counter of a wall while our tables were pretty filled up. When enjoying AYCE getting the most meat in is the focus but Banchan is still important to me. Here we had Kimchi, Cucumber Kimchi, Radish Kimchi, Radish Wraps, Rice Wraps, and sharing portions of Japchae (Noodles only) Rice and Salad set up upon seating. The top tier menu had a spread of beef and pork and more. No veggies selection but small servings of Garlic Cloves, Sliced Onions, and Jalapenos available. The fine print is some of the premium cuts first three of the menu are limited. We were presented and suggested those from the start. All the meats tasted great but unless the server brought is plain pork belly when I asked for Miso Pork Belly, the flavor was light. We all ate well for the standard 90 minutes. Hot tea was $3 per person. Servers checked on us frequently otherwise were easy to wave over on the early part of a not too busy but active afternoon. Some competitors have set combos for an equivalent price focused on the premium meats and maybe AYCE for a little more or less. I hope a la carte portions are good for their value. as I will be back. read more
