I visited on a Saturday around 6:45pm as a party of four and to our surprise there was no wait. We were immediately seated at a table that seated 6 and Robin was our waiter. I started off by ordering the prime beef (a table favorite), brisket, bulgogi, and beef belly. I was cut off from ordering because four meats is the limit, which I've found to be pretty standard at other kbbq spots. We were also able to order non meat items such as steamed egg, and radish soup. When the server came back, I tried to order another four meats (while two were remaining uncooked) and he told me I had to wait. Then when we cooked the rest of the meats I tried to order another four, and he told me I could only order three. I thought this was odd because 20 minutes ago the limit was four. To make it even more odd, all the other servers kept coming to our table asking if we wanted more meats, and at that time our table was getting full, so we declined. Overall, the food is great, we just had an odd experience with our sever seeming to be stingy. I will also note that we have been here several times prior, and the food has always been quality. Likewise the service has never been stingy like this before, so I'm thinking it was a one off thing.

1 Star Very disappointing experience. The service was terrible. The server took our order once and then disappeared. No one came back to check if we wanted to order anything else, even though this was an all-you-can-eat restaurant. I ordered beef tongue, but the meat was extremely tough and chewy. When I asked if I could return it, the server gave me an unpleasant look and questioned why I wanted to return it. I felt very uncomfortable. They also automatically charged a 15% gratuity. Honestly, the service was nowhere near good enough to justify an additional 15% charge. The meat did not seem very fresh, and the side dishes were not good either. On top of that, they even shorted me 4 cents in change. It may be only 4 cents, but it reflects the lack of attention to detail. Overall, the food and service were both disappointing. Definitely not worth the price, and I would not come back.

Finally!!!! A good Korean bbq spot that actually makes you crave it more. First time at this place, loved every single bit of it. Great meat options, great selection of options. Good cuts and I'd say premium meat cuts imo. My about favorite was #5 and #6. I believe was the prime beef and bulgogi( were to die for) The service was so good too, made sure to clear out the tables at all times. Refilled out drinks without even asking, options and food don't take long at all to come out. (Granted I was there at a Wednesday at 2pm, not sure how it would look on a weekend. But to be fair service can be different on the weekend. I'm just speaking out of my experience) Ambiance was extremely clean and neat. Bathroom were very clean as well and smelled good. Overall spacious space with lots of seatings. They have 2 options A and B. I got B which honestly it was worth it because it had more options. The only downside honestly, I just wish they had more appetizers or at least the basic app you find at any kbbq like fried rice, miso soup. Just the basic appetizers. But to be fair thy had few soups that I've never had before that we liked and they were tasty!!!! Overall, I think it was a great spot overall and would definitely be going back again.

I will never get tired of saying this: BEST KBBQ IN THE VALLEY!! I always recommend this place to everybody I know that enjoys kbbq. I'm basically a walking ad for them at this point haha I've been coming to this place for years, before the name change, and NEVER had a complaint. Their prime beef, brisket, beef belly and pork jowl, everything is 10/10! Take my advice and ask for the spicy mayo. I'm not exaggerating when I say I can have tons of it! Please note, they automatically charge gratuity and honestly, I don't mind it since they've always provided exceptional service!

My friends and I had a wonderful time dining here last night when we came for some Korean bbq. The staff are amazing and we're very attentive to us. They would come and change the grill when they see that it's time for a new one. We went with the Ayce B option for the all you can eat. The prime beef, beef tongue, steak, spicy pork, bulgogi and brisket were delicious. The marinate in the spicy pork has a kick to it but it's not that bad. The price is reasonable and worth it here in my opinion. There a decent amount of parking spots in the plaza this restaurant is in but it does get busy and packed. We would gladly come back again. They also didn't really put a time limit on us so they were very accommodating.

Wow. Their service has gotten much better and the meat quality improved as well. Very welcomed and service was excellent that's how it should be if they add gratuity when you pay. Always feel comfy in here and a pleasant experience. Great for big parties and a private room is also available.

This restaurant was an excellent experience for us. We been to other locations but this one felt authentic. The staff was very friendly and will help you if you need help with the meats. Look at the menu before you go so you know what you want, like most places they are very quick with getting orders out. The meat was so good fresh and delicious. All their sides were amazing the cucumber kimchi was amazing. It's open late, it is a nice environment and intimate atmosphere. Will definitely come back.

Had a wonderful time coming back here with my girlfriend today!!! We were lucky to get seated right away as it got busy after with the dinner rush. We were able to get accommodated quickly on what meats we wanted and the service was very attentive by everyone, not just our server!! I will always appreciate the sweet Korean ladies for being so friendly. We were assisted with our meat grilling and we were very grateful for the enhanced interactions for our experience. Happy that the service and the meat quality here is still stellar!!

My coworkers ordered the Chicken Gangjeong in both the Soy Garlic and Sweet & Spicy flavors. I only had a bite of each, but both were juicy and seemed to be made with dark meat chicken. The Soy Garlic was actually sweeter than the Sweet & Spicy, which caught me off guard, while the Sweet & Spicy had more of a mild heat than an overwhelming kick. I ordered the Grandma Tteokbokki at spice level 2 and added melted cheese and ramen. Those add-ons were absolutely worth it. The cheese made the sauce extra creamy, while the ramen soaked up all of the flavor and turned it into a hearty, comforting meal. Spice level 2 had a nice kick without overpowering the dish, making it easy to enjoy from start to finish. Overall, everything we tried was satisfying, and I'd happily come back to work my way through more of the menu. If you're ordering the tteokbokki, I definitely recommend adding the cheese and ramen--you won't regret it.

The restaurant was super clean, organized, and had a welcoming atmosphere. We'll definitely be back the next time we make a trip to SoCal!

We stopped by on a Tuesday for lunch, and nostalgia definitely did not disappoint. The restaurant is spacious with plenty of seating, making it a comfortable spot to enjoy a meal. The Jjolmyeon has always been our all-time favorite from the LA location, so ordering it was a no-brainer. And wow... it somehow tasted even better here! We also ordered the Yuk Kalguksu (육칼국수) and Gun Mandu (군만두), and everything hit the spot. The Yuk Kalguksu came with such a generous portion that I happily finished the noodles, enjoyed some of the rich, spicy broth, and still had enough soup and beef to box up for another meal. Talk about a bonus dinner! The mandu was perfectly crispy and paired so well with the refreshing, chewy jjolmyeon. For us, a restaurant earns a spot in our regular rotation only if it checks three boxes: delicious food, friendly service, and cleanliness. Hodori easily checks all three. In fact, I came back after work the very same day to pick up dinner for the family (because one visit clearly wasn't enough ). We ordered Galbi Ugeoji Haejangguk (갈비 우거지 해장국), Galbitang (갈비탕), Tteokbokki (떡볶이), Samgyetang (삼계탕), and Yukgaejang (육개장). I placed the order before leaving work, and by the time I arrived about 15 minutes later, everything was neatly packed and ready to go. As a working mom, finding a restaurant that serves delicious food, offers great service, and makes takeout this effortless feels like striking gold. It saves me time in the kitchen while keeping everyone's tummies full and happy. Safe to say, Hodori has officially earned a permanent spot on our takeout list.

A group that large could easily become chaotic, but Manager Sam Peñalosa and our server Xavier went above and beyond to make the entire evening smooth, fun, and memorable. Sam deserves serious recognition. You could see her leadership throughout the night. She was present, attentive, checking on our group, supporting his team, and making sure 27 people were taken care of. That kind of hands-on leadership creates the atmosphere customers feel..and her company should be proud to have her representing GEN. And Xavier was a rockstar! Twenty-seven guests means nonstop orders, questions, refills, requests, and moving parts. He handled everything with patience, energy, professionalism, and a great attitude. Never made us feel rushed or like our large group was too much. Instead, he made us feel genuinely welcomed. The food was great, but Sam and Xavier are the reason we'll be coming back. Service like this turns a dinner into an experience and customers into repeat customers. If you're coming to GEN, ask for Sam and Xavier. We certainly will when we return. We sat down and waited at least 10 minutes just to be acknowledged, with no apology for the wait. We placed our order for two waters and one Coke. Our server came back with one water and two Cokes, and when we pointed out the extra Coke, she told us we could just keep it. Cool. We then waited another 10-15 minutes for the second water. We also weren't given scissors when we were initially seated, so I asked for a pair so we could cut up our meats and actually start eating. I also asked for a fork for my sister. She came back with the scissors and a spoon because they were "washing the forks right now." Needless to say, we never got the fork. On top of all of that, the vents at our table weren't working properly, so instead of the smoke being pulled away from the grill, I was basically inhaling it throughout the meal. Anyone who's been to KBBQ knows how much smoke comes off the grill, so having ventilation that actually works is pretty important. It made an already frustrating experience even more uncomfortable. Throughout the meal, the service continued to be extremely inattentive. It felt like we constantly had to wait or ask for basic things that should have already been provided. Then when we got the bill, we were charged for both Cokes. It's not about the extra $3, it's the principle. We ordered ONE Coke. The second one was brought to us by mistake, and our server specifically told us we could keep it. If we had been told we were going to be charged for it, we obviously would have sent it back. Charging us afterward for something we never ordered and were told to keep just left a really bad taste in my mouth. Between waiting to even be acknowledged, waiting for water, never receiving the utensils we asked for, sitting at a table with vents that weren't working, and then being charged for the server's mistake, the entire experience was disappointing. I've given this place multiple chances despite having poor experiences here before, but after today, I really don't see myself coming back.
