    Beef Hot Soup

This is one of my go-to hot pot places in the area. It's so similar to Boiling Point. The flavor profile is there and the amount of food is comparable. I ordered the beef hot pot in a regular size and was able to finish it. The beef or the Taiwanese hot pot are my go-to flavors. I love that it comes with green tea or black tea as well. Another thing, I do like about this place is that I am able to turn the flame off myself lol. I hate when my hot pot continues to boil and makes it too hot for me to eat so being able to turn the flame off myself is super convenient. Lastly, I 've been here a few times since they opened and lately their customer service has been so much better! Really happy about that.

Tasty Pot at Northridge in the San Fernando Valley is a great spot for hot pots. We've eaten at Tasty Pot twice and both visits the staff provided excellent customer service. They are consistent with providing great care and excellent customer service to their diners. They are also one of the few restaurants that label their menu with ingredients and allergy information. We love to frequent restaurants that provide both excellent customer service and cater to families with food allergies. We ordered the Cheesy Milk Hot Soup, Curry, Hot Soup, Beef Hot Soup, Tomato Hot Soup and Fried Calamari. Delicious, plentiful and flavorful hot pots with lots of beef, shrimp, scallops, crabs and vegetables along with muscles. Tasty Pot did not disappoint. Their Fried Calamari is also good, crispy and crunchy. We also appreciated the fact that their base soups vary and you have the option to choose none peanut and non sesame broth soups especially if you're a family with food allergies. We can't wait to come back and try other items on Tasty Pot's menu. In the meantime, we will continue to tell our family and friends about Tasty Pot especially our family and friends with food allergies.

Super tasty broth options!!! Menu shows the pricing on the top right of the sheets and they also vary depending on lunch period or dinner period. Lunch pricing is until 4PM I believe. I like that the menu also easily shows if there's nuts included in the dish!!! Usually pretty slow when we come in, so the server is very attentive and is easy to grab the attention of. Perfect for when it's cold outside and I think it's a good spot to go to. Parking lot has plenty of free parking usually but there's a lot of businesses in the area. I only wish the shrimp and the crabs is de-shelled already so it would be easier to eat. Plenty of ingredients are put in the soup and gives a good hearty meal.

The food here was all right. The service was good but our servers seemed a bit out of it. One server dropped our utensils and my husband's spoon broke and the next server spilled boiling soup on our table. They were nice about it and apologized but I thought that was interesting. Perhaps they were tired. The soup was pretty bland. Nothing special. The takoyaki was lukewarm when it arrived and the popcorn chicken could have been crispier. The condiments were delicious though. Overall, the experience was ok. I'm not sure if I would come back but the atmosphere was really nice.

Absolutely loved the hot beef medium spicy soup--perfectly hit the spot after craving it for a while! Sara and Alex provided excellent, attentive service--they deserve special recognition. The restaurant has a clean, welcoming environment, making it an ideal spot for a date night or hanging out with friends. I did notice they maintain firm time boundaries for dining, unlike other restaurants that stay open past closing, but it's understandable and keeps things organized. Thank you, God bless!

This building was previously a Sichuan restaurant, though with new owners they now serve up individualized portions of hot pot. Four of us stopped by to warm up from all the chilly weather. It was fairly empty around lunchtime, and it was fairly quiet inside. We all ordered the Taiwanese Supreme, since they are listed as a Taiwanese restaurant, and also since the name was rather striking. Within about ten minutes, the pots were carted out and ready to dig in. You get a huge portion, and they pack a heck of a lot of ingredients, all laid out in the detail on their menus. For the Taiwanese Supreme, here's what inside: Taiwanese cabbage, instant noodle, beef slices, beef tendon, enoki mushroom, tempura, clam, Fuzhou fishball, cuttlefish ring, pork blood rice cake, pork intestine, fried tofu skin, brown beech mushroom, tofu, imitation crabmeat, meatball, sour mustard, fried tofu puff, cilantro, and scallion, all in a pork broth. I'd say they pile on a good amount of everything. For this selection during lunch, it's currently $23.45. It was the perfect amount of food with lots of interesting flavors and texture in every bite. Next time, I'd like to try some of their others like the Japanese Miso or Thai Soup. As a side note, the place also serves banh mi and other Vietnamese offerings as a collaboration with "Banh Mi Ko".

One of my new favorite spots! The food was great, I love the variety they offer. I had the spicy Thai hot pot and it was incredible! The service was great as well, I'll definitely be coming back!

Late night hot pot cravings led me to Tasty Pot again and this time I was convinced! It was a slower night, great service, and the soup was more flavorful and enjoyable this time around. The vibes were warm and cozy especially with this colder weather. It might be best to come when they're less busy to get the best out of Tasty Pot.

Words cannot express how happy I am that they opened a Tasty Pot location in Northridge! As a Boiling Point fan, it's hard to find an equivalent in the valley and it has been years since I've lived in Irvine so I was definitely craving something similar. I saw that this location was open until 10 PM and was pleasantly surprised that there was NO WAIT on a Thursday evening at 8 PM. BP could literally never. The staff was sweet and I placed my order via QR code on the table. They have 4 different sauces/spices on the table and I always opt for soy garlic which was the right balance of sweetness. The beef pot is my favorite and it also has pretty much the same ingredients in it. HOWEVER, Tasty Pot has a HEAPING serving of beef in comparison to Boiling Point which means you're getting more bang for your buck. The pot comes with its own sterno that you can turn off if it gets too hot and the server will come to your table from time to time to top you up with more broth if you would like. Your soup comes with a side of rice or vermicelli. Overall, I was very pleased with my experience and look forward to returning. (27/50--2025)

Came here on a weekday evening and it was not busy at all. However, it took a couple minutes for us to be seated and have our orders taken. After we ordered, our beef hot pot came out quite quickly. The pot was overflowing and happy with the assortment of beef, fish cake, clams, napa cabbage and corn. It came with a pork broth with tolerable saltiness level. It came with vermicelli noodles and rice. This regular size was enough for 2 people that are not too hungry. But if you are hungry, 1 pot is good for 1 person. There was 3 sauces, which was enough to compliment the meal. I would go back again and try different bowls. Parking was easy and free in a strip mall.

Very popular Taiwanese cuisine! The place was booming with customers ! Many families enjoying hot pot it was nice to see the family dynamic coming back to life! My siblings enjoy this particular restaurant about once a week and they brought me with them today! I'm Not really soup aficionado but I came along for the experience! I had this awesome Vietnamese coffee with cream and it was really mind blowing! Very strong but very good. I should not had drank the whole thing so close to bedtime but here I was kind of hooked on it! Anyway we shared some Thai healthy soup and omitted some things like the lotus but other than that, spicy and great for this weather! Soups are made to order so please be patient. I saw some new items had been posted on the door so maybe I'll try those out as well next time!

It was a Thursday night just before closing, the kind of time when normal people are brushing their teeth and regretting their life choices, but I was a block away from CSUN, standing in front of tasty pot - because apparently, I believe in late night hot pot soup on a hot summer night. Walking in, I was greeted by decor that screamed welcome to Taiwan. Until you scratch the surface and realize the whole operation actually started in San Francisco. Which technically is kind of Taiwan adjacent if you squint, eat some Kim chi, dumpling, hot soup, and suspend disbelief. I ordered the #7 kimchi dumpling hot soup, which came with, roughly the entire Pacific Ocean and half a farm inside it. Pork slices? Check. Shrimp? check. Clams? Check. An anxious flooding around an existential confusion? Also check. Honestly, it felt less like a meal and more like an episode of wears Waldo, except Waldo was a vermicelli noodle trying not to drown in kimchi bone broth. The soup itself? Spicy, savory, and hot enough to sear away any bad decisions you made during freshman year. The flavors were layered like, I could almost taste the corporate tagline whispering "real meat, bones, cabbage, and seasoning imported from Taiwan, Los Angeles, San Gabriel adjacent." Which saves the fair amount of on the gas bill if you're in the San Fernando Valley. Minimum while, the vibe in the restaurant was comfortably modern, which I think translates to "dim lights, clean tables, and just enough Taiwanese signage to trick your brain into forgetting that you're in Northridge." The staff was friendly, though they definitely had that "please don't order anything else, we close in 10 minutes" smile plastered on their faces. I will try to be considered as fast and leave, But the tasty hot pot is hot. Their motto: "in order to live well, you must eat well." odd words for a place that gives me imitation crime,, vocal, and mini sausage in the same pot. But you know what? They're not wrong - I left feeling alive, full, and mildly sweaty. So yes, tasty pot is authentic, San Francisco Taiwanese authenticity. A place where you're a soup has more supporting characters than a marvel movie, your broth is scolding enough to file a lawsuit, and your late night cravings fully meet their chaotic match. Would I recommend it? Absolutely. But bring a bib, a strong stomach, and enough self-awareness to admit you just paid good money for boiled cabbage at 10 PM on Thursday, I did.

Second time here and it was better than the first time. Met my friends here for lunch. There wasn't a lot of people here that day. The place was very clean and inviting. Our server was very friendly. The soups are always on point. Great flavor. Hot. And service is top tier. If you like Hot pot, definitely give this place a try.

Is it possible to order a hotpot without the rice/noodles addon? I love hotpot but trying to do low…

The menu was on laminated paper which must be a few years old and felt disgusting to touch. I started with hot tea and it was served in a metal cup. I wish they served it in a nice ceramic container for customer's enjoyment. For lunch, we ordered chicken chow mein and their pork and crab dumpling (like a xiao long bao). The chicken chow mein had a boatload of cabbage and probably 10 strips of chow mein noodles. It should have been called cabbage noodles (lol). The pork and crab dumplings would have been a hit, but the dumpling shell had a "soapy" smell. The meat inside was soft and tasted good, but I couldn't get over the smell of the shell. We would have also wanted to try seaweed salad, but it was unavailable on this day. The parking at Northern Cafe is plenty. The staff is also courteous. But given the state of the food and overall feel, I give it only two stars. Truthfully, you can find better Chinese food close by this area. There's Maru Ramen on Reseda and Nordhoff, or Silverlake Ramen on Rinaldi. And no, I don't work for either of those places. All of this feedback is based on customer experience.

I meant to order bibimbap hot stone with beef, but misunderstood the server and ordered bulgogi hot stone instead. the dish came with a bowl of rice in the middle and stir fried beef with onion around the rice on a hot stone dish. the beef was flavorful with a tinge of sweetness, but the meat was tough to chew on. The portion was big that the three of us can only finish 1/2 the order. the service was good as the server kept checking on us and added extra banchan and hot water on demand. price is average of $20+/dish as Korean food are always more expensive. our bill was ~$50.
