Came in on a wed. for dinner. Not too busy and was seated right away. Hot pot comes in an individual bowl and is most porked based with a water based at request. Variety with the veggies and fish cakes can use some work, but all of the necessary ones are there. Meat options are limited on silver with better cuts on the gold tier. Variety of appetizers are also decent with Mala skewers, fries, calamari, dumplings, takoyaki, and rice bowls. Sauce station is lacking sesame oil but does have sesame sauce. Amanda and Angelina were friendly and checked on our table frequently. Overall, friendly staff and decent food for Northridge.

Caution before you visit! The restaurant's reel advertises "$22.95/$23 All You Can Eat" and emphasize unlimited skewers and other appetizers. However, it does not disclose that there are two different AYCE tiers. If you're expecting to receive the skewers and other appetizers shown in the promotion, you'll actually need to order the $28.95 GOLD option. I couldn't find any explanation of these two tiers anywhere on their Instagram page. I also noticed someone asked about the AYCE prices in the comments, and the restaurant replied: "$22.95 for lunch & $28.95 for dinner with unlimited meat, appetizers and our signature rice bowl." That response still doesn't explain that there are different menu tiers or that the skewers and some of the items shown in the promotion are not included in the lower-priced option. I personally found the promotion misleading because it gave me the impression that the advertised items were included with the $22.95/$23 AYCE. Just make sure you know which menu you're ordering before you go.

Small bumps from the extremely hot soup

This is the worst place to come eat hot pot, starting with the service we had to continuously ask for water & refills as no other drinks were offered and they would forget to give us water. It is an all you can eat hot pot for $28.95 per person does not matter if it's a child under age or taller than 4 feet everyone is charged the same (adult or child), they have a $7 feet per person for food waste. The pot was boiling hot and couldn't even eat the food, because there is no adjusting the heat temp. WE ALL ENDED UP WITH OUR TONGUES BURNED! We ran out of soup juice and had to get up to ask for more as the server wouldn't go to our table and he came with water and said "Get up so I can fill it up" no excuse me or would you pls get up. Another person in my party asked for them to turn off the propane for his pot and instead the server put more water/soup until we asked again for them to turn it off. There was no flavor on the soup and everything was extremely hot and very overcooked. The place itself looks and is dirty as well as the tables. The restrooms smell like Raid coach-roach killing spray and was very dirty, the hand soap just had water in it. They close at 10pm and around 10:20 the server said "I'm sorry you guys have to leave, we are closed" First & last time coming here!!! Left with a burned tongue, upset stomach and headache from the smell of propane and "Raid" smell. Overall would never recommend to anyone! Only because you have to give it a star for the review, otherwise I would give it 0 stars. I would have and am considering on requesting a full/half refund because it was overall really bad and overpriced. $127 plus tip for a party of 4 (2 adults & 2 kids) for a burning hot pot is ridiculous!!!

We were craving hot pot but didn't wanna spend an arm and a leg at an ayce shabu. Thank god for northridge and tasty pot! The decor inside is super cute and very on theme. Great selection of sauces (my bf loved the satay and the soy garlic hit home for me), really great attentive service even tho u could tell the server was the only one working the floor. We shared the tomato hotpot and calamari. They were both sooo good. Love the spicy salt on the calamari. Maybe bc we have smaller appetites but we found the serving size perfect. Our server even brought extra broth for us to take to go:) such a great experience will def be back!

Tasty Pot at Northridge in the San Fernando Valley is a great spot for hot pots. We've eaten at Tasty Pot twice and both visits the staff provided excellent customer service. They are consistent with providing great care and excellent customer service to their diners. They are also one of the few restaurants that label their menu with ingredients and allergy information. We love to frequent restaurants that provide both excellent customer service and cater to families with food allergies. We ordered the Cheesy Milk Hot Soup, Curry, Hot Soup, Beef Hot Soup, Tomato Hot Soup and Fried Calamari. Delicious, plentiful and flavorful hot pots with lots of beef, shrimp, scallops, crabs and vegetables along with muscles. Tasty Pot did not disappoint. Their Fried Calamari is also good, crispy and crunchy. We also appreciated the fact that their base soups vary and you have the option to choose none peanut and non sesame broth soups especially if you're a family with food allergies. We can't wait to come back and try other items on Tasty Pot's menu. In the meantime, we will continue to tell our family and friends about Tasty Pot especially our family and friends with food allergies.

    Taiwanese Supreme Spicy Hot Soup

I've been here twice now, and my first visit was on Mother's Day. I must say, this place is fantastic! I ordered the Taiwanese Supreme Spicy Hot Soup, and the portion was generous enough for two people to share comfortably. The hot pot itself reminded me of Taiwan, bringing back memories with its authentic flavors and comforting taste. While I wasn't a huge fan of the takoyaki, everything else more than made up for it. The service was excellent--friendly, attentive, and very welcoming. The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting, making it a great place to enjoy a meal and unwind. A big bonus is the unlimited soup, which adds even more value to the dining experience. Overall, I highly recommend this place and will definitely be coming back!

Super tasty broth options!!! Menu shows the pricing on the top right of the sheets and they also vary depending on lunch period or dinner period. Lunch pricing is until 4PM I believe. I like that the menu also easily shows if there's nuts included in the dish!!! Usually pretty slow when we come in, so the server is very attentive and is easy to grab the attention of. Perfect for when it's cold outside and I think it's a good spot to go to. Parking lot has plenty of free parking usually but there's a lot of businesses in the area. I only wish the shrimp and the crabs is de-shelled already so it would be easier to eat. Plenty of ingredients are put in the soup and gives a good hearty meal.

Thai broth with some of those balls and beef

Its my first time trying this spot. My friend highly recommended it. He also mentioned to make sure to try the roe balls, foszhou balls and the popcorn chicken. He was definitely correct, because those were soo good! The crew was very attentive to check on our broth and if everything was OK. Im already recommending this place to my friends and family

This is one of my go-to hot pot places in the area. It's so similar to Boiling Point. The flavor profile is there and the amount of food is comparable. I ordered the beef hot pot in a regular size and was able to finish it. The beef or the Taiwanese hot pot are my go-to flavors. I love that it comes with green tea or black tea as well. Another thing, I do like about this place is that I am able to turn the flame off myself lol. I hate when my hot pot continues to boil and makes it too hot for me to eat so being able to turn the flame off myself is super convenient. Lastly, I 've been here a few times since they opened and lately their customer service has been so much better! Really happy about that.

Spicy Thai Satay with beef & lamb shoulder! Got ramen, cabbage and other adds on which were all included with the AYCE

Visited Tasty Pot earlier this week and meant to write the review, but overall had a great time, service was very helpful and assured I could solo AYCE dine! Can't remember my servers name but he had a hat on and was on the taller side, explained the AYCE menu very well and helped me with all my questions. Great price complimented with great service. 10/10, well done Tasty Pot!

Hi there! We don't take reservations, but you're welcome to call ahead to check availability before coming in.

Is this All You Can eat meat choices? Are the sides free refillable? Or do they charge extra for more? Thank you! I'm used to Momo Paradise where everything is on the bar area. Even though it is Shabu Shabu. Thank you again.

The broth is all you can eat. The rest is per order

Is it possible to order a hotpot without the rice/noodles addon? I love hotpot but trying to do low…

Yes I'm sure they would accommodate that, you can ask them.

Very honest opinion: Not sure if I'm eating the same food as everyone else leaving reviews here,…read morebut I got the signature beef (Lanzhou) noodle soup combo and it was incredibly disappointing~mediocre. Server guy was chill. The food is served in a paper bowl, unlike the nice bowls you see in their pics. Tl;dr: if you're curious, don't waste your time, bafang is open 5min away Preface: I KNOW it's mall food, but for a restaurant that continuously pops up as #1 on Yelp whenever I search for food around the northridge/chatsworth area, I'm going to treat it as if it were a #1 spot. Beef noodle soup: to be very blunt, this was quite flavorless. The beef was dry as bones and looked like it was sliced with a mandoline. The noodles seemed undercooked and it felt like I was eating al dente spaghetti noodles. I got a medium spice level which didn't even seem that spicy, just a lot of cough inducing chili oil with no burn. Pan fried dumplings were ok. It honestly tasted like it was deep fried and not pan fried. Unsweetened black tea: hands down the best of the 3 things in the combo, which is quite telling. Honestly you get a decent amount of food for $15. But to constantly take the top 5 for recommended on Yelp in this area and waste my time to even look at it, it definitely doesn't belong remotely close to top 10.

The service was friendly and the wait was reasonable. Its located in the mall which means that you don't really get much of a vibe from this place alone but of everything surrounding. The soup was not spicy imo, I have a high tolerance, but it did have a good flavor. The noodles were thick and soft but they lacked a bit of flavor. The beef was soft and flavorful with the smaller bits of beef, which resembled ground beef, were very tasty. The soup was good overall but felt a bit too oily. The dumplings had a light crunchy exterior and the inside was juicy but it felt just a bit too mushy for me. Overall a good place and I would return to try something else.

I got the sesame noodles and 6 pc signature dumplings. Here's a tip - when you order to go they don't give you the sauces. You must get the sauces. I used the little cups and got all the sauces. The garlic sauce and hot sauce and you must use it. I swear it makes a huge difference. Also like any dumplings you must consume it right away. The restaurant was clean and open so even if it's casual it's a good place to eat with family/ friends. Since this is a a known Taiwanese franchise, all the other customers were Asian so that tells you it's legit! I'll definitely order again for lunch. The options seem similar to Chubby Dumpling and Tigawok. I ordered the #4 Combo, with the Signature Dumplings and the Signature Noodles. Both dishes were good. The Signature Noodles were nicely done and had some good flavor, I just wish that there was a protein option to add to it. The Signature Dumplings were fine. I've also tried the Spicy Wontons, which were small but tasty. The big sell here is the Taiwanese Beef Noodle Soup, for $17.95. This is the only dish that's served in a big ceramic bowl, and not a to-go container. It also comes with a proper Ramen soup spoon. This is a meal on it's own. Filled with broth, noodles, chunks of tender, but fatty beef, daikon radishes and bok choy. The dish is good for the price, but the broth was a bit underwhelming for my taste. Fortunately, they have plenty of condiments to add more spice and heat. Over all, Bafang Dumpling was better than expected.
