My 98 year old Dad, my 23 year old daughter and I went to Moonfish Restaurant on Tuesday. We were a little worried because not too many cars but we decided to give it a chance. I'm so glad we did. The host and server was delightful, the food was AMAZING. My Dad is a tough critic and he loved the bourbon steak tips, my daughter said the mussels were the best, very tasty. Stopped in at this restaurant after a long day. It was around 5pm so a little early for supper but we were hungry . Very few people there. We weren't even sure they were open. I walked back to the bar to see if they were open. The service ended up being good, the food was really good too. We decided to share 3 appetizers. I had the garlic shrimp, my sister had the calamari, and my other sister had the bacon wrapped scallops. I didn't care for the scallops but both my sisters loved them. My shrimp was good. Lots of butter and the shrimp was very tender. The calamari was the star of the night. I'm not generally a fan of calamari but this was delicious. I'm so glad I gave it another chance. read more

Velma at Moonfish is amazing. We usually host a party after the parade but because of the snow, we had no room for people to park and we could not use the yard for the kids. I met Velma when I attended a fundraiser last fall. I asked her if she'd do a private party and she was extremely accommodating. Restaurant is immaculate, food is delicious and she will do private party's. We had a wonderful after parade party today! Thank you Velma and staff. read more

We tried a new place for breakfast and were very pleasantly surprised. Beautifully renovated (used to be the Royal Palace) and very clean and bright. First of all, the coffee was fabulous. There's only one better place for coffee - Three Fins which specializes in coffee! Food was very good- I had delicious cranberry walnut pancakes and Dave had the standard American eggs and sausage. Sausage was juicy and tasty - we've been having some dried out leathery versions lately and this was refreshing! Service was a little slow but otherwise we would recommend! Server was attentive and friendly. That's the good. Ordered steamed lobster $39...clam plate server stated "no clams". Ordered meatloaf special. Server returned to say lobster was now $49.95. Enjoying or Cosmo and wine...Server returned stated "no lobster". Paid for drinks with tip and left. Too many options in the area... probably won't bother returning. We went last night with high hopes and came away disappointed. Waitresses were competent and nice. That is the highlight of our experience though. There was only one cook on duty and we waited nearly an hour for our meal. There were only 4 parties seated so they weren't being slammed. It's said that good things come to those who wait...not the case here. I tried the fried seafood platter and could tell that it was your typical frozen portioned food service fare. Even the onion rings. My wife mentioned the sauce with her chicken parmigiana tasted like pizza sauce. She did like the potato skins. Overall very disappointing and not cheap. read more

Today 7/6/2025 My wife and I walked in at 2pm to have a drink not one custmer in the place. Walked past two workers sitting in the 1st room on our right on their cell phones they could care less. we kept going to the bar no one at the bar working. We sat down waited 10 min. still no one came. We got up and left we did see the cook or bottle washer go into the mens room he smiled that was it and walking right by the 2 same girls still on their cell phones didn't even look at us or say one word. we should have done a video. not thinking we could not belive what just happen. read more

Dropped in just after 9pm bc we thought it'd be open due to Yelp stating hours til 1am. They were cleaning but accommodated us and we weren't disappointed! Service was great and friendly. Crab cake on bao was delicious (they toast the bao) and fries were perfect. Bisque and chowder were happily devoured. My husband and I stopped here at lunchtime on a Wednesday. Very clean inside. Staff was friendly and helpful. We met the owner and were inquiring about having an event in their space. Just tried new restaurant Moonfish in West Dennis. Great breakfast. They serve lunch and dinner as well and have a beautiful bar area. They opened over the winter and are open year round. They've done a great job renovating a former Chinese restaurant. Check it out. read more

First time visiting the relatively new West Dennis, MA dining experience. My wife and I with 7 other dining companions visited Moonfish for the first time. It was at 11:30 a.m. on a Wednesday with sunny but very cold windchills outside. Our waiter was conscientious and attentive as we had the restaurant area to ourselves. Moonfish offers breakfast from 7:00 a.m. opening 'til 2:00 p.m. I was the sole individual to request the breakfast menu. I opted for the Beach Omelet (a Portuguese Omelet really). It was ample in size and filled with linguica chunks, red pepper and yellow onion dices with a hearty helping of cheddar cheese accompanied by 2 slices of whole wheat toast and 2 hash brown patties. Several toast options were offered as were an alternative of home fries. Other diners had the Cape Cod Rueben, fried cod fish loins on a brioche bun with crispy twice fried pencil fries; steak and cheese subs; and crab cakes. Every dish was piping hot upon service. Moonfish has a full pouring license, and the imbibers complimented the potency of their alcohol libations. Cast your food desires toward the Moonfish. I don't think that you will regret the stop. We tried Moonfish since Brax Landing and Swan River had an hour wait. Few cars in parking lot and few tables filled in restaurant. Pleasant staff. Seated right away. Requested cheeseburger be medium rare and it came well done. Fries were very good. Fish sandwich was small and had to ask for tartar sauce. Menu prices the same as other higher end restaurants but no ambiance. No bread or rolls with butter or dipping sauce served while we waited at least a half hour for our meal. Probably wouldn't return. read more
