A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. The food is incredible. We had Hogfish and the Dungeness crab. Both dishes were so good. As sides, I'd go for the cilantro rice and tomato cucumber salad. The fries were normal, as was the coleslaw. The tomato cucumber salad had a fantastic basil vinaigrette dressing which was topped a nice small selection of cucumbers and tomatoes. Simple, but perfect. The staff were so friendly and knowledgable. No complaints at all. Best to call ahead and make some kind of reservation, otherwise you'll be waiting a while. Loved loved loved loved loved this place. Hubby and I rented a Harley and went driving up the south Florida coastline. About an hour in we checked Yelp and found this place. This is the ultimate book/cover lesson. The place isn't much to look at from the outside (or the inside for that matter), but boy, is the food good. We started with conch fritters, which were loaded up with conch. Hubby wasn't in the mood for seafood (the horror!), so he has a cheeseburger. He said it was obviously grilled and was delicious. I, on the other hand, was drawn in by the Bacon Wrapped Scallop Burger. The menu says it's "a must try." It is, truely, a must try. Three large, wonderfully seared scallops wrapped in perfect crispy bacon and served on a terrific potato roll. This was a wonderful experience. One of our favorites since we moved here almost 6 years ago. A small quaint local laid back spot to enjoy a meal. The Royal reds are a must, Although I have gotten them before undeveined, I don't like them at all. I usually make a meal of the reds with the island rice and plantains. I'm sad they got rid of my Cayman Jack margaritas though especially since they don't offer a full bar. I found a couple replacements on the drink menu, just not the same though. We always get the fish dip appetizer and rum cake, you won't be disappointed. Although they did change the crackers on us too. I do wish they wouldn't change the little things that matter. read more

Tonight we both had dungeness crab. So its 1 lb of dungeness, 2 halves. That doesn't sound like much to my husband, but they were so "meaty" . Definitely a meal. Sometimes you know what you are hungry for, but it isn't always that easy to find the place that serves it up. Today my friends and I were craving a Mahi sandwich. We were in an unfamiliar area so we opened the Yelp App and started reading reviews for restaurants nearby. There was a little place that came up, so I started reading the reviews. Each review said, "Don't judge a book by its cover" or " Don't pass on this place based on its appearance." We decided to try it out. From the outside, the restaurant didn't seem appealing. DO NOT ALLOW THE APPEARANCE TO SWAY YOU. Let me say again, trust the reviews. Every review we read said they had great seafood. We trusted the Yelp community and I am so glad we did. We ordered drinks, fish dip with a side of jalapeños and the "Reds" Argentinian warm shrimp appetizer that our server suggested. He said is tasted like lobster dipped in warm butter. He was absolutely right. Yum! The Fish dip was great too, served with crackers, cucumbers, onions, and tomatoes. It was great! We all three ordered the Mahi Sandwich - Blackened, with a side of fries. Their tartar sauce had a delish amount of dill in it and so fresh I asked for more. The Mahi sandwich was exactly what we were craving. Everything about it was so good. Definitely try this place. This is a Bar and grill. Don't expect some fancy, "white tablecloth" type of restaurant. The service was great, the food was great, and the music was great, so this place deserves all the stars. Best cracked conch outside of the Bahamas. The crab bisque is really good too! Their Grouper stuffed with crab meat is outstanding. We were advised to try to eat at this place during our one week stay in Stuart. So glad we made it. You will not be impressed by the looks of this place on the outside but as my mom used to say it's what's on the inside that counts. We were seated immediately although told it can get busy at times. The service and the hostess was wonderful and everyone complied with COVID-19 protocol. The food which was why I am writing this review was amazing. My wife had crab legs from Alaska and I had soft shell crabs not sure from where. The side dishes made the main course was very filling. You won't be disappointed try this place out at least once. Recently (10/5/22) enjoyed a great lunch. We ordered: crab bisque, excellent, I really don't think more crab could have been added. Smoked fish dip, best presentation I've seen so far in the area (comes with fresh chopped red onions, cucumbers, sliced jalapeños, tomatoes, & Romaine lettuce hearts as well as packaged crackers) and the dip itself was a generous scoop, it was delicious! The grilled yellow tail & Mahi sandwiches came with crisp lettuce, tomatoes, and onions. Everything was delicious and served by the nicest lady working the bar area.
