My wife and I have visited this restaurant several times with my brother-in-law and sister-in-law while visiting them during the summer months. We have enjoyed their breakfast menu, ordering their crabcakes and scrambled eggs with crabmeat. My wife enjoys the bloody Marys served with Old Bay seasoning. The portion sizes are average and we have always walked away satisfied that we had enough to eat. The crowd can get very noisy during the peak season. The staff is friendly, attentive and quick . The owner gives a helping hand with his staff, seating guests and taking their orders. The restaurant is a bit cramped with the tables fairly close to one another with each table seating about four people each. Everyone makes due with no complaints. There is a bar at the center of the restaurant serving mixed drinks and beer. There are beautiful views of the bay/waterways making it a relaxing place to enjoy good food, friends and family, along with the scenery. They sell merchandise such as t-shirts, hats and other knick knacks. Parking can be very difficult due to a small parking lot and the summer months bringing large crowds to the area. Prices a a bit on the high side, which is to be expected due to Fenwick Island being a touristy area during the summer months. I strongly recommend going earlier in the day to avoid the crowds. Doesn't look like much from the outside, and honestly, doesn't look like much on the inside either, but the view is nice, it's clean, neat, and well cared for. Service is friendly, attentive, and efficient. We enjoyed the old-bay wings - they're breaded style, but well executed. Crispy, tender, and tasty. We ordered some tots to go with, and they were good, though a bit overpriced at $11. Crab cakes are GREAT, and did not disappoint. The 5oz was satisfying, and you could tell, immediately, that they weren't made with packaged crab. It's uncommon to find crab cakes made with local blue crab. Bloody Mary was good, but a little disappointing given all the hype. Flavor was good, but it was weak on the vodka. The crab they used there wasn't as good - it had that "packaged" taste and texture to it. We'll definitely return for the food, but I'll pass on the bloody. read more

This is our go-to restaurant ever since we moved here 7ish years ago. The food is good - one favorite is their salmon bowl with rice, black beans, corn and salsa. The food itself was very good...crab cakes were flavorful and lived up to expectations, and overall a solid meal. Service was good. Nothing particularly memorable, but nothing terrible either. Unfortunately, the biggest issue was the dining room. The dining area we were seated at was extremely hot (over 85 degrees) ...needless to say it was extremely uncomfortable. We asked to move to a cooler section of the restaurant, and while there were multiple open tables available, we were told no. Stopped into crabcake factory last Sunday morning, my party of 5 was seated promptly. They have a good brunch menu with drinks topped with crab, there is something here for everyone. Crabcake Factory has always been one of my all time favorite restaurants! More importantly, it has become my favorite brunch spot in recent years. If you haven't heard by now, CCF's Bloody Mary is world famous for a reason. It is without a doubt the best Bloody Mary I've ever had. You can get it loaded with bacon, shrimp, or crab. It comes with a kick and an Old Bay rim. The Crabcake skillet is my go-to brunch choice. It's crispy breakfast potatoes topped with cheese, lump crab meat, and eggs your way. It's absolutely delicious. CCF's staff is always warm, welcoming, and hospitable. This specific location is my favorite because of the atmosphere and the views of the bay. There's also often live music. I should also note that there are plenty of breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner options for non-seafood lovers, so don't be deceived by the name of the restaurant! Top Notch Bloody Mary!! I remember from my visit last year just how good their Bloody Marys and again they didn't disappoint. I did forgot how great their happy hour is though. Monday-Friday 12-6 with $6 Bloody Marys / Orange Crushes and $3 Rail Drinks along with other options. We stopped by one day on our way back to the house for drinks coming from another restaurant. We got seats at the bar and ordered a Triple Threat Bloody Mary and 3 orange crushes. The triple threat is topped with lump crab, shrimp, bacon, an olive, green beans, and a tomato. It was definitely a meal in itself. Something I'm happy I ordered but wouldn't need to order again. Each crush is made with fresh, hand squeezed orange juice to order and they tasted great. After I finished the Triple Threat I stuck with bloody marys off of the happy hour menu. Their house made Bloody Mary mix is delicious and they're served with spicy, pickled green beans that we couldn't get enough of. The bartenders were nice and personable, especially the girl who waited on us the second day (I'll get more into that later on). The atmosphere was laid back and it seemed as if there were lots of locals and regulars at the bar. The location is great being right on the water, but the parking is a pain. The lot is small and crammed but we had no issues finding parking either days. We enjoyed the drinks so much we decided to go back again a couple of days later, this time to order food as well. We had a shaved prime rib sandwich (which my mom really enjoyed), a burger, mussels, crabby pizza, and jerk wings. The bartender really made sure she walked us through what to expect with each menu item we ordered even though we didn't ask. We appreciated her insight and thoroughness with the menu. I heard the burger was okay, and I thought the same about the wings and mussels. I did like the crabby pizza, but the food I choose wasn't as good as I had hoped it would be. I know we'll be back to the Crabcake Factory Bayside at some point next June. The bloody marys and orange crushes for $6 are just way too good to pass up. read more

Really enjoyed the happy hour food specials. Grabbed a spot on the patio and had a relaxing view of the bay. Mussels were really great! Not usually a cream of crab soup person but that was tasty. By far my FAVORITE place to go every time i'm in the Fenwick/OCMD area. Every time I make the drive down from PA, this is my FIRST STOP! The Crab Dip is phenomenal, the Mussels and Clams are to die for, the Crushes are delicious and refreshing. I have not tried the Bloody Marys (working up to liking tomato juice) but they look amazing and I have heard incredible things! One day I will do it! We had great service here but the food was absolutely terrible. My crab cake tasted as if the crabmeat was on the edge of going bad. It was wet inside after I asked that it be well done-I sent it back and it came back the same. There was one lump in the entire cake. I also asked for the hand cut fries to be well done and they were a greasy soggy floppy mess. The ribs were the least meaty ribs I've EVER seen and the amount of (2 different) sauces on top was disgusting- you couldn't see or taste the meat at all. The brisket was very fatty and my friend that ordered it was up sick in the middle of the night. Our other friend ordered fish tacos and they were also COVERED in 2 different sauces and she said they were awful. The only thing on the entire table we enjoyed was an appetizer special of -crab stuffed mushroom caps. I asked if the shrooms were well cooked or not and was told they were. Well they were not. But still good. My husband's dinner of a crab cake and rib was $48 and inedible. We will never be back! The entree came with two sides. I chose the sweet cole slaw and fries. The brisket was tender and delicious. The 5 oz crabcake was just as good as the reviews! It was all lump crab meat with very little filler except to hold it together. I really enjoyed it! The coleslaw was tasty as well. The fries however were hard as rocks and seemed to have been refried, and were totally gross and inedible. We ordered the coconut shrimp as an appy. Sadly, there was very little coconut flavor to the shrimp. The dipping sauce was tasty. My dinner companion ordered the baby back ribs with the sides being macaroni and cheese and the fries as well. She did not care for the BBQ sauce and the ribs weren't as fall off the bone as she prefers. Also the menu described the ribs being half off the bone and some still on the bones. , these were two large half racks of ribs. I liked the mustard infused BBQ sauce. The other issue we had were the black ants. They were crawling on the table and we had to keep shooing away with napkins. We this brought to the attention of the server. I have heard Crabcake factory wins best crab cakes consistently in OCMD and surrounding area. We are big fans of all things crab so had to give this place a try on our trip. We went early evening and the place was pretty busy. However, we easily got a table looking at the bay, quite pretty. Our waitress was absolutely so sweet and attentive.... Great quick service. This place is definitely run well between the hostess, wait staff , and food runners. Drinks: We went for the Crush drinks (orange and lemon) because we love them and you have to get them when you are in the area, sooo fresh and good! No place makes them like OCMD and Delaware beach towns! They also have a variety of other drinks. They are known for their bloody Mary's and those look great.... Just not personally our thing to have a savory alcoholic beverage. Food was very good. We started with the cream of crab soup- it was LOADED with crab. The flavor was good but I definitely have had better as far as flavor. Not my favorite in the area but is was good. Their food menu is pretty big with crab and shrimp being the stars of it. However, for non-seafood lovers they also have many options: burgers, chicken, steaks, and ribs to name a few. As you can see from my last two reviews in 2022 this is one of my local favorites for lunch. My family of six including two elementary school children were here for lunch. The place was not packed. We were seated at a high top including in the main area near the main bar overlooking the bay. I started with my Havana banana with coconut rum, banana rum, pineapple juice and a splash of grenadine for $9. I ended my lunch with a draft Guinness for $6. I also enjoyed my authentic Philly Cheesesteak with cheese whiz, American or Provolone cheese with homemade potato chips for $17. I chose American over provolone cheese. I also was allowed some toppings. I chose fried onions and Jalapenos. The potato chips were not that salty. I could only eat half of my sandwich, therefore, I took half home for dinner. Amberlily served us very well. Our bill was $188 for cash or $196 less gratuity charged to my credit card, which I opted for the latter. A lot of restaurants are now adding credit card surcharges.
