We definitely came hungry but when I say how those Incredulous CRAB CAKES won the game?! I only ordered one crab cake that I ate on for 2 days! The green beans were yummy too lol We also had (steak) fries that were yummy and mashed potatoes (meh). We also ordered dessert to go. The GERMAN CHOCOLATE CAKE was delicious!!! My friend's daughter took home the coconut cake and said it was YUMMY !!! I give CINDY 5 stars for making our dining experience FANTASTIC!! Otherwise, it was SUPER LOUD in the dining room. We could barely hear each other lol Oh sorry I didn't take pics! I was so hungry when the crab cakes arrived at the table that I just dug in lol

5 Stars - Absolutely Worth the Visit!…read more My husband and I discovered Blue Dolphin on social media. We didn't know anyone personally who had been there, but the photos and buzz convinced us to give it a try. We are so glad we did. We drove about 40 minutes and arrived without reservations. That part was on us. We didn't realize how strongly reservations are recommended. The wait was about an hour, but it was completely worth it. The restaurant was packed, which told us right away that this place is well loved. While we were waiting, we noticed something special. The owner, Mr. Pete, was actively involved at the front desk. He checked the waiting list, greeted guests, and spoke to many customers by name. You could immediately tell he has built real relationships with his clientele. There were several birthday celebrations happening, and the energy in the lobby felt warm and welcoming. Once seated, we were taken care of by our server, Louie. He was attentive, knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely kind. Excellent service makes a big difference, and Louie absolutely delivered. Now the food. Phenomenal. We ordered seafood platters, and the portions were enormous. They start you off with warm bread and butter, which set the tone. The seafood was fresh, perfectly prepared, and beautifully presented. The portions were so generous that we had enough left over to enjoy brunch the next day. For the quality and quantity, the pricing was very reasonable. The drinks were excellent, the ambiance was lively yet comfortable, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations. Blue Dolphin is clearly a local favorite for a reason. We will absolutely be back. And next time, we will definitely make reservations. Highly recommend.

I was a first timer and she's been once before. Given the name, I figured it was a seafood restaurant. Although some seafood is on the menu, Pier 99 is primarily a Sushi/Asian food restaurant. I think a name change should be in order.. Lol! I literally had to switch up my taste buds to partake in some sushi! I ordered a seafood boil because I couldn't switch them up fast enough while she ordered sushi. I actually love the concept because so many people aren't sushi fans but most folks get down with seafood! The food was actually good and they pulled off both cuisines effortlessly! My margarita was as good as any chain Mexican restaurant, so that was additional plus given the Mexican holiday. The interior is on the smaller side, however, they offer booth seating and it has a decent size bar. If I lived in the Upper Marlboro/Bowie area like I used to, I'd come here often but since I don't, I'll occasionally stop in when I'm in the area! Good job Pier 99!

I called told the person on the phone who then said she could do a replacement, but I must have my receipt so I returned Saturday today, one week from the fourth. I told the very nice lady at the bar the issue with the crabs she said she would get the manager . The manager walked out and said to me, ma'am, can you step over here, not even a hello to me. I then very politely stated the issue with the crabs smelling like ammonia. She said my receipt was from last weekend. I said yes had to work, and could only come the following weekend and I drove a great distance to get here. She said who did you speak with? I said I spoke with a lady, but I can't remember her name. I regret not writing her name down. The manager then said no we cannot replace the crabs for you because you can't remember who you spoke with and because it is the following weekend, she said it very rude and smug, as if I had done something to her I was so surprised at her demeanor and was wondering, why was she talking so loud to me. There were only a few people in there, and of course you could feel the eyes watching. She then said she knows of the ammonia smell, and that is normal because crabs are bottom feeders. I kind of thought that was an odd response because I have eaten crabs all of my life. I love them. Now if the ammonia smell and taste is normal crab businesses would Not be in business. I did not say that to her, but that's what I was thinking. I then asked who was in charge over her, she replied I am the manager I am in charge. I said no who is over you, she said the general manager. I said to her I paid a lot of money for those crabs and will be filing a complaint she said to me OK OK! again very smug and loud. I couldn't believe and understand why she was so loud and dismissive she just looked at me so I proceeded to ask for the general manager's name which she gave to me and then said she's just going to tell you the same thing I just told you. Because she continued to be ugly towards me. I asked if there was a Corporate office number or the owners of the crabshack. She said to me there is no Corporate office and the owners information is private so that's it! and she looked at me again she's just staring at me, no apology, no I'm sorry for your experience. Upon asking for the general manager's name she said she would let the general manager know I will be calling her. I proceeded to say thank you, (why am I thanking her) and as I was saying, thank you she turns and walks away from me, now that's a bit much. As I'm writing this review, I am still in shock and it's been some hours later. Shame on The Crabshack and their poor customer service. I thought I had a great new place to go and eat crabs. Bad Crabs bad experience.

From the bread, pasta, steak to the seafood, everything that graced my pretty little lips here was delicious (and served in huge portions)! I've now been to Allison's three times, and every time I come back, the offerings seem to get even better. Jerry's Seafood is located in Bowie near the Bowie Town Center and there was ample parking. We came in and were shown to our table. The ambiance was minimalistic Cap Cod vibes with wood beam walls with touches of nautical items (ship wheels and pictures of tin-canned oyster containers). Our server, Eddie, was excellent. He was engaging, informative, and just had a wonderful vibe throughout our dining experience. He started us off with a basket of rolls: hot and fresh with softened butter. Our meal was starting off just as we'd hope. We started with the fresh crab dip which was rich and creamy topped with jumbo lump crab, chives and a touch of Old Bay served hot with a sliced baguette. This was my first time experiencing a crab dip so LIGHT and creamy. The Old Bay was not overwhelming, just the perfect compliment to the fresh, sweet jumbo lump crab. The baguettes were more than enough and were crisp on one side and soft on the other. This dip was exceptional. Next was our entree, the crab bomb was served with two sides ( we got the seasoned wedges and stewed tomatoes). The stewed tomatoes were fresh with a sweetness that brought back memories. The wedges were perfect: pillowy soft inside with a crisp seasoned coating. Now the crab bomb....this was exceptional: 10 ounces of all lump crab, baked to perfection; no need for additional seasonings or even a sauce; maybe a squeeze of fresh lemon. It was so sweet and delicate; one of the best I have had in a while. We also got a Mariner's Platter to go: a six ounce crab cake, flounder, fried shrimp, steamed shrimp, fried oysters, and fries scallops with two sides ( we chose two garden salads). The platter was a bit skimpy for $63 and it was just okay for us; the scallops were not edible AT ALL: they had a metallic taste that was present on the first bite, that was disappointing (this dropped our score from a 5 to 4 stars). The salads were fresh and we got the honey/lemon dressing. That dressing was SO good! I usually don't go for creamy dressing like this, BUT this dressing was so unexpectedly good! All in all, a great meal that I will drive to Bowie again for with no hesitation (except for the Mariner's Platter).

So we drove a good 30mins to get here, with anticipation from seeing this restaurant on a travel channel, but the original location is in NY. We get there, and its plenty of free parking. We ask for seating for 3 and we are told they are only seating individuals who booked a reservation. Totally understandable considering its Valentine's day. I dropped the ball folks. I didn't make a reservation. So I noticed a bar lounge which we were told we could wait for a seat to open up. As we were waiting a coupled jumped in front us and took a seat. The manager Claudia came to the rescue like the dark knight but with more grace. She mentioned she was willing to put us on the list for a table in the main dining area. I accepted her kind gesture and continued to wait for bar lounge seating to open up. A couple was kind enough to come over to us and ask if we were waiting for bar lounge seating. They offered their table to us as they were ending their night. There was a 2 man band playing in the lounge area that was very soothing to the ear. As I tried to help my mother get comfortable at the hightop table, I noticed she was having a difficult time getting seated in such a high chair. Guess who came to the rescue, you guessed, Claudia! She's the best, 100 grand, made me a real fan. So she came over and said our table was ready if we wanted a booth seating and we all know that's the best seats in the house. All I could think is look at God. The wait wasn't even long either. 10 out of 10 for saving the day. In addition our waitress was such a sweetheart. I mentioned a white malbec I saw on the menu that I was astonish to see b/c I never knew of such a thing. She bought me a small glass to taste and my God, I am a true believer Jesus turned water into wine. Its so clear like water but the taste is amazing. The food is so delicious. The restaurant is very clean. The staff is very personalable. Everyone cartered to us. You would have thought we were the Obamas or something. As we were stuffing our faces, Claudia comes around handing out roses to the men/boys to give to their dates. Complimenting my son and his daper outfit she hands him a rose and tells him to give it your mommy. At the moment he lights up with a big smile as if he paid for the rose himself. I can tell he felt like a gentleman and good that he could give his mother a red rose on Valentine's day. That small gesture was very thoughtful and appreciated. I apologize for my essay, but they desired it. I love the service, the ambiance, the food, and service. I haven't seen my mother smile so much in a while. So it bought me great joy to give my mother this experience on Valentine's day. I thank Nonna Angela's staff for such a wonderful experience.
